Chapter 3: New home of dreams
.
Slowly, Eri woke up, just to find out that she was clinging into something, a loose, long-sleeved shirt used for sleep.
Looking up in her left side positioned position, she met with the same green haired and eyed, larger boy with his freckles (to us his signature look).
"Good morning Eri-chan." greeted her warmly the teen, she quickly found out his left arm held her safely, despite they were in the middle of the bed.
"Good morning Izu." replied the child in reflex, like if he ordered her, although she was still sleepy.
"Would you like to sleep longer?" asked her the boy, he easily figured out her previous life which can't be called as raising, in turn her face somehow formed a thinking look.
"Can I?" she asked him, she was surprised about the fact he just asked her if she wants to do something by herself.
"It's 7 a.m. Yesterday I turned to learn outside of school, I can do this day just by finishing the homework. You can sleep as long you need it." told her the teen, her little head's gears rolled cutely as she thought about the new situation.
"Where are we?" she asked, her face quickly turned into a scared look, the teen replied in two different way: first, he gently caressed her head.
"We are at a place owned by my family, this is the territory called as the Foundry, this is where I made that armor, which was used to save you and to destroy the Shie Hassaikai. There is no Chisaki, no Overhaul, no thugs from that group, they're dead. In fact, Overhaul was the first to die." revealed Izuku to her the truth about the Yakuza group. "You are safe." reassured her the teen and slowly Eri fell asleep again.
An hour later she woke up without being tired, surprisingly, in her eyes at least, the boy was still laying there.
"You didn't leave." she commented.
"Why I would? I preferred to stay." replied Izuku, then he got up from the bed and took the girl to change her clothes.
"I look different." she exclaimed looking at herself in the mirror, in the previous night she was unkept and neglected in the worn out dress, however, at this morning, she saw herself clean, in a light red, long-sleeved nightdress and her hair was also combed. But when did she changed herself?
"Before I put you into the bed, I made you much more better shape to sleep. I bathed you, changed your bandages, I dressed you up into this nightdress." revealed to her the teen.
"But my scars." she was about to cry, when to her surprise, the boy took of his nightshirt and she saw multiple scars on his upper body and on his arms, mostly she spectated his right arm (look just like the Canon after the Sport Festival, but before fight with Muscular there).
"Every scar has a story of its own, they aren't that bad as you might think. That's true, they made you hurt and scarred, or mine made me in my case. However, I used my injuries to learn from them, turning them into experience to get stronger and better. Our scars mean we survived bad things. Scars are not bad at all if we can learn from the mistakes or the incidents made them. Having scars make us stronger, they're the part of life." told her Izuku as he let her touch him to inspecting his scars.
Eri quickly hugged him crying. "Why are you so nice?" asked him more happily but still worriedly.
"My mother taught me to be helpful, nice and I am also naturally kind on my own too." replied to her the boy as he hugged her back gently.
After her tears stopped, she was dressed up into the clothes she chose, the teen had to enforce her to choose by her own, to be more independent, in his mind to be more of a real child. He already made a silent oath of his to give her a good life.
Following their clothes change: Eri was in navy blue, long-sleeved dress and green socks, she also wore a red underwear. On the other side was the young Midoriya in his light green t-shirt, dark green tracksuit and dark blue socks. Both ready to leave their place, the Midori Tower, although they had to do something before that.
In the boy's flat's kitchen he prepared their breakfast, it was simple and healthy: a good way to start a day. Finishing that they went to the entrance's door and took up their footwears, a pair of red sandals and blue trainers respectively.
Leaving the smaller part of the teen's home, they've headed to the elevator, before he could push the button, Eri stopped.
"Is something wrong?" asked her Izuku calmly.
"What's that?" she asked him back about the elevator.
"This is an elevator. With this we can move quickly in a multi-story building." explained to her as they walked in and he added. "If you have a question to ask, ask bravely. I'll answer it."
In their way outside, he was bombarded by questions from the four years old, who asked basically everything, this was a quite challenge to the greenette, despite the fact he is very smart.
'Dear, is this how mom felt when I was in this phase?' thought in himself, clearly sympathizing with his mother, and he answered her questions, all of them, if it needed he explained in a longer form to help her understand. The other people on Nabu Island only saw the walking duo, some of them thought they're siblings. They visited nearly every part of it and Eri-chan didn't stop yet.
'Being isolated from the outside world makes someone to wonder how things work even more as if someone lived around.' thought the boy as he faithfully replied to every question his little company asked, they also held each other hand, although the girl hold him to make sure he won't leave. Not that Izuku ever would leave her.
"How much immortals needed to screw a lightbulb?" asked suddenly someone from the teen.
"How many hundred multi-plied by hundred?" asked Eri-chan at the same time form her protector, she had some trouble to say longer words.
