Cryystal zoomed out of Emily's pocket.
"Wow! You did brilliantly!" the little goose chirruped. "But, um… the whole time, were you thinking about your alter ego?"
"I managed to resist the urge to think about it. About you, about my miraculous. If Hawk moth found out, it would all be terrible. I mean, what if he sneaks into my home and takes The miracle box?"
"Speaking of which…" Cryystal smirked. "I think you should tell ladybug."
"Why?"
"Because, I mean, she's the guardi-"
"-No, this is another miracle box. Different to hers. She is the guardian of hers, I am the guardian of mine."
"Fine" Cryystal sighed, trying to change the subject. "Well, she doesn't even know about this one's existence!"
"Fine, fine, fine. I'll tell her. I mean, wouldn't it be weird if a goose superhero came up to you and said 'hello I have been a superhero for practically longer than you and also when the villain is already tied up then those times were me because I beat you to most of them and have the akumatised object ready for you so you can deevilise.' Yeah sure she'd believe that!"
"But it's true!"
"Yeah, I KNOW it's true, but Ladybug won't!"
"Fine. Whatever."
"Fine. I'll do it." Emily shrugged. Just as she was about to leave, a figure zoomed in through the window.
"AAAAAGH! LADYBUG?!"
"Oh, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to scare you!"
"I-I-it's fine" she dismissed, brushing herself off.
"Well, Emily, that was AWESOME what you did!" Ladybug grinned.
"Do you mind, um, please, uh, giving me, um a bit of, um, space, uh, please? And what do you mean?"
Ladybug backed away. "Oh yeah, sorry, I shouldn't be here. Social distancing. I- Um, let's keep this meeting a secret, K?" Ladybug winked.
"…K" Emily shrugged nervously.
"Well, are you okay?"
"Huh?"
"Hawk moth was trying to akumatis-"
"HOW DO YOU KNOW!?" she screamed. "AM I BEING WATCHED?"
"N-no, it's gone viral."
"WAIT, IS MY WHOLE LIFE FAKE? AM I BEING RECORDED, ARE THERE CAMERAS IN MY HOME?" She gasped.
"Uh, no, a drone with a camera came past you but then the kid controlling it lost control of the drone and it was flying around your house madly for a while. It caught the whole conversation. Between you and Hawk moth."
"O-oh." Emily was unsure about everyone seeing it. She felt embarrassed, and angry with herself that she had given way to negative emotions and let and akuma into her mind. "That conversation is private!" she whispered coldly. She buried her face in her hands.
Ladybug sighed. "Emily, you've become a legend. I know you're angry with yourself. We all get upset from time to time, we all have negative emotions. But what's important is that we don't bottle them up and dismiss them so they spiral out of control, making you do irrational things. Hawk moth takes advantage of this human nature that we all have. You did brilliantly resisting, Emily. Nobody had ever been able to resist both the first and second stage of akumatisation." Ladybug smiled.
"First… and second stage?" Emily shrugged.
"The first stage is called the temptation stage. It is where Hawk moth senses a negative emotion and tries to akumatised you. If the akuma sinks in to an object, then that means that you haven't passed the first stage. But the second stage is called the passive stage, where Hawk moth will convince you to join his side. That is what Hawk moth was getting you to do. Nobody has been able to resist that. Once, I was being akumatised when I was my civilian self, but my kwami reminded me to stay strong and not to fear. The akuma never went it. The last stage is the active stage, where is you accept and agree, you will move onto it. At this point, Hawk moth can see everything in your mind, crystal clear. There is no hiding it. At this point, you take your akumatised form. By this stage, you cannot resist. I think you are incredible, Emily. And so… I am giving you a miraculous. The bee m-"
"No."
"Wh-? Y-you haven't even let me finish!"
"I already have a miraculous. In fact, a whole miracle box."
Ladybug's eyes widened in shock. Her mouth was hanging open. She dropped her yo-yo. It clattered to the ground loudly, contrasting to the blinding silence.
They stared at each other in silence, until Emily broke it.
"Here is is" Emily held it up. It took the form of a feather. In each of the lines coming from the main one, there was a miraculous slot.
"I'm sorry I never told you."
"A miraculous of making akumas." She whispered breathlessly. "A miraculous of RESISTING AKUMATISATION!?" she stated, her voice slightly louder and trembling. "A MIRACULOUS OF WISDOM? A MIRACULOUS OF SEEING ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING!? YOU TELL ME NOW!? WITH THIS, WE WOULD HAVE DEFEATED HAWK MOTH WITHIN THIRTY SECONDS!" She roared.
"I'm so sorry, I was stupid, I-"
Ladybug left the room through the window again, in silence.
