AN: GG: Enjoy the next update!

The two boys laughed as they ran down the hallways, making their way towards Noctis's room. When they got there, Prompto flopped onto Noctis's bed and sighed.

"Man, I don't know how you can sleep on a bed so soft. It's like air."

"Wouldn't that be a good thing? And, I guess it's nice on my back on bad days," Noctis replied with a shrug.

"Ah makes sense. But it's still sooooo soft. Like if I could afford a bed like this I'd be happy."

Noctis looked up and over at Prompto. "Would you like one? I could probably find where they make them."

"Ah no! You don't need to buy me anything like a bed! Those still cost a fortune! Even for you!"

He laughed. "Alright, alright, no beds for you. We'll just have to come here for you to enjoy the bed as much as possible.

"That I can do," Prompto sighed, practically sinking into the bed.

"You do that. We're just waiting for Specs to get back so we can start your gala training. Do you know how to dance?"

Prompto sat up on the bed, giving Noctis a confused look. "Well depends what you mean by 'dance'. Square dancing, yes. Chocobo dance, also yes."

"Okay. Then, I can at least try and show you how to dance. Does mean you'll have to get up from the bed."

"Aww," Prompto pouted. "But wait, you mean, you'll teach me?"

"If you want me to teach you. I've had plenty of dance lessons during my life."

"I think it would be less weird if it were with you. I don't think I could handle dancing with some random stranger," Prompto said as he jumped off the bed.

"You might have to get used to that idea. I bet you'll get some invitations that night," Noctis said with a smile. "Okay, come here and stand up straight and give me your hands."

That earned a little laugh from Noctis. "Thanks. These were some of the lessons I didn't really mind. Now, let's make this a bit more complicated," he said. He then started to guide him through the more complicated waltz steps, including giving Prompto a little spin, then pulling him in close to his chest.

"Whoa, so is this how you get all the girls at these galas? You just spin then around and pull them close?"

Noctis tried to not blush when he realized what he had done. "Yeah, it's a good trick. Maybe you'll find your own girl to woo. I'll show you how to do it too."

"Romance tips from you? Ha! I didn't think you were the type!"

"Oh- oh no, you need Gladio for those, but I can show you the fancy dance moves."

"You'd think he'd give them to me? The special ways that I can get myself a nice girl at a gala? There are going to be girls there... right? Not just a bunch of stuffy old people?"

Noctis scrunched up his nose at that. "Yeah, there should be some I'm sure. This is aimed at a youth program, so I bet they invite plenty of the activists who help out. As for Gladio, you'll have to ask him yourself, but I'm sure you'll convince him."

"Ah, well I guess we'll see how it goes. Who knows..." Prompto replied, his eyes drifting to the side. "Maybe I'll even find a girlfriend 'cause of this."

Noctis felt his stomach drop at that but did his best to not let it show. This only confirmed some of his worst fears. "Maybe! That would be great. But she'd better be awesome for you."

"Yeah! I just would really like to meet someone nice... y'know? Someone who gets me."

"Yeah, no, that makes complete sense. You should find someone like that." He managed to get the words out while feeling he was being gutted.

"Hey, you could find someone too, right? There are hundreds of girls who'd probably want to get to know you more," Prompto offered.

"I suppose so. Maybe I'll get lucky," he said softly.

"You're the prince! You're probably the most lucky guy in the whole world!"

"I don't know if I would say that. But I guess I'm friends with you. That makes me pretty lucky."

Prompto stumbled a little in their dance. "M-Me? I think you have it switched. I should be lucky I'm friends with you. I'm not very special..."

"I think you are. But, agree to disagree." Noctis reached out to steady him gently.

Prompto lowered his head, shaking it slightly. "I just... I don't think that..."

Suddenly, Ignis was standing in the doorway clearing his throat. "I hope I am not interrupting anything."

Noctis looked over at Ignis before stepping away from Prompto. "I was just- trying to get a jump start on the dancing lessons. I know I would hurt if I tried etiquette without you."

"Well, you seem like you had the dancing handled but leave the etiquette to me."

"Of course. I know Prom's in good hands with you Spec's. Is that what you have planned next?" Noctis asked.

"We will go over dining etiquette," Ignis replied.

"Oh boy... that sounds hard..."

"It's not that bad, and you're in the best hands possible," Noctis assured him. "Do you want me to stick around?"

"I believe you have some reports to read through Noctis. I assure you I won't overwhelm Prompto right now," Ignis told both of them. "No need to hover."

"See you later , Noct," Prompto said with a small wave.

"I'll be back for you soon, promise," Noctis said while going over to his office to do the work Ignis had obviously set aside for him. He knew he wouldn't get a chance to watch these lessons.

"So..." Prompto said when Noctis started working. "Do we stay here or go somewhere else?"

"If you remain low volume, we have no reason to not remain here. He'll get into his reading soon enough if we don't bother him. As much as he pretends he doesn't care," Ignis confessed while putting out a place setting quietly.

"Oh, okay that works then!" Prompto replied as he followed Ignis to where he was setting up.

Ignis smiled faintly at that and went over to start softly teaching Prompto about the formal etiquette in the easiest method as he could. Prompto did the best that he could to listen. He tried not to look at Noctis as he worked, though it was really hard not to stare.

Every once in a while Noctis would look up and watch Prompto from the edge of his reports. When the blond looked up, he would quickly look down to try and focus again. Ignis was thorough but kept the lesson as easy as he could to keep from overwhelming Prompto during the afternoon.

After everything they learned Prompto sighed and sat down. He ran a hand through his hair. "Man, who knew there was so much stuff you had to do just for sitting at a table!"

"Yeah. It's crazy how much you can do at a table, but sounds like you've got a good grasp at it."

"I guess so! Let's hope I can remember it by dinner! Thanks Iggy!"

"You're welcome. Enjoy the rest of your day."

Ignis left after that, leaving the two alone again. "So video games time?"

"Video game time. I want to see how far we can get into Assassin's Creed tonight!" Noctis said happily while flipping onto the couch.

Prompto moved over and sat down next to let. "Let's get rolling then!"

Noctis settled into the position to play for the night, happy to have this to distract him from their dancing conversation.
