Hello everyone. I am back with the third chapter of this story. I hope you were waiting for this and that you like it. Please comment if you like. So, umm. We have passed 250 follows in just two chapters. That calls for a celebration, right? That's why this chapter will be one with celebration, reason being that it has blood, gore, and violence. What more does a reader want, right?
Do join my server on discord. There you'll find the latest themes and other content related to the stories I am writing. Also, I try to provide graphic visualization for the stories there. The link is :

It is also present on my profile.
Also, TheFire44 , congratulations, you were the first to comment on the chapter last time. So, you get a spoiler, or a request for the storyline. P.M me to claim your prize.
Another reminder for you guys. This story features a rather cold and ruthless Percy. So, expect some brutal deaths and other stuff. The scene where Percy licks Hyperion's blood is an example of this. I had already informed you guys that this story isn't for the weak willed people, so, read at your own risk. (Not that anything I say is going to stop you from reading this. XD)
Also, fair warning. This chapter contains blood and gore along with some ruthless killing and beating. Read at your own risk. Nothing explicit though.
Now, I know that you don't want to hear me ranting about all this, so I'll just skip to the good part. Happy?
So, let's move to the much awaited battle between the Destroyer and the Titan of Destruction.
I'll address your reviews together in the next chapter. Savvy?
Anyway, let us start today's badassery without any further delays or distractions.
Last Time :
Beside the son of Kronos were two ladies. The two women, who were undoubtedly goddesses, looked exactly like each other. One of them appeared to be in her thirties, while the other was in her early twenties. These ladies were Demeter, goddess of harvest and Persephone, goddess of spring and the queen of the Underworld.
Chiron and Triton turned to Percy in shock and awe. "How did you manage to get Hades to help you, Percy?" The centaur asked him, with the godly son of Poseidon and Amphitrite nodding in curiosity. Percy smirked and replied, "I made a deal with the devil." This left the two immortals shocked and awestruck.
Hades immediately locked eyes with his father and sneered, "Hello father. I would say that it is nice to see you, but frankly it is not. Sorry for not sending any father's day cards to you. You know, because you did absolutely nothing that a good father would do."
Percy had half a mind to start laughing at the thought of Hades sending father's day cards to Kronos. Also at the fact that the gloomy Lord of the Underworld was sassing his father.
"Hades! You fucking brat. How dare you stand against your father?" Kronos screamed angrily.
Hades scoffed and shot back with equal anger, "I would answer your question if I considered you my father. But I do not. So, all you need to know is that this time, I will make sure you actually fade."
Percy was watching the father son shouting match with amusement when he felt someone appear behind him. "Hello, Nico." He spoke amusedly as he heard the young son of Hades stomp on frustration.
"Damnit Percy. How did you even sense me?" Nico asked him.
Percy smirked and shrugged. "A magician never reveals his secrets."
The son of Hades scoffed and shook his head.
Finally, Hades turned to Percy and spoke, "Whatever you do Jackson, father is mine. I think we need to catch up."
Percy nodded and spoke, "He is all yours, milord."
Then the son of Poseidon turned to Triton and spoke, "Brother, try and face Iapetus. Ask Lady Demeter for help. And oh. Come back alive, otherwise Lady Amphitrite will have my head."
Triton nodded and turned to Demeter. Receiving a nod from the goddess of harvest, the prince of Atlantis took his trident and turned to Iapetus.
Percy then turned to Chiron, Thalia and Persephone. "You three try to take on Koios. You should be able to suppress him. Best of luck, pinecone princess."
The daughter of Zeus zapped him lightly for the use of her nickname, but then hugged him and nodded her head. "You too, kelp head."
Finally, the son of Poseidon turned to the demigods and ordered, "You all try to slay as many monsters as possible. We have to show them why they shouldn't mess with us demigods. Victory to demigods!"
The demigods roared in approval and prepared to charge at the monster army.
Satisfied, Percy turned to Perses, the Titan of Destruction and pulled down his visor. "Now, the destroyer will destroy." Saying so, Percy let the insane and ruthless part of his mind take over as he charged towards the Titan of Destruction.
Present Time :
Third Person POV
Satisfied, Percy turned to Perses, the Titan of Destruction and pulled down his visor. "Now, the destroyer will destroy." Saying so, Percy let the insane and ruthless part of his mind take over as he charged towards the Titan of Destruction.
Percy knew that even though the Titan of Destruction was nowhere near Kronos or Iapetus in power, he was actually the most dangerous foe in the battlefield they were currently fighting on. The reason behind this was that there were many buildings and other landmarks beside them, with thousands of mortals sleeping here and there. One large blast of energy from Perses could easily cause a domino effect of destruction throughout his city, which would in turn kill and wound an unfathomably large number of mortals. Also, while Iapetus, Koios and Kronos were not at their full power, while Perses was clearly as near to his prime form as he could, without assuming his true form, that is.
Percy needed to make sure that he kept Perses distracted so that the Titan couldn't use his destruction powers. Even of Perses did use the powers, Percy was sure that he could at least slow and lessen the effect with his Earthshaker powers by separating the land beneath them, not letting Perses' power pass through.
But the main problem was that Percy also knew that Perses was a formidable opponent. After all, the Titan of Destruction was the first General of the Titans. Also, Perses was the first son of Krios and Eurybia, thus inheriting the extraordinary brute strength from Krios. Given that Perses was still not as powerful as Atlas, but Atlas could easily be classified as a freak of nature. The Titan of endurance was a being in a different class. His strength was unmatched throughout the Titan and the Godly reign.
Percy pushed all these thoughts to the back of his mind as he neared the Titan of Destruction. Said Titan was staring right back at him with his menacing red eyes that were very similar to molten lava. The son of Krios hadn't even lifted his club yet as he just kept his cold gaze on the approaching son of the sea god.
Percy reached the Titan and lunged at him. His sword met the Titan's club and he was sent back skidding due to the force. Perses on the other hand, didn't even seem particularly fazed. Running back again, Percy met his opponent's club with Riptide. They traded a few blows with Percy attacking relentlessly. But to the son of Poseidon's utter disbelief, Perses was able to counter each and every strike he made. This went on for five minutes as Percy tried each and every sword move he knew. Even Luke's sword maneuver didn't work against Perses as the Titan simply dropped the club with his right hand and caught it with the left hand before it hit the ground.
Percy knew that due to the curse of Achilles, he was tiring faster than the Titan, who hadn't been affected much. Perses was breathing a little heavier than before, but that was it. He hadn't even broken a sweat. Percy, on the other hand, had to continually dry his shirt as it got drenched due to his sweat.
Taking a few steps back, Percy took deep breaths as he gathered himself for fighting further. A small idea struck his idea as he ran towards the Titan. When he had almost reached, he raised his sword, taking the stance for a diagonal slash to Perses' stomach. The Titan went to defend it with his club, but failed to see through Percy's deceit. Percy immediately brought down his hand and tapped the button on his watch. The watch expanded into his trusty shield that he banged against Perses' club. With Riptide, he bent down and slashed the Titan's Achilles tendon.
For the first time in the duel, the Titan of Destruction roared in pain as he bent down. Percy had deliberately cut off his Achilles tendon, knowing that it would bleed the most. Golden blood covered the Titan's foot as he tried to stop the bleeding. Percy took this time to recover his breath and summoned some water to drench himself with. The water rejuvenated the son of Poseidon as he got in a ready stance. By this time, Perses had managed to slow down the bleeding, but the damage had been done. Percy could see that the Titan was not able to put much weight on the injured leg. It was a matter of a few minutes before his leg would give out. As Perses stood up again, Percy ran forward and jumped at the Titan. Drawing his hand back, he immediately brought it forward with a huge amount of strength. He had expected two outcomes. Either Riptide would stab the Titan, heavily injuring him, or the Titan would deflect his blow. What he did not expect was for Perses to shift just enough to dodge his blow before catching his fist.
Perses gave Percy a death glare. "In all these years, I have prided myself on not having suffered the first blow in any battle. But today, a measly demigod like you managed to hurt me before I hurt you. This hurts my ego. So, now you die for that, you little shit. I will personally deliver your head to my Lord, this I swear upon my honor as the Titan of Destruction." Saying so, Perses pulled Percy towards him with his hand. As the demigod was pulled towards him, Perses hit him with his club as hard as he could. He also infused a significant amount of Destruction power in the punch.
Percy was blown backwards by about thirty feet before he crashed into a building, going straight through the wall. Unimaginable pain filled his body as he struggled to get up. The only two other times that Percy had felt more pain was when he had lifted the sky and bathed in the Styx.
