The wait for Chase was never a good one, but at least they were safe in the lookout this time. They were going to follow Chase to an unknown end. Ryder really had no idea what they'd do while following Chase, he only hoped that somehow they manage to stop him. They couldn't get in front of Chase without and form of special routes as Chase was both faster than them and driving recklessly fast. Only Skye would have an easy time catching him, and Zuma needs a lucky spot of water to cut a lot of length. This time, Ryder told Skye to stay very high up, as Chase's tennis ball cannon does not have infinite length.

As long as Skye always had eyes on him, they could follow him forever. Problem being the same as the reason police helicopters can't track somebody forever. Chase could go into the woods, a building, or really anywhere shielded from the sky.

There was also Marshall. They had no idea whether or not Chase had Marshall, but it was obviously assumed to be the case. What he'd do to Marshall was unknown however. He attempted to run Rubble over with his car, but, did nothing but shoot Rocky in the face with a tennis ball, something he'd done many times now. A lot of things could've been done to Marshall, and they had no idea what to think.

"How are we going to get him back, Ryder?" Skye asked, waiting for Chase to come to the lookout.

"I don't know for sure, but the real Chase has to be in there somewhere. We just have to get it out." Ryder responded, and he was honestly completely stumped as to what to do.

Chase arrived at the lookout not soon after that short talk, and they all rushed to their vehicles. Skye went first as was planned, and she managed to fly up high enough to avoid Chase's tennis balls. They decided not to bring Rubble on the chase as it's best to keep him safe rather than make him follow Chase to who knows where and who knows why.

Once they all got in their vehicles, Chase began to drive away. He knew how to deal with some of them, but only one he knew of wasn't momentary. Chase knew Skye was on him, so he'll need somewhere to hide from her. There were only three vehicles following him, Zuma in his hovercraft being one of them.

Chase knew how to get Zuma off of him, and it was basically destroy his hovercraft. Zuma's hovercraft ran due to propellers on the back of it, so if they stopped spinning, Zuma would stop moving. How fun that Chase's traffic cones were almost a perfect size to get caught right in said propellers.

That happened, actually. Zuma lost control of his hovercraft as the left propeller got a traffic cone stuck in it which both drove Zuma off the road and damaged the propeller to the point of it being unsafe to drive.

"Zuma! Are you alright?" Ryder questioned, driving over to him knowing Skye would keep her eyes on Chase.

"I'm fine Ryder, but you need to follow Chase!" Zuma said, noticing Chase quickly driving away with only Skye watching.

"Are you sure you'll be alright here?" Ryder asked, concerned about Zuma.

"I'll be fine Ryder." Zuma answered, afterwards he watched as Ryder sped off in the direction of Skye's helicopter.

Chase was leading them all to the jungle, a place he knew was high risk high reward. He could easily hide from Skye, and it was possible to drive through the trees sometimes, making it very difficult for Ryder or Rocky to find him. The risk, was Tracker. Tracker could see or hear Chase, and that wouldn't be the best situation for Chase. Chase decided because of Tracker it'd be best to run through the jungle instead of drive once he got out of sight of the pups, which he'd do be driving.

Once actually in the jungle, Chase easily lost Skye, and he thought he lost Ryder. So, Chase sat in his cruiser, just to make sure Ryder wouldn't find and take it from him, and waited to hear Skye's chopper fly away. He heard it land nearby, which really should've been a sign as to what's about to happen.

Ryder actually knew almost exactly where Chase was, and he had a plan. It was uncommon for him to use it, but his ATV did have an autopilot that would be crucial for his idea unless Rocky was going to drive the ATV. Ryder has skills when it comes to stunts, this has been proven many times, so what Ryder was going to do was jump off his ATV onto Chase's now stationary cruiser as his ATV autopiloted. It could've been much easier, but the only vehicles they have are an ATV and a helicopter that obviously can't go into the trees.

