Tammy stared at the mountain of paper work that had suddenly appeared on the desk. She knew it had to done but it didn't mean she had to like it. Sighing she turned the computer on, knowing that the sooner she started the better.

"Hey."

"Oh, hi Baby." She looked up to see the man she considered her surrogate brother walk into the communal office. Sebastian smiled slightly before taking his glasses off and putting them back on again. "You ok?"

"I get my results today."

"The REACT exams? I thought you were all good with them."

"The practical stuff yeah." Sebastian nodded. "But I need to pass the written assessment too."

"Baby." She looked him in the eyes. "Sebastian, you know I would be so glad for you to pull out and stay where you are. Yes, I know that's selfish but after Christopher, you know."

"You want us all safe."

"I do." She nodded. "I want my family safe, but here or on a REACT Call I can't guarantee that. Him getting shot taught me that if nothing else." She paused. "Doesn't mean I am going to stop being overprotective."

"I would never expect you to." He smiled as she turned back to the computer. "Where is everyone?"

"Er, hopefully doing some work." Tammy glanced over to Hannah's abandoned desk and smirked slightly, realising that Carter was missing too. Sebastian frowned a little, not really knowing what Tammy was suggesting but startled as Rita appeared in the room.

"Dwayne has gone to see Christopher and Patton is in the computer room."

"OK, what about the two Lovebirds?" Tammy asked as Sebastian's eyes widened.

"Hannah and Carter? I. Since when?" He was totally lost as both women shook their heads.

"A while. Don't think they think we know yet." Rita answered. "I don't know. Hannah said she had a meeting with her lawyer about the divorce but." She shrugged. Tammy smiled, glad that her friend was finally letting her disaster of a marriage go.

Sonja threw her jacket in the general direction of the sofa as she sat beside Christopher. She was exhausted - FBI liaison to NCIS was proving to be more taxing than she had bargained for. Sighing she rested her head on his shoulder.

"Miss me?"

"Don't flatter yourself, Country Mouse." She smiled as he kissed her head. Her eyes closed slightly as he wrapped his arm around her shoulder. "It was harsh today."

"How so?"

"Start back to work and I can tell you." She paused. "You know you want to and you know Patton set a precedent for having people in wheelchairs as part of the team." She pulled away. "Oh and I am going to make myself scarce for the rest of the day."

"Why?"

"Pride called." She tilted her head to look at him more closely. "Said you ain't answered the cell phone. He's coming over. Wants to discuss the future."

Christopher frowned slightly, wondering exactly what his best friend had come up with this time.
