Ten years later. We see Ben helping his father at work. Ben was milking the cow.
lily:Ben.
Ben: Yeah mom?
Lily: Dr. Conors is about to be sent to London.
Ben: Okay.
He then goes to the house. After changing his clothes he ran through the streets. Dodging others that are walking but that is pretty common to the people Because everyone knows his sharp reflexes. he then sees a flyer for you ever defeated bonesaw will earn about 1000$. In gold. Then he was stopped by the local bully Franklin "flash" Montgomery Thompson the sixth and his hired hands. He is the local rich kid who pesters others due to them being commoners. Then next to Ben comes his best friend Ned. Ned is slightly out of shape but thanks to his mother's sewing skills made his clothes that fits him and Ben.
Flash: Oh look it's the freaky peasant and the worthless butler's son. Said Flash being snooty as any nobleman's heir.
Ben rolls his eyes.
Ben: Whatever flash.
Flash: Hmm, boy this commoner is not knowing who their betters are. Teach him a less
Flash then sends his goons.
Ben: oh no. He says as they grab him and Ned.
Afterwards they tossed to an alley with bruises.
Flash: Consider that your lesson. Now I must be off and prepare for the coming ball next week. Farewell peasants. He said leaving with his goons.
Ben: Jerks. He said as him and Ned got up.
Ned: Yeah, but oddly enough it is not a day without flash. When are you going Ben?
Ben: Don't know soon I do plan on asking Cindy to dance with me on the ball. He said as they left the alley.
Ned: Yeah but with Flash there it is going to be next to impossible. On the bright side its masquerade optional from what I heard from my dad. Luckily for you I got some costume ideas for you. Want to see?
Ben: I have to go say goodbye to dr Conors. He said leaving.
Ben runs off to the docks and it looks like he made to see his closest thing to an uncle.
Conors: Ben. He said hugging him.
Ben: I hope your journey goes well. He said being concerned.
Conors: Not to worry my boy. I will be fine and working with Charles Darwin will go great with work.
Sailor: Now is the time for passengers.
They wave each other goodbye some time later Ben and Ned are walking to the street when Ben sees the flyer again but this time the money amount has increased.
Ned: Wow at the rate he is going you could buy a cabin in the woods. Are you OK Ben? He said seeing his friend scratching his wrists.
Ben: Don't know my wrist is always itchy.
Ned then shrugged his shoulders saying
Ned: I heard from a neighbor that if your wrists itch that means fortune is heading your direction.
Ben: Want to hear some legend I heard?
Ned: Yeah.
Ben: The legend of the spider folk.
That got Ned's attention.
Ben: The spider folk we're saviors of all good things. They saved lives and fought evil; they had spider-like powers.
Ned: Honestly this is out there like the tale where the king found his wife but hey who knows.
Ben: Yeah and also I heard spider folk don't get their powers until ten and their wrists start becoming itchy when their powers kick in.
Ned: You don't mean? He said giving both boys a pause.
Ben and Ned: Nah. Then they laughed.
Ned: Hey my mom made a few costumes for the ball. Feel free to visit Ben for now I got to go. See around. He said now leaving
Ben: See ya around Ned. he said going back home.
Once home both ben's parents folded some papers and put on fake smile.
Jack: Hello Ben supper is going to be ready soon so go upstairs ok.
Ben: Ok dad. He then goes up stairs to get changed.
Jack: What are we going to do lily.
Lily: The king understands what we're going through but this is close to impossible.
Jack: How do we make enough money to save the farm?
This gave Ben an idea but he has to wait until night time.
Ben opens his window and runs from the rooftops towards Ned's window.
Ben taps the glass whisper shouting.
Ben: Ned. Nnneed.
Ned: What. He says opening the window.
Ben: I got a plan but to make it work. I need to see your mom's works.
Both boys went down stairs and lit a candle. They looked at the costumes for the ball but none of them are what he is going for until he sees one mannequin wearing a costume that is in the works. (2002 homemade spider man suit.)
Ned: Sorry that one is still-.
Ben: This one that is the one I will use.
Ned: Okay Ben what are you going to do to it.
Ben pulls out the bonesaw poster catching Ned by surprise.
Ned: You're going to try and fight him, are you crazy?
Ben: Ned the kingdom's taxes are going to take my home. This is my only tick to save it. He said looking desperate.
Ned: But still that guy can rip you into a million pieces. He said scared for his friend.
Ben: Ned it's me. I can dodge almost everything. All I need to do is wear him out and go for the kill.
Ned: Ok fine but on one condition I'm coming with you.
