The Miraculous Warrior: Moonpaw's Secret And Backstory

Summary

Marinnette has a secret that nobody knows about, and not the secret about her being one of Paris's super heroes, Ladybug. No, it's a secret that only her real birth mother, and her best friend, a young she-cat named Cinderpaw, know about, and her real mother is a cat, specifically, the leader of ThunderClan, she is Moonpaw, the youngest kit of Bluestar.

My Partner Is A Cat?

I just stared, wide-eyed at the black cat that sat in front of me. She was all black with blue-gray paws and streaks of the same color all over her fur, and her eyes were an icy blue.

"Stop staring at me you Mouse-brain! Now can you please get us out of here?" The cat hissed, narrowing her eyes and lashing her tail.

"L-Ladybug? Is that you?" I spluttered, still staring down at the cat in front of me. But this time, it was Ladybug's Kwami who answered my question.

"Yes, Chat Noir. That's Ladybug, now could you please get us somewhere else besides out in the open?" Tikki asked, and I nodded and began to run from roof to roof.

"So... are you Ladybug or not?" I asked, tilting my head as I stared once again at the cat in front of me. The cat sighed and her tail twitched in annoyance.

"Ugh! By the stars above, are you really that Mouse-brained? What do you think, Chat Noir? Use your head." The cat meowed, a bit of sass, snark and annoyance was lacing her tone.

"Well, you sound like Ladybug. And no one else has a ladybug kwami sitting on their head." I said, and the cat rolled her eyes and flicked her ears.

"Bingo." The cat meowed, her tail swishing back and forth as she licked her paw. I stared at her with a strange look on my face.

"And Chat Noir? My name's Moonpaw, not Ladybug." The cat replied, after she had finished grooming herself clean. I blinked and tilted my head in confusion at the strange name.

"Moonpaw? Who name's their cat Moonpaw?" I asked, and Moonpaw's fur bristled and her ears went flat on her head.

"I'm a ThunderClan cat, I'm six moons old. And to answer you're question, my mother named me, I used to be Moonkit." Moonpaw meowed, her tone sounding a bit hostile and defensive.

"What's ThunderClan?" I asked, and Moonpaw hissed in frustration and dug her paws into the dirt with a frustrated sigh.

"StarClan, please help me!" Moonpaw muttered under her breath as she stared up at the clear blue sky, I blinked in confusion. 'The sky isn't going to respond, and who or what is this StarClan?' I wondered to myself, as the small cat began to pace around in circles.

"I'm the youngest daughter of the ThunderClan leader, Bluestar. My brother is Stonefur and my sisters are Mistyfoot and Mosskit. I was scent here as a kit to fulfill the destiny that StarClan had planned for me." Moonpaw explained, her tail thrashing back and forth as she continued pacing around.

"Wait, wait, wait, what's going on? I'm confused, what's ThunderClan? What's StarClan? And what's with the strange names?" I asked, firing off questions at the young she-cat who paused and stared at me with a disbelieving look on her face.

"I don't have time to explain all of that to you, I need to get home and find out what in the name of StarClan I'm supposed to do." Moonpaw snapped, narrowing her eyes and staring up at the sky with something that I couldn't identify.

"Wait, Moonpaw. Can I help you?" I asked, and the young cat shook her head. I opened my mouth to protest but Moonpaw spoke up before I could say a word.

"I'm sorry, Chat Noir. But you can't, I have to do this on my own. Go home, kitty. I'll be fine, I'm a ThunderClan apprentice after all." Moonpaw meowed, smiling confidently as she looked up at me with determination shining in her icy blue eyes.

I was about to open my mouth to say something to change her mind, but one look from Ladybug's, err... I mean from Moonpaw's Kwami made me shut my mouth and I just sighed and nodded my head reluctantly.

"My Lady, wait. How are you going to get home as a cat?" I asked, and Moonpaw's eyes widened as big as Saucers and she cursed under her breath.

"Fox dung! I'm so dead, my parents are going to flip if they find out about this!" Moonpaw yowled, her tail thrashing from side to side, and her ears flattening against her head as she began to pace around in circles once again. She was also muttering things under her breath and glancing around wildly as if she was expecting someone to jump out of the bushes.

I watched with concerned eyes as Moonpaw began muttering curses under her breath. I couldn't make out what she was saying, but it was strange hearing my partner curse, I had never in my life heard Moonpaw curse. After a few more minutes of pacing, Moonpaw stopped and raised her head to the sky and yowled something that I didn't fully understand.

"Oh my StarClan, please help me! What do I do? What do I do?" Moonpaw yowled, as she stared up at the sky and she dug her paws into the dirt nervously and her tail fluffed up.

"Moonpaw, calm down. You need to stop for a moment, take a deep breath." I say, my own ears flatting against my head as Moonpaw slowly calmed down and stared up at me with fearful icy blue eyes.

"I can't calm down, Chat Noir. I have no idea what to do and my parents are going to use my fur for kit bedding if they find out." Moonpaw meowed, as she began needing her paws nervously into the ground again.

"But you need to calm down and take a deep breath, you're not thinking things through clearly, and that's what's making you stress." I tell her gently, and she relaxed and her fur lies flat and her tail stopped thrashing back and forth as she looks back up at me.

"Okay, okay. I'm calm now, but what do I do Chat?" She mewed, staring up at me with fearful icy blue eyes.

"I have a question, what did you mean earlier when you said that your parents are going to use your fur for kit bedding?" I asked, and she laughs at that and flicks her ears back and forth.

"I'll tell you later, but we really should be getting home. Look at the Position of the sun." She meowed, pointing with a paw at the sky and I followed to where I could see that the sun was slowly rising into the sky.
