I met Percy outside and he showed me the entire Camp...
Through the tour, I asked Percy some questions... Mostly because I honestly had no idea what was going on...
(I should have learned to get used to that feeling...)
At times I looked around in awe, I'd never seen such a place...
All the buildings had unique looks to them...
Percy noticed this and had a nostalgic glint in his sea-green eyes...
He said "I remember when I first came here...It feels like that was almost a lifetime ago... I was Twelve... I watched a Minotaur kill my mom...and then had to get her back from the Underworld... and I beat Ares..."
I backed away a little bit at that... It was honestly kinda scary how a guy this powerful could be so calm and casual about it... (It's something I never understood about Superman, how someone with all that power, use it selflessly, Call me a cynic, but I don't think people are that altrusistic)
I heard a loud horn blowing... "What's that mean" I asked him
He smiled and said "It means Dinner"
We walked to an open air pavilion, a large mass of tables were laid out, Percy walked off to his own table and directed me to a crowded table, a small label said 'Cabin 11' (He explained to me that until I got claimed I'd stay with the Hermes kids in Cabin 11... I decided to go along with it, still a bit intimidated by him)
As I sat down at the table, Most of the Kids looked at me, but went back to talking and eating...
That was fine by me...I was used to being given the cold shoulder
(Ouch! Arachne just hit me, I don't think it was that bad of a pun, Anyway, back to the story)
Unfortunately my seclusion was ruined by an older college age boy... he had a grin that made me want to check my wallet "Hey there, I'm Travis Stole... you the new kid?"
"Yes...and before you ask, I don't know who my godly parent is...other than that she's my mom"
Somehow He'd heard another rumor and he asked me "Did you really kill that kid at the aquarium"
I pretended I didn't hear him and started to eat, but He wouldn't let it drop "Oh really, so you didn't kill him? I heard it was a totally brutal thing you did..."
He continued to talk... "I heard you froze him solid and shattered him to pieces"
I felt a layer of frost begin to coat my fingers... I decided to try and sneak out of the dining pavilion...before I lost control again
I was able to get to the beach... and then I felt the water molecules of the ocean growing colder... I couldn't, I wouldn't Hold it back any more...
I felt the ice shooting out of my hands as I let it go
I shaped the Ice... and I began to sing...
"Let it go!" I sang as the Ice piled up, and took shape... Forming an elegant castle
I couldn't explain how I was doing it... But Somehow I just was... The Castle grew more detailed as I helped it take shape
I don't know why but when I finished I said "Mom... Whoever you are... If you're listening... I hope someday I'll make you proud.. proud enough to notice me... ""My son, I've always been with you"
I felt a hand on my shoulder... It was soft, like a snowflake gently falling... I turned around and saw who the hand belonged to.
She was around 20 years old, with licorice black hair... she had an unnatural beauty about her, although I'd never seen her before, I somehow knew who she was...
"M-mom...?" I asked her, through tears I didn't realize I had been holding back until then.
She nodded as she gave me a hug, but then she said "I'm sorry, But I can't stay for long... I know that It seems like I didn't care about you and your father... but I do... " she then handed me three necklaces... one with a snowflake, one with a spider and another with a snake on it "The one with the Snowflake is yours, and the other two... you'll know who to give them to when the time comes..."
She then flew away in a cloud of snowflakes...
I walked out of the castle and saw a small crowd gathered... I'd been so happy to meet my mother, I'd forgotten all about me sneaking out during dinner, It seems that the rest of the camp had noticed... Percy spoke first... "Wha-How- Did you make that..?"
Then Chiron walked up to me and said cryptically "Just as I predicted... " I looked up and saw a glowing snowflake floating above my head... Chiron then anounced to everyone " Hail, Wulfric Fries, Son of Khione, Goddess of Snow"