He felt like all his bones were crumbling to dust slowly and painfully. The pain was so excruciating that Percy wasn't even able to emit a sound of pain. A small stream of blood leaked out of Percy's mouth. The red fluid ran down his chin, dripping on the floor as the son of Poseidon slowly managed to get onto his hands and knees.
The stinging pain in his chest immediately confirmed the fact that some of his ribs had shattered due to the hit and the impact. Pulling out the single cube of Ambrosia stored in his pocket, Percy put it into his mouth. The effect was immediate, but not that effective. He could feel the pain subside immediately, but he knew that the Ambrosia hadn't healed his ribs at all. It had just numbed the pain for him, along with stopping the bleeding. Percy was shocked at the damage that a single strike from the twelve foot tall Titan had caused.
He felt a well-known emotion stir in his mind. An emotion that he had suppressed inside his mind to fight better and be a better leader. For the first time since the start of this battle, Perseus Jackson felt fear.
Fear of facing the Titan fighting against him. Fear of his crazy evil grandfather who wanted to destroy his family. Fear of the humongous storm giant that was getting nearer Olympus by the moment. Fear of losing this war to the Titan of Time. And most of all, fear of failing his friends and family, fear of losing them just because he wasn't strong enough to protect them.
'That fear will definitely come true if you don't rise to fight and conquer it, you know.' He heard the rational part of his brain speak. The part that kept him from slipping into complete insanity. Percy knew that it was correct. If he let his fear override him, he would never be able to protect his loved ones. Suddenly, a collage of images passed through his mind. They were the memories of the good times he had spent with his family and friends. He remembered his fifth birthday, when Gabe was out of town and his mom had cooked him a blue chocolate cake. He then remembered his friends and their shared adventures. Finally, he remembered his wise girl, the look on her face when he had kissed her yesterday.
Finally, the dam of emotions inside his heart broke as he gasped loudly. His eyes widened as he felt a newfound strength flow through his body. Grasping the wall beside him for support, Percy managed to slowly stand up. His feet were still wobbly, but he was still able to keep his balance.
About twenty feet ahead of him, Percy saw Perses approaching him slowly. The Titan seemed carefree and it looked like he was having a casual stroll in a garden. In front of Percy's eyes, Perses grabbed a nearby son of Hermes and bashed the demigod into the ground. Hot, bubbling rage filled his mind as Percy saw the dead demigod's blood splatter onto the Titan's face.
He would pay for this. Percy swore to himself that he would give Perses the most brutal death he could think of. Similar to his battle with Hyperion, Percy's eyes narrowed and changed from gentle sea-green to a thundering dark green. His lips curled into a wild snarl as he pulled out his trusty ball-point pen. Uncapping it, he clutched the blade of the sea firmly and growled like a hungry predator about to pounce onto its prey. In his case, the prey was a twelve foot tall Titan with serious ego issues. No matter though, he was going to fall soon.
Gathering his willpower, Percy first took a measured face. His lips curled into a short smirk when he realized that he wasn't having too much problem moving.
A guttural growl escaped Percy's lips as he charged Perses again. The Titan of Destruction seemed surprised that Percy could run after taking the hit, but this didn't deter him from reciprocating the action of his opponent.
The two combatants met midway, sword clashing with a club for the second time that day. It was a comical sight, what with a six feet two tall demigod standing against a twelve foot tall Titan, yet the match was even as the son of Poseidon used every ounce of his strength.
Pulling back the attack, Percy again started to relentlessly strike the Titan with every angle he could think of. So engrossed were they in their fight, that they didn't even notice that the armies around them had stopped fighting to spectate the legendary duel.
Even Kronos and Hades were staring at the fight with interest, having stopped attacking each other to do so. Hades looked worn out, but the body of Luke Castellan was still in pristine condition, other than the torn shirt and disheveled hair.
Not even aware of their surroundings, Perseus and Perses continued to exchange blows at a speed that made it hard for the demigods and monsters to keep up with. As far as anyone could see, it was clearly a stalemate, with neither of the combatants able to break the other's defense.
After a few moments, Percy knew that he had to change tactics if he wanted to win. Percy pulled back and jumped at the Titan. He deflected the Titan's club with Riptide, before bashing the Titan's stomach as hard as he could with his sword hilt. Perses lurched over, the strain on his stomach clearly not something he expected. Taking this opportunity, Percy grabbed the Titan's head with both his hands and brought it down. At the same time, he brought his knee up as fast as he could. Percy's knee made contact with Perses' head as Percy roared loudly. The Titan's head flew backwards as he spit out a huge amount of ichor.
Without wasting a moment, Percy again brought the Titan's head down to his knee. He kept bashing the Titan's face with his knee for a complete minute, till Perses' face was completely disfigured and covered in ichor. Percy's clothes and body weren't much better as he was himself covered head to toe in the Titan's ichor. Satisfied for the moment, Percy let go of Perses' head as the Titan stumbled backwards.
Perses tried to gauge his surroundings, but was horrified to know that his senses had gone numb and he wasn't able to see anything. His head throbbed loudly as blood flowed out of his mouth, nose and forehead. For the first time in his life, Perses felt weak, helpless, and…… afraid. Yes, the Titan of Destruction, first General of the Titans, felt afraid of the demigod standing in front of him. He tried to swing his club in an attempt to hit the son of Poseidon, but missed entirely as the demigod dodged it with practiced expertise.
Percy activated his shield and rolled down onto the floor. He rolled from under the twelve foot being's club. Before Perses could react, Percy slashed his legs with Riptide, while hitting the Titan's stomach with his shield as hard as he could.
Perses fell to the ground, with one of his legs destroyed. The leg had already been bleeding from the earlier wound, but now it hung uselessly from his thigh, not in control of the Titan.
This time, Percy didn't give the Titan any time to recover. Immediately springing on to him, he started to ruthlessly bash the Titan's head with his shield, just like the Titan had done to the poor son of Hermes. Ichor and teeth flew into the air as Percy kept bashing the Titan's face with his shield.
Percy kept relentlessly smashing the Titan in the face with every ounce of his strength, all the while snarling at the twelve foot tall divine being, who had been reduced into a bloody mess in front of him. He had absolutely no intention to grant the Titan even a small sliver of mercy. The Titan had invoked his wrath, he would suffer the consequences.
After a complete minute of repeating this, Percy finally pulled away from the Titan, panting heavily as he stood straight. He glared down at the Titan laying on the ground under him. Perses' face was barely recognizable as his nose had been completely bashed inside, shattered to pieces. His skull had been fractured and even shattered in places, with his lips completely golden with ichor. A waterfall of ichor flowed down his broken nose and mouth. As the Titan opened his mouth for a moment, Percy saw that the entire front of his teeth had broken and fallen off.
Percy felt a small amount of disgust try to enter his heart, but he immediately crushed it under his rage. He would not be disgusted by this, the Titan deserved this. Maybe even worse. As Perses tried to lift his head, Percy kicked his face hard, making it snap backwards as the Titan again fell to the ground.
Moving ahead, Percy straddled the Titan, his legs locking the Titan's hand to the ground. Grabbing the battered Titan by his hair, Percy roughly lifted his head. Perses was barely able to keep his eyes open, with his left eye already swollen shut.
With a cold, venomous voice, Percy spoke, "You see Perses, you may be a minor cause of Destruction, but never forget this. I AM THE FUCKING DESTROYER." Saying so, Percy slammed the Titan's head to the ground with so much force, that the pavement beneath them cracked.
Getting off the Titan, Percy turned around and gazed at his surroundings. Everyone present was horrified, terrified even, at the display of power and brutality he had just shown against the son of Krios and Eurybia. Percy could care less of the horror, but he took great pleasure at the looks of absolute terror present on the faces of the monsters. Even Iapetus and Koios looked wary and nervous at the moment.
Turning to the other side, he saw demigods cowering at his sight. Even the hunters of Artemis were shaking in fear as his gaze drifted to them. Even Chiron looked afraid, which was a sight Percy had never seen before. His half-brother Triton also looked nervous and afraid of Percy, which for some reason, amused Percy to no end. Hades looked stoic, but Percy could see the wariness in those raven black eyes.
Honestly, Percy didn't take any pleasure in causing fear to his comrades, but it made him happy because he knew that he had given Perses what he deserved.
Finally, his eyes drifted to who was undoubtedly the most powerful being present on the battlefield. His eyes narrowed slightly at the small, but unfathomably evil grin that was present on Luke Castellan's face. Kronos hadn't been even slightly affected by this. Percy had a sudden feeling of dread as he recognized that smirk. It was smug. Kronos was planning some kind of wicked plan, and Percy was damn sure he was not going to like it.
