Ep. 2: Life on Earth

(Note: It's been a while since I've published the first episode of The Life of Amity Blight. For this episode, we'll be tackling Amity's life on Earth, long before she met her future wife, Luz Noceda. She would also reunite with Boscha, long before the latter gained a split personality in the form of Yubel. Enjoy this episode.)

Since arriving on Earth due to their Dimensional Wall's collapse, the Blight family went out of the forest to find a new home. Odalia's death at the hands of Legeiel had struck Alador with grief. Meanwhile, Amity had been traversing the landscape along with her siblings whilst trying to find a new place they called home.

Eventually, the children stumbled upon a house that of a medium size, as well as ornately decorative. It substituted as a temporary shelter, whilst Alador being the breadwinner. Meanwhile, Amity had begun tracking the moments since their arrival on Earth in a notebook, that she would keep dear to her for quite some time; years even.

"Hi Mittens!" expressed Emira, Amity's elder sister. "You seem to be handling the situation well..." she remarked. Amity had turned herself away from Emira, as she suddenly became silent. She vaguely glanced at the window, with the beaming light from the sun piercing her eyes, before she returned to writing. "Mittens, would you like to converse?" Emira questioned Amity; a few seconds later she had begun speaking again. "You know Em, I've been thinking. What did I do to get us here? On Earth, no less?"

"Mittens, I'm afraid we were caught in the middle of the Dark Spark War," replied Emira. "And it cost us our mother's death." Without a single word, Amity looked at her diary and detailed both The Dark Spark War and her mother's demise in Legeiel's hands. "I guess times change.", lamented Amity, resulting in both her and Emira hugging it out.

A few days later…

Back at Wonder World, the Megiddo, still trapped in the Chasm of the Dead, decided to plan their next move. "What shall we do next, Lord Mercer?", remarked Storious. "Oh, I don't know, let me out!", shouted Boscha, who was taken prisoner by the Megiddo. "Huh, I guess we completely forgot about you.", remarked Zoous. "You seem rather adept in our tactics, aren't you?"

Boscha was able to escape using an Intangibility potion she concocted a few days ago, but was then caught by Storius and Legeiel. "Going somewhere, Boscha?", asked Legeiel, who proceeds to force her arms behind her back. "Zoous, use the Forbidden Curse!", proclaimed Legeiel. With no hesitation, Zoous casted the Forbidden Curse on Boscha, which is signified by her excruciating pain. "What did you do to me?!", yelled Boscha.

"I casted the Forbidden Curse on you; think of it like a poison chalice without the actual poison.", replied Zoous. "Then why'd you compare that thing to a poison chalice?!" Boscha proclaimed. "You see, the Forbidden Curse implanted a deity inside you. Once a certain amount of time had passed, that power will awaken within you…" Zoous explained to Boscha about the curse. "And we call that deity…Yubel." Shocked at this revelation, Boscha tried to escape, stealing Legeiel's Book Gate, and used it to escape the Chasm, finally arriving on Earth.

However, it was at this moment Boscha knew what Zoous meant, as he injected Yubel's essence directly into her heart, as evidenced by her chest pain. "I need to go somewhere safe." She thought to herself. As she walked towards a bus stop, she encounters Camila Noceda and her daughter, Luz. "You seem to be lost, mija.", remarked Camila, who was observing Boscha. "Are you looking for someone?" She asked.

"Yes! Her name is Amity Blight." Boscha blurted. As all of this was going on, Amity was heading towards the same bus stop. It was at that moment in time that she reunited with Boscha. "Hey, Boscha!" Amity called out. "How are you? It's been days.", asked Boscha. "I'm doing fine, Boscha.", replied Amity. This little reunion led to Amity's first encounter with Luz.

"Uh, hello, you must be new around here." She introduced herself to Luz. "Yeah, I just moved here. Who are you?" She replied. "I'm Amity Blight, by the way.", replied Amity. "Hi, I'm Luz.", replied Luz. As they all sat down on the bus stop, all the sudden Legeiel was able to escape the Chasm and attacked Amity, Luz, Boscha, and Camila. While they were able to escape Legeiel's clutches, it didn't last long as he was able to catch up with them.

