Chapter Synopsis: After casualties mount for Digger One they assault and breach the Sarcophagus Room and receive unexpected help. Captain Arthur Hamilton takes a fireteam of Digger One soldiers to help their new allies. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

June 26, 1998

Sol System, Earth Orbit

Near Sarcophagi Room

1245 hrs. Earth Standard Time

Over the course of thirty minutes Digger One had made significant progress into the enemy ship and taken about fifty percent casualties ranging from lightly wounded to KIA. Captain Arthur Hamilton himself had been injured and taken a glazing shot across his lower face on the right side, he was still fighting but took up a command posture and firing only when necessary. Digger One was engaged with several enemy combatants that were guarding a room to the death. What is different about these combatants is that including the medieval type armour they are wearing a large serpent helmet. The current firefight was being held in a large corridor with the enemy being forty meters in front of Digger One, every ten meters is an alcove that is five meters long, the alcoves to the rear of Digger One was holding the wounded and those that could fire a weapon were guarding the rear while the soldiers that weren't wounded were attacking the serpent combatants. Arthur was in the second alcove from the front next to Private Elena Stone the only remaining Light Squad Weapon Gunner who has been suppressing the serpent combatants.

Arthur took a quick peak at the serpent combatants which cost him another close call with a plasma bolt, seeing that they are clustered together Arthur turned to the two grenadiers next to him, "Foster, Murphy prep two grenades each and be ready," he got a yessir from both and they both started getting read, "Harvey, Irwin, Stone, Rigg covering fire!"

Private Stone who has been firing short bursts started to fire a continuous stream of bullets suppressing the right side of the enemy position while Privates Harvey, Irwin and Rigg started suppressing the left side of the enemy position. Several of the serpent enemies were killed while the remaining took cover in the alcove, with only the occasional bolt coming towards Digger One. Private Foster and Murphy got the go ahead from Arthur, they left the alcove throwing their four grenades towards the enemy and got back in the alcove. As Foster was about to get back into cover, she took a plasma bolt to her back, she fell into Arthur flinched when she hit his wound and let out a "Foster" and placed her on the ground and searched for signs of life. He found faint signs of life. As Private Foster was being placed on the ground the grenades went off.

"Private Parker do you best to keep her alive." He ordered male rifleman who has been doubling as a secondary medic.

Harvey, Irwin, Stone, Rigg Flanagan on me!" He ordered raising his rifle and started moving along the corridor.

As they reached the serpent soldiers, they noticed they weren't moving.

"Two to the chest, make sure their dead." Arthur ordered.

Arthur and the soldiers followed out his order, then they prepped to breach the door, Flanagan put two bricks of C4 onto the door and joined the others that were waiting an in alcove five meters away. Arthur hand signalled a count down from three when Arthur closed his fist Flanagan detonated the C4 forcing the door open. When they breached the room found four human like people with their hands in the air and three dead serpent enemies. The room was about twenty meters long and twenty meters wide, like all the other rooms it was covered in hieroglyphs, there was a large container in the middle of the room, to the left of the container was the three dead serpent enemies with the four human like unknowns in front of the container with their hands in the air and snake like weapons on the ground.

After a quick sweep of the room the privates stated "clear."

Arthur spoke into his radio, "Sergeant Turner get the wounded in here and fortify."

A male voice spoke back, "Sir its Corporal Dry, Sergeant Turner took a bolt to the chest, he didn't make it, we're moving the wounded now."

"Acknowledged, after you get everything situated come and see me." Arthur ordered.

Arthur walked in front of the four individuals looking each of them up and down, they were wearing an Ancient Egyptian type outfit, on their rights hands is some sort of hand device that covers the fingers and spirals up their forearm. There were two female and two male.

One of the female individuals was the first to speak, "I am Rosha, we are your ally in this fig…" She was cut off by Arthur.

"You are attacking my world, killing my soldiers, why should I consider you my ally?" Arthur asked.

"The System Lord Apophis is attacking your world; we are doing our best to stop it. We are of the Tok'ra our goal is to dismantle the System Lords. We can direct you to the Pel'tak and Engine Room allowing you to seize these ships, in return for help." Rosha said.

"Pel'tak?" Arthur asked for clarification.

"The Pel'tak is the command area of the ship."

