Chapter 2: Where It All Began
(8 Years after the birth of Ash Ketchum)
(Pallet Town)
Pallet was a small town located at the coast of Kanto hence its name Pallet Town . It only housed a population of a few hundred people most of them worked as farmers, worked at restaurants or other such establishments .
But Pallet also housed Kanto's regional Professor and its former champion Samuel Oak and Blue Oak Respectively. It once also housed Kanto's greatest and youngest Champion Red but that is a tale for another time .
Right now it was being prepared for the biggest celebration it had seen since 2of its Residents had become Champion of Kanto. But you may be thinking why it was being prepared for such an event .The reason it was being prepared for such an event was because Kanto's previous Champion Blue Oak had resigned from his positon of champion and pallet was celebrating for its own and mostly it was Blue Oak throwing a party for Lance Blackthorn's ascension to the positon of Champion .
So here we see 2 small boys near the age of 8 running to the professors Lab as fast as there tiny legs could have carried them .These boys were Ash Ketchum and Richie Ketchum both were siblings and Sons of Delia Ketchum .
"Run faster Richie or we not be able to catch them in time." grunted Ash as he was running faster than the two .
"Why do you want to meet them right now Ash its 8 in the morning are you sure they are even here yet? Even if they are they are going to present be present at the festival anyway." asked Richie while breathing heavily . He was never as fit as his brother he was always watching Pokémon battles while his brother was always Exercising for when he would start his journey or something like that . He was always the more mature out of them both .
"So you don't want to meet them right now." asked Ash while running. Richie stopped when his brother asked him the question and reluctantly nodded his head in confirmation . Seeing this he suddenly picked the pace and left to the lab .
(Professor Oaks Lab)
After catching his breath he entered Oaks lab . Adrenaline was rushing through his veins he was about to meet the new Kanto Champion he had to make a good first impression maybe get some tips from him when he asked blue he always replied with," get your Pokémon license first kiddo then maybe I will help you" and finally get in his good graces after all who wouldn't want to be in the Champions good book and the fact he heard the champions little cousin who was around his age was cute was the icing on the cake .
Entering the lab he saw there were four people in the room two of whom he didn't immediately recognize .
"Professor Oak Uncle Blue, Good Morning." He greeted them in a polite tone . Startled by the sudden voice the elder oak turned around to see his Surrogate Grandson Ash . Quickly recovering from the shock of seeing him here he replied .
"Good Morning Indeed Ash, What can I do for you today my boy ? " asked the elderly Oak in a caring voice. Remembering what he was here for he quickly asked .
"Is Champion Lance here Professor Oak ?". Seeing why the boy was here he was about to reply but his son beat him to it .
"Good Morning yourself and the man who you are looking for is right in front of you." Replied Blue . Registering what Blue said he turned to face the man and seeing his face he immediately recognized him as Lance .
"Who is the boy Samuel and why is he looking for me?". Asked Lance while he pretended to not care curiosity was ever present in his voice .
"He has been a fan of yours from quite some time Lance I think it was your Final match in the indigo League that made him a loyal fan. I don't think there is a league recorded match of yours he hasn't seen." said Professor Oak fondly .
"Looks like you had fans way before you became an elite four." said a voice. When he looked at the direction of the voice he saw a blue haired girl the same age as him whom he recognized as lances cousin not many people knew her as she was still quite young to become a trainer but he would be dammed if he didn't know everything about his ideal, as for the rumors concerning the girl he had to admit she did look cute he thought while barley holding down a blush.
"The reason I idolized him was not because of two reasons. First was the fact he had tamed multiple dragons and pseudo legendary at them and have them obey him that is a feat very few can boast about and second reason was the fact after even after having so much raw power he didn't bulldoze his way through the league and refined the power to use it in a calculated and refined manner while using brilliant tactics to take down his enemies and all of that together is absolutely mind blowing." said while shocking others with his analysis for the sake of god he was a 8 year old and people double his age didn't understand half of what he explained .
"That's a pretty good summary of my ability's but there's more to it than just that." said Lance while smirking at the curiosity in ash eyes.
"What is that."asked Ash.
"Every trainer has his secrets you will understand when you will grow up." said lance while eyeing Ash.
"No I understand if you tell everyone about your style they will use it to improve their styles which will kill all uniqueness of your style and they will tear down you your style every way possible to find every weakness in your style and that is just scratching the surface of what the potential problems are." Said Ash with a thoughtful expression on his face again shocking the adults in the room with how far he could think as a child.
"Yes that is very correct Ash and I am very impressed with your ability to think that far ahead." Said lance with an expression of approval on his face.
At that Ash smiled how could he not the Kanto champion and his Idol were impressed by him .
"Say why don't you and Clair go to the coral and play with the Pokémon while Me, Samuel and Blue discus some things I can give you some tips about raising dragon Pokémon afterwards." Asked the young champion .
"Of course why not." Said both Clair and Ash simultaneously then they stooped turning their heads to look at each other, when they saw the other both of them started laughing .The adults all looked at each other with an amused look on their face as the duo left .
"I Can sense the beginning of a beautiful friendship here" thought all of the adults in unison .

Hope all of you liked the Chapter I couldn't find a better place to end the chapter so I did and if any of you didn't like it Well built criticism is always welcome.

zarc4d: I cant wait to see more and find out who are ash's pairings and his pokemon,the only complain I would have is that this chapter is too small,but its a prologue and hopefully the story itself will be bigger.
Thank you for the kind review as for your question I think you will be able to tell one of the main paring of the story in this chapter as for his Pokemon some of them are classic while some are new and exotic. As for the length of the story the amount of words in a chapter are random but they will never be less than 1k and I will update every Friday.
