Don't you just hate it when you read something that's factually wrong:

Like a certain material having more mass and lighter. For those that didn't know having more mass means an object being heavier.

I would also often see Spartan 2 augmentations being referred to as genetically enhanced or genetically augmented.

WORNG!

Spartan 2s are Surgically augmented and Spartan 3s are Chemically augmented.

Once in awhile I would also see constellations being used as a reference point.

Constellation doesn't actually exist! Constellations are just random dots in the sky that some random dude in the past connected to form a picture, in actual facts these stars are not connected to each other at all.

These are just some of the common errors that I've spotted, these markers are usually a good indicator that the author of said fic doesn't think too deeply of what he writes.

Now my writing skill might not be the best but I do pride myself for not having any of these logical mistakes.

Now as for Noble's age according to my calculations he should be around 19~23 during the fall of Reach.

As for the weapon damage.

As we know Spartans can easily survive a drop from orbit, Space shuttles typically experience extreme temperatures of up to 1477 C (2691 F) on re-entry.

Now an M6 pistol can kill with 3 shots and a Spartan Laser can kill a Spartan with 1 shot.

So most of the fics out there are actually under powering UNSC weapons, cuz it uses chemical ammunitions.

To equate mid 26th century weapons to modern day 21st century weapons would be like saying a modern day Scar-H is the same as a 15th century matchlock. The time difference between these weapons is coincidentally also 500 years by the way.

--story start--

Soon after that Spartan B312 decided to sneak aboard one of the transports ships heading off world, then he started wondering around working as a mercenary to raise funds necessary to for his slipspace drive.

A ship is easily enough to get, all he has to do is make the occupants disappear once he gets aboard one of them.

Obviously his whole Spartan get up would need to change as he won't want to raise attention now does he?

His hight of 205 cm (6 ft 9 in) while eyebrow raising but it's not that special especially if one considers the tallest man in history Robert Wadlow was 272 cm (8 ft 11 In).

The tallest soldier in history Väinö Myllyrinne was 224 cm (7 ft 4 in) tall and the tallest WW2 German soldier was Jakob Nacken who stood 221 cm (7 ft 3 In), so he is not the strangest sight in history.

While his high is rare but his armour on the other hand would most definitely bring everyone's attention to him.

So in order to not look too out of place he chose to forgo the hard plates of his armour and choose to wear only the black body undersuit beneath it.

(The first mission master chief took he and his team only wore a black body undersuit, they infiltrated an insurrectionist base and kidnapped its commander)

People running around in skin tight outfit is common enough that he won't raised an eyebrow running around in one.

Even though he forgo the hard plates he is far from vulnerable as in it's place he puts on one of the native's mass effect shield generator.

As for where he's hiding his mass effect shield generator? The same place where Miranda hides her's.

As for the head? He kept his original helmet.

Suffice to say the Spartan laser and M6 pistol he brought from his galaxy can't be used as those things are quite eye catching especially the damage they do.

He adopted the call sign "Noble", even though he prefers going solo and he hates to admit it but... he did find their company enjoyable.

He starts wondering around taking on various high risk high reward missions, although he did set a few terms before he takes on any mission.

First, the employer must be human

Second, the primary target must not be human.

Third, he works alone

All though he comes with a few quirks but once he takes on a mission he'll complete it 100% of the time, it matters not how hard the challenge is as long as the employer can pay the corresponding rewards for the challenge then he'll complete for certain.

One time he was commissioned to kill Batarian pirate, once he took the job he mysteriously disappears for a few months.

Months later a peculiar news arrives to the employer that the target dies due to the ship crashing into a planet.

Then the "Noble" mysteriously reappears before him in his office pass all his security and alarms.

"Noble" then tossed him the head of the target and requests that he up hold his end of the deal.

Suffice to say with such a stunt instantly got him a ton of attention and people started calling him the "The Noble Wolf"

During his travels Spartan B312 got frequent employment from a pro-human Organisation called Cerberus.

Cerberus is also the Spartan's favourite employer as Cerberus is very generous to rewarding a job well done.