Arthur stopped looking her directly in the face trying to ascertain whether she is lying or telling the truth. He didn't know where it came from but there is a strong feeling in his gut that said he should trust her.

"Dry," Arthur said which got a look of confusion from Rosha.

"Sir," Corporal Dry relied.

Without breaking eye contact with Rosha Arthur said, "As of right now you are field promoted to Sergeant and assuming the role of Platoon Sergeant, field promote who you need to regain a proper command structure. Keep this room secured and the wounded safe. Privates Harvey, Irwin, Holt and Collins are coming with me, Irwin get yourself a Minimi and you are being field promoted to Lance Corporal and are 2IC for our unit which is being designated Digger One Actual." Arthur got a chorus of yessir. "So Rosha what are you proposing?"

"Two of our companions have been discovered and arrested help us rescue them and guarantee our safe passage of this ship via a ship of our choosing and we will help you take these ships." Rosha proposed.

"I can agree too that under one condition, you carry no weapons, and we hold onto your wrist bands until we part ways." Arthur said to which Rosha nodded.

Rosha turned to face her companions and said, "Zoda, you will direct the Tau'ri on Apophis' Mothership, Cal you will direct the Tau'ri on this Mothership, Kit you will come with me and these Tau'ri to rescue Koram and Mivia."

"Harvey, contact Drop Bear and Huntsman and inform them of incoming intel." Arthur ordered.

Arthur got a radio from one of his fallen soldiers and talked into it, "Digger Two, Emu One this is Digger One Actual over."

"Digger Two Actual receiving. Over."

"Emu One Actual receiving. Over."

"Be advised that we have found a non-hostile faction that is going to provide you with intel. Digger Two you are tasked with securing the bridge, which is called the Pel'tak, Emu One you are tasked with securing the Engine Room. Over." Arthur said receiving a confirmation from both platoons and he handed the radio to the Tok'ra Cal.

After a brief conversion Harvey took the radio pack off and gave it to the Tok'ra Zoda.

Arthur turned towards Rosha and Kit, "You to will be in the middle, Harvey, Irwin take the rear, Holt, Collins take point, move out."

"The enemy of my enemy?" Irwin asked to which Arthur nodded.

June 26, 1998

Brig

1315 hrs. Earth Standard Time

Alongside the Tok'ra, Digger One Actual had made their way towards the Brig where the two Tok'ra Operatives were being held, they found little resistance from enemy and were able to sneak around the patrols using alcoves and storage rooms. In one of these storage rooms Lance Corporal Maddison Irwin asked Rosha about the serpent enemies.

Rosha answered with, "they are called the Jaffa, the Goa'uld turned them into a warrior slave race to use them as their military and enforce their rule throughout the galaxy, the Jaffa also worship the Goa'uld as their Gods two of whom are leading this invasion."

Before Digger One Actual turned the final corner to reach the brig Rosha stopped Arthur and said, "Captain use the Zat'nik'tel it is quieter and more effective, be sure you hit each target twice."

Arthur pulls out a Zat'nik'tel from Irwin's pack, "how do I use it?" he asked.

Rosha pointed to a button on the lower left side, "press here to extend it to prepare to fire," and then pointed to a button on the lower right side, "press here to fire, remember be sure to hit the target at least twice, if you hit the target once you stun them and they feel immense pain, and if you hit a target three times they disintegrate."

Arthur looked at her in confusion, "disintegrate?"

Rosha simply nodded at Arthur. Arthur pressed the activation button and peaked around the corner, finding four Serpent Jaffa firing one shot at each, the Serpent Jaffa were able to get two shots off which hit the wall next to the Arthur before they were incapacitated allowing Arthur to fire another around of shots at each of them killing them.

"Clear, prep for breach," Arthur ordered.

"We can't open it sir we are out of C4," Irwin said as they approached the door.

"Allow me," Rosha said walking over to the door place her hand on a serpent hieroglyphic, "ready."

Digger One Actual stacked up on the door with Collins preparing their last flashbang, Arthur raised his hand with three fingers counting down, when he closed his fist Rosha pressed the hieroglyphic which caused the door to slowly raise. Collins threw the Flashbang under the door, when a bright flash went off the fireteam went in the room quickly killing the two Jaffa. The room is ten meters by ten meters, it's completely empty expect for the four people in it. On the ground reeling from the flashbang was a male and female in the same outfit as Rosha and the other Tok'ra.

