ARC ONE: WHO ARE WE?

CHAPTER ONE: FEEL THE POWER OF LOVE

[CUE - POWER OF LOVE - HUEY LEWIS AND THE NEWS]

Day in, and day out, Husky has been working for the Stack.

He lost count on how many years it had been, but all that he knew...

He was still working for the Stack, and there was no way out.

Well, that he knew of, anyways.

He leaned his elbow on the spaceship window, frowning.

He watched the stars go by, as he counted them in thousands in his head.

He and the Stack had narrowly escaped becoming enslaved by the Mo'heads, so he wondered...

How were Cooro, Nana and Senri doing?

Were they doing alright?

Were they searching for him?

Husky grimaced at the thought of them being enslaved, or possibly even dead.

He didn't want to think about it.

Chapter 1

Husky is a male fish +Anima and one of the main characters of the series. He was born with the name Myrrha [2], but gained the nickname "Husky" due to his gravely voice, which he now uses as his name.

Appearance

Husky's +Anima marking

Husky is a feminine-looking boy, and is often mistaken for a girl. He has short silver hair and blue eyes.

Husky always wears sapphire earrings which are his most prized possessions. He also usually wears a blue sleeveless jacket and shorts over a black t-shirt and pants. These are accessorized with a black belt, silver waist pouch, black boots and blue gloves.

In his Anima form, he grows gills on his neck, and a fish tail. His Anima markings are on the sides of his neck; they are two curvy lines that represent his gills, and three water droplets below.
Personality

Husky is depicted as having a serious attitude, which in contrast to his more carefree friends often comes across as grumpy and stubborn. This difference leads him to regularly become annoyed and start arguments with others.

Husky has a strong dislike of girls, believing them all to be "noisy, sneaky and selfish".[3] He developed this distrust having grown up watching Sailand's queens cruelty towards each other. [4] This bias led him to initially reject Nana, the only girl in the group, however overtime was able to accept and even become fond of her.

Husky's favorite food is fish, prefering clean and fresh food over greasy and sweet foods. [5]
Skills
Combat

Husky is adept in fighting with a staff, having been taught by Lady Crystala from a young age.
History

Spoiler Warning: Plot and/or ending details follow

Husky was a prince of Sailand. He lived in Stella, at the palace with the other royals. Along with his general studies, Lady Crystala taught him to fight with a staff. After an attempt on his life Husky obtained his Anima, but in Sailand +Anima are enslaved, so Husky fled to Astaria, leaving everyone to believe he had died.

While in Astaria, Husky was caught in a fisherman's net. He was then brought and sold to a circus. There Husky worked in sideshow under the name "Mermaid Princess".
Plot

Spoiler Warning: Plot and/or ending details follow

Husky is rescued from the circus by Cooro, and the two go travelling together. They shortly after meet Senri while protecting a village from a gang of thugs, and Nana in the underground tunnels of Octopus. The four of them travel across Astaria together, making their way westward. Along the way, Husky steals a staff from Beehive Manor.[6]

After reaching Moss Mountain, Husky decides that he wants to go back to Sailand to see his mother, Lady Marein. He intends to go alone, but Upas's intervention and the other's eavesdropping sees them continuing their journey together. While in Sailand, Husky is captured by slave traders and sold to Lord Hercius in Stella. He finds the situation advantageous and plots to sneak into the palace. Cooro and Nana find him, and together with Senri and Kazana, they sneak into the palace and are able to meet Husky's mother. After Kazana attempts to assassinate the King of Sailand, they are allowed to leave under Lady Crystala's care, and they head back to Astaria.

Husky continues to travel with his friends across Astaria, where they eventually arrive at the Astarian National Research Facility where Fly Greena Aight offers him the chance to be rid of his Anima; Husky refuses this offer. After Cooro has his Anima taken and disappears, Husky along with Nana and Senri go searching for him at his birthplace, Lilt. After reuniting they head back to Harden's home where they choose to settle down.
Trivia

Husky's would-be status as heir apparent is unclear.
Keane states in Chapter 44 that Myrrha would be next in line for the throne were he still alive, while in Chapter 45 it is stated the Keane is turning 13 and that he as the eldest prince will become king. Husky is only 11 at the time.

In Crossover Chaos, Husky is called Diamond, and is part of the villainous organization, the Stack. He is older then canon, approximately mid 20s to early 30s. He still has his fish +Anima for unknown reasons. He is the often forgotten member of the group, as he is not of much use to the Stack except for underwater recon missions.

Meanwhile on a nearby ship, Hatty and Candae were exploring through space.

They had been hiding away from the Mo'heads, and, after Hatty felt a strong energy coming from Arda, they were on their way back home, hoping that maybe it had been saved.

"I'm a time traveling explorer! No area is too dangerous for me and my umbrella. My mission is to find all the time pieces so I can go home!"
—Manual Description of Hat Kid

Hat Kid, the main protagonist of A Hat in Time, is a human-like alien attempting to collect the scattered Time Pieces, the fuel for her spaceship, so she can return home. She is also the first playable character, the other being Bow Kid for co-op mode.

Her real name is unknown, as it's never mentioned in-game, and in the instruction manual, she is listed as "Me," due to it being written entirely in first-person. She also handwrites her name in Korean-like symbols when she signs The Snatcher's contracts.

Description
Physical Appearance

In all respects, Hat Kid looks like a small human child. The only possible difference between her alien species and normal humans is the presence of bones in her ponytail when the C.A.W Agents take an X-ray photograph of her. She has brown hair and blue eyes. She wears a big, purple shirt with a bright yellow cape sporting a large zipper, as well as white pants and brown boots. She also wears a variety of hats, her favorite of which is a big, purple top hat with a yellow stripe, also known as the "Kid's Hat".
Personality

Hat Kid is shown to have an energetic and childlike personality. This is mainly shown through the innocent nature of her voice lines and idle animations. She is also shown to be rather mischievous, especially with the Mafia, such as when she knocks Mafia Goons off of ledges in Mafia Town, or when she burned paintings containing the souls of trapped individuals in a fire in order to help a group of Fire Spirits commit suicide in Subcon Forest. Despite this, she is also rather friendly, as shown during Your Contract has Expired in Subcon Forest, when Hat Kid attempts to befriend The Snatcher. She can be shy at times, such as when Mustache Girl asks for her name, or during her idle animation where she stops playing with dolls because she thinks someone might be watching. In contrast, she is very frank and emotive in her diary entries, calling out many people and situations on her adventure as weird or unpleasant.
Abilities

While Hat Kid's move pool is relatively small compared to other platforming games, it is a highly versatile one that allows her to chain together many moves and reach most areas with relative ease and style!
Jumping

By pressing the jump button, Hat Kid will jump into the air. Pressing it again while airborne will perform a second jump. While this is a basic ability in most platformers, jumping and double jumping is the foundation to Hat Kid's impressive platforming skills.
Dive

By pressing the dive button, Hat Kid will dive in the direction she's facing. This briefly increases her speed and can be performed both on the ground and in the air. While diving, Hat Kid can change her direction very slowly. Dives can be canceled simply by jumping, which reverts her back to her walking speed.

Diving in the air will briefly slow Hat Kid's vertical speed and lunge her in the direction she faces, giving her more movement horizontally. Jumping to cancel a midair dive also briefly slows her vertical speed. This allows the player to control Hat Kid in the air on a wider horizontal plane and allows her to land more precisely on targets.

Additionally, if she dives on the ground, she will briefly slide forwards and remain on her belly until the player presses the jump button again. However, if the player presses jump just as Hat Kid hits the ground, she will immediately bounce back up and lunge forward into a front flip, increasing her speed further until she touches the ground. Doing this in rapid succession can outpace the Sprint Hat.
Wall run and jump

Artwork of Hat Kid demonstrating the move.

By jumping towards a wall, Hat Kid will start to run up it, gaining some vertical distance. She can then jump off of it onto a platform or another wall, where she can gain some more height and jump again. If the walls are parallel, this can be repeated to gain as much height as possible. Hat Kid cannot run or jump off the same wall twice in a row. She must jump off of another wall or touch the ground to jump off of that wall again.

If Hat Kid performs a dive and hits a wall, she will bonk her head and fall to the ground. However, if the player has the "No Bonk" badge equipped or cancels the dive before hitting the wall, she will start a wall run instead.
Melee

Press the melee button to perform a melee attack. At the start of the game, Hat Kid will be unarmed, and hitting anything will cause her to hurt her hand and flinch in pain. This also does no damage. Fortunately, during the first act in Mafia Town, Hat Kid will acquire an umbrella as her primary weapon. Hat Kid can string together a maximum of 3 swings with the umbrella at once, with a brief waiting period until she can swing again.
Homing Attack

When airborne above enemies, a button prompt will appear over their heads to let the player know that Hat Kid can perform a homing attack. This allows her to quickly launch herself at the enemy to deal damage and bounce off of them. This is useful for both combat and platforming sections.
Equipment

Hat Kid wearing a variation of the Sprint Hat.
Umbrella

After the first act, Hat Kid will always have her trusty umbrella, which she can whack baddies with. It doesn't do much else, but with certain badges equipped, it becomes a very handy tool.
Hats

The default hat Hat Kid wears can guide her to the nearest timepiece or goal (although it is not always accurate). Throughout the course of her adventure, Hat Kid stitches together other hats which give her several abilities:

Sprint Hat - Allows running quickly,
Time Stop Hat - Slows time down for a limited time,
Brewing Hat - Involves throwing explosive potions,
Ice Hat - Turns her into an icy statue to bounce off ice platforms and stuns enemies (but does no damage), she also gains immunity to few attacks while in the ice. (After blocking damage, there is a longer cooldown)
Dweller Mask - Makes green see-through platforms tangible, and purple patterned surfaces intangible.

Excluding the Sprint Hat, all of these abilities will need time to recharge after being used.
Badges

Hat Kid can find several badges on her quest that give her unique secondary abilities, such as saving herself from a great fall or lowering the recharge time on hat abilities. Most badges can be bought from the aptly named Badge Seller, but there are some special badges that must be found in the various worlds.
Customization

During each act, Hat Kid can collect Rift Tokens. These are used to unlock either new aesthetic designs for her hats, new color pallets for her clothing and certain hats, and new remixes of songs for the different acts. Rift Tokens can be spent at the end of each act that you collect them in, or at the Token Machine in Hat Kid's Spaceship.

Trivia

According to her diary, Hat Kid does not like singing.
Her "smug dance" is a reference to a dance Bob can do from Animal Crossing, with the cat smile to match.
Development info:
Hat Kid's original design was concepted as a doll-like humanoid, with offwhite skin, shorter eyes with a thick outline and a yellow color scheme for her hat and outfit. It was most likely changed to make her look more innocent.
Once an early model of her current design was established, it appeared as if she originally wouldn't have her usual top hat worn.
The next model would feature her closer to the final look, but she has small irises.
The ending of an early beta build featured an adult Hat Kid that, according to lead developer Jonas Kaerlev, was going to play a significant role in the game similar to Adult link in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. However, this was cut from the game in an unknown time later in development. Kaerlev revealed in an interview with the YouTube channel Beta64 that this was due to negative playtester reception, and the team not feeling the idea would work out.
Her name (or nickname) and age are displayed on the license plate of her scooter.

In Crossover Chaos, she is the adopted daughter of Trippz, and is referred to by the name Hatty. She is a gadgeteer genius, and is protective of her younger adopted siblings. She also built mechanical wings for herself, making her be able to fly without actual wings.