A weak, pathetic groan made the son of Poseidon turn his head back to see the fallen Titan. Perses was barely conscious as of now. His eyes were almost closed and he was bleeding all over his face. Snarling again, Percy asked him, "What? Want me to end your misery, eh? Like hell I will. Well, I made a promise to myself about giving you the most brutal death I can. And I am a man of my word. So, say tata to your hand."
As soon as he completed his sentence, Percy cut off Perses' right hand with his celestial bronze xiphos. The Titan didn't even have the strength to scream loudly, as all he could produce was a pathetic silent scream of pain. The amputated Titan barely moved his good hand and clutched Percy's leg, begging him to provide him with the sweet relief of death.
Percy wouldn't have even considered his plea for mercy, but the traitorous rational part of his brain took control for a mere second and pushed forth an image of his mother in his mind. Seeing his mum, the kindest and most loving lady in the entire world, Percy's will faltered as he felt dread.
His mother would not want him to be like this. She had raised him better. She had taught him better than to torture people, even if they were enemies. Sally Jackson would be ashamed of him if she saw him like this.
Percy choked on his breath for a second, not even wanting to imagine making his mother ashamed of him. He would not let his mother be judged badly because of his stupid actions. He had wronged by torturing his enemy, the least he could do to repent was by giving Perses a painless death. He had after all already fulfilled his promise.
Snapping out of his shock, Percy stumbled back a few steps, removing his leg from the Titan's grasp. Shaking his head frantically, he bent down and whispered, "Fine, I will grant you the death you want. But make no mistake, this is not pity or mercy to you. This is just because I know my mom won't approve of what I did and will do otherwise." Saying so, Percy swiftly beheaded the Titan of Destruction with his trusty sword. The last expression that passed the Titan's face was that of relief. Percy gritted his teeth while clenching his fists. The bastard had died relieved, with the peace of knowing that he would feel no more pain. He didn't deserve this. Perses deserved much worse.
Percy saw with gritted teeth as the Titan's body dissolved into golden dust. All that was left behind was the Titan's club, which was actually nothing special. But Percy picked it up anyway and turned to Hades. The Lord of the Underworld understood what Percy was asking for and nodded. The club disappeared from Percy's hand, being transported to the hotel where the demigods had set up their main base.
Percy was going to turn back when he felt a shiver run down his spine. As if on cue, the cruel, menacing voice of Kronos reached his ears. "Jackson! Won't you say hi to your mother and step-father?"
The speed with which Percy turned his head to Kronos would have surely given him a whiplash had he not been carrying the curse of Achilles. His eyes widened in horror and his heart clenched painfully tight inside his chest as he saw the struggling form of his mother and step-father in Koios' hands.
Beside the Titan stood an all too familiar one-eyed son of Nemesis. The traitorous asshole named Ethan Nakamura sneered at him wickedly as he folded his hands.
Of course he had to be the one to do this. Of course Kronos would go after his mother, the most important person in his life, to hurt him. Tears gathered at the corner of his eyes as he saw Koios chuckle evilly while holding his mother and step-father in his grasp.
Percy may not be as close to Paul as he was to his mom, but he couldn't deny that he really liked his step-father. Paul had been more a father to him than Poseidon and Gave combined. Not that Gabe was ever a good step-father.
He turned to glare at the Lord of time, who was still grinning evilly. Putting as much venom into his words as he could, Percy spat out, "This is between us, Kronos. Leave my mother and step-father out of this. They have nothing to do with this."
Kronos laughed loudly, making Percy grit his teeth even tightly. The son of Poseidon was clenching his fists so hard, that blood had started to ooze out from where his nails punctured the skin on his palms.
"Ahhh. My dear grandson, au contraire. I know that you love your mother more than anything else. So, what better way to break the great hero of Olympus than to kill his mother in front of his eyes? What better way to destroy the Destroyer than to make him watch as the life drains out of his mother's eyes. Oh! And as an added bonus, your step-father dies too. Hmm. What do you mortals say? Ahh, yes. 'Not even death can part us.' Well, I must say that I believe in it. So, this man dies with your mother." Kronos laughed wickedly, his voice stinging Percy like a piece of metal scraping against his heart.
"My mother has done nothing to deserve this, Kronos. I know that you hate me and believe, the feeling is mutual. But, don't bring my mum into this, please. I.. I beg you. Leave my mom and Paul." Percy rasped out, suddenly feeling his throat dried up. He was ready to beg for his mother's life. She had given everything for him, and he would do the same for her. Even if he had to beg in front of the person he hated more than anyone else.
"Funny of you to say this now, Perseus. Moments ago, I saw you absolutely destroying one of my best fighters. Now you expect me to just leave your mother? No, Perseus, get rid of your delusions. Learn to accept reality. And reality is often disappointing. Shame that you never really got to say goodbye to your mother." Kronos sneered at him, making Percy fall even deeper into the vast sea of despair looming in his heart.
Kronos turned to face Koios and nodded. "Finish her, brother. Oh, and the pesky male too."
Koios nodded with a grin that was equally sinister to the one Kronos had on his face. He pushed Sally Jackson-Blofis and her husband towards his brother, Iapetus. Iapetus caught them and turned them around to face Koios. The Titan of the North lifted his sword to stab the two mortals.
Percy saw this happening and immediately started to run towards his mother and step-father in order to save them. But as soon as he took three steps, his movements slowed down to a turtle's pace. His eyes widened in shock and horror as he realized that Kronos had used his time powers to slow Percy down. The monster army had meanwhile charged the demigods, nature spirits and the gods.
Percy tried his best to break through the time manipulation, to reach his mom and save her. But his efforts were proven futile as Koios' sword stabbed his step-father in the stomach. Paul screamed in agony before falling to the ground. Percy redoubled his efforts, and felt Kronos' time control over him break for a moment. He ran as fast as he could, but couldn't make it as Koios stabbed Sally Jackson in her stomach.
The two Titans retreated to their king, leaving the two mortals to die on the ground. Koios and Iapetus both had huge smiles on their faces. They had just killed two innocent mortals, why wouldn't they be happy?
Percy reached the spot where his parents lay and immediately got down to his knees. First, he lifted his mother's head and placed it in his lap. With his two hands, he tried to apply pressure on their wounds, trying to slow down the bleeding. The son of Poseidon was losing parts of his mind with each passing second.
"Mom! MOM!! Speak to me. Open your eyes, mother. No. No. No. Please open your eyes, mum."
Turning to Paul, he tried shaking the man's head.
"Hey Paul. Hey man. Wake up please. Come on, open your eyes. Please."
His efforts were futile as Paul took a shuddering breath and then his hands fell limp to his sides. Paul Blofis had moved on from the realm of the living to the land of Erebos.
Tears escaped Percy's eyes as he firmly pressed Paul's hand, hoping and praying to every deity he knew to save the man. But alas, his prayers were unanswered, as his step-father died an untimely death.
A small jerk from his mother's head made Percy's eyes widen. Letting go of Paul's hand, he held his mother's head between his palms. "Mom! Mum, you there? Open your eyes. It's me, Percy. Come on mom. Please don't leave me. P.. Please."
Sally Jackson gasped loudly before opening her eyes slightly. Her eyesight was blurred, but she could make out the figure of her son above her. Tears formed at the corner of her eyes as she realized that this was the last time she would see him.
Using all of her remaining strength, Sally raised her palm and placed it on Percy's cheek. She gently caressed his cheek, wiping away the tears falling from her son's eyes.
With a weak, raspy voice she spoke, "Now that I'm actually dying, I can s..see what they speak about the c..calming embrace. It calms me, Percy. And knowing that Paul and I will be together m...makes it all the better. But you, don't blame yourself for this, b..baby. You couldn't have stopped it. K..know this, Percy. I love you more than anything in the world. You are the best s..son a mother could ask for. You make me proud, honey. Take care. Goodbye, my Little Destroyer."
Saying so, Sally Jackson smiled slightly for a moment, before her body went still and her breathing stopped. The greatest, kindest and most loving woman to have ever walked the world, had just passed away.
Percy's eyes widened as he saw his mother go limp in his hands. There were so many things he wanted to say to her. So many emotions he wanted to convey. But couldn't tell her. Now he would have to live forever with this. Closing his eyes, he let the tears flow freely.
Leaning down, he placed a kiss on his mother's forehead. With his right palm, he closed his mother's eyes, and brought her head to his chest. Clutching her tightly, he let his emotions take over completely. Sucking in a sharp, yet despaired breath, Percy started to speak his heart out.