The Tok'ra Kit immediately went down towards the two Tok'ra Operatives making sure their ok. After several minutes of the Tok'ra talking among themselves Rosha approached Arthur.

"We need to get these operatives back to our people; they have intel we can't wait to report in."

"Anything you want to share," Arthur asked.

"It doesn't concern the Tau'ri, we will be parting ways here, the others will find their way out when you are victorious, until we meet again captain and hopefully one day we are able to call each other friend." Rosha replied then walked out the door with the other Tok'ra.

"Rosi, you keep calling us Tau'ri what does it mean?"

"It means people of the first world, and it's Rosha."

"See you around Rosi, Digger move out," Arthur ordered while starting to walk back the way they came.

Arthur spoke into his radio, "Tok'ra Cal this is Digger One Actual we are leaving the Brig and need directions to the Pel'tak."

Cal's male voice came through the radio, "this is Cal standby."

Over the course of the next forty minutes Digger One Actual made their way to the Pel'tak avoiding the Jaffa patrols and regrouped with Digger Two.

June 26, 1998

1455 hrs. Earth Standard Time

As Arthur and his fireteam got to the final turn Arthur shouted "Jackfruit," a male voice yelled back "Salak." As Arthur turned the corner he did had his rifle half raised and when he saw Digger Two soldiers he lowered his rifle walking towards them.

The corridor leading to the Pel'tak littered with the dead of Jaffa, some soldiers in Digger Two were wielding the Jaffa Staff Weapons. The Pel'tak was a large room, a throne with the serpent symbol above adorned the back wall, a window gave a clear view of Earth Arthur couldn't help but stop and take in all her beauty. In front of the window was stood a pedestal where Lieutenant General Ryan Palmer, Lieutenant Maddison 'Mads' Ward, the Tok'ra Cal and four soldiers in black uniforms that he didn't recognize and three Jaffa teaching Digger Two how to use Staff Weapons. The wounded were being treated on the right side of the Pel'tak with the dead being kept on the left side of the Pel'tak.

Arthur said to his fireteam, "help with the wounded," and walked over to General Palmer, "sir Digger One Actual reporting."

Ryan looked Arthur up and down hovering for a second on his wounded face before motioning him forward.

Ryan points towards the four soldiers he didn't recognize, "this is SG-1, they are from the United States Air Force."

Arthur took note before looking towards the three Jaffa, "and the enemy sir, why aren't they dead?"

"Their friendlies, that is Master Bra'tac they are helping us fight Apophis' forces, I hope that won't be a problem captain?" Ryan asked out of concern.

"no sir, it's just been a long couple hours." Arthur said trying to resist the exhaustion of the past few hours pass over him. "How goes the progress of securing the ship?"

"Zoda has been sent over to the second mothership to help Drop Bear and Huntsman, Cal here is sealing of the areas of the ship we are occupying and disabling life support in enemy held sections, the downside is he has to wait for the other Tok'ra to depart and has to bypass security systems which is taking longer than he expected." Ryan explained to Arthur.

"How long?" Arthur asked Cal.

"Unknown, we need to hold the Pel'tak until we can bypass the security systems, before Apophis departed he significantly improved the security systems, Captain Carter is helping but it will take several hours at least." As Cal finished speaking weapons fire came from the corridor.

"Is my platoon secured?" Arthur asked out of pure concern.

"They are, they have taken a defensive position in the Sarcophagus Room which is providing an added benefit of healing the wounded and reviving the dead, they will hold." Cal replied.

Arthur looked at Cal the look of confusion very evident on his face, he then looks around at the people around the Command Pedestal. Omega personal have varying degrees of confusion but what Arthur thought to be strange is that SG-1 didn't show any signs of confusion.

Arthur shock his head in disbelief and said, "I'm going to get back to what I understand, if you need me I'll be outside."

Over the course of the next hour and a half Arthur and his fireteam alongside Digger Two defended the Pel'tak, having to fall back from multiple advanced defense positions until they were defending the Pel'tak itself.

"All units this is General Palmer fall back to secured positions immediately."

After everyone was within their respective secured positions Cal vented the atmosphere from the Jaffa held sections of the ship.
