Agnarr didn't want to believe that this was an Arendellian ship at the docks of the small island he had been living on, herding sheep for.. who knew how long now? He didn't want to trust it, gently moving the sheep along with his crook to ignore the sheep and meet up with the other herder in field, until a while later a boy rushed over to him. Excitedly telling him that the crew wanted to talk to him. After leaving the flock with the other herder, Agnarr went to meet the crew.

He recognized their uniforms, spoke with them in their dialect better than the island natives. They told him the tale of Elsa and Anna, the coronation, the freeze, how they were almost ruled by a power hungry son of the Southern King, how the girls worked together to fix everything and now all was well. Even Iduna had returned home, safe and sound. They asked him to return, to come home to his kingdom. To his family.

He agreed almost immediantly, making preperations with the natives of the island to take over his sheep and to leave his home there for his old one. He left with them, a few days later, a bag of clothes on his back being his only possesion. That month at sea, it was the worst.

When he arrived in Arendelle, he had been taken right to the castle, straight to a room to be examined by the doctor. Soon after his check up, being given a clean bill of health, Iduna was let in. The two shared a long and loving embrace, complete with a kiss.

"Where were you?" Iduna asked, sitting in the chair beside the bed, holding one of his hands and stroking his cheek.

Agnarr was humming with tears rolling down his face, leaning into her touch, "I was on a small island, herding sheep. It was.. peaceful.." He looked at her, turning to kiss her fingertips, "but it wasn't here. It wasn't home."

There was a knock at the door, making Iduna smile. She stood up and walked to it, opening it as Agnarr watched with a smile on his face. Wordlessly, she gently ushered someone inside, Agnarr catching glimpses of their daughters.

Anna and Elsa entered, in that order, Agnarr smiling wider as he saw them all grown up. They were right there! Well, he saw them looking at him, he was a lot to take in now. Thin, scarred, lords above he looked different. But, he was still smiling, still crying tears of joy as he looked at them..

"My girls." Were the first two words out of his mouth to his daughters.

The two wasted no time moving to embrace him, crying and holding onto him like little girls that had had nightmares the night prior. Agnarr didn't want to let them go, until there was the sounds of a baby's discomfort that surprised him so much he let go.

"Oh, and who is this?" Asked the man, his eyes still bright from his tears, noticing the baby only just now.

"This is Agnarr II," his oldest said proudly, moving her son to show him off, "he's my son."

"A.. A son.." The words were said slowly, as though he had missed something in them. "You have a child. Oh Elsa that's.." He was smiling and on the verge of more tears.

Elsa chuckled good naturedly, "well, I'm not the only one who has a child." She smiled, gesturing for Anna to explain as their father turned to her.

"You have one as well, duckling?" He asked in happiness as Iduna was back at his side with a smile of her own.

Anna's eyes shone in fondness. "I do. Her name is Mimi, and she's mine and Kristoff's little gosling."

"Grandchildren.." Agnarr said softly, trying to wrap his mind around the notion. To think! Him, a grandfather? He wouldn't have believed it himself.

Elsa shifted Agnarr before offering him to her father, "would you like to hold him, Papa?"

The man smiled, silently holding his arms out to take the child. Said child seemed curious in this stranger, so there was no crying nor fussing during the hand off. To say it felt strange was, an understatement- Agnarr felt like it was all those years ago when the girls were young so he was used to this, it was the baby that felt strange. His arms, so thin and yet strong, embracing him and holding him to the chest of someone he had just met? Not so fun. But, it was the feeling of the heartbeat that kept him from making any sounds here nor there of displeasure. It was actually soothing, now that he took a second, and started to fall asleep in the man's hold.

"He's so small," Agnarr said softly, the tears falling anew as he looked at his daughters and wife. "How old is he?"

"He's a year." Elsa said with a smile and tears of her own. "He had his first birthday last month." She took him back slowly, so he could still drift off to sleep.

As Agnarr looked back down at his grandson, there was the sudden stomping of feet as a rush of pale green entered the room.

"Mama!" A girl cried happily, hugging her legs. She then noticed Agnarr and looked up at her mother. "Is that baba?"

Anna nodded. "Yes, Mimi. That's your grandfather."

Mimi looked from her mother to the man before walking over slowly and looking at him. After a few moments, she smiled and climbed up onto the bed to sit with him, "I like him."

Agnarr pulled her close to him in a one armed hug. "And I like you too, little one."

A month later, after regaining much of his strength and having limited interactions with the staff in the castle save for Kai and Gerda, Agnarr was officially welcomed back into the kingdom with a ceremonial announcement. To say he was tired at the end of the ball, from all the dancing and talking he had done, was an understatement. He fell onto the bed with Iduna, holding her close to him with the two sharing mutterings of goodnight as they both let sleep claim them.

Five years later, a gala was being held as a holiday party to ring in the winter season. Crowned Arendellian prince Agnarr II and his cousins prince Thor as well as princess Mimi, as well as their twin Coronian cousins, princess Primrose and prince Flynn, were all sitting around a chair and listening to Agnarr. telling them far away tales of pirates and mermaids. The title of Sir? Elsa gave it to him a year after his return, it went well with Iduna's title of Lady.

Off by the couches, Lady Iduna was talking with the other adults, being her Coronian relatives, former king Frederick and former queen Ariana, Queen Rapunzel and King Eugene. Princess Anna, who was heavily pregnant, and Lord Kristoff were talking animatedly to Elsa after she had brushed off the advances of another suitor, Agnarr chuckling at the look of irritation on her face.

All was well. They were well.