Ben: Deal. they both shake on it.
The next night the fight took place at a stable with lines of fighters and customers. Bonesaw throws someone off the ring.
Announcer: And that is another competitor beaten by the reigning champ. BONESAW! He said with the audience cheering and booing. In the crowd is Ned keeping a low profile in the crowd.
Announcer: And the next opponent is. Hey kid what's your name? He whispers to ben.
Ben: The human spider.
Announcer: human spider that's the best you got?
Ben: Yep.
Announcer: That's lame. Then talks to the crowd. The spectacular spider man. The crowd had more boos than cheers.
Ben: That is not my name. He was then shoved into the ring. The mediator steps in between the two.
Mediator: OK fellas I want a good fight anywhere on the body is aloud but no weapons and no going outside the ring do any of them and forfeit. Understood?"
Spiderman: Yeah understood.
Mediator: Okay now fight.
Bonesaw like normal attacks first but thanks to Ben reflexes they miss. After a good amount of swinging Bonesaw loses his patience, grabs Ben by his collar and tosses him in towards his chandelier up above that provides the light. Ben tries to grab the chandelier for life but slips until a certain tug is felt at the tip of Ben's fingertips.
The crowd was amazed by spider man's moves and awestruck that he is holding on up above and not seeing Ben's sticky fingers. Bonesaw, upset, asked if that's allowed and it is which the fighter did not.
Spiderman: It's not against the rules.
Bonesaw: Get down here you pest.
Spiderman: That's a cute outfit did your mommy make it for you.
The grip he had vanished and while falling he put his hand together and performed a twin hammer slam. It connected but Bonesaw dazed but standing. Then bonesaw goes down. The count reached ten and Ben won. The crowd went nuts. Then we cut to the office which is the second floor of the stables where Ben gets his money but it is only half the amount.
Ben: What this is only the half amount I was promised.
Manager: Kid be happy I didn't send you to the authorities for participating in this fight. You only get half thanks to those moves of yours. It is not my problem but meet again in six years and we can talk. Now beat. He says as he blows smoke from his Sikar.
Ben: But I beat the guy.
Manager: It's not my problem.
Ben angrily takes the money and walks to the pulley system elevator. Then a mugger goes in and takes the money and hits the Manager. Just when Ben is about to open the door to leave the stable.
Manager: Stop him. Stop him!
But Ben just lets him go.
Manager: You little shit. Why did you let him go?
Ben: I miss that part where that's my problem asshole.
The manager angrily walks away. Ben and Ned are walking on the street.
Ned: Ben that was amazing.
Ben: Yeah but that jackass of a manager gives me half the money that I need to save the farm. Even if my folks join in that only three quarters pay it off.
Ned: Yeah now what do we do?
Ben: Up to this point? I don't know.
Then the both here a scream and a crow was from a few blocks in the left. Ben and Ned ran to the Location. What they find is Ben's father slowly dying by an arrow in his chest.
Ben: Dad. Dad! He said as he was on the verge of tears.
Jack: Ben with great power comes great responsibility. He then died.
That is when the guards arrived and Ben heard that the man who did this is on his way to the docks. Enraged Ben runs with all his might and somehow by instinct presses two of his inside fingers which shoots a web out his wrist. Thankfully it's dark enough that no one can see that Ben is swinging from building to building but Ben has only one thing on his mind and that is vengeance. He then chases him into a building. Inside the criminal pulls the tarp to reveal a boat that will be used for his escape. His crossbow is loaded and read until he hears a crashing sound. The only light he has is the lamp in his left hand but he cannot see who is here. Ben then grabs him slamming his face against the wall and then the guy tries to attack him with the knife but Ben Dodges it and kicks it to the ceiling. Thanks to the lamp the wood in the warehouse is set on fire but the fight continues. Ben dodges and even dodges the arrow from the crossbow. Ben grabbed his wrist and twisted it out his hands.
Ben: So you plan to kill me like you killed my dad! He then kicks the crook to the light. Ben Takes off his mask.
Crook: please give me a chance.
Ben: Did you give my dad a chance? Did you answer me! He says as he pins him into a wall.
The light in the fire reveals who the crook is and it is the man that he let go. Ben then flashbacks to him letting the crook go.
Ben: What have I done?
Ben lets the man go but thanks to the fire a beam fell down on the crook killing and escaping by swimming out of the warehouse. As Ben was swimming he looked at the buildings and shot a web and a fish saw it and went and told everyone. The news traveled quickly and spoke in different interpretations but one thing is clear that a spider folk lives.