A spaceship cut in front of their spaceship, causing them to break to avoid an accident in the middle of space.

The spaceship belonged to a certain Anthy Himemiya, the girlfriend of a certain Rose Duelist that had disappeared almost a decade ago, now.

Why did she cut in front of them?

Didn't she have manners in terms of space traffic?

Or was she in a hurry?

Hatty and Candae had no idea...

Except to follow her ship...

And maybe find some answers.

" In the end, all girls are like the Rose Bride. "

— Anthy Himemiya

Anthy Himemiya (姫宮 アンシー Himemiya Anshī) is a mysterious girl who is said to have no thoughts or desires besides what her current master expects of her. Because of her "doormat" behavior, other characters tend to project their wants or desires onto her and she's always the target of their eventual rage. Her past and current personality are simultaneously tragic and vengeful, but her personality shifts between selfless love, passive-aggressive revenge and learned helplessness. Like Utena Tenjou, Anthy also subverts and conforms to the stereotypes she embodies as both a princess and a witch.

Appearance

Anthy appears to be South Asian, probably from Indian decent. She is noticeably darker than the other characters and wears a bindi mark or jewel.
Anime

As in the later part of the manga, Anthy is in the entirety of the manga depicted in standard Ohtori uniform with her violet hair pinned up around her head, although on occasion (such as in Episode 3 "On the Night of the Ball", at Nanami Kiryuu's party, or Episode 20 "Wakaba Flourishing", while walking past Wakaba Shinohara) she adorns her hair with ribbons or hair clips. When performing her duties as the Rose Bride, Anthy wears a red dress reminiscent of those worn by traditional princesses, albeit with several additions such as military shoulder tassels. Her dress, which is sleeveless, is bordered with a sea green fringe at the edge of the bodice, and includes two separate cuffs worn similarly to bracelets. Moreover, when in her Rose Bride costume, Anthy dons a golden spiked tiara. As in the manga, her hair is extremely thick and wavy when let down, and although it is a darker shade of violet than her brother Akio's. Her eyes are a green similar to the frills on her Rose Bride costume. In the last episode of Utena, "Someday, We'll Shine Together", as Anthy departs from Ohtori in search of Utena, she wears an entirely different outfit than from the rest of the series; her hair is loose and free, under a white beret, she wears a pink travel suit with a white undershirt and matching white mary-janes, and she abandoned her glasses entirely, leaving them on Akio's desk.
Manga

Anthy is originally depicted in the manga as having thick, black hair which is pinned around head resembling a crown. However, as the manga progresses, Anthy's hair is more consistently depicted as black, and her Rose Bride costume, initially white and blue, stabilizes as the red seen in the anime. Her school dress is the standard Ohtori Academy uniform consisting of a white blouse with puffy sleeves and a neck-tie, paired with a sea-green pleated skirt, white ankle socks and loafers. Anthy also wears over-sized circular glasses, which are later revealed to be unneeded entirely. Her hair, when released from its bun, is extremely thick and curly, and is approximately the same shade of violet as her brother Akio's. Her eyes appear to be brown.
Movie

In the film Revolutionary Girl Utena: Adolescence of Utena, aside from her school uniform, Anthy's appearance is radically changed. Anthy's skin tone appears lighter, as well as when Utena and Anthy first meet in the film, Anthy's hair is not only loose, but it is a more medium shade of violet than in the anime and completely straight. Utena's, by contrast, is quite curly. Her school uniform is unchanged from the anime, although her Rose Bride costume is redesigned, and much more similar to Utena's duelist costume than in the anime. Her Rose Bride costume now consists of a form-fitting, floor length dress with a thigh-length slit in the front, and surrounded by a sheer pink over-skirt of sorts. The dress itself is two-tone, with the front and back being white while the sides are both red. Anthy continues to wear the red cuffs and tiara as she did in the series. In a flashback to Anthy's childhood as a 'witch', Anthy is depicted wearing the same large, puffy yellow dress that the Utena was presumed to have worn in the original introduction to the series.
Personality

Anthy initially expresses no personal emotions or thoughts for herself whatsoever, other than her care for Chu-Chu, although this is only an extension of her identity as the Rose Bride. In order to obey her fiancee's wishes, Anthy attempts to limit her visible persona to one of subservient docility. In reality, however, Anthy's true emotions are often dark and at times vengeful, due to the amount of abuse she has been subject to. For this very reason, Anthy holds little hope in humanity and thus refuses to trust others with her feelings until Utena endeavors to destroy the barrier between herself as a duelist and Anthy as the Rose Bride.

She has childlike mannerisms, also possibly as a result of her abuse. She seems to express genuine enjoyment in caring for animals. She also enjoys piano, shaved ice and watching the shopping network.

Throughout the series, Anthy also appears to be loyal and soft-spoken.
Abilities

Anthy appears to house the Sword of Dios within her own body. At the beginning of a duel, she slips into a trance and the sword manifests, protruding from her chest so that her champion may draw it from her. This Sword is said to be a key to reaching the goal of Revolution, and Anthy, in her position as the Rose Bride, is supposed to be the key to obtaining it.

Anthy exhibits other unusual abilities as well, including magically embellishing Utena's uniform before the duel. Because of her symbolic role as a witch, it is hinted that she has the ability to transform others, such as in the "Cowbell of Happiness."
Story
Manga

In the manga, Anthy is hinted to be an ageless goddess. Her relationship with Akio Ohtori is much more consensual in this adaptation, true to common mythological tropes. Her relationship with Utena Tenjou is romantic in nature.
Anime
Student Council Saga

At the beginning of the Student Council Saga, Anthy is engaged to the openly and physically abusive Kyouichi Saionji. In the first episode, Saionji is seen having an argument with Anthy and slaps her. True to her initially demure personality in the anime, she does not resist him. When she is not in class or in her dorm with her pets (especially her monkey friend Chu-Chu), Anthy remains in the greenhouse, tending to the roses. For most of the Council saga, Anthy acts more or less as a puppet, believing that it is her duty as the Rose Bride to obey her "master", the current dueling champion. She displays shock when Utena manages to defeat Saionji, and happily refers to him as "classmate" after his defeat.

After Utena becomes engaged to Anthy, she attempts to get her to make more friends. It works, until Anthy admits that she is only doing as Utena wishes because they are engaged. As the Council Saga progresses, Anthy comes out of her shell more and more.
Black Rose Saga

In the Black Rose Saga, Anthy becomes even more important, as a new group of duelists seeks to kill her and install a terminally ill boy as the Rose Bride. The Black Rose saga also reveals that Anthy's brother Akio is the chairman of the school and that she goes to visit him on weekends. She tells Utena that she keeps her involvement as the Rose Bride a secret from him, and though she begins to take Utena with her on occasion, asks her to keep it from him as well, feeling that he would be displeased with her.

It is implied in the beginning of the Black Rose Saga that there is a darker side to Anthy than has been previously seen, and also that she may have an incestuous relationship with Akio.

Although Anthy is vital to this saga in the respect that someone is trying to kill her, she also takes a backseat in the storyline for much of the saga as Utena is reluctant to use the power of Dios within Anthy to fight the Black Rose duelists for fear they will be harmed. This arc mostly revolves around the side characters and their development.
Akio Ohtori Saga

This saga establishes Akio as an antagonist and manipulator before hitting it in further in the End of the World Saga. The two are arguably one big saga.

This saga presents some changes to Anthy's role as the Rose Bride, since each duelist who challenges Utena now chooses a bride for him or herself. Anthy and the challenger's Bride each play much more supporting roles to their respective duelists. The relationships between each duelist and his or her Bride play a major part in whether or not the duelist wins.

It is also revealed that Akio has been sexually assaulting Anthy. This is discovered by Nanami Kiryuu, who victim blames Anthy, but keeps it secret.
End of the World Saga

The End of the World Saga is the final Saga in Revolutionary Girl Utena. A rift begins to grow between Anthy and Utena, as both have things they need to confess but can't seem to speak them out loud. Utena refuses to admit that she has witnessed Anthy and Akio's incest, deepening the distance. While maintaining her innocent appearance to the end and promising Utena that they will remain friends forever, Anthy hides her own suicidal tendencies and self-hatred. She jokes about poisoning Utena, showing her belief that she is a toxic figure to Utena's life. Utena trusts Anthy fully and jokes that she too poisoned Anthy.

Anthy is continuously sexually assaulted by Akio. She appears in Utena's dreams to be a cursed witch who a young Utena vowed to save. She begins to experience pain on the way to Utena's future duels, due to the immense guilt she feels for manipulating the duelists which prompts her to almost commit suicide, only to be saved by Utena. Anthy becomes ill as the final duel approaches, leading Akio to show Utena an illusion of Anthy's "true" form as a witch. Utena tries to protect Anthy from him, believing that it isn't true. In the penultimate episode Anthy, who has been manipulated into believing she doesn't deserve to be free betrays Utena, literally stabbing her in the back.

In the final episode, Anthy falsely claims that although Utena reminds her of Prince Dios when she loved him, Utena is a girl and thus incapable of ever being her prince. Still, she hesitates to give the sword to End of the World. Akio notes that she must feel guilty for hurting her friend and claims to feel Anthy's pain and love her. Calling Utena stubborn and reckless, Anthy leaves her and is then pierced by a million swords in place of Dios/Akio. Utena continues fighting for Anthy, until a coffin containing Anthy's true self appears. Tears falling down her face, Anthy tries to take Utena's hand and appears to fall to her death. In the end, Anthy walks down a hall unharmed as people talk about Utena. In the chairman's office, Akio tells Anthy he's restarted the rules of the Rose Crest. She takes off her glasses and tells him she's leaving to find Utena. In a voice-over, she swears to find Utena, telling her to wait for her. Whether or not Anthy ever finds Utena is left ambiguous. After the ending credits, a photograph of Utena and Anthy together is shown with Akio cropped out. In a voice-over, we hear a conversation between Anthy and Utena. At the end of the conversation, the title card reading "And Someday, Together, We'll Shine appears on the screen. The final image of the series is a close up of Anthy and Utena's clasped hands from the photo.
Movie

Anthy is first seen in the movie while tending to her roses when Utena mistakenly happens upon the garden. She easily opens up to Utena, telling her that the chairman is her brother, and that this allows her special perks at the academy, including being one of the few allowed into the rose gardens. Anthy is clearly aware of the duels and what Utena's ring means, whereas Utena herself is oblivious. Anthy also has a tendency to assume that Utena is more aware about the duels than she actually is, and expresses shock when she learns that Utena is totally unaware of how the duels work.

Anthy appears to show a disinterest in the duel between Utena and Saionji as she spends most of it with her back turned to the duelists. Only when she hears Utena defending her does she turn and begin to watch. When Saionji pushes Utena off of the edge of the arena, it is Anthy who jumps to her rescue, kissing Utena and allowing her the use of the sword of Dios.

After Saionji's loss, Anthy shows up in Utena's dorm room. Utena offers for her to stay the night, which Anthy gladly accepts. The two discuss the nature of the duels before Anthy makes romantic and sexual advances towards Utena. Her advances are shot down and her persistence angers Utena, who jumps up from her bed and turns the lights back on.

