When Dio comes to he's in the back room of the tailors.
The old woman was there "Ah you're still alive! That's good!"
Dio sits up with his newly acquired stand behind him "you tried to kill me!" Dio exclaimed at the woman.
The woman puts her hands up and says "hold on!"
The woman points behind Dio at his stand.
"Why don't I tell you about these things called stands?" The old woman said.
Dio said "fine tell me" The woman told Dio about stands "A Stand is an entity psychically generated by its owner, referred to as a Stand User. A stand itself is a visual manifestation of life energy."
Dio said thoughtfully "Tell me more...about these stand abilities." while pondering to himself about the possibilities that lie behind these powers.
The woman replied "Well each stand is specific to each stand user."
Dio speaks "Interesting you could prove useful to me would you like to join me in my journey to defeat the Joestar clan?"
The lady speaks "Let me see what stand you got as each stand is tied to tarot cards."
The lady speaks once more "Also my name is Enya what is your name sir?"
Dio speaks "My name is Dio, nice to meet you Enya."
Enya takes out tarot cards, shuffles the cards and draws the card The World.
Enya speaks "Dio was it? You shall be the one to rule the world with the power of your stand The World. I wish to be by your side as you rule the world, lord Dio."