"Mum. Words can't express the adoration and love that my heart holds for you. I know that I am not the ideal son that a mother would want, yet you loved me unconditionally. You never scolded me even when I really deserved it. Y..you even put up with that disgusting shit just to keep me safe. I love you mom, more than you know. Even more than I know. I hope you at least get the happiness you deserve in Elysium. Goodbye, mom. I will never forget you." Kissing her forehead again, Percy sobbed his heart out. Feeling the pain of losing his mother trying to crush him, Percy turned his head up towards the sky and shouted loudly, trying to lessen his pain and despair.
He jerked up when he felt a hand on his shoulder. Looking up, he saw the teary face of his girlfriend staring down at him. Annabeth sat down on her knees and wrapped her arms around Percy's neck. She pulled his head to her chest, patting his back softly, while whispering words of encouragement and support in his ears.
Percy allowed himself to wallow into the support provided by the warmth of his lover. Hugging her tightly, Percy let the dam of his emotions finally collapse as he started to bawl his eyes out in her chest. Annabeth herself couldn't stop the tears falling from her eyes as she saw the dead body of the lady who was her mother figure.
After five minutes of uncontrollable sobbing, Percy finally snapped. He felt the despair and grief in his heart give way to rage. An untempered flame of rage began to burn in his heart, being fuelled by the immense amount of pain he felt. His stomach churned and he felt a rush of adrenaline through his veins as he lifted his eyes to locate the two Titans and demigod responsible for this. He was unable to locate Nakamura, but his eyes burned with hatred as he saw Koios and Iapetus smiling, enjoying the death and carnage going on around them. They would pay. They would all pay. Percy swore to himself that what he did to Perses would look like a comedy scene in comparison to what he was going to inflict on Koios and Iapetus.
Letting go of Annabeth, Percy slowly stood to his feet and picked his mother's body bridal style. "Hades." The single word escaped his lips, yet the seriousness behind the word was enough to make the god of the Underworld immediately appear to his side. Not even flinching at the sudden arrival of the dark god beside him, Percy silently turned to face his uncle and handed him the body of his mother. Bending down, he picked Paul's body and again faced Hades. "Isles of the Blest, now." Percy spoke in a cold, firm voice.
If it had been any other person that had ordered him, Hades would have been furious and would have immediately incinerated the person. Heck, he wouldn't even have taken orders from his brothers. Yet, after seeing what Perseus had done to Perses, Hades could unhesitatingly claim that he was afraid of his nephew. Nodding, the Lord of the Underworld snapped his fingers, making the two bodies disappear in a black flash.
Percy looked his uncle in the eyes for a few cold moments, before nodding slightly. An unspoken message of appreciation was passed from Percy to Hades through eye contact, to which the Lord of the Underworld tilted his head in understanding.
Done with this, Percy slowly let his despair and sadness part, to reveal the flames of pure hatred and rage that were burning deep inside his shattered soul.
The son of Poseidon could feel the cacophony of raspy, hate filled voices whispering in his ears, urging him to launch himself at the two Titans and tear them apart, limb by limb. However much he tried to drown these whispers, they just kept on increasing, until it came to the point that Percy was about ready to cut his own ears off. He knew that while revenge would be sweet, charging two of the original twelve Titans would mean nothing but death for him. It was even more suicidal than his usual plans.
But the next moment, his will cracked as he saw the victorious smiles on the two Titans' faces. A small tug of lips caused a sinisterly evil smirk to appear on his face. He slowly pulled out the ball-point pen from his pocket and uncapped it. The Titans would pay with their lives for what they did to his mother and step-father. The time for retribution was here.
Getting ready, Percy launched himself into a sprint towards the two Titans, running as fast his two feet could carry him. Along the way, he was an arc of complete destruction as he utterly annihilated any monster that crossed his path. Monster dust flew through the air as Percy began to cut down the vile beasts in his wake.
The son of Poseidon was covered in monster dust from head to toe by the time he managed to reach the two Titans. Iapetus and Koios were waiting for him with their weapons ready, smiling evilly as they stared down at his shorter form.
"Ahh. So you want to reunite with your mother, eh? Well, fine with us, son of Poseidon. Come here and accept your death like a man." Koios mocked Percy, trying to get onto his nerves, but failing terribly as Percy completely ignored him. This caused the Titan of North's anger to flare up as he brandished his sword.
Iapetus, the Titan of Mortality, finally spoke, "You were lucky when we met the last time, demigod. I underestimated you, and paid the price for it. It took me seven months to get back my memory, Jackson. All because of you and those two other weaklings. But now, I will finally get my revenge. You drowned me in the Lethe, right? Well, I will torture you by making you drown in the Acheron for eternity. As you mortals say, Payback is a bitch." The Titan was glaring at Percy all the time.
Percy had not heard a single word that the Titans had uttered out of their mouths. He was solely focused on imagining the feeling of chopping off the heads of the two Titans standing in front of him. He promised himself that he would not die until he avenged his mother. As soon as he sensed that Iapetus had stopped speaking, Percy narrowed his eyes and roared a single word. "DIE."
Raising Riptide, Percy lunged at Iapetus, who was nearer to him. Just as quick as Percy, Iapetus had readied his spear and met Percy's xiphos with his weapon. The two combatants clashed their weapons a few times, before Percy pulled back and charged again.
Reaching the Titan, Percy clashed his sword with Iapetus' spear, before raising his right leg and giving the Titan a Spartan kick to the chest. Iapetus went stumbling backwards while clutching his chest, his eyes as wide as dinner plates. No demigod could possibly have that kind of strength. Not even Heracles would have been able to make an original Titan stumble back with just a kick.
Without wasting a single moment, Percy whipped around and dodged the sword that was headed for his neck. Jerking his hand, he pulled it back and slashed his sword at Koios' leg. The Titan bent down and gasped in pain, before clutching his wound and pressing it to stop the bleeding.
Before Percy could turn back to Iapetus, he was kicked hard in his back, making him fly and fall ten feet ahead of his position. Getting back to his feet immediately, he saw two silver orbs staring at him with intense hatred and some serious killing intent. Well, the feeling was mutual. The two combatants again charged each other, slashing, dodging, deflecting and parrying.
It looked like a perfectly orchestrated sword play, with two professional actors out of a Shakespearean play. Each and every strike was perfectly calculated to cause the most damage to the opponent.
Finally, it was Iapetus who made the first mistake by overextending a spear jab to Percy's gut. Percy took advantage of this and pushed down the spear tip. Stomping on it, Percy brought down his sword onto the body of the spear as hard as he could. Such great was the power behind this strike, that with a loud 'clang', Iapetus' spear broke into two parts.
The palpable shock present on the faces of both combatants turned to horror as they realized what was going to happen now. With a sonic 'Boom', Iapetus' broken symbol of power blasted itself into a million pieces. The amount of power released by the Titanic weapon was so huge, that it sent Percy and Iapetus flying into opposite directions. Koios, who had snuck up on Percy in order to attack his back, was also blown away. Percy's luck shined for the first time as he fell into a nearby water pond, which cushioned his landing and immediately rejuvenated him. Iapetus on the other hand, crashed into a car, completely flattening it. Chunks and pieces of glass pierced the Titan's exposed skin, causing him mild annoyance. Meanwhile, the Titan Lord of the North crashed into a nearby store, breaking the shutter at impact. He finally crashed into some machines kept in the store, dazing him for a moment.
Percy sprang out of the water and immediately locked eyes with Iapetus, who had just managed to remove all the tiny chunks of glass from his body. In a perfect sync, they launched at each other. The son of Poseidon used water to boost him towards the Titan. Meeting midway, Iapetus tried to punch Percy's face, to which the son of Poseidon dodged and slashed the Titan's shoulder. Hissing in pain, Iapetus pulled back and glared at the demigod. "You bloody bastard! You broke my weapon. Now my hatred for you has gone over the top. Prepare to perish, Jackson."
"Yeah. Well, many tried and failed to kill me. What makes you think that you can beat me?" Percy asked Iapetus tauntingly, making it clear that he didn't think the Titan could follow through on his word. This made the son of Ouranos bristle in anger and leap at the son of Poseidon.
Percy easily sidestepped to avoid the mindless right hook that the Titan sent his way. Before Iapetus could retreat, Percy changed his grip on the sword and stabbed the Titan through his stomach.
Iapetus gasped and his eyes widened in horror when he saw the sword lodged deep into his abdomen. Percy immediately kicked the Titan's legs from under him, making Iapetus fall face-first on the ground. This caused Percy's sword to go even deeper inside the Titan's guts, finally piercing it's way out through his back.