It is also of note that Anthy either takes a back seat or vanishes with no explanation at all when not with Utena or Akio in part of the storyline, and she is never seen close to any male characters except her brother, Touga and Saionji (though the latter is by force, not choice).
Notable Relationships
Utena Tenjou

Utena is a middle school girl with whom Anthy develops a friendship and blossoming relationship after she is saved from her abusive "master" Kyouichi Saionji. Over the course of the anime, Utena becomes Anthy's friend. She strives to become Anthy's prince, and later sacrifices herself so Anthy can be free from her curse as the Rose Bride.

As Anthy gets closer to Utena, Anthy becomes more outgoing and she even made friends with some of Utena's friends. It is her relationship with Utena that gives her the strength to leave Ohtori Academy at the conclusion of the anime, as she wishes to find Utena, though it is never revealed if they are reunited.
Akio Ohtori

Akio is the interim chairman of Ohtori Academy and the older brother of Anthy. At first, Anthy appears to simply be Akio's loving and proud sister. However, her relationship with him is much more complex as Akio is controlling, manipulative and abusive towards Anthy. Later in the anime, it is revealed that Anthy's selfless love for her brother has been exploited by him in order to keep himself in power. The two are in a incestuous relationship, highly insinuated to be forced onto Anthy by Akio. Anthy's feelings for him cycle between resentment and sisterly love, as she struggles to break free. Akio loses her to Utena in the end when Utena Tenjou frees Anthy, granting her the strength to refuse when he wishes to begin the duels anew. His abuse was what led to the creation of Anthy's identity as the Rose Bride.
Chu-Chu

Chu- Chu is Anthy's pet monkey. For a time, he is also her only real friend and her seemingly favorite pet as he is almost always with her. For a pet, Chu Chu is extremely protective of Anthy, disliking Kyouichi Saionji and instantly taking a liking to Utena Tenjou when he learns she wants to free Anthy from the duties of the Rose Bride.
Trivia

The name Anthy means "bloom" in Greek.
Anthy is the variant form of Anthe.
Anthy's surname Himemiya means "princess" (姫) (hime) and "temple, shrine, palace" (宮) (miya), which means "princess temple".

Hatty and Candae decided to follow, hoping to at least see what's going on.

Anthy had motives, but they weren't bad motives.

Not long after the Paragons had revived and had killed all the Mo'heads, she had entrusted their help into finding her lover, the Rose Duelist, Utena...

She had not seen Utena in years, and was wondering if she was okay... or if she was dead...

The Paragons, tired from their battle, and were rebuilding Arda...

Decided to agree...

To keep their minds off the damage the Mo'heads had given their home planet.

And Trippz helped out as she wondered if her kids were safe.

So, the Paragons go off into space to find Anthy's lover Utena, alongside Trippz and her children.

However, on the way there, their spaceships almost crashed into an old rustbucket of a spaceship, causing Socks to get roused out of his exhaustion-based sleep.

"Yo- HEY! What the-?!" He shouted, not very pleased to be roused out of his sleep.

Mae was cuddling with her husband, when their ship halted violently.

She marched out of their ship.

"Hey! What the heck?!" She shouted, clearly frustrated with this situation.

Ron couldn't get himself out of the bed, as he was utterly exhausted.

He leaned his head back, and moanwhined really loudly instead.

Mae is a cat with dark blue fur and dyed red hair on the top of her hair, which has since faded into a dark red. She has large red eyes. Her right ear is also notched from a dog attack, and Mae can be seen flicking this ear frequently throughout the game while idle.

Her attire consists of an orange shirt with long red sleeves, with a slashed zero design in the center. Mae also has dark grey jeans and wears boots that are described as "cheap green-ish knock-off Doc Martens". [1]

Mae is noticeably shorter than others in Possum Springs and considers herself to be overweight. Her grandfather called her "sturdy," an assessment that Mae ultimately agrees with, and worries that her style of clothing accentuates her "roundness".
Personality

Mae Borowski has a troubled past, primarily with depression and anger issues. She was instructed to "repress" these issues by Dr. Hank. Her emotional turmoil is later revealed to be a byproduct of a dissociative disorder. She can be seen as a disrespectful person, even referring to herself as "a jerk". As the game progresses, her more compassionate side is revealed. One example of this is when she comforting others, especially her friends, during emotional moments. She seems to worry about Bruce and appears to genuinely care for her "rat babies" once she discovers them, even stealing pretzels from the pierogi stand in order to feed them. She greatly loves and cares for her friends, and isn't afraid to express this. Mae is rather nostalgic and often reminisces about Possum Springs as it was when she left for college. During the game, she is often reflecting on how much the town has changed since her absence. In addition, Mae is known to be energetic and agile, enjoying to climb things whenever possible. Her close friends and family (and the police) reference her habits of climbing electrical poles, tightrope walking on the power lines, and general running around and jumping.
Background
Mae in
Mae was born in either 1996 or 1997, being age 20 in the year 2017. She is the only child of Candy and Stan Borowski, whose families worked the coal mines in Possum Springs for multiple generations. Since the mine closed the two parents worked and saved money to enable Mae to be the first member of the family to attend college. Mae went for three semesters but eventually dropped out due to her dissociative disorder and moved back into her parents' attic in Night in the Woods.

Mae has always been a bit troubled: dissociation, depression, no direction and recently, a connection with what she believes to be paranormal activity in the town. When she was in high school her dissociation caused an incident, leaving her with a poor reputation in Possum Springs. She had no idea how to cope with these feelings, but after returning to Possum Springs, she begins to notice something suspicious going on in town, a trail of clues leading up

Young Mae as seen in one of the Night In The Woods supplemental games "Lost Constellation"

In Lost Constellation Mae is shown to be younger and asked her grandfather about robbing a bank at a young age, but they then enter into a conversation about jail, where Mae asks her grandfather to tell her a ghost story. This then leads to the main storyline of the game, with Mae interrupting the story to comment on certain portions of the story.
Friends

Gregg - Gregg is Mae's best friend from high school. The two were well known for being troublemakers around town, and often committed acts that they vaguely refer to as "crimes". Gregg seems to have calmed since high school, but is re-inspired to do similar things to what they did when they were younger when Mae returns, a fact addressed in the game by Angus.
Bea - Bea was Mae's former best friend from 7th grade and the grades before, but eventually grew apart. They were once in Scouts together. They stopped hanging out when they were in seventh grade, though they have varying opinions on the reason why. Mae refers to it as "having a big fight when they were twelve," though Bea just sees it as Mae finding herself too cool to be seen with Bea. She says that Mae had just stopped sitting with her at lunch and hadn't returned any of her calls all of the sudden, and was always with Gregg instead of her. Near the beginning of the game, Bea resents Mae, due to Mae wasting her opportunity to go college by dropping out, while Bea was unable to even go to college, due to family circumstances. They've have made up with each other, however, and appear to have reformed their bond from their childhood via the events of the game.
Casey Hartley - Another one of Mae's close friends who, shortly prior to the events of the game, disappears without a trace, a fact later discovered to be due to the cultists which are the game's main antagonists. Casey played drums in the band before going missing, later to be replaced by Bea, and did "crimes" with Gregg and Mae.
Angus - Mae wasn't originally close to Angus and was initially acquainted with him through Gregg, as he is Gregg's boyfriend. Throughout the game, however, Mae and Angus become close friends, Angus even sharing very personal details of his childhood with Mae. They also play in the same band together.
Selmers - Mae's neighbour and friend. Selmers likes to bounce her ideas for poems off of Mae, and believes herself to be a better poet because of Mae's willingness to listen.
Mr. Chazokov - At the beginning of the game, Mae states that while she enjoyed the constellations in Mr. Chazokov's class, she didn't enjoy school in general. Throughout the game, Mae can view constellations, or "dusk stars", through his telescope on Selmers' roof every two days.
Lori Meyers - Lori becomes close to Mae, if she visits the roof where Lori hangs out in Towne Centre. Lori will take Mae to visit the tracks a couple times to hang out, and Mae comforts her through her lack of self-worth.
Germ - Germ and Mae also become very close friends if they hang out with each other. Germ seems to understand Mae and the problems she goes through. Mae sometimes doesn't understand Germ or his family but she tends to get along with him and finds him rather interesting and peculiar. Mae even visits his home and family, something not even Gregg has done.
Cole - Cole was Mae's high school boyfriend but have broken up since then.

Family

Mae's parents and her Aunt Molly are central characters in Night in the Woods. Her Granddad passes away before the events of the game, thus never making an appearance in the actual game and is only known through characters mentioning him or through supplemental games.

Candy Borowski - Mae's kind and caring mother. She has maintained a good relationship with her daughter despite Mae having been away from Possum Springs. She and Mae have an argument about Mae having left college despite the family making extensive plans for it. It is implied through this argument that she and Mae's father put a lot of pressure on Mae that she had to succeed.
Stan Borowski - Mae's friendly but forgetful father. He forgets which day Mae is expected to arrive at Possum Springs and doesn't go to the bus station to pick her up, which Mae expresses annoyance for, but they both agree to pretend that Stan remembered the correct day of her arrival.
Aunt Molly - Nicknamed "Aunt Mall Cop", she is strict and professional despite being a policewoman in a small town. She first meets Mae at the closed-down playground where Molly picks her up, threatens to arrest her, then takes her home. She and Mae are generally amicable, but Mae is slightly angry at her for not believing her throughout the game.
Mae's Grandfather - Mae and her Granddad had a very close relationship. He would tell her ghost stories when she was little to help her fall asleep. After his death, Mae remembers him in a positive light, fondly reminiscing over the apple crate of horror books he left her.
Anselm Borowski - Mae's ancestor who died in a war. Listed on the memorial statue in town, the name Anselm can be derived from "ans" for god and "helm" for helmet/protection.

Trivia

Mae hates beer, and only got drunk during the party in the beginning of the game because she was nervous.

Mae has been canonically confirmed as being pansexual by Scott Benson's Curious Cat page,[2]

Mae is canonically a virgin, regardless of whether the player picks "yes" or "no" when asked about it.
According to Longest Night, her sign is Mundy.

Mae plays the bass guitar in a band with her friends, who make her play even though she doesn't know the band's songs (due to being out of town at college). However, if the player "plays" the songs perfectly, Gregg and Bea comment on her skill, and she replies simply, "All in a day's work."
Mae cannot drive and doesn't own a driver's license.
Before the Build #118 update, Mae appeared to have three shoes upon waking up in her room.
She claims that eyes have evolved to notice movement, like dinosaurs. So if she were to stop moving while shoplifting, employees will not notice her commiting the crime. Her ability to avoid detection by being motionless is not shared by Bea.
Mae has little knowledge of whales, not knowing that whales are not fish.[2]
During the time she spent in college, Bea was said to have done Mae's bass parts on her computer. Bea states, "I understood them as bass parts," before she says that she will turn them off.
Mae had attempted to take a paleontology class on dinosaurs, but the class was full. She explains that this is a popular class that fills up fast.
Mae's grunts can be heard when she is about to sleep or if she jumps three times. This voice was provided by the game's sound designer, Em Halberstadt.
Mae is allergic to cigarettes.

In Crossover Chaos, Mae is married to Ron Alexander (IDW Ghostbusters) and lives off-grid on the planet Avalon with him. She generally has the same attitude and personality as her canonical self, and actually married Ron and moved to his off-grid community due to her disapproval of the law, which she and Ron both share in the story.