So, Ryder drove in the direction Chase was, put his ATV into autopilot, stood up basically surfing on his ATV, and waited for the jump. After almost getting clotheslined by a couple tree branches, he saw Chase's cruiser seconds away. Chase also saw Ryder, but he didn't have enough time to react before Ryder was in the cruiser with him.

"I've got you now, Chase!" Ryder yelled, holding Chase to prevent him from moving.

"No you don't." Chase said, biting Ryder again, this time in the arm, causing Ryder to let go and allowing Chase to drive away.

Chase drove far into the jungle this time, ensuring that Ryder wouldn't see him and Skye couldn't. Ryder's ATV parked on the path outside the trees they drove into. This happened because Ryder told Rocky how to make the autopilot park. Rocky saw Chase drive out, which was his first hint at the outcome, his second was Ryder running out of the trees holding his red arm. Skye was also out there because she flew her helicopter over to meet Rocky and Ryder's ATV.

They couldn't even stop Chase when they're right next to him. The only thing Ryder could think of at this point is getting something similar to Chase's net to catch him with, but none of the pup's packs could shoot anything other than Zuma. He could do it, but it'd be nice to have two pups with a net because Chase could easily take Zuma or Ryder's ATV out. Except there was one other pup who could shoot something, Everest. She had a grapple hook, which might not be able to shoot a net, or anything that'd be able to catch Chase for that matter, but could definitely be remade to do so.

With that in mind, Ryder drove back to the lookout, told Zuma what happened, and called Everest to tell her the whole story. She was expectedly shocked and concerned after hearing what Chase has been doing, and was ready to help in anyway she could. Ryder told her to come to the lookout where they'd go over the whole plan.

While driving back, Tracker called and told Ryder he'd seen Chase speeding by. Chase didn't pay any attention to Tracker and Tracker didn't see or hear anybody else nearby. Ryder told Tracker to follow Chase if he could, which was very short lived as Tracker got shot down by a tennis ball. This prompted Ryder to tell Tracker the whole story as well, and getting him to come to the lookout as well.

So the team was now Ryder, Skye, Rocky without a vehicle, Zuma without a vehicle, Rubble momentarily out of commission, Everest and Tracker. It was a very unusual circumstance to plan around, and many gadgets weren't usable. Some were only usable if, for example Rocky drove Marshall's firetruck. The plan was that Ryder would change Everest's grapple hook to a net as well as Zuma's, and the two of them would try there best to net Chase.

The problem with this plan was that Chase would have to be outside of his cruiser for that, which doesn't happen very often. There's also the fact that if he was outside of his cruiser he wouldn't be very close to them, meaning he'd have lots of time to react. That's another reason why two nets would come in handy, because as Chase is dodging one the other could catch him anyway.

Tracker wasn't going to do much unless Chase went to the jungle again. Really it had nothing to do with how useful Tracker would be specifically, it's more about just having another pup with all their gear. That's why Ryder called Tracker to the job, because all paws on deck was required to save their pup from what he's become.

Marshall saw Chase for the first time since he'd first caught him here, and he was unsure if that was good or bad. It could be bad because Chase could be coming to shoot him in the face with tennis balls or yell at him for all the clumsy things he's done. On the bright side, he's at least seeing somebody, whether they're evil or not he hasn't seen life for a while.

"Chase! P-Please, let me go." Marshall started, "I-It's cold, and a-all I have is th-this little blanket."

Marshall had gotten the blanket out of his EMT gear, doesn't help much with being in a snow scape for hours or days or however long he was gonna be there. Chase's response to what Marshall said was just staring at him. The stare didn't look spiteful, it looked almost like Chase was thinking. Thinking about what was unknown, but Chase would eventually speak.

"Marshall..." He said, looking at the Dalmatian, "I..."

Chase didn't get anything out after that and just ran away. In the midst of the "where are you going" and "come back" coming from Marshall, he just ran away from Marshall without saying anything.

That didn't make a lot of sense.
