R&R longer note at the end

Serah smiled as she looked at the colourful decorations strewn around the house she shared with her sister, a long pink and black banner reading "happy birthday Lightning" hung on the back wall of the living room. Hearing a knock at the door she went off to check who it was smiling as Lebreau stood in the doorway, she was wearing a long purple dress and black high heels, her usual messy hair was combed into a neat ponytail as she walked in past Serah smiling.

Five minutes passed as some of Lightning's fellow soldiers entered for the party including her commanding officer Amoudar, all that was left was the star of the show as Serah checked her phone for any notice she might be late knowing how big of deal she made for being on time.

Fang sat in her hotel room reading through her notes while checking through some old newspapers she had acquired at the local library. Reading through the different witness reports she ran her hand through her raven black messy hair trying to make any sense of them. Some reported seeing a six foot being with eight arms, others reported it looked similar to that of a dog, she leaned back in her chair stretching before getting up heading out to a nearby vending machine for a breath of fresh air and a drink.

Grabbing the bottle of water she ordered from the machine she cracked open the bottle taking a long drink sitting on a nearby bench, she leaned her head back slightly enjoying the cooling breeze thinking this mission might be a bit more challenging that she first thought. As she tilted her head down a little she spotted in the dim light of a street lamp the glow of pink hair, she waved over at her as she called out.

"Hi again Serah" She called out to the girl, hearing the call the girl walked over to where Fang was resting. As she got closer Fang realised she had made a mistake, the person she assumed was Serah was taller, her features more mature dressed in what Fang now recognised as the guardian corps uniform. Her white jacket covered a short brown skirt with what appeared to be a sword swinging off her belt.

"Sorry, thought you were someone else" Fang said smiling but noticing the rather intense look from the taller Serah.

"How do you know my sisters name?" She asked a little aggressively "Who are you? Show me some ID". Fang held her hands up her left still clutching the water bottle as she showed she was defenceless.

"Easy now officer" Fang said "I met someone called Serah before as I was crossing the beach after going to your office actually, she was being harassed by some drunk and I just sort of stepped in. My name is Fang, my ID is in my hotel room if you want me to go and fetch it?"

"Lead the way" The woman said stepping to one side, lowering her hands Fang sighed a little standing up leading the woman to where she was staying.

As everyone waited Serah's phone beeped indicating she had a message, checking it she saw it was from Lightning telling her she would be home in five minutes. Serah smiled as she quickly told everyone to get into place turning off the lights waiting for her older sister to walk in.

Lighting opened the door ready to talk with Serah about the woman Fang she had just met, walking into the living room she looked confused turning on the lights as party poppers went off everyone jumped out yelling surprise. She immediately went on guard before looking around spotting her friends, her girlfriend and her sister smiling at her.

"Happy birthday Lightning" Serah said hugging her sister.

Little bit of a shorter chapter for this one, it took me a while to figure out were I wanted this chapter to go but then it came to me. We needed to have Lightning meet Fang and of course, everyone loves a good surprise. So hope you all enjoyed this chapter and I will see you all in the next chapter