Iapetus managed to get back to his knees and hands. The Titan was coughing up buckets full of ichor as he tried to grasp the sword hilt. Seeing this pathetic attempt, Percy slowly leaned down next to the Titan. "Doesn't feel good, does it? Being impaled by a sword."
Seeing the defiance still present in the Titan's eyes, Percy growled and twisted the sword lodged inside the Titan. The pained screams of the Titan, which would have undoubtedly made him cringe, did nothing but satisfy him this time. His thirst for revenge had overpowered his morales. Right now, Percy wouldn't hesitate to do anything if it caused pain to Iapetus and Koios.
Stopping his animalistic growl, Percy roared in the Titan's ear, "That's how my mother felt when you and your brother stabbed a fucking symbol of power into her stomach, you scratchy rabid dog. You should be happy I am not repeatedly stabbing you with the sword like I want to."
Immediately letting go of the Titan, he jerked his head to the left, narrowly avoiding the huge fist that would have definitely hurt like a son of a bitch. Shifting his gaze to see the owner of the hand, Percy Jackson surprisingly let a chuckle of amusement escape his lips.
Koios looked nothing like the proud Titan that he was. He must have landed in a candy shop, because his armour had various coloured candies sticking to it, and so did his face. A red and white patterned candy cane was hanging from the Titan's right ear. The Titan's white hair now had even more colors than a little girl's bedroom wall. In all honesty, Koios now looked more like a bodybuilder dressed as a clown than the proud Titan of the North. Seeing Percy laugh made the Titan's eye twitch. He growled out threateningly, "Shut up, Jackson. Or else…"
He wasn't able to complete it as he was forced to pull back his head to avoid the shield being swung at his face by the son of Poseidon. The next moment, he felt the shield hit his injured leg, making him yelp in pain and get down to one knee.
Percy was going in for another shield attack, when he was forced to defend himself from the incoming powerful punch. He put up the shield to take the brunt impact of the punch, but nevertheless, he was sent skidding back by the sheer force behind the hit.
Before Koios could even attempt to recover, Percy threw his shield at the Titan in Captain America style with all the power he could muster up. The shield was sent spinning in the air like a super-fast frisbee, before it hit Koios in the jaw. The Titan's head snapped sideways, and the shield was rebounded back to Percy. In a full Captain America stunt, Percy jumped into the air, grabbed the shield and again threw it at Koios. This time, the shield hit the Titan in the gut, causing him to hunch over. Without wasting a moment, Percy caught the shield in his left hand, while giving Koios an uppercut with tremendous force behind it.
To both Percy's and Koios' surprise, the Titan was thrown onto his back as he groaned in pain while clutching his jaw. First the shield and then the uppercut. Koios was absolutely sure that his jaw had been dislocated.
Percy on the other hand turned his attention back to Iapetus, who was now bleeding profusely. The Titan was lying in a puddle of his own ichor. Walking up to him, Percy leaned down and spoke coldly, "When you go to Tartarus, tell Hyperion and Perses to fuck themselves."
Speaking so, Percy savagely ripped out Riptide from the Titan's stomach, deliberately twisting it on the way outside. Iapetus gasped out in insufferable pain. His eyes were tinted golden and so was his mouth. Ichor kept flowing from his mouth as he tried to get in some air through his lips.
Deciding to end the Titan's pitiful life, Percy raised his sword and brought it down in a simple slicing motion. The Titan's head was separated from his body, similar to what happened with Perses. Iapetus dissolved into golden dust, leaving behind only the golden puddle that was Iapetus' blood.
Satisfied with himself for killing one of the four people responsible for his mom's death, Percy let out a small sigh before turning back to face the colourful Titan of the North. The fifteen foot tall Titan was slowly starting to stand up. Koios used his hand to clutch a nearby car's bonnet to support him as he rose to his full height.
Turning around, Koios tried to look intimidating and scare the son of Poseidon, but to his horror, he was immediately met with a sword hilt to his face. His jaw completely shattered as his face jerked to his right side. The impact was also enough to give him a whiplash, as he heard his neck crack.
Before he could fully comprehend the whiplash and shattered jaw, he felt his neck being held in two strong arms and with a snap, it was set back correctly. That didn't mean that it didn't hurt like a bitch.
With great difficulty, Koios was finally able to focus back on the son of Poseidon standing in front of him. Managing to spit the ichor gathered in his mouth, Koios glared at Perseus Jackson. He may not like it, but Koios had finally seen why each and every monster in his little brother's army feared this demigod. Honestly, Perseus Jackson was a nightmare for even mighty Titans like him. Now Koios could finally see why his brother Kronos, who was one of the bravest people he knew, feared this demigod.
But an enemy was an enemy. Koios knew that a single strike from the demigod's sword could mean the end of his life. So, he had to play smart. Managing to grin slightly, he taunted Perseus, "Haha. You call yourself a hero, kid. Some hero you are! I literally killed that bitch mother of yours in front of you, while you couldn't do anything about it. Is that what a hero does? No, kid. A hero would save his loved ones at any cost. Tell you what, Perseus, you are no hero. You are just an arrogant little shit who couldn't even save his poor mommy. Hahaha." Koios knew that angering Percy wasn't the best idea, heck it could lead to a very, very brutal death. But he knew that he had only one chance. His palm slowly opened while he was speaking, summoning his symbol of power to him.
In a flash of movement, Koios clutched the sword which had reached him and tried to slash at Percy's neck. But to his utter shock, the demigod acted way faster than him and put his own sword in the way to intercept Koios' sword.
The next moment, Percy swatted his sword away, and stabbed Riptide into his right shoulder, forcing him to drop the sword. Koios screamed as loud as he could, the pain from the stab wound unbearable to him. Percy slowly, painfully twisted the sword inside his shoulder, tearing the muscles and vessels in the already injured shoulder. With a savage roar, Percy pulled his sword to the side.
The sound of tearing flesh and breaking bones was heard as Koios' entire right arm was ripped off his body. Said Titan stared wide-eyed at his shoulder stump, then at his amputated limb, which was still pierced on Percy's sword. That is when the shock gave way to the immeasurable pain that coursed through the Titan. He screamed out as loud as he could, and kept screaming for the next few minutes as tears of pain flowed down his cheeks.
"Isn't this the same limb that stabbed my mother and step-father? You see what happens when you touch someone I love? I fucking rip your arms off, you asshole." Percy spat at the Titan, who was still groaning and whimpering in pain. He removed the amputated Titan limb from his sword and threw it accurately into the nearest dustbin.
Percy narrowed his eyes dangerously and sneered, "Bloody coward! You thought I was so stupid to fall for a trick that I have seen a million times? And then they say that you are the smartest male Titan of the lot. Poor Lady Gaia, having to live with such disappointments for sons. Now, say goodbye to the upper world, Titan. For now you will be spending the next millennium or so in the hellish place called Tartarus."
The next moment, Percy's expression turned around by 180 as he smiled cheerily at the
Titan. "Hope you enjoy the luxury one way journey to Tartarus. Nighty-Night, Koios!"
Saying so, Percy stabbed his sword through Koios' throat. The once mighty and prideful Titan of the North tried to scream, thrash and fight back, but all he could do was let out a silent scream which was more like a choked gasp.
The light dimmed from the son of Ouranos' eyes as his pure white orbs turned to greyish, lifeless balls. Koios' body slowly dissolved into golden dust, leaving Percy alone with his hand clutching his trusty sword tightly. Letting out a heavy breath, Percy turned to a mirror placed outside a shop. He looked like a homeless person on drugs. His armour had torn off the moment Perses had blasted him through the building walls. And now, his navy blue workout shirt was reduced to a mess of dusty rags covering his body. It was scorched and torn in infinite places. Looking downwards, Percy saw that the only part of his attire that was unharmed was his Nike trainers, that were in good condition, other than the golden dust and blood covering them. His jeans had been turned to ripped jeans due to the many claw and weapon slashes.
His face was covered in golden ichor and red blood, giving him a terrifying and awe-inspiring look. His hair was more messed up than ever, even more than the time on Ogygyia.
Sighing, Percy grabbed his shirt at the shoulder and ripped it off his body. Crumbling it up, he tossed it into the dustbin he had thrown Koios' amputated arm in. Now, the Commander of the army of Olympus was left shirtless as he splashed some water on his face and turned around to check the ongoing war.
The son of Poseidon was unsurprised to see that the whole area looked like an Ed Sheeran concert, with everyone running around haywire. It looked like a bunch of Spartans clashing against each other, yelling 'Raarghh'.
