I really had so much fun writing this story and chapter... I hope you enjoy...
Inari's body itched, being away from her brother was an almost painful. She knew it wasn't entirely right for her to be so clingy, but life wasn't easy for her brother so she tended to be kind of...well, clingy. He needed it, to survive, to get by. People were cruel, arrogant and abusive to him for just breathing and that just... pissed her off on a scale that she could barely understand.
As she walked away from the school, she tried to calm herself down as much as she could, flexing her powers ever so slightly making leaves flutter from their trees, making people on the sidewalks bump into each other, and dust rise from the ground. Using her power like that, subtly and without getting caught, helped her gained so much control over her quirk. It was illegal, technically, but she didn't care. This was more fun and the results were lovely, watching people get upset and angry with each other, she thought they deserved it, for judging the quirkless so much. They all needed to suffer...
"Calm down Inari, your sounding crazy... just get your but home and... ignore the feeling of dread that comes with Zuzu being more then five feet away." She shivered, even though it was actually lovely out. "You can do this, he's been out of your sight for longer, your okay." It took a monumental force within herself to not sprint and scream, rushing to find her brother and hold him close, snarling at anyone who so much as breathed near him. It was a thought she had... almost constantly.
Hiding her shaking, though barely, she continued towards her home. She had been just wandering through the city, enjoying the sights and the comfort of walking and screwing with people.
A sudden round of explosions drew her attention, as it did basically everyone's. She froze, recognizing their sound. " That's... Bakugo! And knowing Zuzu, he will be prowling around there."
Sprinting, she took off as fast as she could towards the sound, using her quirk to knock people out of the way. In the distance she saw Mt. Lady hovering uselessly, she heard people screaming in shock as more explosions rocked the city. It took nearly fifteen minutes until she found the scene, a crowd of idiot people meandering around uselessly wasn't hard to find, and when she did she watched in utter horror as her adorable brother ran past the police baracade and sprinted towards as Sludge covered Bakugo like the idiot he was. She froze, horrified and unsure of how to react. He was just outside of her range to safely pull back...
And so, like an idiot, she sprinted towards her brother using her powers to push faster and faster towards him. "You little shit, what are you doing?" She grabbed his shirt and yanked him back, as he all but dived into the sludge.
"I have to help him, we have to save him, please Sissy!" Izuku looked as unstable as she felt at times, as broken and worn as she was at all times... and that broke her heart.
Reaching her hands into the Sludge, ignoring it's cold laughter, she screamed and pushed out as much as she could. "GODDESS ARMS!" A Secret Special move she made herself, without even Izuku's help, she watched as her power ripped the monster to shreads, scattering it's pieces everywhere... however she put too much power into the move and sent her brother and Bakugo flying... and All Might, who had apparently came to help a milisecond later.
Glass exploded, concrete shattered, trash went flying down the ally as her power poured out of her. She felt faint, collasping to her knees, blood pouring from her nose and a horrible headache birthed in her temples. It was horrible, she felt like All Might had decked her...
Thankfully darkness took her and she fainted shortly afterward.
'''
"What were you thinking?" A gruff voice drew her from sleep, pulling her from the darkness...
With a groan she sat up, and saw her adorable brother being scolded by Death Arms... and that pissed her off. 'Who do you think you are to scold Zuzu?' And with that she walked over to her brother, who flinched when he saw her.
"Now, Sissy, be reasonable, I had to help somehOWWWW!" He went flying as she decked him, hard. Cowering in fear, he shook at her wrathful glare, her quirk making her hair flutter.
"You endangered yourself for him? For HIM!" Her voice carried but she didn't care. Her rage needed to be satiated before she exploded, literally. " He's abused you your entire life, he told you to kill yourself just a few hours ago. Saving him doesn't make you a hero, it makes you a martyr." She pulled on her hair, struggling to breathe as she imagined what could have happened. "You could have died, been blown up by Bakugo's explosions, drowned by the sludge or a thousand other things... your utter shithead. What do you think Mom or I would do without you? Huh? Did that even cross your mind?"
