Ginny had always wanted to be a Pokémon Doctor. It had been something she'd talked about for years on end, annoying Leon immensely. Even when they had been endorsed by Chairman Rose, she'd still gone on about it. Although, the endorsement did temporarily push it from her mind. Charity Cases. That's what they were always referred to as. It had bothered the twins, but they never said anything. At least, not in front of people. When they were alone, or hanging out with Sonia, Nessa and Raihan, Ginny took the time to rant.

"I can't believe him!" She yelled, pacing, " Charity Cases! It's not as if we're homeless!"

Leon sighed, running a hand through his shoulder-length purple hair.

"I know it's irritating, Gin, but what can we do about it? If we complain, we could get kicked out of the league."

"I know, I know. Ugh, it just isn't fair." She muttered, sitting on the edge of her bed.

The silence lasted for about a minute, when it was broken by the sound of a tennis ball hitting the ceiling. The twins turned around, Ginny's expression stony. Raihan paused, holding the tennis ball up.

"What?"

Leon rolled his eyes and turned back to his twin.

"Look, the only thing we can do is try and beat the Gym Leaders. I mean, Rose can't have endorsed us just because he pitied us, right?"

Ginny smiled.

"Yeah, I guess. But it still ticks me off. "

After that, the fourteen-year-old decided to dedicate her life to Pokémon, just to prove Rose wrong. Though, her plan backfired somewhat. She had already committed to a course in learning how to become a Pokémon Doctor to, and balancing the two out would prove to be difficult. She didn't get nearly enough sleep, and the bags under her eyes were getting progressively more noticeable. Leon started to worry. He brought it up on numerous occasions, all ending with the same result: 'I'm fine. Just tired, that's all.'

Sometime after the fighting-type Gym, Ginny decided it was too much. She, much to the disappointment of Chairman Rose, dropped out of the League. There was a mixed result from the crowd. Rose spoke to Leon about it a few days after, while Ginny was at a class.

"Leon, do me a favour would you?" He'd asked.

"Yeah, 'course."

"Could you try and convince your twin, erm..."

"Ginny."

"Yes, Ginny, that's right. Could you try and convince her to rejoin the League? Only, the effect her dropping out of it had on the popularity, well..." he paused, "What I'm trying to say is, she was a fantastic Challenger, and it was a real blow losing her. "

The older twin stared at him, looking as though Rose had asked him to push Hop off a building.

"Sir, you're asking me to do something impossible. You saw what was happening to her. Asking Ginny to re-enter the League would destroy her. She wasn't getting any sleep, she hardly ate. It would be like signing her Death Warrant."

"I know you care about her wellbeing, your her twin brother for crying out loud. But her decision has a serious effect on the popularity of the Gym Challenge, you must see that."

Leon stood up, staring defiantly at him.

"You're right, I really do care about her. Enough to know that this would kill her. And if you can't understand that, sir, I'm afraid I can't really carry on debating this with you."

And with that, he stormed out of the room, leaving a fuming Rose behind him.

When Ginny heard, she gave him the biggest hug known to human kind.

"I can't believe you did that!" She exclaimed, laughing.

"Well, it meant Rose would get the picture. And besides, I love you too much. I'm not exactly gonna watch you die, am I?"

"You're a big sap, honestly." His sister said, smiling, "Love you too bro."