For a second, Percy's traitorous mind imagined the sight of Zeus wearing Spartan armour, screaming, "THIS IS SPARTA!". As soon as he imagined this, he cringed and shook his head frantically, desperate to get that image out of his head.
Focusing back onto the battle, Percy couldn't help but let a grin form on his face. The demigod army, along with the gods, was completely annihilating the monsters. Golden dust flew around the area like smoke from a fire. Hellhounds, cyclopes and other monsters were being cut down here and there as the demigods grew confident of their chances at victory. Triton and Persephone fighting beside the demigods dramatically increased their kill rate.
Casting his gaze towards the Titan king, Percy's grin widened as he saw the Lord of time struggling against Hades, Demeter and Chiron. The three immortals were hell-bent on sending their father back to Tartarus.
His pride and happiness was short-lived as he heard a roar that could make even the bravest of fighters piss in their pants. Looking in Kronos' direction, Percy gasped in horror as he saw the wicked smirk playing on his lips. The Titan king sent a blast of golden energy towards his three children, sending the centaur and the goddess of harvest flying back, while Hades was thrown out of his chariot. Fear crept into the demigod's eyes as he recognized that mighty roar. Another roar, this one even louder than the first one, was heard throughout the battlefield. The same roar that still gave him nightmares time and again. The same roar that was the cause of the death of two of his friends. After all, how could he not recognize this? This was the roar of The General.
The next second, his senses tingled rapidly in his mind as he tried to move aside. But, he was proven to be too slow as the next second, he was hit with the force of twenty trucks. The force was felt from above, causing him to be forced down to the ground. Except that the force was so great, that the road cracked under Percy and he was buried down fifteen feet under the ground, causing a crater around them. Percy could feel each and every bone in his body crack because of the force, his body going completely limp. Every bone in his body was broken, his shoulder blades completely shattered. The only reason he was still alive was because his organs were intact. This meant that the being that had caused this was skilled enough to crush all his bones, but still manage to keep him alive.
Drawing all his energy, Percy managed to open his eyes and gasped to see the figure standing over his body. His fears were proven true when he saw the humongous twelve foot tall brute with the golden armour and huge javelin. The strongest Titan to ever live, the most combat-skilled divine being ever. Atlas, the son of Iapetus and Klymene, had arrived.
The Titan General was currently glaring at Percy with pure hatred, nothing else. This made Percy's blood freeze in fear. Only a fool would not be afraid of the Titan General.
The Titan of strength and endurance leaned down and grabbed Percy by his throat. "Ahh. Perseus Jackson, the stupid son of Poseidon. Commander of demigods. I specially forced Prometheus to take my burden for a few days so that I could come and fight you. Or to be more accurate- to kill you. You killed my father, you asshole. Now, you will pay for that with the life of those you hold dear - your friends."
With a jerk, he lifted the son of Poseidon in the air and jumped out of the crater. The land where Atlas landed cracked under his feet. Walking forward, the Titan hoisted Percy high above him, showing the demigod's broken body to his comrades. Atlas took great satisfaction in seeing the look of absolute terror that appeared on the demigods' faces as they saw the state their leader was in.
With his deep, guttural voice, Atlas growled, "See, this is what happens when someone goes against the Titans. In the last war, it took all six of your strongest gods to subdue me and my king. Did you really expect this fool to defeat us? See! Look at his state. Yours will be the same in a few moments. You insects will regret the day you decided to go against us Titans."
As an after show, Atlas smashed the demigod's already battered body into the ground again, causing cracks to appear in the paved road. Then, Atlas slowly walked towards his king, the only being he respected other than his father and mother. All the while, he had a huge smile on his face at the thought of slaying all these little insects called demigods.
Crashing through the building after being clubbed by Perses was nothing compared to the pain Percy was currently in. He could not feel a single part of his body, nor was he able to move a single muscle. The Titan of strength and endurance had definitely done a number on him. And all it took for the Titan was one powerful blow.
Having trouble breathing, Percy closed his eyes and braced himself to feel the cold embrace of death. He had many regrets, but not being able to save his parents and friends from the Titans was above all of them. He was not sure he was qualified to enter Elysium after the things he had done in this war. Heck, he wasn't even sure Elysium would exist if they lost this war. A stray tear made its way down the length of Percy's cheek as Percy finally surrendered against the immeasurable pain in his body, and an even stronger pain in his chest.
"So this is how you want it to end, huh?" A voice spoke in his head. Percy was immensely surprised at this since he had erected enough mental barriers to ensure that not even a Titan could invade his mind without his permission. Whoever this voice belonged to was definitely more powerful than a Titan. And Percy didn't know whether this was good or bad. One thing he could decipher was that the voice was male. Also, it was undoubtedly the most serene and calming sound he had ever heard, even more beautiful and alluring than Aphrodite. It immediately stopped the throbbing in his head.
But what the voice said made him angry. He shot back mentally, 'No I didn't. Of course I didn't want it to end like this. I would love nothing more than to rip Kronos' head off his body, but right now, I am lying limply on the ground with all my bones shattered. So, however much I'd like to change it, I know I can't. It ends this way, whether I want it or not.'
As if on afterthought, he added, 'By the way, who the hell even are you? And how the fuck did you manage to invade my mind?'
The son of Poseidon heard the voice chuckle in his mind. Percy would not admit it, but the sound was easily the most alluring he had ever heard. Like the soft tune of a flute with his favourite song mixed together. It filled him with two feelings he hadn't felt since the war had started - peace and calmness.
The voice again spoke in the same melodious tune, " Firstly, while I do admire the strong mental barriers you have erected around yourself, they cannot stop me. Next, your question of Who I am? Hmm. That is a really good question. One that has been debated about since the beginning of time. The explanation of what I am is something that your brain cannot comprehend, so, I will provide you with the simpler version. I am everything and nothing. I am present, yet absent everywhere. I am everywhere, yet also nowhere. Omnipresent, I believe you humans call it."
Percy didn't know what to say anymore. A being that claimed to be Omnipresent was currently chatting with him in his mind. If the son of Poseidon spoke about this event any other time, he was sure he would be sent on a long vacation to a mental asylum. Also, he knew only one being who was omnipresent.
'Are….are you Chaos?' He asked with equal part nervousness and awe.
Another chuckle from the voice was accompanied by a reply saying, "No. I assure you I am not Chaos. Creation is not one thing I take credit for, child. For now, all you need to know is that some people call me The Destroyer. The original Destroyer, mind you. That's one of the many names I go by."
Percy nodded mentally and asked his next question, 'Not to sound rude, but what the hell are you doing in my mind? If you are another deity asking for a favour, sorry, I can't really help you in this condition. If that's the case, go away and let me die in peace.'
This time, the voice sounded amused as it spoke, "He who is born is destined to die, child. Now you cannot control when you take birth or die, but you can choose the way you die. Ask yourself this, Destroyer; Do you really want to die like this? Giving up and letting your friends suffer? Leaving them alone to face someone that you hate more than anyone else. Do you?"
This got Percy thinking. Was he really so selfish that to escape this pain, he was willing to give up and let his friends suffer? What about his family? His Annabeth? No. He wouldn't give up like this, not until he ripped Kronos apart. 'No. This is definitely not how I am going to die. I won't give up, ever.'
"That is exactly what I wanted to hear, my dear child. Now go ahead and show them what a Destroyer is capable of. Save the ones you love like the hero you are. Avenge your mother." The voice spoke in a tone that did not give away any emotions, just the message.
Percy was about to ask what it was speaking about, when his eyes widened in shock. His body was covered by a dark blue coloured aura. It was an aura he had never felt before, yet strong enough to make even his father look like a weakling. Percy wasn't that surprised by the power emanating off it as the being had claimed to be omnipresent.
What actually surprised Percy was the next series of events. One by one, all the bones in his body started to reform and join together. His shoulder blades healed completely making him let out a groan of pleasure and relief. Percy swore that this healing of his body was the second best sensation he had felt in his life, beaten only by the feeling of reaching his orgasm during his love making with Annabeth the previous day.
In the span of five minutes, Percy felt his body heal completely, including not just the new injuries, but also the ones he had received from Perses and the two other Titans. With a gasp, he immediately sat up and took a few deep breaths. Raising his palm, he wiggled his fingers, checking the control and movement of his hand. To his relief, his body had returned back to functioning. Smiling giddily, he spoke mentally, 'I still don't know who you are, mysterious voice, but thank you very much.'