RON ALEXANDER

Original Series: Ghostbusters (IDW)

Ron Alexander
Occupation:
Founder of Ghost Smashers
Chicago Ghostbuster

Ronald Tyson Alexander[1], also known as Ron Alexander[2], is a scheming New Yorker who wanted to get into the Ghostbusting business one way or another. He later founded and led the Ghost Smashers. Then he got arrested... but became one of the New Ghostbusters... then joined the Chicago Ghostbusters.
History

Ron Alexander was born in Northampton, Massachusetts on June 12th. Eventually, he moved to New York and lived on 231 Lindon Boulevard in Brooklyn. Ron did earn a Bachelor's Degree in Arts and Sciences. He began a Doctoral in Engineering but never completed it.[3] He served three years at J.C.C. on charges of destruction of public property, theft, and resisting arrest.[4] Ron Alexander once applied to the Ghostbusters when they began advertising for franchises. However, he was rejected on account the application outline and required level of experience in associated disciplines did not meet with mandatory criteria to utilize or correctly maintain facilities and equipment necessary to paranormal investigations and eliminations. Ron was noted to have potential and advised to pursue further studies.[5]

Ron still felt the Ghostbusters lacked the manpower to be everywhere and shouldn't have a monopoly on city contracts. While lacking the technical genius of Egon Spengler and Ray Stantz, he planned to procure schematics, copy the equipment, and make some improvements. Ron would then go into business for himself and muscle out the Ghostbusters even. Around the same time the Ghostbusters arrived at Fantastic Land, Ron met with a man named Harry in a Manhattan diner. Harry slipped Ron an envelope containing schematics of various Ghostbusters equipment and declared this favor made them even. In mid-June, Ron began testing a working prototype Proton Pack on dummies with explosive results. Towards the end of summer, Ron founded the Ghost Smashers and hired Jenny Moran, Dani Shpak, and Lou Kamaka. He believed recruiting Dani would secure him more funding for the operation because she was locally famous as a nationally ranked archer. He wasn't wrong.[6] While he was putting together an ad campaign, Ron heard about Lou and an incident that took place years ago involving Psychomagnotheric Slime and her punching a ghost. He met with Lou as potential model for the ads but wound up hiring her instead.[7] Ron debuted his team at the Lincoln Center when the Phantom of the Opera manifested at the Metropolitan Opera House. After atomizing the Phantom, the team waited around and "greeted" Ray and Egon before departing.

In the fall, Ron was at a loss when the equipment failed against the Goast entity. He wasn't pleased when Peter Venkman and Ray saved the Ghost Smashers. When Ray tried to play nice and talk shop, Ron responded by shoving Ray to the ground and threatening to slap a restraining order on the Ghostbusters. However, in November, Ron and his Ghost Smashers were forced to work with the Ghostbusters to defeat the Megaspook. Ron soon rubbed Egon the wrong way and got choked during a helicopter flight. After the Megaspook was dispersed by Death, Peter back handed Ron in the head and asked him to say "Hi" to the District Attorney for him. Ron was arrested and charged with several felonies. On November 21, he was processed. On December 20, he was sentenced and sent to serve time in a minimum security prison on Riker's Island. He had a great lawyer. As a Christmas present for Peter, Winston had a New York Today article about Ron's arrest framed.

Months later, Walter Peck decided it was for the greater good to place Ron on Janine Melnitz's New Ghostbusters team because he was the only person left who had experience working with the Ghostbusters' technology and could thus, perform required maintenance. Peck went ahead and requested Ron's sentence to be commuted. Ron arrived at the Firehouse eager to see the lab. Jack Hardemeyer introduced himself and guided Ron to the photo shoot. The shoot was interrupted by a jogger reporting a crazy ghost in Central Park. Ron didn't waste much time insulting teammates but Janine countered her team weren't the same bimbos he worked with before. Once the team caught sight of Gareth Dibello, Ron recklessly opened fire and barely missed hitting the ghost's intended victim. Special Agent Melanie Ortiz berated Ron and punched to the ground. Ron admitted he was now crystal on civilian safety.

On Jack's behest, Ron outfitted Janine with something flashy for her impending midnight showdown with the Grendel. He chose the Compact Pack he recently upgraded to be able to fire both Proton Streams and Boson Darts. The pack became crucial in trapping the Grendel. When the Ghostbusters returned, they weren't pleased to see Ron out of prison and in ghostbusting gear. Somehow, Ron remained a Ghostbuster but was sent to the Chicago Ghostbusters to work for the Rookie and aid him as a technician. Ron began to disrespect his new boss in front of clients, take all the credit, and leave him to do the hard work while he flirted with women. While on a case, Ron tracked a Red Blob to the 13th floor but was swallowed whole. All the while, Rookie went on a verbal tirade about his feelings over the radio.

In September, Rookie and Ron made a celebrity appearance to a class at Nevermore Elementary School. The children quickly realized they weren't the real Ghostbusters. Ron stepped in gruffly demanded some appreciation for their visit. After accepting a Chomp Bar, Ron opened the floor to a question and answer session. A boy named Nigel asked if the Bogeyman was real. After the classroom erupted in laughter, Ron silenced them by replying he was real. Ron told a tale about the Bogeyman his grandmother used to tell him. Once a student named Jason concluded they were full of it and commented Ron's hair looked like a toilet brush, Ron lost it and threw chairs at him. The Chicago Ghostbusters were escorted off school premises. Ron insisted Jason was asking for it and hoped a Bogeyman went after him.

While on a consultation at the Field Museum of Natural History, Ron couldn't help but point out the stupidity and recklessness of putting out another World of Gozer exhibit after what happened in 1991 in New York City. Rookie and Ron's conversation with the exhibit's curator, Ilyssa Selwyn was interrupted by the arrival of The Ghost and The Darkness. The entity pounced on Ron. To Ron's dismay, Rookie left with Selwyn to track down other readings. Ron used the situation to test his new Boson Caster attachment at close range. He managed to blast one of the heads off. While gloating, Ron watched as another head manifested. After Rookie destroyed a Gozerian artifact, he returned to the exhibit with Selwyn and found Ron with a bloodied lion skin. Ron handed it over to Selwyn and mused she could sew it up. Rookie was quick to warn Ron but Selwyn was undeterred as her contract with the museum protected her from being held responsible for damages caused by anything supernatural.

Ron was part of the team that filled in for the Ghostbusters during the wedding of Winston Zeddemore and Tiyah Clarke. During the ceremony, the team responded to a call from Bates CPA, PC. Ron was none too pleased to be at another bust after a long night of jobs. For the amount of work the team was doing, Ron hoped Winston wouldn't get divorced right away. As the team checked the accounting firm, Ron wasn't too pleased to see Melanie giving the orders instead of Rookie, who was the most senior of the four. While he and Melanie searched for the ghost, Ron noticed the signal on his P.K.E. Meter was flickering in and out. Suddenly, the ghost shoved Ron hard. Melanie thought it was a possible concussion and had him stay down while she swept the floor one more time. After the case concluded, Rookie tried to help Ron into Ecto-1b but he insisted he wasn't an infant.

During the first encounter with Tiamat, Ron was surprisingly 'bad luck' for the team. When everyone fired upon Tiamat, Ron exclaimed "Get her!" to which she knocked everyone backwards. Then after the Ghostbusters crossed the streams on Tiamat and seemingly destroyed her, Ron declared everything was taken care of. Blood Rain showered down on everyone. A couple weeks later, Ron was among those who joined the Ghostbusters in confronting Vigo on Hart Island. When Ray put in a request for extra help, Ron suggested bringing in Jenny, Dani, and Lou. Even Peter admitted it wasn't the worst idea he thought of. During the battle, Vigo grabbed Ron by the collar and reveled in his impending death. With Ray still in a trance state, Ron took matters into his own hands. He had the Boson Caster shoot Vigo at point blank range. Vigo threw him and Ron made a rough landing on Rookie. After Winston liberated the Hart Island Ghosts, even Ron admitted it was quite a sight seeing the ghosts swarm Vigo. After the Hart Island battle, the Chicago Ghostbusters were called back to Chicago to deal with the ghosts of slaughtered cows from the stockyards of decades past who were running through the Magnificent Mile and goring the tourists. Ron's former employees, Dani and Lou were hired and added to the team to help deal with the outbreak. On October 30, Ron Lou, and Dani were contracted by Melanie for a case on Highway 287 to catch Edward Quinn and Ghost Buffalo.

While on vacation, Ron returned to New York City. He heard a rumor the Ghostbusters had some new technology and he used the Chicago franchise agreement as an excuse to check it out.[8] He found Ray in the Firehouse basement with the Interspatial Teleportation Unit. Ray ran off to answer the phone and ordered Ron not to touch anything. Ron stuck his head through the portal and saw eight multi-eyed and multi-armed ghosts chanting "Doom!" Ron went back to his Ghost Smashers equipment and supposedly fixed the flaw in his design. Believing it wouldn't cause the same problem as before, he added the atomizing stream option to his Boson Caster and to the Chicago Ghostbusters' throwers. Ron and the rest of the Chicago Ghostbusters went with Kylie to Japan to search for the Map to Nikulausson's Tomb. He was irritated to learn his GPS device didn't work in the Aokigahara Forest like their guide said. He suddenly fired his caster into the forest and claimed to have seen something. Soon, Yurei appeared around them. Ron ordered Dani and Lou to switch over to the atomizing stream. They provided a distraction while Kylie, Rookie, and the guide went for the map.

While at the Chicago Ghostbusters Headquarters, Ron greeted a prospective customer, a supervisor from The Trask Hotel. Ron asked Kim to get him some coffee but she had 13 302 forms to file. They stared at each other then Ron poured some coffee. Ron informed the supervisor they were running a hometown pride special that month on ghosts that looked like a cow, bear, or sock. The supervisor was at a loss for words then asked if they were like the New York Ghostbusters and could actually handle ghosts. Ron confirmed they could handle anything for the right price, except a trip to Gary, Indiana. The team headed to the Trask. After the manager asked which one of them was Egon, Ron asked what the problem was. After asking if they knew about the Woman in Blue, the manager asked them to catch a second ghost that recently started appearing. Ron didn't care about trapping the wrong one or not. If they did, he was planning on charging a 40% return fee.

Unable to find the ghost, Ron checked in with Rookie and Dani over comms. They, too, didn't find any ghosts. Forgetting it was an open channel, Dani went on about wanting to brand herself as the "team researcher" since no one else read and Ron was probably illiterate. Ron told Dani to forget it and rejoin them. Ron wasn't in the mood to wait all night and decided to try out his new Ghost Attractant spray he concocted from ectoplasmic residue distilled to its base form and a chemical attractant used by his grandma. Lou hated the smell and reminded him he was a mediocre engineer, not a mediocre biochemist. Whether it was the spray or not, the Killer appeared. It produced knives and charged them. Ron blasted its right arm off with an atomizing stream but it only manifested five more arms. Before it could retaliate, Dani wrangled the Killer then Rookie trapped it. Rookie and Dani hated the spray as well. Ron told them to get used to it but Lou threatened to shoot him and pretend it was accident. The Woman in Blue appeared and tried to thank them but Ron trapper her anyway. He asked the manager how much she was worth to the hotel.

