Chapter 2: Standing up like a man
The day went as usual for the green haired hero.
Izuku was not paying attention to the teacher droning on in class, looking at the window outside in deep thought.
It has been one year and six months since he was in this new world, and some of the things here is taking to get used to.
Like there is no Justice League, no Teen Titans, no Legion of Doom, or any sort of villain organization.
This world's level of technology, was at best subpar compared to the level of technology made by WayneTech, Queen Industries, or S.T.A.R Labs. The only Technological entity or person capable of producing that sort of technology was Dr. David Shield, who can create some of the most advanced pieces of tech used as support items for Heroes.
Speaking of Heroes, there is one particular Hero that caught his eye.
All Might AKA "The Symbol of Peace" or "The #1 Pro-Hero", His real name Toshinori Yagi.
In the memories of the previous Izuku, he clearly idolized All Might as was shown by his collection of memorabilia which Izuku shivered at the memory.
The current Izuku, was however curious. He saw the way All Might acted or how he walked, talked, and conducted himself in public he initially assumed that the "Superman reject" had an ego like Booster Gold.
But to his surprise, said "Superman reject" was in fact more serious about his duties as a hero than most Pro-Heroes, where he was willing to risk his life for a single person, not leaving one behind which Izuku had a large respect for.
Izuku was even amused at All Might's way of talking, as if he's the living embodiment of a shounen character. But all in all, All Might had his heart in the right place.
"Mr. Midoriya!" The teacher suddenly called out to Izuku.
"Wha-?" Izuku broke out of his daydreaming, "Ye-Yes sensei?"
"Because you appear to have little interest on our lesson, perhaps can you tell us about the history of the first human to have a Quirk." The teacher said, which the students snickered at Izuku being called out for not paying attention in class.
"Ha! The Quirkless got called."
"What a loser."
"I bet that failure can't get an answer."
"No wonder he's the bottom of the class."
Izuku, hearing the insults his eye twitched in anger and annoyance.
'Alright, that's it!' Izuku was now officially fed up with the crap he has to put up with, now mildly annoyed and pissed he decided to surprise them, and make them feel stupid.
"Very well sensei." Izuku said as he stood up and cleared his throat.
"The first "Quirk" person was born in the city of Qing Qing, located within the province of Fujien, China. The baby was a girl and was given the name: Bo Chao-Xing."
"After her birth, Bo's 'Quirk' known only as "Luminesence"which is a Type of Evo-Quirk. Though it was called 'Meta-ability' at that time, had garnered international headlines. And the Chinese Communist Party at that time, saw the infant Bo Chao as a extremely valuable asset. At an early age, Bo Chao-Xing had been taken watched and studied under the Chinese Government, hoping that her abilities can help them win in the geopolitical war against it's western adversaries."
"However, Bo Chao-Xing had been also one of the very few to speak out against the rule of the Communist Party Leaders in China, calling the Party members and the Chairman "Relics of a bygone age. Old feeble leaders that failed to adapt in the rapidly changing world, following an ideology that had failed to serve the people time and time again, and corrupt fools that should've been outsed from power long ago."
"Those words, had not only shocked the Chinese Government, but had triggered a chain of events which sparked the Second Chinese Civil War, with the Communists on one side, Bo Chao-Xing and the Anti-Communists on the other."
"It was this civil conflict, that her powers was shown for the first time to the world via TV. Firing beams of light which blinded chinese soldiers, even firing light so hot that it melts armor and metal. Creating chaos and confusion on the Communist forces."
"The actions of Bo Chao-Xing and the Anti-Communists had led to the downfall of the Chinese Communist Party, It is here that The Luminent-born Hero Bo Chao-Xing had stood in the steps of the Forbidden City and declared the fall of the People's Republic of China, and the declaration of the Birth of a new China: Called the First Chinese Republic, declaring herself it's first President and Head of State."
"Her heroic stand against the CCP had a major impact on the world as a whole, She had not only saved millions of Chinese from a shadowy oppressive Government, but had also other millions of Chinese lives returned to their families, who were wrongfully accused as Enemies of the State, even creating numerous reforms within Government which helped China move to a more democratic path."
"The Chinese people had praised her actions, some even worshipped her as a Goddess. But the world can all agree on that with her powers, and the millions of lives she had saved, she was called the 'First Superhero.'