As he had expected, he got no response from the melodious voice. Shaking his head, he turned around and stared at the battlefield again. The sight of Atlas stabbing three wood nymphs with his massive javelin made unbridled rage and hatred flow through Percy's already burning veins.
Growling like a possessed animal, Percy uncapped Riptide and started to march towards the Titan of strength, ready to rip his arms and legs off his body.
As he neared the rampaging Titan, Percy suddenly started to sprint towards him, slaying every single monster along the way. Before reaching Atlas, he saw a particular Hyperborean giant causing trouble for some satyrs. Percy ran up to the giant and used the ground to boost himself. He jumped as high as he could and lodged his sword into the giant's chest. Not even waiting for the giant to crumble, Percy dropped down to the ground and continued his charge towards Atlas. As he finally neared Atlas, the Titan was still busy fighting the nature spirits.
Taking advantage of the Titan's lack of attention towards him, Percy jumped into the air and punched Atlas in the face as hard as he could. Normally, the punch would have hardly fazed Atlas, but this time, the Titan's head was jerked sideways as golden ichor flew out of his mouth.
Suffice to say that even Percy was shocked at this. But this was only till he noticed the thin blue glow still surrounding him. So, the extremely powerful being who had called himself the Destroyer was helping him fight Atlas. This itself filled Percy with immense confidence for his fight against the Titan General.
To say that Atlas was shocked would be the understatement of the year. He could remember the last time he had bled. It was during the first Titanomachy, when he had been hit by the weapons of the three sons of Kronos at the same time. Being the Titan of endurance, it took three to four times the power required to make him bleed than what would make other Titans bleed.
Turning his head around to see who had hit him so hard, his onyx black eyes widened dramatically as he saw Perseus Jackson standing not even twenty feet away from him.
How was that even possible? He had just broken every bone in the demigod's body. Even if the demigod could be healed, Atlas was sure it would take at least a month, and that too would leave his shoulders crippled.
But the son of Poseidon stood in front of him, somehow completely recovered, without a scratch on him. Also, the demigod had somehow gained super strength, making his punch powerful enough to make the Titan of strength and endurance bleed.
The son of Iapetus and Klymene felt his annoyance hit the peak. This demigod had foiled his plans two times in the last three years. Firstly, the son of Poseidon had managed to trap him back under the sky with the help of that bitchy maiden goddess. And now he was here to foil his plan again. But this time, Atlas wouldn't underestimate this demigod like he did last time. Afterall, said demigod had just killed three of the strongest Titans in the span of an hour.
Banging the edge of his humongous javelin on the ground below, Atlas took great pleasure in hearing the cracking of the ground where his weapon hit it. Scowling at the son of Poseidon standing in front of him, the Titan General spoke, "Looks like the Fates want me to give you an even worse death. Well, who am I to deny the weavers of fate? Come and face your death like a man, Jackson."
For the first time that day, Percy decided to respond to the trash talk of his Titan opponent. "If you think I am going to die in this fight, you are sorely mistaken, Titan. It is me who will dictate the terms of my death, not an asshole like you. Also, I won't just kill you, Atlas. I will extract vengeance. For the two friends of mine that died because of you and your stupid monsters. And my vengeance will make you shiver whenever you think of me. Prepare for being annihilated, you oversized trash can."
Atlas lost his cool immediately and charged the son of Poseidon as fast as he could. Like in anime, the land where Atlas stepped while running cracked under the force of his feet.
Percy stayed still, except for the hand that entered his pocket to grab the pen. As Atlas reached near him, Percy immediately took out the pen from his pocket and uncapped it. With the now elongated Riptide, Percy deflected the furious thrust that the Titan had jabbed at him.
The two combatants met again, with Atlas' javelin trying to get past Percy's celestial bronze xiphos. The Titan knew that the son of Poseidon was almost completely invincible, but sadly, he did not know the point that Perseus was vulnerable at. This meant that the only way to kill the demigod was by using brunt force. A way to harm his heart or brain through a very hard hit.
Percy knew that while he was extremely skilled in combat, he was still nowhere near Atlas' level. As he has thought before, the Titan of strength and endurance was in a league of his own. He needed to play cautiously, pay attention to his opponent and capitalize on his mistakes. Sadly, he had discovered that the super strength that he had while punching Atlas was only a one shot thingy. Now he was back to his normal level, which meant that each strike from Atlas' javelin that he met with his sword sent a shock through his arm.
Not even five minutes into the duel, it was clear that Percy had absolutely no chance of winning a one on one fight with Atlas. The Titan had a response to each and every strike that Percy made. Moreover, the Titan was also unbelievably fast for a being of his size. His strikes were extremely powerful, yet at the same time graceful and as near to perfection as could be attained.
In sheer desperation, Percy even tried to attack the Titan's legs, thinking that the huge being would not be able to defend his legs accurately. But yet again, he was proven wrong as Atlas not only intercepted his strike, but also managed to kick Percy in the chest hard, sending the demigod flying backwards.
The son of Poseidon flew and crashed into a car standing fifteen feet behind them. Groaning in pain, he clutched his chest with his hand. Using his other hand, he slowly stood up and got ready to fight again. Now, he knew that there was no chance in hell he could defeat Atlas. He needed to play dirty.
Running at the Titan, Percy feinted a strike to Atlas' right side, which the Titan read easily and countered the original strike Percy sent at his knees.
A small smirk made its way to Percy's lips as he summoned water from the pond that he had previously landed in. Without letting Atlas notice, Percy tried another strike, this one to Atlas' head.
The Titan raised his hands to block the strike, but was immensely confused to see his hands being restrained by a rope made of water. He could easily break it without an effort, but the surprise from this trick made him react slower than usual.
This opportunity was all Percy needed as he immediately stabbed his sword into Atlas' exposed left arm as hard as he could. Honestly, it felt like trying to stab his sword through ten layers of stainless steel. But the force that Percy had put into the attack was proven to be the winning factor as the sword pierced through the Titan's skin.
Atlas was horrified at the sight of a blade penetrating his arm. During the first Titanomachy, the three sons of Kronos were afraid of engaging him in combat, and thus had used their elemental powers to subdue him. This was the first time that a weapon had actually impaled his hand. His eyes widened in alarm as he saw his golden ichor flowing out of the wound like a waterfall. He had never seen so much of his ichor.
"Raargh" Atlas roared like a wild beast and tore through the water rope binding him. He removed the sword from his wound and threw it away. He then clutched his wound and pressed as hard as he could, trying to slow the bleeding rate.
Percy pulled back, but didn't give Atlas even a moment to reprieve his posture and momentum. Pressing the button on his watch, he held the now elongated shield and bashed Atlas' stomach as hard as he could. The Titan shockingly let out a small 'oof' at the feeling of being hit in the gut by a shield.
The next moment, Atlas felt swords made of water slash his calves, while the shield bashed him hard in the face. The coordinated attacks forced the Titan General to fall on one knee and try to regain his bearings.
Immediately, Atlas felt his head being pulled down swiftly, and only had the time to see the demigod's knee coming up as fast as his head was going down.
Percy's knee hit the Titan's head, snapping it back as Atlas spit out some more ichor. Without wasting a moment, Percy uncapped Riptide and stabbed the Titan in his chest, as deep as he could. Atlas screamed loudly and tried to grab Percy.
Percy knew that the single stab would not be enough to subdue the Titan of endurance. So, he was prepared for the hands that came his way, trying to grab him. He used his shield to bat the arms away, before savagely ripping out the sword from the Titan's chest and cutting off his hands. All this had happened within the span of a minute.
It took a moment for the dazed Atlas to realize that he had been disarmed, literally. He tried to scream again, but his face was bashed hard by the circular shield of the son of Poseidon.
Before Atlas knew it, Percy was holding him by the hair. The son of Poseidon had a glint of insanity in his eyes, making him look absolutely terrifying.
Pulling Atlas closer, Percy sneered, "Look, Atlas. Look well at the condition you are in. And now think of the people you have put through this. Think about Zoë Nightshade, your brave daughter, whom you killed. Let me tell you one thing Atlas. I recently heard a voice saying that we cannot control when we live or die. But you see, I don't believe in it anymore. The reason is, - I will be the one to decide when and how I die. And you know something, I will also be the one to decide how you will die. Trust me Atlas, your death won't be painless and quick like the other four I have killed. No, far from it. You will suffer for a long time, wanting to die, but not able to do so. Each day, you will want to die, but you won't receive death. And I know just the person who can ensure that."
Saying so, Percy closed his eyes and sent a small prayer to Hades. Said god of the Underworld immediately appeared beside him. Turning his head slightly, he nodded at his uncle, receiving a nod in return.