On August 14, Lou was contracted, along with Dani and Ron, by Melanie to work a rapidly escalating situation in Las Vegas. They were tasked with drawing away the hordes of ghosts lured to Vegas by the inciting entity Ethan Kaine. After Kaine was trapped, Ron submitted a secondary report that noted untrapped ghosts faded away but one he described with "crazy hair, and wearing a black and white suit" promised to return in the near future to "shake things up." Ron interrupted Ray and Jenny and suggested putting her into the Containment Unit for safekeeping. Jenny was surprised and asked why he was paying them a visit. Ron joked about her going easy with the cold shoulder because it was bringing down the room temperature and it was bad for the skin then pointed out Ray wasn't wearing any pants and only had a towel on. Jenny became angry and red and went through the wall and cabinets. Ray stated she was still sensitive about her condition then asked why he came. He pointed out Ron wasn't due for another week for proton equipment recertification. Ron insisted he had a life and coming a week early was the most convenient for him. Ray reminded him it was a condition of his pardon and he didn't have a say in it. The alarm sounded off. Since Peter and Winston weren't answering, Ron came along as the fourth with Ray, Egon, and Kylie. Ray joked his presence may also be a curse and Egon was going to look into it. Ron just wanted to get the bust over with, get his paperwork, and leave. He added he wanted to get a look at the schematics for the teleportation unit. Egon refused. Ron took out a badge and claimed the Chicago Ghostbusters has a right for parity with the main branch. Egon asked what the badge was for. Ron explained it was so people knew he was a Ghostbuster when he was out of uniform. Egon noted they never had that problem. Egon stated the Chicago branch had no need for a dimensional portal because they took no part in research, which was what it was almost exclusively used for. Ron claimed he did research. Ray pinched his cheeks and mocked him for thinking what he did was research. Ron called bull and believed they just didn't want to share.

After they arrived at Grand Central Station, Egon stated they explore alternate realities to answer the questions they never knew they had, the kind of research they got into parapsychology for. Ray added they didn't want to share with Ron. Ron vowed the conversation wasn't over. Kylie initiated PCOC and they city's evacuation protocol, Code Dan, and cleared the station. Ron was surprised to see the station empty. Kylie explained but Ron reckoned Chicagoans wouldn't comply and probably couldn't spell "evacuate" either. Kylie remarked he was classy and they must love him. Connla recognized Egon and Ray from a previous encounter in City Water Tunnel No. 3. He dodged a proton stream and asked them if they were druids. Ray denied it and referred him as "Sammy" since it was believed he was an entity that manifested during Samhain. Ron called him out for mispronouncing the name and pointed out Halloween was still weeks away. Connla confirmed it wasn't his usual time to manifest but the veil to the other side was so thin, he couldn't resist the opportunity to widen it permanently. Then he punched Ron. Ray reckoned he couldn't be that bad. Egon agreed then threw a Proton Grenade. The explosion blew off Connla's head. Some Ectoplasm splashed onto Ron, to his chagrin. Ray clarified he was joking and punching Ron wasn't a metric for goodness. Egon argued it was one for basic sentience. Kylie captured Connla in a stream then Ron trapped him. Connla was insulted from being attacked from behind then entrapped. He escaped the Trap in an enraged state and grabbed Kylie by the throat. He pointed out they tried to trap him without even knowing his real name. Connla's head reformed then it, his eyes, and ribs ignited. Kylie noticed a ring on his right middle finger. With little other choice, Ron dispersed Connla with an atomizing stream. Kylie was enraged and pointed out he was going to reconstitute in a few days, having absorbed a ton of ambient psychokinetic energy in the process. Egon suggested they make the most of the time Ron bought them by coming up with a permanent solution. Ray asked who was going to call Peck about the mess. They noticed Yellow Slime was now all over the station. Kylie quickly excused herself from contention with a "not it."

Ron later went on a bust with Ray and Winston. He used his attractant during and insisted it worked every time. Winston threatened him into never using it around him again. Ray signed off on Ron's recertification but Ron decided to stick around so he could get a cut of the fee for capturing Connla. On Friday, at 3 pm, Ron continued complaining about Egon and Ray's wildly accurate calculations while Winston tried to finish maintenance on Ecto-1. He was naturally working Winston's last nerve. Ron wished Connla would hurry up and rematerialize. The alarm sounded. The Ghostbusters, Kylie, and Ron were transported to Liberty Island by Egon's friend in his helicopter. Ron pointed out even Peter pronounced "Samhain" right. Ron then mocked Ray that his P.K.E. alarm was thankfully more accurate than his math skills. Ray insisted he didn't have all the factors. Ron fired into the mist on the island but Connla's Army began to emerge from it. He ordered Kylie to hurry up and finish off Connla since he didn't want to die on a landmark. Connla was captured but he asked his army to destroy the Ghostbusters then free him. Egon used his Remote Portal Access Band and teleported away. Ron was infuriated and thought Egon ran away. Egon returned with 20 Ghostbusters from alternate dimensions. Ron was even more jealous but Jillian Holtzmann claimed she had first dibs on the technology. Two days later, Holtzmann met with Ron at a Pequod's and agreed to his proposal to team up and build their own teleportation unit. They shook on it and she wanted to get down to what exactly they would need to build one. She assumed coffee was on him and ordered a quad-shot.

Ron still had his key to Jimmy's uncle's apartment and used the space for the construction of his and Holtzmann's Remote Access Teleportation Unit. However, it wasn't exactly like the Ghostbusters' version. Unable to duplicate an autonomous trans-dimensional portal, they essentially built a larger version of a Remote Portal Access Band they stole and piggybacked off the original unit.[9] Holtzmann claimed she even figured out how to make the interdimensional transition smoother and prevent an open portal from attracting ghosts.[10][11] Jimmy was annoyed Ron didn't even give him a head's up he was in town. Ron filled in Jimmy on with a loose version of how the Ghostbusters came to have teleportation technology but Jimmy suspected he stole something and was back to puttering about in his uncle's apartment. Ron introduced Jimmy to Holtzmann. Holtzmann explained she came from beyond. Jimmy was naturally confused. Holtzmann confirmed she was a woman with several degrees, and only two were made up. Ron informed him she was a Ghostbuster from another dimension. Jimmy was aghast she probably had a God complex too. Ron revealed his scheme to open the teleportation unit to tourists and charge a fortune. They proceeded to test their unit. It was a success but they were unaware the Ghostbusters were conducting an experiment observing the inside of the Containment Unit. Ron and Holtzmann's unit piggybacked off the original in the Firehouse basement and thus, activated it as well. Peter deposited a ghost at the same time and inadvertently set off a chain reaction.

Ron and Holtzmann went to Tip-Top for lunch. They ordered and sat at a table outside the cafe. Holtzmann noticed weird readings on the prime universe's P.K.E. Meter and her P.K.E. Meter that weren't ghost-related. Ron could care less but he soon was hailed on the walkie talkie by Jimmy, who alerted him the teleportation unit was acting weird. Ron and Holtzmann bolted and teleported back to the apartment. The waiter returned to an empty table and swore. They watched as their invention generated several portals at once. Holtzmann referred to it as a full nine on the Sanchez Scale. She knew the unit lacked the power to make so many at once and threw a big switch but nothing happened. Ron pulled the plug on the unit and turned it off. He guessed Holtzmann turned off the refrigerator instead then guessed both teleporters were on but insisted they could fix the glitch. Jimmy prayed to God for strength. Ron and Holtzmann were reprimanded, for their part in the explosion, by Egon, Ray, and Winston on the third floor. Holtzmann emphatically apologized but Ron told her to speak for herself. Ray admitted he understood their drive but they stole and reverse-engineered the technology then failed to check if their experiment would be compromised by any number of outside factors. Ron tried to claim he was forced to make matters into his own hands because Ray and Egon were never going to share the dimensional technology and pinned the blame on them. Winston ran up to Ron, grabbed him by the collar, and encouraged him to repeat himself. Holtzmann asked him to stop. Ron sarcastically chimed in. Winston let go and asked if she was going to claim it was all for science. Holtzmann admitted she would have abused the chance to travel the multiverse but revealed her real reason was to find more people she could identify with and make her "family" bigger. Ron asked Winston if he was buying it and if so, claimed that his reason, too. Winston told Ron to shut up.

Ray inspected the Containment Unit console but Egon discovered several major entities were missing from it. Suddenly, the unit opened and Gareth Dibello escaped. Holtzmann ran to a gurney where a sole Proton Pack lay but Dibello lifted the pack and fired it. Dibello manifested and grabbed Holtzmann. Ron recognized him and promised Holtzmann they would avenge her death. The Interspatial Teleportation Unit activated and several miniature portals were generated. Egon thought it was Ron's doing but he feigned innocence and believed their technology had a glitch. Dibello flew into one of the portals with Holtzmann but she became stuck halfway through. Egon and Ray pulled her back into the basement with part of Dibello's arm. Dibello became agitated and charged but the portal closed, leaving him in a parallel dimension. Holtzmann was unaware and kept screaming until Ray informed her Dibello was gone. Egon stopped Ron from finishing his sentence and asked Ray to check the records with him. The missing entities took portals like Dibello did to a parallel dimension. Two days later, teams of Ghostbusters, from both the prime dimension and beyond, gathered at the Warehouse. The Chicago Ghostbusters volunteered to monitor the Containment Unit just in case anymore ghosts escaped while the other teams jumped to other dimensions in search of the missing ghosts.

Ron left monitor duty and joined the recovery mission. A field team consisting of Ray Stantz of Dimension 68-R, Gabriel Sitter of 50-S, Janine Melnitz, Ron Alexander, Patty Tolan of 80-C, and Garrett Miller of 68-E arrived in a parallel dimension. They canvassed a circus. Garrett was possessed by the Hungry Manitou and it generated a Giant Murder Clown construct around themselves for protection while it fed. Ron proposed they use Proton Grenades. Janine objected but Ron pointed out he said they should have left Garrett behind but she said it would be okay. He had no sympathy for Garrett and his cockiness and threw a grenade. The Murder Clown retaliated and fired deadly projectiles that resembled ice cream cones. Patty tackled Ron out of harm's way. Ron declared he was adding her to his will. Patty requested he stop acting like a giant ass and she would call it even. Ray 68-R and Gabriel wondered why he wasn't fired yet. Janine stated they wanted him where they could keep an eye on him and were waiting for memory erasing technology to be perfected by Egon. Ron quipped it never would since Egon kept testing it on himself and they didn't want him selling everything he knew to the highest bidder. Ron was stopped mid-sentence and realized three of the Murder Clown's projectiles had pierced his chest and stomach then he fell to the ground. Ron promised if they made it back home he would sue. Gabriel was sure no major organs were pierced but he needed to get to a hospital as soon as possible.

Janine knew they needed something else to take out the Giant Murder Clown. Ron came to and told Gabriel to cut his Proton Pack off and call the "fat guy" over. Gabriel assumed he was talking about Ray 68-R. At first, he didn't get it but Ron explained the Proton Grenade stunned it but blowing up the Proton Pack would be strong enough to free Garrett. Ray 68-R agreed and congratulated him for saving Garrett's life. Ron could care less, he needed a doctor fast. Ray 68-R threw the pack into the air and ordered everyone to shoot it. The explosion dispersed the Giant Murder Clown and freed Garrett. After the Manitou was trapped, Janine reckoned they should find Garrett's wheelchair and probably take Ron to a hospital. Before Ron could react, Patty warned they would leave him stranded if he said another word. They opened a portal home but only Ron returned to the prime dimension. Ron fell through back into the Warehouse and Egon Spengler of Dimension 68-E realized he was injured. Mike the Golem kicked himself for jinxing victory and examined Ron. He didn't think the wounds were too deep but they were still in danger of getting infected. Egon 68-E concurred and was about to call for an ambulance but Cait Banner volunteered to do it. Egon reworked his subliminal messaging code to prevent Holtzmann and Ron from remembering the specifications of the Interspatial Teleportation Unit. Whenever they tried to remember, the Chicken Dance played in their head. Egon showed it first to Holtzmann under the guise of asking for her thoughts on some old research. Once it proved successful on her, Egon showed it to Ron later on.