"Even during the time of the Vigilantes Era, she had been heavily involved in maintaining world peace as a major representative of the UN Security Council, creating numerous multi-national 'task forces' that had members with powerful Quirks with the purpose of hunting down dangerous criminals with powerful Quirks. Of course the members of these special forces were the 95 of the original 189 vigilantes that became the First Pro-Heroes."
"She was also deeply involed in the Rhode Island New State Statue, as she was the author and one could say, the Brainchild of the Implementation of the newly proposed Pro-Hero System as a way to prevent people in using their Quirks in putting the law in their own hands, which the results are more often than not disastrous, she believed that having Professional Superheroes must maintain peace and stability so that people wouldn't have to."
"Bo Chao-Xing was also one of the first Heroes to fight "All for One." But her Quirk wasn't enough to put the Villain down, sadly she had died in All for One's hands at the age of 49, the first of the heroes to die on the line of work."
"Her death had been mourned by billions, and at the day of July 17 which is her birthday was an international Holiday known as "Light Day."" Izuku finished.
The entire class was incredibly silent, the expressions of the students were that of shock, disbelief, and surprise.
Even Bakugou, was surprised and angered at Izuku as he expected to make a fool of himself.
"We-well Mr. Midoriya, that's one o-of the most outstanding explanations I-I've ever heard." The teacher was flabbergasted, as he didn't expect such a detailed explanation.
No, rather an explanation Izuku gave a History lesson on the First Human with Meta-Abilities who is the First Superhero known only as "Neo-Dragon." Which is Bo Chao-Xing's Superhero name.
"Why thank you sensei." Izuku smiled proudly.
"May I ask, how did you know all of this? Some of the things you've explained are in the university-level curriculum." The teacher asked.
"Well If you are a Hero, you must also know your History." Izuku explained as he goes into 'Philosopher mode.' "History can be a valuable teacher, it helps you understand and avoid repeating the mistakes of the past, and can provide some insight into the mind of some important people in the past. As a Hero, understanding our past is the way we can help grow and avoid repeating past mistakes we have made, it helps us move forward into the future as the lessons of the past can help us be better people, and better Heroes."
Izuku paused, as to catch his breath "After all, Those who think of themselves as Heroes, must put the lives of the innocent first above all else, to use their Quirks to help the helpless, to guide the blind and deaf, and to save and protect the people..."
Then Izuku directed his gaze at Bakugou "And, those Heroes who used their Quirks for their own self-interests and, in their arrogance to prove themselves they are better than others just to fuel their own inflated ego..."
"...Don't deserve to be called a Hero." Izuku calmly finished his words, the last sentence he directed it to Bakugou by looking at him, as he sat down.
The classmates' reactions were quiet, but they definitely made an impact.
Some of them listened to Midoriya's words and thought that they made sense.
Others, felt insulted by the last sentence but couldn't retort as they knew they were true.
But a few of them gasped in horror, as they knew those words we're actually directed at Bakugou. They knew that Bakugou had a very short fuse and an explosive personality, with a large Ego the size of Mt. Everest to match.
Bakugou...
'Did, did Deku just-!?' Bakugou was a bit confused about Izuku's words until it clicked into his head.
Then, those words are interpreted in his head.
'Just because you have a powerful Quirk to prove you are better than me, you don't deserve to be a Hero.'
Then the entire class felt a wave of dread, the class then looked in horror as they saw a silent Katsuki Bakugou.
But if you look closer, Katsuki's eyes are now glowing red and is now directed at Izuku, his fists clenched almost drawing blood.
'Oh no! He's snapped!' Everyone in class then started to move a few inches away from Bakugou's seat.
Izuku, noticing the aura of dread he looked at Bakugou indirectly as he saw Bakugou looking at him with Bakugou's eyes that had a look that can scare any living animal in a 50 mile radius.
Izuku, he was not scared of Katsuki.
'Just as expected of him, guess you two are not so different after all' Izuku mused.
After all, while provoking the rabid beast known as Katsuki Bakugou is considered a health hazard to those who knew him or crossed him, Izuku was the only Hero that can subdue him, or take him down.
Bakugou (DC Version) Backstory.
Back at his original world, Katsuki Bakugou was a former member of the Teen Titans, and just like the previous Izuku, he is his childhood friend
Katsuki had began his superhero career by stumbling upon a Red Lantern, and it somewhat chose him.
Katsuki, once he had worn the ring it's power overwhelmed him and turned him into an overwhelming force of rage and fury.