"Ten thousand, it's the result of adding hundred with itself hundred times." replied the boy, before he looked up at a man in a salaryman overall. A mainly green haired, glasses owning man with a smile, next to him stood Izuku's mother.
"That's right." exclaimed the man, then the younger greenette recognized him.
"You're Sir Nighteye! Nice to meet you sir! Hi mom." greeted them the young Midoriya as the little girl hid behind him.
"Nice to meet you. Your mother told me a lot about your drive to be a Hero." replied the man as the boy's mother looked the little, pale gray-blue haired, red eyed and seemingly frightened child, who did try her best to hide herself behind her son.
"Did you find a new little friend?" asked him Inko curiously as Eri tried to look even smaller to be unseen to the adults, not that they knew her tries.
"Oh, she is Eri." introduced Izuku his protectorate as he caressed her head when she peeked out from his back below his left arm. "Eri, they're Sir Nighteye, a Hero and Midoriya Inko, my mother." introduced them to her too.
"She looks a bit pale." commented Sasaki to the boy, seeing the child is too shy to be asked.
"She was locked away from the outside world by Villains and after our meet I saved her from them. She isn't used to meet with new people." told them the teen.
"Do you have any connection to the Vigilante called War Machine?" asked the Pro turning at the serious subject, the yesterday night's debuted, who destroyed the Shie Hassaikai.
"Would you like to meet with him? Why don't we go into the Armory Tower from the Foundry? That's where you can find the person you're looking for." replied Izuku and the four went there.
.
In the Armory Tower the quartet went to the big elevator, that's led them into the Active Armory. This is where Izuku stores the more used suits and they're held similarly like in the movie called Ultimate Avengers 2. However, the ring based hall of armors surrounded the quests like a ring, around them were eighteen, spacy and large capsules to keep a suit in themselves at one hall floor and there are five of these.
Turning around the two newcomer, Eri and Sir Nighteye saw a small and gray suit at first in front of them.
"This is the Agile Aegis Armor Model 1/Vulcanus Line Mark 0, my first suit." Izuku introduced it to them and clapped to rotate the display floor to light up and introduce the other suits, his mother already knew about the armors. A larger, more "Izuku" sized one showed up. "This is the Model 2, first one used to fly." followed by an even larger one with a glass dome. "This fellow is the Model 3, the first underwater capable suit." continued the line an even bigger one. "Model 4, he is Igor, the first heavy lifter in their brethren." then the green suit showed up. "Model 5, probably my ticket into the Hero Course or the Support Course in U.A." told them the young Midoriya and the last one appeared, this one shared the height with Igor, although less bulkier, but the black one's intimidation was a bit negated by its friendly green light from the eyes and the chest of it. "Here is the Model 6, Sir Nighteye, he is War Machine. War Machine, this Hero is Sir Nighteye." introduced the boy his most recent armor to the Pro.
"Honestly, the descriptions are not as good as I thought: the one met with Centipeder had green lights like this one, however, the other one, which eradicated the Shie Hassaikai had red and armed to teeth." blurted out Sasaki.
"Oh. JARVIS, please show off the weaponry." commanded Izuku his AI working in this tower.
"Yes young sir." replied the AI and the Warmaker Line's first representative's weapons got revealed to the guests.
"Missiles, flamethrowers, repulsor weapons, some sonic weapons, rockets, lasers, retractable blades, machine guns, a pair of shock batons, energy shields, grappling hooks, web launchers, a minigun, IMCP or the Ion Missile Cannon Platform and the Proton Cannon. This guy can cause a destruction in the caliber of All Might. However, the latter's physical strength and overall speed can't be matched on the ground by this walking tank." said the boy.
"Great Mother of Quirks!" yelled the analytic man out from the shock as Eri quickly hid behind her protector to Inko's amusement. When the Hero calmed down, he turned serious as he turned to the teen. "Where is the pilot?" he asked.
"Being on auto-pilot does count?" returned the answerer both sarcastically and jokingly.
"I don't get the joke." told him Nighteye.
"I didn't think about my actions when I did the destruction of the Shie Hassaikai." explained Izuku. "With the rage I just went, moved by the flow of it and took Eri here to sleep somewhere. Plus I took care of her appearance before we finally moved into bed. Actually I put her into my bed I laid next to her." revealed to hem the teenager.
"Hold on. Did you save Eri-chan from the Shie Hassaikai?" asked his mother from him.
"Yes, I did. Overhaul used her as a Trigger source for making a Quirk-Destroying Drug and none of the Yakuza group's members did anything against it. She has no family, no knowledge about her and not even a home to return. She was isolated by that maniac from the world, used as a tool and he used his Quirk on her as much as he wanted. You've been heard the rumors about the Drug, I bet you didn't give them enough value and just waited for a big move from them. They were in the prototype state from the temporal models, in half or a whole year and they could start the production of the permanent ones. This was Overhaul's supposed profit to make the Yakuza's return into power. You're one of my favorite Heroes and you've failed her. You. All Might's former Sidekick. I have no interest to answer to your internship offer unless you can earn my forgiveness and Eri-chan's. Especially hers." said the youngest Midoriya.