On December 1, Ron and Lou provided back up for Melanie at the Fairlawn Mansion after the Skinless Man moved it six miles from Superior, Wisconsin to Duluth, Minnesota. Once they found the Skinless Man in the middle of strangling the Servant Girl Ghost, Ron started insulting him until it changed its focus. He moved quickly and attacked Ron, attempting to strangle him to death. Ron was able to open his Trap and captured the Skinless Man.
Personality

Ron Alexander is a jerk. He also does not appear to be trustworthy and isn't above mooching off his friend, Jimmy. In one instance, he did show concern for his team mates, tackling Egon Spengler and Melanie Ortiz out of the way when the Collector that took on Egon's appearance blasted at them.

In Crossover Chaos, Ron is the husband of Mae, and is a Grendel, more specifically of the Avalonian breed. He is considerably nicer then canon (and the story states this is not a common trait among Rons of the Exoverse), and lives off-grid in an off-grid community on the planet Avalon.

He and Mae share distrust of the law, and that is why they are currently in a relationship together. Ron also likes making unusual coffees in the CC-Verse (bulletproof is often talked about, considered his favourite in the story).

He is often either exhausted or bedbound in recent installments of the story, as he seems to have developed an illness relating to the air of the Void Between Universes, so Mae often has to take care of him later in the story.

Socks marched into the rustbucket of the ship in front of them, and frowned.

"...Werecrow, werebear and a werebat... Just what we need these days, huh?"

The 'werebat' looked at Socks, looked at him up and down...

And then cried, because she was intimidated by the technically still young Grendel.

"Nonono!" Socks shouted, shaking his hands in a panic.

"I don't mean any harm, honest!"

Nana is a little ashamed of her bat Anima, thinking it uncouth, and wishing she had a different one. This however doesn't stop her from using it and even being thankful for it.

Nana's favorite food is freshly baked bread; to her it symbolizes being safe at home, since it is not something she can make while travelling. She also enjoys vegetable soup. [3]

History

Spoiler Warning: Plot and/or ending details follow

Nana grew up in a small house near a wooded area with her mother and father. After a harvest returned low yields her father returned home drunk. He was easily aggravated and started to assault her mother. Nana tried to stop him, but having been holding scissors she accidentally stabbed him. Her father chased her out of the house with a cleaver and into the adjacent woods. There, in fear for her life, Nana received her Anima and was able to escape into the night.

She went travelling by herself and wound up in the town of Octopus. She joined up with a local gang of orphan girls and stayed with them for a while, but believing herself to not be well liked she left to live by herself. Nana survived by using her Anima to steal from people.
Plot

Spoiler Warning: Plot and/or ending details follow

In the tunnels of Octopus, Nana uses her ultrasonic screech on Husky and steals his pearls. After being accused of the theft, she denies it. A fight over the pearls ensues, and ends with the pearls being lost in the darkness of the tunnels. After a prompt from Delly, Nana follows Cooro, Husky and Senri, and asks to join them. Husky is against this and even chooses to leave by himself, however Nana convinces him to stay and they all start travelling together.

The four travel to various locations across Astaria before arriving in Maggie Vil where the daughter of the ruler, Magdala, takes a liking to Nana and offers the chance to stay there with her. Nana contemplates what kind of life she wants, and ultimately chooses to leave with her fellow +Anima.

She continues to travel with Cooro, Husky and Senri, making their way west. They reach Moss Mountain where Nana helps Senri to overcome his mad Anima, and continue to Sailand where Nana helps Husky to meet his mother. Afterwards they return to Astaria.

After some more travelling, they are taken to the Astarian National Research Facility by Fly Greena Aight who offers Nana the chance to be rid of her Anima and to have a normal life. Nana initially intends to go through with it, but backs out at the last moment. When Cooro disappears after giving up his Anima, Nana searches for him with the help of Husky and Senri. The four reunite and choose to settle down and live with Harden and Margaret.
Tools and Items

Some of Nana's items include her hat, and then she has the necklace Husky and Senri made for her which she wears around her neck. In her shoulder bag, she has a sewing kit complete with scissors, needles and thread, and also her wallet and the rose corsage she got from Rose in Volume 2.
Trivia

Natsumi Mukai stated that she gave Nana many outfits because she enjoys drawing girl's clothing.
Nana is the only protagonist to be given a family name (Alba).
It is only mentioned once, in Chapter 5.

In Crossover Chaos, Nana is older then canon, around mid 20s to early 30s. She has been exploring the Exoverse for a while with Cooro and Senri, trying to find Husky and bring him back to their home planet of Astaria.

She is still a crybaby, even at her older age, and never seemed to really grow out of that.

Near the commotion, in Elaine's ship, the GSS Michael Lindsay...

Elaine's ship, the GSS Michael Lindsay, was stopped in the middle of the space traffic jam, and watched the scene through her front window.

Izzy was cuddled up to her, as Elaine patted her head with her large, hairy Grendel hand.

"Y'know, Izz?" Elaine asked Izzy, as Izzy perked up.

"What?" Izzy asked, perking up her head in confusion.

Elaine paused, her face stonehard like a rock, as her glasses fogged up.

She was crying, but it wasn't too visible unless Izzy really counted the tears and the fogged up glasses.

Elaine's voice sounded choked up.

"Izzy, I wish I was happy."

Back at the front of the commotion, with Socks...

Socks was dodging the 'werebear''s attempts at blows, as he pulled out Hexagonus to protect himself.

"Woah! Woah woah woah! I'm a Paragon! I'm a friend!"

The 'werebear' paused.

And then looked at Socks with no expression showing on his face.

"Grendel." He said, his right eyebrow twitching slightly.

Socks lowered Hexagonus, and then raised an eyebrow in response.

"...Yeah, I am one?"

"Oh boy..." Mae sighed, before continuing.

"Let me guess; species rivalry?" She asked.

Socks mouthed "Rivalry?" to the 'werebear'.

The 'werebear' shook his head.

"You are big."

Socks frowned.

"So I'm intimidating?"

The 'werebear' nodded, and then pointed at the 'werebat'.

"You made her cry."

Socks stopped, slackjawed.

"...You attacked me because I made your friend cry?"

The 'werebear' nodded.

"Apologize."

Senri the oldest and quietest member of the main characters. He is a Kim-un-kur, and a bear +Anima who can transform his right arm into a bear's paw. He suffers from short-term memory loss, and carries around a book with pressed flowers inside to help him with his memory.

Appearance

This is Senri and his +Anima mark is to the right

Senri has gray hair accessorized with turquoise[2] blue[3] beads, which are a mark of his tribe.[2][3] He also has gray eyes, of which he covers his left with a black leather sash, functioning as an eyepatch.

He wears a brown tunic under a short brown poncho, brown leggings with leather greaves, and a silver earring. Briefly he had a green scarf which was made for him by Nana, but it was destroyed.

He carries a woodman's hatchet, and a waist pouch in which he keeps his essential tools such as flint, salt and a small knife, as well as his book.[2]

In his Anima form his right arm transforms into that of a bear, with gray fur matching his hair. Under the influence of Amurui, when enraged he can also transform his left arm, and he gains fangs; when he was young his face also became more bear-shaped.[4][5]
Personality

Senri is a quiet person, never speaking many words. He is usually calm and attentive however when provoked he is quick to become aggressive and violent, although this is usually due to the influence of Amurui. Wearing his eyepatch helps to suppress his violent tendencies.[5][6]

He has a soft spot for children, going out of his way to protect them, shown by his attempted rescue of Pinion at the Maggie Vil Coliseum and him helping Penelope Giesrieg flee from some soldiers in Sandra.

Senri likes sweet food, with his favorite being honeycomb. He is the type to eat slowly to savor the flavor of anything he eats.[7]
History

Spoiler Warning: Plot and/or ending details follow

Senri was born to the Tooa Tribe on the western side of Moss Mountain. One day on a hunting trip when Senri was eight years old, Senri was attacked by the mad bear Anima, Amurui. Senri's father, Riiya, stepped in to protect him and succeeded in killing the bear, but became infected by the mad Anima and then turned on Senri. Riiya transferred his own Anima into Senri who used it to kill him; however in doing so he unwittingly spread the mad Anima to Senri.

Young Senri

Some time later, the Tooa Tribe was attacked by Sailand and Senri was as a slave. Lady Crystala bought him for the unually low asking price of 490 Gillah. She quickly found out that Senri had developed a memory problem, but she persisted in helping him and gave him a book to press flowers into in hopes that this would help with his memory. Over time she discovered he could remember repetitive physical actions which help to find him a place as her caravan's assistant cook.

During a tip to Astaria, the caravan was attacked by bandits. Senri lost control of his Anima and ended up killing one of them. The brother of the bandit returned for revenge. He lassoed Senri and dragged him away from the caravan, but the horse tripped on the rope and they both fell from a cliff into a river.
Plot

Spoiler Warning: Plot and/or ending details follow

Senri meets Cooro and Husky when he is defending the village of Abon from the Garrison Gang. After they save the village, Senri goes travelling with the two other +Anima. They soon after meet Nana in the town of Octopus, who also joins them. The four children travel across Astaria together, encountering other +Anima along the way.

They eventually make it to Moss Mountain where Senri's Anima reacts to that of his father's best friend, Upas, causing Senri to further lose his memories and forget his travelling companions. Realizing that Senri has a part of the Amurui Anima in him, under the guise of a trial, Upas takes Senri up Moss Mountain with the intention of killing him. Senri fights both Upas and an Amurui cub, and loses completely loses control of his own Anima. Cooro, Husky and Nana are able to calm him down and restore his memory of them.

Senri travels with his friends to Sailand where he is captured by slave traders and taken to Market Town to be sold; Lady Crystala buys him again. He then travels to Stella with Cooro, Nana and Ed, in order to rescue Husky who had also been captured by the slave traders. After finding him and helping him to meet his mother, Senri travels back to Astaria with his friends.

They continue to travel across Astaria together. Senri competes in the 1st Yellow Valley Race, however doesn't finish since he has to carry Lyra back to town. Eventually they choose to settle down and live with Harden and Margaret.

In Crossover Chaos, Senri is an Exoversal explorer alongside Cooro and Nana, and is trying to find Husky and bring him back to their home planet of Astaria.

Senri is in his 30s in Crossover Chaos, so he is older then he is in canon.

Back in the GSS Michael Lindsay...

Elaine had explained herself quite clearly to Izzy, now.

"I wish I didn't have empathy, Izzy. I wish, sometimes, that other people didn't have thoughts... feelings... emotions... y'know, so they don't hurt me, or others. And sometimes, I wish that I had died in the Digital World."

Tears streamed down Elaine's face.

"Because the car accident..."

Izzy patted Elaine's shoulder, but Elaine pushed it away.

"A family died. Children died, Izzy. All because of my own selfish desires... I can help and heal others... but I can't heal myself."