Eventually, he was able to control the power of the ring by sheer force.
Eventually he was found by Atrocitus, the leader of the Red Lantern Corps. He snatched Katsuki Bakugou and trained him at the planet Ysmault to become the Red Lantern's newest member.
However, Katsuki's desire to be a Hero was the only thing that kept him from becoming a villain and be one of the Red Lanterns. He defied Atrocitus and escaped from his influence.
He asked for help and refuge in the Justice League, which they were highly suspicious of him and weary due to Katsuki being a Red Lantern bearer, especially Green Lantern AKA Hal Jordan.
Eventually, they agreed to help Bakugou albeit with extreme reluctance, especially Batman and GL who wanted to keep a close eye on him.
They placed him under the supervision of Izuku and the Teen Titans, Hal Jordan was placed as Katsuki's trainer to help him reign in his power of rage, and Batman was in charge of monitoring Bakugou closely.
Eventually after two years, while he still was a prideful asshole with anger issues, Katsuki Bakugou had successfully controlled his red power ring and started to warm up with the JL and the Teen Titans.
He also had his new superhero name: "Grenadier Red" as he uses his red power ring to deliver explosive attacks on his enemies.
Bakugou, while he enjoyed his newfound status as a Hero in the Teen Titans he eventually left the group after two years.
He wanted to do his own thing, his own path, and that he had a score to settle with the Red Lanterns, who had put him through hell during his time with them.
Till that day onward, Katsuki Bakugou AKA Grenadier Red is waging a one man war against Atrocitus and the Red Lanterns.
Provoking Katsuki was something he had done before, to put down his ego.
He knew that later, he would have to confront him.
But he had prepared for it.
Later..."WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU SAY BACK THERE, DEKU!?"
After class, Izuku had been pushed against the wall by Bakugou and his gang, he was dragged to the bathroom stalls.
However, Izuku was calm and never showed any fear as he was held by the collar by Katsuki
"Whatever did you mean, Kaachan?" Izuku said with thinly disguised sarcasm, with a mocking tone.
"You know what the fuck I mean you useless, quirkless, piece of shit! you were trying to insult me in front of the class!? thinking that I'm not a Hero?!" Katsuki raged, his eyes showed fury and a bit of a wounded ego.
"Oh come on Kaachan, I wasn't insulting you in front of the class. I was merely stating the truth, Heroes that are arrogant and think that they're hot shit that they think they can just step on other people just because they are better than them really don't deserve to be called a Hero. At best, they can be called a villain." Izuku said with heavy sarcasm.
"SHUT UP! THAT'S IT! YOU'RE DEAD MEAT!!" Bakugou screamed in blind fury, his pride and ego hurt that even his fellow bullies were a bit unnerved.
"Hold him!" Bakugou said to his fellow bullies, and they followed.
They held Izuku with both arms and legs so he could not escape, but Izuku was merely smiling mischeivously.
Then Katsuki readied his Quirk, ready to punch Izuku.
"Hey Katsuki! what are you doing!?" One of the bullies said, surprised at what Katsuki's planning. "You can't use Quirks here, we'll get in trouble if the teachers find ou-"
"JUST SHUT UP!"
But Katsuki didn't listen, he wanted to teach Izuku and know his place, as he is the top dog and the next All Might, or so he thinks.
But Izuku...
'This might hurt, a lot' He thought as he winced when Katsuki punched Izuku in the stomach which sends him flying through the ground.
'But Katsuki, you will now learn: that your actions have consequences'
For ten whole minutes of brutal hazing, Izuku was beaten up badly.
While the Bullies do most of the handling, it was Bakugou that did all of the beating.
But Izuku, while he endured extreme pain he was still smiling which irked and angered Bakugou even further.
After that's done, Izuku was lying down on the wet bathroom floor. The bathroom was slightly damaged as broken tiles, unhinged stall doors and some splotches of blood draining on the floor.
"*cough! cough!*" Izuku coughed blood.
"Now Deku." Bakugou then stepped on Izuku's head and pressing it.
"On your knees, kiss my shoes, and say 'You are the strongest Hero, forgive me' and I might just forgive the insult" Katsuki said with an arrogant tone.
"Ha ha ha... HA HA HA!"
"What?" Katsuki was surprised that while he had his foot on Izuku's head he is now laughing.
Grabbing him by his collar again, he asked.
"What's so funny about, huh!?" Bakugou barked.