Hades' eyes were as wide as Percy's shield when he saw the state that Atlas was in. He had never seen the Titan General so miserable and hurt. Two stubs hung from his shoulders, with the palms to both the hands missing. His chest was bleeding profusely, and so was his left arm.
Hades could also see the golden ichor flowing out of the Titan's nose and mouth. Even the Lord of the dead cringed a bit at the Titan's condition. It was impossible for him to believe that his sixteen year old nephew, who was revered as the most noble hero, was responsible for Atlas' current condition.
Turning his head, Hades felt a shiver crawl up his body when he saw the look of indifference on Percy's face. The son of Poseidon didn't seem least bit bothered by the torture he had inflicted on Atlas. This was something that truly scared Hades.
That is when Percy met his uncle's eyes and spoke, "Lord Hades, I have a request for you. Atlas here has just made me realize that death is nothing but an escape for him from the pain he is feeling now. If I kill him now, he will eventually reform and trouble us again. So, I believe I have a better solution. I suggest you take him to your realm and hand him to your three torturers to try out new ways of torture on. It would be a fitting punishment for the horrible sins he has committed, right?"
There was a dangerous undertone in the question that he asked Hades in the end, one which Hades thankfully picked up on. A small grin formed on his face as Hades thought of how his torturers would be extremely happy at getting a new, immortal pet toy. Maybe they would stop asking him for the knitting material they wanted and the pay raise.
Nodding, the god spoke, "I believe you are right, nephew. He does deserve a punishment for all his actions. I am sure Alecto, Tisiphone and Megaera will be elated to have him as a subject to test torture techniques."
Percy smirked even wider and turned back to the injured Titan. "See, I am a good man. I saved you from that shitty job of sky bearing, right?" Then he laughed loudly, before handing the still dazed Titan to the god of the Underworld.
Said god grabbed the Titan by his neck and dissolved into the darkness with him.
Satisfied with the punishment he had given Atlas, Percy turned back just in time to see Kronos take advantage of Hades' absence. The Titan king shouted out loudly, creating a barrier to block the demigods and nature spirits inside a golden dome. Percy saw that Kronos had even trapped his monsters in the dome to keep the demigods busy. This left Kronos outside, with just Ethan Nakamura with him.
Percy's blood boiled at the sight of the two people he wanted to kill more than anyone else in the world. He gritted his teeth and clenched his jaw when he saw said Titan locking eyes with him. Even from this far, Percy could see the cruelty and sadism in those golden orbs as the Titan smirked at him wickedly. From beside Kronos, Ethan Nakamura also sneered at the son of Poseidon, making him clench his fists as hard as he could. At first, Percy had thought that Ethan was a good demigod who had been guided by a bad influence, but now he knew that Ethan was just as bad as Kronos, if not worse.
Percy was about to run towards them when he heard someone shout his name from behind him, calling for help. He was honestly surprised that someone had managed to evade Kronos' dome. Without a moment's hesitation, Percy turned around and sprinted towards three of his friends who needed help.
While running towards the three demigods, Percy glanced back and cursed himself when he saw Kronos and Ethan marching towards the Empire State building. Percy knew that he couldn't let Kronos enter Olympus. He needed to help his friends fast and then immediately go after his crazy, evil grandfather to foil his plans for world domination. Sigh. Now he sounded like a wannabe superhero from animated movies.
As he reached the three demigods calling for help, he was pleasantly surprised to see that they were none other than Thalia, Annabeth and Grover. But his surprise quickly turned to rage when he saw that his friends were surrounded by a bunch of enemy demigods and monsters. While the monsters looked at them hungrily, the enemy male demigods had lecherous looks on their faces as they eyed Annabeth and Thalia.
This made Percy's blood boil. Nobody, nobody eyed his girl like that.
Sprinting towards the nearest monster, Percy slashed the hellhound in half with a single strike of his sword. The beast from hell howled in pain before bursting into golden dust. The cyclops standing beside the now dead hellhound was the next to go. As he turned to see what had happened, he was immediately stabbed in the eye with a celestial bronze sword. The cyclops screamed in agony before dissolving into golden dust.
Percy gave the next few monsters quick, but extremely painful deaths. He was done with the twenty or so monsters in less than five minutes. Finally, after stabbing the last giant in the head, Percy slid down the humongous body and turned around to face the three male demigods.
He took a step forward and smirked when he saw the three weaklings step back in fear. Immediately, his smirk turned into a glare as he growled at them, "Nobody looks at my girl like that, get it?"
The three demigods nodded frantically and replied in sync, "Y..yes sir. Sorry."
Percy nodded and signalled for Annabeth and Thalia to come forward. As the ladies reached him, he immediately pulled his girlfriend to his chest and kissed her hard on the lips.
Annabeth squeaked in surprise at the sudden PDA by Percy, but she wasn't complaining. She held his face tightly with her palms before deepening the kiss and thrusting her tongue in his mouth. Their tongues battled for dominance for the next minute or so, before Percy abruptly pulled away.
Turning to his cousin, Percy smirked and nodded. Thalia understood the message delivered by his smirk and returned the gesture. The next moment, three arrows were pierced into the three demigods' genitals.
The three demigods felt the pain a moment later and screamed as loud as they could.
Percy could feel Grover cringe from beside him and smirked. "Good work, pinecone princess." He spoke amusedly.
Thalia bowed her head sarcastically and snarked back, "Thank you, Lord Kelpy."
The two cousins laughed loudly, before Percy stopped abruptly.
Turning serious again, he spoke, "Come on guys. Kronos has entered the Empire State building. We need to go after him."
His friends nodded, though Percy thought he saw a flicker of negative emotions pass Grover's face. Shaking his head, Percy concluded that he must have imagined it. Grover was his best friend. There was no way he could betray him.
Looking at each other, the four heroes nodded and immediately took off towards the Empire State building, with Thalia and Grover leading the way due to their enhanced speeds. Annabeth and Percy were running side by side when the daughter of Athena felt her boyfriend grab her hand in his.
Turning her head slightly, she saw him gazing straight ahead, but eventually glancing at her for a few seconds. After a few seconds, the son of Poseidon spoke, "I know that this is not the right time for this, but I need to get this off my chest. Hff. Here it goes. So, I don't know whether we will survive this final fight. Heck, I am supposed to die fighting Kronos. But, I just want to tell you that I love you. More than your could ever know. Maybe more than even I know. Also, one confession to make, Wise Girl. When I was bathing in the Styx, Achilles told me that I needed someone to bind me to my mortal side. And I hope you know who it was that bound me to the mortal plane."
Annabeth's eyes widened in surprise and her voice choked in her throat. The emotions brewing inside her were threatening to blow out, and it took all of her power to keep them under control. "M..me?" She asked softly, with a hint of giddiness and hope present in her voice.
Percy nodded. "Yes, you. It has always been you."
Annabeth didn't know what to say to this. All her life, none of her loved ones had stayed with her. First, her dad had abandoned her. Then came Luke, who betrayed her. Next was Thalia, as she chose the hunters.
Percy was the only one who had always stayed with her through thick and thin. So, while she was generally afraid of loving people, she was completely sure that loving Percy was the best thing that had happened in her life. She knew that the ever loyal son of Poseidon would never abandon her.
"I love you too, Percy. I have loved you for a fucking year, but your seaweed filled brain never realized. Honestly, while that was endearing, it was also annoying. Glad to see that you have become less oblivious now." Annabeth spoke, groaning in the end.
Percy smirked and decided to poke fun at her. "Oh. I wasn't that oblivious when I brought you to those mind-blowing orgasms yesterday night, right? How many times was it, four? Or five? Yepp. Definitely five." The son of Poseidon laughed when he saw the crimson red blush adorning his lover's cheeks.
Annabeth bit her lip to push away the blush from her cheeks. Gritting her teeth in flustered annoyance, she spoke, "While I would love to talk about the sex we had yesterday night, this is not the time Percy. For now, let's concentrate on saving our parents' asses. We can have these talks later on, Seaweed brain." She spoke humorously.
Percy chuckled in amusement and spoke, "Yepp. That's the Wise Girl I know and love."
The two demigods reached the elevator to the Empire State building, where Thalia and Grover were already waiting for them. The four heroes of Olympus looked at each other and nodded in sync.
A silent, unspoken message was passed through their eyes, accepted by the others.
"The time has come. Let's do it."
Saying so, the four heroes got into the elevator and pressed the button for the six hundredth floor.
Anddd wrappp!

R.I.P Sally Jackson. You will be missed. I really didn't want to kill her, but it was important for the future of the fic.