Elaine sobbed, as her voice lowered to a whisper.

"I wish I wasn't reliable to anyone or anything anymore. I wish you didn't love me, Izzy."

Izzy paused, and then hugged Elaine.

"But I do." She said, softly, her mascara starting to stream down her face.

"And why would you do that?" Elaine asked, looking at Izzy.

"I wish I wasn't loved or hated by anyone. I wish I wasn't the Deathblade... I wish I could just sit around... and just be."

Izzy paused again.

"...Elaine. Listen to me..."

She looked up at Elaine.

"You matter. Your thoughts, your feelings, your opinions. All of them matter, like you do. And I love you, Elaine. I really do. I just wish I could show you that a lot better."

Elaine sobbed, and hugged Izzy.

"I love you too, Izz."

The two hugged it out...

Izzy smiled and Elaine wagged her tail suddenly, as Izzy noticed that she was getting into a completely different mood...

"...You know..."

Elaine paused, trying not to ruin the moment.

"We should have some alone time whenever we get the chance..." Elaine giggled like a schoolgirl.

Izzy raised an eyebrow.

"What, cuddle time? Like back when you ran that jail?"

Elaine wiped the tears from behind her glasses.

"Exactly like back when I went to jail."

Izzy couldn't stop smiling.

Mae tried to comfort Nana as much as she could, while Senri was trying to fight Socks.

"Stooooop! I apologize, don't kill me!" Socks shouted, raising up Hexagonus in front of him.

Senri paused...

And then untransformed his arm.

"Good." Senri said, turning and walking next to Nana and Mae.

Socks then asked the three 'weres' what they were doing here, what their names were, and what they were searching for...

The 'werecrow' introduced himself as Cooro, and the two others as Senri and Nana, and they were searching for a man named Husky.

As Socks asked them what he looked like, Cooro described him.

Socks paused, and blinked.

"...You're looking for Diamond of the Stack?"

+Anima Detection

Cooro has the innate ability to tell whether a person is a +Anima at a glance, while in their human form.
History

Spoiler Warning: Plot and/or ending details follow

Cooro's mother died late into pregnancy and, as is custom in her hometown of Lilt, her body was placed on a cairn to be eaten by crows. From one of these crows, Cooro obtained his Anima while still in the womb, making him the only known person to be born a +Anima. Cooro flew away and crashed through the roof of the church in Kilter. The nuns there raised him along with some other orphans. After a while, Cooro was taken to the Astarian National Research Facility where he met and befriended Fly Greena Aight, and promised to give his Anima to Fly when he grew up. Due to Cooro's ability to sense the presence of other +Anima, Fly sent him to travel across Astaria to gather +Anima for his research.
Plot

Spoiler Warning: Plot and/or ending details follow

Cooro sneaks into a circus to watch a performance but is caught and told to perform for the circus to pay the cost of his ticket. There he meets Husky, a fellow +Anima, who is being coerced into working for the circus. Cooro rescues Husky and the two start travelling together. They soon after pick up Senri in Abon, and Nana in Octopus. The four children travel west across Astaria, meeting many interesting people but never staying in one place for long.

During their travels, Fly keeps tabs on Cooro's activities, hoping to hear from him since Cooro had not returned to the research facility in some time. However, he is unable to continue his monitoring as Cooro and his friends pass through Moss Mountain, leaving Astaria and entering Sailand. After they eventually return to Astaria, Fly meets up with Cooro in Yellow Valley where he advises Cooro to visit the church in Kilter. Cooro is hesitant to go, but his friends insist, wanting to know more about the past the Cooro keeps a secret.

After Nana and Husky disappear while investigating a ghost at the church, Cooro and Senri track them through a tunnel, and they all end up at the Astarian National Research Facility. Having now returned, Cooro accepts that it is time for him to follow through on his offer and give his Anima away to Fly. After the surgery, he feels lost without his Anima and finds himself wandering back to Lilt, atop a cairn. His friends find him there at the moment he sprouts new wings, which Senri identifies as not being from his original Anima. Cooro starts to aimlessly fly away, but his friends grab ahold and stop him. He finds the void he was feeling to be filled by their friendship; his new Anima leaves him and his original one returns.
Trivia

Cooro in Parallel 3.

The original short stories' version of Cooro is rather different from his canon counterpart.
He has a much more violent personality, picking fights and threatening people with his hatchet. He also has a tendency to show off.
His design is similar, but when using his Anima he also grows tail feathers, and his arms become covered in feathers.

In Crossover Chaos, Cooro is an Exoversal traveller, alongside Senri and Nana. He, alongside Senri and Nana, are currently trying to find Husky, and bring him back to their home planet of Astaria.

Meanwhile, in the Magical Realms...

The Dragon Council was talking it out with two of their own.

Prince Haiku...

And Princess Mitzuki.

They were the son and daughter of King Haiku the First, the currently absent ruler of the Magical Realms, so Prince Haiku had to take up a lot of his duties in his stead.

"What do you mean we have to watch over some mortals from the forces of darkness?" Princess Mitzuki asked, skeptical of the whole proceedings.

"Not just mortals." One of the dragons replied.

"Paragons."

Prince Haiku nodded, looking worried that the Colmares and Abe weren't doing their jobs.

"We're going to watch over the Paragons? I thought the Colmares did that."

One of the dragons turned on a magical mirror, and they could see, to their horror, Elaine crying.

"Some of them need a little help, and a little bit of guidance... and we believe you all can give it to them."

Prince Haiku and Princess Mitzuki had no qualms about helping the Paragons at this time...

Especially when they saw...

That some of their numbers were suffering.

And after all, a young dragon prince and princess...

Have to do something with their lives besides sitting around in the Magical Realms, right?

PRINCE HAIKU AND PRINCESS MITZUKI

Original Series: Sailor Moon Primordial X-Storm (2000s to mid 2010s)

Elwynn James originals from before he created Crossover Chaos with Jessica McKinney, inspired by various anime popular at the time of their creation and primary use outside the story, as well as various fanfiction on this very site that was also around at that time.

Prince Haiku is the heir to the Magical Realms, named after his absentee ruler father, King Haiku the First.

Princess Mitzuki is his twin sister, an all-powerful wizard (as the term is gender-neutral in the Magical Realms) and follows in the footsteps of her mother, Queen Mitzuki the First, in that type of lifestyle.

They are both magical dragons (golden coloured) and can transform into human and dragon forms interchangably.

They are now being used in Crossover Chaos as 'guardian angel'-esque figures (the term used in the story is actually "guardian dragons" because they are draconic) to help the Paragons, and get them on the right life path.

Extra Note: Mitzuki, though not originally such in the original Primordial X-Storm canon, is a lesbian in Crossover Chaos canon.

Elaine was unaware of the situation that was going on right then and there, as Izzy and her were quiet and enjoying each other's company now.

Elaine smiled and held Izzy closer to her.

"WHAT?!" Cooro shouted, his crow wings fluffing out in surprise.

"Husky...? Part of the Stack? Oh, you've gotta be kidding me! He'd never join a group as villainous as the Stack!"

Socks frowned.

"Well, actually..."

Cooro raised up his hands, clearly still not believing Socks with his comments.

"Oh, I'll believe when I see it. I can't believe he'd be going off like that for almost a decade now."

Senri paused, and then looked at Cooro.

"The Grendel is right."

Cooro paused.

And then looked down.

"...He is, isn't he?"

Elaine hugged Izzy, as her Goliath Grendel tail thumped against the floor.

"I love you, honey... even if I'm a little fucked up in my head... but that's alright, isn't it, sweetie?"

Izzy giggled like a schoolgirl, and hugged Elaine.

"Oh, I don't mind, Elaine. I know you are just you, and that's all that matters."

Prince Haiku and Princess Mitzuki had appeared in Anthy's ship, as she had been watching the scene between Socks and the three +Anima.

Anthy paused...

And then looked slowly towards them.

"Hello?" She said, her voice low in a horrified whisper.

She thought these intruders were coming to kill her, and she couldn't even transform into the Rose Bride right now without Utena around!

Haiku and Mitzuki's eyes glowed golden, as Anthy let out a panicked gasp for breath.

"Who- What are you?"

Mitzuki approached Anthy, smiling a bit.

"You won't believe this... but we're dragons."

Dragons? Anthy thought.

Like the old legends?

"No way, you're lying to me." Anthy responded, frowning a bit.

"How could you be dragons?"

Anthy got her answer when Mitzuki summoned up her draconic wings from her back.

"Is that enough of an answer?"

Anthy shook.

And then fainted.

Haiku paused.

"...Maybe you shouldn't have done that, sis." Haiku responded.

"Well, she got her answer, didn't she?" Mitzuki responded, as Haiku rolled his eyes in response to her response.

"...Dragons?" Trippz asked after they had rushed into Anthy's ship, to find out what was going on.

"...Weredragons or just dragons?" Mae asked, confused about the whole proceedings that Anthy had just described.

Anthy was about to open her mouth and describe more, when Prince Haiku waved his hand, smiling a bit.

Anthy knew he was about to answer, so she decided not to talk.

"Well... Dragons, but not of this realm. We are of the Magical Realms, and we know that you Paragons may need more then a little help with your current and future missions."

He then pointed at Mitzuki, who raised an eyebrow in confusion as to why her twin brother was pointing at her.

"Also, we're legendary Dragon Masters, as we've mastered our powers when we were young, and Mitzuki is also a powerful wizard."

Vinnie walked into the room, mouthing the words "wizard?" while looking at Mitzuki.

"Yeah, Warlock, Wizard and Witch are all gender-neutral terms in the Magical Realms." Mitzuki responded.

"Get used to it, buddy."

Vinnie paused, looking away and mouthing the word "buddy?" to himself.

VINNIE

Original Series: Mission: Magic! (1972)

The best friend of Socks. A adventrous jock type, who messes up his words often, usually written in for comedic reasons. He is the boyfriend of Carol.

In Crossover Chaos, he is a Western Martian/Human halfie, and the son of Uncle Martin from My Favourite Martian.( This is a reference to the fact that Filmation gave the two characters similar facial shapes, giving the very real possibility that it was reused for another series, as Filmation was known to have shoestring budgets.)

Also in Crossover Chaos, Vinnie has the family last name of Malaproper, coming from his dad Martin.

Vinnie is also a mechanic at a mechanic shop ran by Kai and Tyson (Beyblade), and is married to Shantae (Shantae series), with whom they have three kids together.

He also has a prosthetic leg named Honest Ernest (a reference to his voice actor, Howard Morris, who also played the character of Ernest T. Bass in the Andy Griffith Show), which he built himself, and has a few built-in weapon modes to protect himself and others.

"But yeah, you can count on us to help you, because we're probably going to be helping you for a long, long time." Mitzuki continued, motioning towards all the Paragons.

Jess was there, and pictured her husband, Christian Brutal Sniper, as a dragon and squealed like a fangirl.

She then wondered what he would be as a mix of a dragon and snake and squealed even more.

JESSICA SLOTT

Original Series: Crossover Chaos

A fanmade younger sister of the canonical Mission: Magic! character Harvey, who is autistic, and has a special interest in demonology.

She is also a self insert of Jessica McKinney, thus her name, and is married to Christian Brutal Sniper, who she is implied to have 'tamed' slightly during her marriage to him, due to the fact that Christian Brutal Sniper felt the Colmare-given need to protect her, and her daughter Nikki.