3 years passed just like that

All is going well until one fateful day when someone came looking for him.

The various bugs he has planted on fake hideout alerted him that someone is at his front door.

He turns a video footage of the various spy cameras, he has installed at his fake hideout .

B312 observes as who the hell came looking for him.

On the screen shows 3 individuals.

The one leading is a human female with red hair in N7 armor without the helmet, the Spartan oddly recognises this person sharing quite the resemblance to "Hero" of the citadel.

Next to her is a human female with dark hair, she's wearing a skin tight outfit.

Finally we have the Quarian and she looks well... all Quarians looks the same. The Spartan find it odd though that an Alien would be working with a Cerberus agent.

The red head nocked of his fake hideout's door for a bit before proceeding to hack the door, forcefully gaining entrance to his fake dwelling.

They searched around but found nothing of interest.

"Shepard, It seems that the person we're trying to find is not here" B312 hears what the Quarian said.

"According to the information we received he should be here" saids the Cerberus operative.

They continued to look around until the Quarian eventually found one of the hidden listening devices in the room.

"Shepard I've found something" the Quarian said as she examines the device with her Omni-tool.

"It seems to be a listening device" she said as she finishes her examination.

"He knows we're here" the Red head said before picking up the listening device and talking to it "I am commander Shepard of the Normandy, we're here to pick you up"

'Ahh yes...' The Spartan then recalls reading an offer from Cerberus, he never replied back like all others he had turned down, but it seems that Cerberus didn't seem to get the memo.

While it pays quite handsomely but it would require him working under someone's direct supervision , aboard a ship and not to mention working with others, working with Aliens.

While he did do some jobs that require him to be part of a team (when the employer paid high enough) but in all cases he would find himself being dragged down and forced to babysit his weak feeble teammates.

Which was one reason he came up with the whole working alone thing.

Besides that Spartan B312 is really not to keen on the idea of working with Aliens, working with ordinary humans is already such a hassle and now you're asking him to work with filthy xenos!?

B312 then turns his the hidden speakers within his fake hideout and said "I'm not interested in your offer you may go now"

Unfortunately the Red head doesn't seems to take his refusal too kindly, if the twitch on her brow is anything to go by.

"Listen here! Do you know how much I've had to go through just to find you!?" Shepard lashes out.

"I've had to scour the galaxy fighting crime lords and bands of mercenaries who were after you just to get here! " Shepard lays out all the frustrations she has to deal with on her journey to find this mystical "Noble" who can complete any mission he has taken.

Naturally B312 doesn't care about what the feelings of the little red head, but before he could tell her to leave, the woman in skin tight outfit steps up and says "I'm operative Lawson working for Cerberus, we've come here to offer you a deal"

"A deal?" B312 asked as he eyes the 3 home invaders of any suspicious movements.

"Yes, we've recently learned the you've been going around requesting rare materials , equipments and strange custom parts." She said as pull out a certain diagram from her Omni-tool.

B312 of course recognises it as just a miniature particle accelerator that he had requested from a certain employer as the reward for the completion of his mission.

Nothing much can be gleamed with that except that he's perhaps interested in nuclear physics, it doesn't really contain any ground breaking technology as the Spartan will personally be handling the ground breaking stuff.

He just let the let the locals build the unimportant bits to expedite the process.

(Fun fact Doctor Michio Kaku built a particle accelerator in his parents garage when he was in high school)

"Cerberus is willing to help you acquire... perhaps even make the parts you need" she finishes

that got B312's interest as if he accepts then he'll shave off a few years trying to build a slipspace drive.

"On top of the previous offer?" B312 asked trying to gain the most benefit as he can.

Besides the slipspace drive he'll still needs a robust ship that survive the long journey between galaxies which will take at least centuries.

There was a faint twitch on the black haired woman's face as she clearly know how expensive some of the equipments he has been looking for, but according the data that Cerberus has been able to gather this "Noble Wolf" might just very well worth the price and more.

"On top of the previous offer" Miranda replies.

-- chapter end--

Now this is what I perfect insertion, no lose end and natural looking insertion into the Normandy crew.