"HA HA HA, Haaa" Izuku then calmed down as he smiled evilly.
"Oh Katsuki, my old friend" Izuku said smiling in defiance, "Don't you know that your actions have consequences?"
"What the hell did you mean!?"
"What I mean is..." Izuku then unbuttoned his uniform polo and pulled out inside his uniform, a wire with a microphone on the end.
"Everyone at school had heard everything, I've connected the wire microphone to the school PA system. Ever since you dragged me intp the stalls the entire school by now will already know about our current encounter, they now know the real Katsuki Bakugou. Yeah Kaachan, you've have fallen into my trap! Because of your ego, you have not only gotten yourself in trouble but you have singlehandedly reduced your chances of attending UA Academy down to near zero. This, this is your fault, not mine, I hope what you did to me was worth your worthless ego." Izuku explained with defiance and satisfaction.
Bakugou, was now shocked and shaken to the core! Izuku had dragged him into a trap, and now everyone knew what he did, he had now violated the law.
The teachers, and students now will no longer look at him as a Hero in the making but as a rising Villain, even the bullies are now scared as now their association with Bakugou had their lives turned upside down.
"Mr. Bakugou." A stern, disappointed voice called out to him.
Bakugou turned around and saw Aldera's Junior High Prinicipal, with him were two police officers were inside.
Katsuki, was now screwed.
"Shit."
"YOU CAN'T FUCKING DO THIS TO ME, I'M A HERO IN THE MAKIN-"
Katsuki's words were cut short by the slam of the police car.
As the police car was now driving away with Katsuki, along with other police cars which the other bullies were inside too.
The police officers and the Principal had told him, that Katsuki will be placed in a Maximum Juvenile Detention Center, but there will be a trial soon before any of that can happen.
Izuku although he suffered a painful beating, he was satisfied.
'The Bakugou of my world had more honor than you, If he sees the type of person you are he'll beat you for being a total prick.' He thought to himself.
Izuku, is standing on the school gates, while his face was bandaged due to Katsuki's hazing he kept looking at the police car which Bakugou was riding on.
'But I hope, that if we meet again...' Izuku frowned.
'Well, we'll see.'
A few days later...
Izuku was at Dagobah beach, wearing nothing but swimming trunks and carrying a trash bag.
He's working at one of the several odd jobs, this time as a beach janitor, cleaning the Beach from trash and waste.
But for Izuku, a lit had happened in the last few days.
At the court trial was the case of Katsuki Bakugou and his acquaintances of the misuse of Quirks, and using them in commiting acts of bullying.
The trial was short and immediate, as witnesses and victims had given testimonies and evidences which are enough to sentence Katsuki into prison for 10 years, for violating several major Quirk laws
But since he was a minor, his sentence was that of two years in a Maximum Juvenile Detention Center.
Mitsuki, Katsuki's mom was surprisingly calm when she heard the verdict. She looked at her son with shame and disappointment.
Her words were 'It's time that my son needs to learn things the hard way, i can't have my son acting like a vicious brat thinking he can get away with it.'
There are other trials, Bakugou's companions were given lesser sentences, and also some the teachers and staff that were suppose to discipline Bakugou but ignored him had their teacher licenses removed.
In the end, Katsuki finally gets to learn the consequences, and the harsh reality of not being able to use a Quirk.
At the Detention Center Katsuki now resides, they have Anti-Quirk devices that prevent any juvenile from using their Quirks, which made the inmates powerless.
Izuku, while he felt that it was a well deserved punishment he also knew well that Katsuki Bakugou is a valuable ally.
He hoped that after Bakugou gets released, he'll have changed for the better.
But most importantly, he stood up to him.
He stood against his bullies, and won.
Batman had taught him, to face his fears and conquer them.
And that he did, he faced them and won. He was forever grateful to Batman because if it weren't for him, he would've not done what he had done.
"Thank you Bruce, For everything." Izuku smiled as he looked at the sunset.
By standing up like a man, he had shown to Bakugou.
That Izuku Midoriya is no longer to mess with.

1. Bakugou will NOT be a Villain, because I plan to have him redeem himself for being a total asshole.
2. Izuku will be like a Jason Todd Lite, he will kill Villains but only if they have no redeemable qualities, or are just absolute monsters.
3. There will be versions of MHA characters in DC, like there will be an MHA Bakugo, and there will be a DC Bakugou.