Meanwhile, as Alador was tidying up the house, he used one of his WRBs to sense Legeiel's presence as he was about to attack Amity. Not wanting to lose another family member, Alador teleported to where they were and caught Legeiel's sword. "You are not hurting my family ever again!", proclaimed Alador, who enacted his crusade against Legeiel. "Bold of you to assume that I would kill your daughter, Alador.", replied Legeiel. And so, the two began to clash, although Alador didn't transform, believing that he could beat Legeiel without transforming.

And sure enough, he was able to fend himself off against Legeiel, but he was able to keep up with his opponent in no time flat. However, Amity used a stun spell to subdue Legeiel, forcing him into a retreat. "You know, I can't wait for my kind to break free from Troy's sealing glyph. And when we do, our war will continue.", proclaimed Legeiel. "Mark my words, Alador, I'll be back!" Shortly after, he escapes. However, that's when Yubel's essence corrupted Boscha and she joins Legeiel in his retreat. "Boscha, don't do this!", cried out Amity. "Boscha's not here!", replied Yubel as she leaves.

"Are you all okay?" Alador asked. "We're fine, dad.", replied Amity. After inviting the Nocedas into their house, Alador explained as to what's going on. "You see, we're from another universe, Wonder World to be specific." He exposits. "The guy who was attacking you earlier was Legeiel, one of the Megiddo's generals. He, Zoous, and Storius are all serving under Andrew Mercer."

"We came here to Earth mainly because of uncle Troy's Sealing Glyph, and it took us into a collapsing Dimensional Wall." Amity explained. "So, basically, we're stuck here for a while until we could find a way to get back home." As Emira and Edric come back from a day of school, they're greeted by the presence of the Nocedas. "Em, Ed, these are the Nocedas.", said Alador. The twins wasted no time introducing themselves as they leave the living room. Meanwhile, Amity had growing closer to Luz, but never made her feelings known to her.

"Uh, Dad, can we go outside?", asked Amity, to which her father agrees. Later, the two bonded with one another, as Luz brought out her copy of The Good Witch Azura. "You're a fan of Azura, too?" Amity asked Luz. "Why, yes I am.", replied Luz. Shortly after, they stopped by a local coffee shop, which would be their go to place for hanging out.

"You know, you're probably my first human friend around here." Amity confessed. "But then again, we just met." Luz merely giggled, thinking that she's bluffing. "I mean, you probably have so many other friends back home." Amity just stayed silent throughout their time in the coffee shop. Luz, wanting to know more about Wonder World, asked Amity if she could do any magic. "Not now, Luz. Not here.", replied Amity. Luz ultimately agrees. Once the afternoon came and pass, it was time for Luz and Amity to part ways. "Will I ever see you again?", asked Luz. Amity, who couldn't contain her feelings, remarked, "Luz, this is just the beginning…" And so, the two hugged it out before they leave, as Camila was departing from the Blight household. As it turns out, her friendship with Luz was short-lived, as she and her mom moved to another state shortly thereafter.

11 years later…

11 years had passed since Luz and Amity first met. Amity, now 25, is a freelance photographer wanting to travel around the world. As Amity was preparing herself for all of this, however, all the sudden, Luz came back into her life, ready to go with her on an adventure. "Welcome back, Luz.", Amity greeted. "How are you, my dear?"

"I'm fine, Amity. It's just, I haven't seen you in over 11 years.", Luz replied. She lamented that it was because of her that she wanted to learn magic. However, she couldn't find a way to Wonder World even if she tried. "Well, I have something for you, dear." Amity used a Book Gate to open the gate between Earth and Wonder World. "Want to go on an adventure with me?" She asked Luz, reaching her hand to her. Luz eventually says yes, and with the two holding hands, Amity prepares herself to return to place she hasn't seen in over 11 years…

As The Life of Amity Blight comes to a close, I can't wait to finally get started on Kamen Rider Saber: The Neverending Story, as well as resume production of Kamen Rider Re:Generations.