"Please forgive me. I've made serious mistakes and you, Eri, paid the price for them. Unfortunately I didn't know about Eri-chan's part in this. I can't even get myself to talk with All Might again after this." asked them Nighteye for their forgiveness as he bowed deeply. "I worked hard to take the Shie Hassaikai down and my pride got better on my senses."
"I can forgive you. Your words are sincere and true." replied Izuku as he held out his hand to the man.
"I can forgive you too. You didn't know about me. But you're good to know your limits and mistakes. You can turn your expe-rience to be better." said Eri as she stuttered at the difficult word and she followed the boy's example.
"Thank you." thanked them Sasaki as he accepted their hand. "I hope I can be way much better than this." Inko smiled as she saw the children accepting his apology.
.
As the adults went to handle something important, the teen took Eri to the Mount Shiroyama and she was awed by the view from the castle's highest point, where they, practically, Izuku put up a picnic place for lunch. The boy was worried about her, she didn't smile yet, even after introducing her to his best impression he could make. Finishing their lunch, they spotted some movement behind one of the walls: someone tried to be stealthy and unheard, the problem is, they were known by the pair.
"We know you're there. Would you reveal yourself?" asked Izuku from the wall's "user", in turn just to a boy's head peeked out from their hideout. This kid wore a spiky cap and currently had a grumpy face.
"Nice to meet you." greeted the greenette the newcomer.
"What are you doing here?" asked the child from him.
"I would like to know your presence's motives too, but I'm having a picnic with Eri and I am Izuku.
"Kota and I want to see the Iron Man." revealed the still grumpy looking boy.
"Iron Man?" the Midoriya was surprised, until something clicked to him and played along a bit.
"Who is he?" asked Eri shyly from the boys.
"He has many forms and he saved my parents and he is known to fly around, and I know that from the locals." explained the younger boy in his words.
"But why his name is Iron Man?" turned the girl to her protector.
"Probably because he is a metallic man Eri, a man looks like a robot." told her Izuku, then she pointed at him.
"But you're Iron Man." she said.
"What?" asked Kota, he was surprised.
"Ha, ha, ha." laughed the teen, finishing that he explained. "Okay, that's my fan nickname when I use my suits minus the black one. I believe you might saw the news with Muscular and my heavy-lifting model, called "Igor" by me. Also, I did meet with your parents that day and foiled the Villain's attempt to kill them. However, in the contrary to the rumors, I can't change forms like if they were different modes, because I can only change suits like armors similarly to a knight."
"Prove it." dared him the preteen boy.
"Leave them alone." said suddenly a robotic voice behind the darer and he jumped in his fright before he ran to the pair as a big robot-like blue and gray being followed him slowly.
"Look Kota-kun, this is Igor." introduced the greenette the armor to the kid.
"He said the same line as the one you might do." noticed the child.
"That's a recorded line, I'm still in trouble to make an AI into some of my armors to replace my presence inside them if it necessary." told Izuku to the younglings.
"How did you get those armors?" asked the younger boy from the older.
"I built them." revealed the young Midoriya and suddenly the teen's mother showed up.
"Izuku, I could adopt Eri into our family." she told the good news to her son.
"Awesome!" exclaimed the teen as his mom spotted Kota.
"Nice to meet you Izumi-chan. I've met with your parents looking for you. I am Midoriya Inko, Izuku's mother." introduced herself to the boy.
"Nice to meet you Midoriya-san. I'm Kota." replied the child.
"Uhm. Izu? What did happen with me?" asked suddenly Eri from her savior.
"You're adopted into our family, from now we're siblings. I am your older brother and you are my younger sister. Also, Inko is your mother from the time of adoption. This means a family takes someone into their life, and you're staying with us forever until you want to make yours much later. Is it okay?" explained to her the recently became big brother.
"Is that means I can live with you?" asked again the girl from him.
"Not can, it's happening. From now you live with our family, if you want you can stay with me here in Nabu Island, because I'll prepare to the U.A. Entrance Exam to become a known Hero after graduating from U.A. High School." replied to her Izuku.
"Then you'll be a Quirkless Hero." she blurted out, but she quickly tried to put her hand to her mouth, but her attempt was foiled by the teen.
"Are you Quirkless?" asked Kota from the older boy.
"Yes, I am." answered the greenette before he turned to Eri. "You don't have to do that Eri-chan, being a Quirkless Hero is not a problem. Only other people's view can be troublesome, and I can prove them that I'll be a capable Pro Hero to save lives and stop Villains." told her the young genius.
"Oh, okay." said the little girl.
