Connor was in his apartment getting ready to call it a good morning's work of taking on the criminal purge of Star City. Suddenly the glass shattered as a man in Deathstroke armor broke through the window. Connor looked over at the figure, "JJ," he muttered under his breath as he grabbed a knife and threw it at the man. He deflected the knife and drew his sword, "JJ wants to talk to you."

Connor charged at the man he dodged the first sword strike and then grabbed a table and threw it against the man. Unfortunately the man was able to grab his sword and put it against Connor's neck. Before he could react the man conked Connor on the head and he passed out.

When he came to he saw JJ standing over him with a bloody knife. He looked at himself and saw cuts and scratches. Suddenly he heard a very high pitched sound and he saw all the glass around him break. Behind him Zoe was fighting off Deathstroke agents, JJ looked over and saw his agents being beaten. As a gift JJ stabbed Connor in the chest and then jumped out of the building to escape. "Connor? CONNOR?" Zoe ran over to grab him, "WILLIAM CONNOR'S BEEN STABBED!"

Zoe got him over to the bunker and moved him onto a table, William had brought a med kit. "Call John and Lyla!" Zoe yelled, William got them on the phone and told them what had happened. John was the first one there, "WHERE IS HE!?"

"He is not looking too good. We were able to pause the bleeding but we don't think we can get the rest of the blade out!"

John ran over and took a scalpel and started to carefully take the rest of the blade out of his shoulder. Once he was stable everyone took a rest, "How did this happen?" John asked

Zoe and William looked at each other and silently agreed not to say that it was JJ, "One of the Deathstroke gang stabbed him."

Suddenly they heard a beeping, they looked over at Connor who started seizing. All of a sudden his heart stopped, John ran over and grabbed a defibrillator. "No no no." John muttered as he started it up. He charged but nothing happened, "DAMN IT! WILLIAM SEE IF YOU CAN FIX THIS!" William ran over and opened up the machine, he looked it over and then closed it up. He gestured at John to try again. John charged the defibrillator, "Clear." The shock went through, but his heart didn't start again. He tried again, "Clear!" the second time they heard and saw his heartbeat go back to normal.

Hours and hours went by of them waiting for Connor to wake up. Everyone sat in the bunker, slowly Connor started to open his eyes. As soon as he got up everyone rushed over to him, "Connor!" After a while of them talking and hugging they let Connor get up and get changed. When he came back John and Lyla were waiting for him, "Good news! We are going to have dinner at Oliver's and Felicity's house, and your brother is coming!"

"Wait JJ's coming?"

"Yes he was nice enough to come over during his work day."

John and Lyla left the bunker to get to the car, before Connor left to the car William called him over, "Are you going to be okay?"

"What do you mean?"

"You know with JJ being over."

"I'll be fine."

Connor walked out with his mom and dad and they got into a car taking them to Bloomfield. As Connor looked out the window and saw all the trees passing by as they left Star City, he thought about his brother and how he had destroyed the city. He finally realized that they were there. Connor got out and walked over to the house, he knocked on the door, "Mia can you get the door?" he heard someone call out.

"Hey Mia!" Connor said as she opened the door.

"Oh my god! Connor are you okay?!"

"Yeah I'm fine, just got beaten I'm fine though."

"Okay." she said.

Mia moved over and let him in, Connor walked inside and then greeted everyone. He walked over to a cooler and grabbed a beer. Connor was about to take a sip when Diggle grabbed it right out of his hand. "Not yet Connor you still have one year."

"Hey! He can still grab me one." said a voice

"Roy!"

He walked in with Nyssa, Talia, Thea and their kids Alessia and Alex, Oliver ran up and hugged his sister. They talked for a long time as Oliver fixed dinner for everyone. Oliver had invited tons of family friends, "I hope you still have a seat at the table, kid." Oliver looked over at the doorways and saw one of his oldest friends in the world, "Hey Slade! Glad you could make it."

"Glad to be invited."

While everyone talked Connor and Mia left to go into her room. They talked about their families and what had happened to Connor, "Are you sure that you are okay?" Mia asked

"Yeah I'm fine."

WIlliam and Zoe walked into Mia's room with Alessia and Alex. They hadn't seen Alessia or Alex in a very long time. Roy and Thea had been traveling with their kids ever since Thea, Roy, Nyssa and Talia became the leader of the new League of Assassins. Connor looked over at Mia and saw her carrying her little brother Lucas. "Connor...Connor!" Mia yelled, "Stare much."

"Sorry, I was thinking."

William gave a confused look at Connor, "Hey Connor can I talk to you." Connor nodded and followed William out of the room and closed the door to Mia's room behind him. Before William could start talking Connor heard the door open and looked over at it. When he saw who walked through the door his eyes darkened and he clenched his fists.

"Hey Connor." said a figure

Connor had to fight the urge not to strangle his brother as he walked over towards him. William was too shocked to do anything, JJ gave him a fake hug and said quietly in his ear, "How's your shoulder?" Everyone else at the table started to pick up food and take it outside to eat in their backyard. Before Connor could think of what to do he heard Mia, "JJ! I'm so glad that you could make it!" She ran up at him and hugged him. Zoe walked out of the room and they all saw that she had rage in her eyes. Once JJ had greeted everyone they left to go outside. Connor had grabbed a knife from his table, once everyone was outside Connor turned as fast as he could in an attempt to stab JJ. "Not yet Connor, Not yet." JJ said as he stopped Connors arm and pressed Connors shoulder making him drop the knife.

"Is everything okay Connor, I thought I heard something?" Mia asked as she walked inside.

JJ stepped over the knife so Mia couldn't see it, "Everything is fine, right Connor?" Connor glared at JJ and then glanced at Mia. He then lightened his expression and replied, "We're all good." He smiled at Mia as he started to turn and walked outside.

When they got outside Connor saw Mia sitting down in the corner of the backyard. He saw her hair resting gracefully on her shoulders, he saw her smile and his heart skipped a few beats. She is amazing. He thought. Connor walked over and sat down next to her, she smiled at him as they sat in silence for a few minutes looking at their families laughing and having fun. "So we were kind of cut off before. What were you going to say?"

"Oh just how I don't think that I should take the mantle."

"Look Connor I know that you think that I should get to be the Green Arrow but my father will never let me. Also you would make a great Green Arrow you have been training for that role for a long time. You should take it."

Connor sat there for a while thinking, "Are you sure?"

"Definitely." she smiled at him.

"Thank you Mia." He said and hugged her, they sat there for a while with their arms draped around the other. Across the backyard William looked over and saw the two of them, he smiled as he knew how much Connor truly cared for Mia. Unfortunately JJ also saw them when he did he began to hatch a plan.

"Bye Connor, See you soon." Mia said as Connor walked out of the house and made his way over to his parents car. "Bye Mia."