Shivering, she turned around and for once had no intentions of even looking at her brother. She marched away, shoving past Death Arms and a smaller Mt. Lady, walking straight over to Bakugo, who didn't move just shook in terror as she approached. As she reached him, she kneeled and whispered in his ear. "You will say thank you, or I will make your suffering last for months. Try me, I dare you."
With that, and tears running down her face, she walked past the idiot crowds and made her way home, unable to function with the horrors of what she just saw.
"""
'I wanted to apologize to All Might, but he was swarmed by interviewers. I didn't wanna interrupt. I can always try to send a message through his website when I get home,' Izuku thought to himself as he walked home. He stopped for a moment, thinking of the rage his sister would unleash on him when he got home. "I've never seen her so angry, my face still hurts... why must she be so scary." He shivered.
"Deku!" Bakugo yelled, running to catch up with him.
"Kacchan?" he asked, confused.
"Listen. I would never ask for a weakling like you to help me. Don't think you can look down on me. Huh? Got that? I was fine by myself... but thank you." Izuku could see the fear in his eyes, he knew Bakugo was terrfied as he was around Inari. She must have threatened him for a thank you. She was the type.
' Kacchan is right, though. It's not like I actually did anything to help today. But... At least I tried. Guess now I should get back to giving up on my dreams.' he thought.
"I am here!" All Might yelled, appearing out of nowhere.
"All Might! Where'd you come from? Uh, how'd you get rid of all those reporters?" Izuku asked.
All Might laughed. "I stand for justice! Not soundbites! because I ... I am all mi..." he said before coughing up blood and transforming back into his skinny form. "Young man. I came here to thank you. And also to discuss your question from earlier."
"Huh?"
"If you hadn't told me about your life... If you hadn't run into the fight... I would've been a worthless bystander watching from the crowd. So thanks, even if that girl demolished the Sludge Villian. She your sister, the one you mentioned was the only one to believe in you?"
He sighed. "And yeah, that's Inari. She's powerful, strong enough that I saw her move even you around with her Quirk. And no, It was my fault he was there, to begin with. I got in the way of your hard work. I wasted your energy. And... not to mention your time."
"I'm not done. You told me you didn't have a power. So when I saw this timid, Quirkless boy try to save a life. It inspired me to act, too. There are stories about every hero how they became great. Most have one thing in common. Their bodies moved before they had a chance to think. Almost on their own. Young man. You too can become a hero," All Might told Midoriya and he felt his chest ache more fiercely then ever before... as finally someone, other then Inari, beleived in his dream. "But I also have to ask... has your sister ever hit you before? She doesn't seem very...stable, she scared the crowd and I am pretty sure the pro heroes."
Izuku sat up, shaking his head. "No, she's usually only like that towards my bullies. She's never been even mad at me... I really have to make it up to her. She's been like my mom and dad, what with my dad actually working overseas and my Mom working full time. She has been protecting me as long as I can remember... I love her, but she is super clingy, and she is wrathful towards anyone that is mean to me, which is basically everyone... sigh...
If I actually become a hero, she will probably interfere with every battle, trying to save me. She's a little... crazy."
;;;
Inari felt her knuckles bleed and bruise as she punched the wall once more, her heart aching as the memories of the day. Of watching Izuku throw himself so needlessly into harms way. Her soul screamed at her, her mind whirled and her body ached. "Why does it hurt so much?" She whispered, hating herself for how little control she had over her... everything. "Why did he risk it all for Bakugo of all people, that piece of human garbage. I should kill him on principle. He's lucky I'm so nice."
Sitting herself down, she looked at her abused hand and sighed. " Shit... mom's not going to be happy... I can blame the Sludge thing I guess." She groaned, putting an arm over her eyes. "Stupid Izuku, why do you want to be a hero, why risk yourself for crowds that will turn on you when you so much as fart the wrong way, fighting villians that will kill you... people that would think so lowly of you for just being Quirkless... you stupid, stupid boy."
She had to calm her breathing as her quirk started to lash out, she could feel it brushing agaisnt her delicate ceiling, her thin glass windows... it would not do if she destroyed her house out of a fit. Besides, she was so worn out it might actually kill her to blast out like that again.
Chapter end, tell me what you think in the reviews.
This was fun to write.