Harvey rolled his eyes, and smiled at his sister's fangirling over her husband.

He had feelings like that for Franklin, though it was of a different kind...

(He just really loved playing with Franklin's elven ears, and he was the only one allowed to actually touch them, as Franklin lashed out if anyone else tried to)

Prince Haiku and Princess Mitzuki smiled, as they, alongside the +Anima and Anthy, decided to go off and find Husky and Utena.

A few hours later...

The Paragons were listening to Prince Haiku and Princess Mitzuki, and what their lives were, as Nana and Anthy pointed out places where they had seen Husky and Utena.

"You see... I'm an all powerful wizard." Princess Mitzuki started.

"I'm as powerful as my mother, and she herself was very powerful. Also, me and my twin brother's dragon forms are more powerful then all other dragons in the Magical Realms, too..."

Prince Haiku nodded, as he continued from where his sister left off.

"And yes, we're considered the greatest influences to all young dragons in the Magical Realms... and one of them will be joining by your side alongside us."

Vinnie nodded, very interested in where this conversation was going.

"Really? Who?" He asked.

Princess Mitzuki smiled.

"Oh, his name is Naruto Uzumaki-Namikaze. He is a dragon, and a ninja from the Magical Realms... He was trained as a ninja, and will be joining the Paragons by the Garrison's orders..."

Socks adjusted his hat.

"Really, this guy's such a good martial arts expert that our bosses want him in our group, huh?"

Socks shook his head, muttering.

"I always knew Cure Elder was going senile..."

CURE ELDER

Original Series: Beasts and Beings (Currently running)

The leader of the Multi-World Garrison, an organization that is filled, in Beasts and Beings canon, with the ranks of all the Pretty Cure in the Exoverse.

In Crossover Chaos, Cure Elder also funds the Exoversal Major Crimes Unit, their sub-unit of the Paragons, as well as the group Capricorn, made up of all the Kamen Riders, Super Sentai and Power Rangers, and is essentially these three group's contractors.

When Franklin asked about who else Cure Elder wanted to join their unit...

"You may know four of them, and another holds the Ten Commandments Sword in her hands, who houses the spirit of our father, King Haiku the First."

"That's great and all..." Socks started...

"But what are the name of the others?" He asked.

"Weas, Nario, Jimbob, Dimitri, Usagi, and Kim Possible. Kim Possible is the one who has the Ten Commandments Sword..."

Christian Brutal Sniper was asleep throughout the entire conversation, but the others were definitely listening into it.

Suddenly, the Paragons felt like they were being watched.

Byakkan ships surrounded them, as Socks barked loudly in fear.

How did they know they were there, and why did they just ambush them?

BYAKKANS

Original Series: Crossover Chaos

A black comedy parody of Kallietoonstudio's Jellielandians, created out of frustration by Elwynn because it seemed like Kallietoonstudios was popping up everywhere on Deviantart.

Their leader is Mar'koz, an Albino Byakkan who is a parody of Marcos Bellies, and has a Grendel wife named Su'uu'ki, a parody of Kallietoonstudio's original character Suki.

They are evil beings, as their people mine planets and sell their materials for big amounts of money.

Ron heard Socks' bark, and barked and whined loudly in fear in response to Socks' fearful bark.

Soon after, the ship erupted into the sounds of fearful Grendel whines and barks, as the rest covered their ears from the loudness of the whole thing.

Even then, the Byakkan ships got closer, as the Paragons were overwhelmed, and really didn't know what to do in this very sudden situation.

Suddenly, there was a flash of pink, purple, red and blue light, as the Byakkan ships got scared off by the sudden flash of colourful light.

It seems whatever found the Paragons...

Wanted them for something...

Anthy looked at her screen.

"...Utena?!"

" I don't want the power to revolutionize the world, but Himemiya needs me! "

— Utena Tenjou

Utena Tenjou (天上ウテナ Tenjou Utena) is the protagonist of the series in every version. She is a student in her second year of middle school at Ohtori Academy who wears a boy's uniform in order to be more like her "prince".

Appearance

Initially, Utena is portrayed with blonde hair and wearing a modified version of the boys' school uniform which is pink in color. In her final design in the anime and manga, Utena has waist-length straight pink hair that has bangs hanging over the right side of her face, blue eyes and she is taller than an average height. She wears a dark blue blazer with red shorts and her uniform is modified when dueling by the addition of white epaulettes to her shoulders and a gold aiguillette through Anthy Himemiya's magic.

In the movie, Utena's hair is cut to be very short and it becomes long wavy pink hair, it flies in the wind undone whenever she is wearing her duelist outfit. Her regular uniform is a black and white blazer and matching trousers, which are unlike the normal boys' uniform, and she wears a navy cap. Utena's trousers are replaced with shorts in her dueling outfit and the addition of gold epaulettes to her shoulders, a red aiguillette and red coloring to her blazer.
Personality

Utena is a popular, passionate and intelligent girl who is looked up to by a number of her fellow pupils, at first appearing to be the total opposite of her friend and fellow protagonist Anthy Himemiya. Despite this, Utena is introverted and she has her own faults, as all at Ohtori do; she has a short temper and can be extremely impulsive as she is quick to assume others' intentions and feelings, which causes no shortage of problems among individuals as complex as Ohtori's students.

In the movie, Utena cuts a more no-nonsense and serious figure, almost to the point of pragmatism and rudeness, as part of the role reversal she and Anthy are subject to.
Story

When Utena was 8 years old, her parents died in an unknown accident.

In the manga, she had wandered through the town until coming upon a river and falling into it.
In the anime, at her parent's funeral, she lay in a coffin where she awaits her own death as she believes there is no reason to live anymore since all humans will eventually perish.
In both versions, Utena is saved by Prince Dios and she was given a Rose Signet ring. Dios tells her to never lose her nobility even as she grows up, starting the events of the series.

In both the anime and manga, Utena unintentionally becomes a Duelist and she wins Anthy Himemiya as the Rose Bride. Due to the critical of the Duels for objectifying the Rose Bride, Utena's desires to protect Anthy as well as a drive to act like a Prince lead her to become the Duels' most prominent Champion. As the series passes, her nobility is continuously tested, until she is finally forced to confront her own hypocrisy.

In the anime's finale, Akio Ohtori tries to convince Utena to become his princess, and despite being reminded of her own failings, Utena goes against him in the duel called Revolution. Her revived dedication to become a prince shocks Akio, and causes the destruction of the illusion castle above the arena, where Utena gets the upper hand- only to get stabbed in the back by Anthy. Her sword taken from her, Utena is forced to watch Anthy being impaled by the swords of hatred while Akio tries to open the Rose Gate with her sword. But, after being goaded by Prince Dios, Utena drags herself to the Rose Gate and pulls it open with her bare hands. Behind the Gate is Anthy, inside a coffin, who pleads for Utena to not try to save her. Utena doesn't listen and begs Anthy to take her hand. Upon doing so, the coffin breaks off of the arena and Utena is pierced by the swords in Anthy's place, which then destroy the arena. Some time after, people are starting to forget that Utena was ever at the academy, with Akio commenting that she became "another side leftover to be pitied". But, Utena did indeed get her wish, and managed to free Anthy from her bonds to the school and Akio. The anime ends with Anthy leaving the academy to find Utena.

In the movie, Utena travels to Ohtori Academy after she supposedly breaks up with Touga Kiryuu (Utena's past boyfriend) and it is also assumed that she was in an emotional turmoil (a state of great commotion, confusion or disturbance) that led her to the academy after her separation from Touga. However, she sees him on her first day on campus with her hair cut short (though it is tied up and hidden inside a cap) that gives her more of a male's appearance, which caused Kyouichi Saionji to initially mistake her for a boy. She is extremely troubled by Touga's apparent abandonment of her and her interactions with Anthy Himemiya express a level of introversion not present in the anime series, though she also shows an unpredictable streak and she is once physically violent towards Anthy in anger, in which this is said by fans to be Utena's adoption of a more masculine personality. Initially Utena's aim to be a prince is more subtle than prominent compared to the anime series. It is Touga's supposed abandonment of her that caused her to feel that she must be more independent and a "prince" by nature. Though, she states that Touga was always the prince she wanted, the movie deals with her own metamorphosis in becoming a prince. Many fans noted that Utena and Anthy seemingly swap personalities in the movie and that Utena is the one who must be saved by Anthy. Their physical appearances also seem to mirror their respective series incarnations (seeing that Utena has long wavy hair and Anthy has long straight hair, which was the opposite in the series).
Notable Relationships
Anthy Himemiya

Utena initially sees Anthy being mistreated and protects her, causing them to develop a deep friendship with romantic undertones. In the movie retelling/sequel, they develop romantic feelings for one another. It is heavily implied they have both a romantic and sexual bond.
Wakaba Shinohara

Wakaba is Utena's best friend. Though they appear very close, she is unaware of Utena's involvement in dueling and often takes a backseat to the other characters where she and Utena are able to help each other despite not fully understanding each other's individual struggles.
Akio Ohtori

In the third arc of the anime, Utena has an uncomfortable romantic and sexual relationship with Akio. Akio, being much older and very predatory, attempts to take advantage of Utena in order to drive her away from Anthy and make her his princess.

In Crossover Chaos, Utena is a member of the Stack, and goes by the nickname of Heart. She is the 'motherly figure' of the Stack, but feels like she doesn't want to be.

Cooro smiled, as he saw Husky coming out of the Stack ship.

"Husky..."

"Why did you guys save us?" Franklin asked, confused and suspicious of their motives.

Utena came closer, and frowned.

"We knew you were all looking for us, so we came to you."

Trippz stared, before she said, softly...

"Uh... I don't wanna fight you guys..."

Utena shook her head, and frowned slightly.

"No, you don't need to."

Anthy suddenly rushed forth, and hugged Utena, her Rose Prince.

Utena smiled behind her mask, and looked very happy to be reunited with her lover.

Cooro rushed forth, hugging Husky, followed by Nana and Senri.

Husky smiled, lifting up his mask, as he showed his face publically for the first time in a decade.

Seems like a happy ending for these two former Stack members...

Back to Weas...

Weas tried to bite his shackles off his bleeding wrists.

They were tough, and he wasn't capable of wiggling them off, he realized, as they were stuck, very obviously, in his wrists, and realized that they were digging, almost cutting, into them horribly.

If he were to get them off, he'd have to have some sort of surgery to fix his wrists, as they were very possibly damaged by this whole "being shackled to the wall" situation.

Great. My wrists are ruined.

At least the ankle shackles aren't quite as bad...

Weas noticed that were no guards around, either, so he could just slip right out of his imprisonment quite easily...

Almost like whoever imprisoned him here...

Seemed to want him to escape...

Weas' shackles jangled as he ran as fast as he could across the stone floor.

He was leaving quite the blood trail behind him, but Weas knew that being a Wes'vit, their blood vessels were very compact, so they could lose a lot more blood then an Ardan Human could in an average battle.

The perks of being a Wes'vit, he guessed.

He got out fairly easily, and seemed to not even get any guards to even notice...

However, when he got out...

Weas collapsed on the front lawn of the place of his imprisonment.

No!

I must keep going!

I have to escape!

Please, Colmares, let me escape!

Weas crawled across the front lawn, as his body seemed to tire out almost immediately.

And Weas was starting to feel light-headed, and dizzy...

The last thing Weas saw when he blacked out was a flash of golden scales...
