All Ziva had on her mind was Tony. She was worried. Worried that Tony would never wake up. The whole team was there but her eyes never left the sight of Tony who had yet to wake up.

When the team had to go process the crime scene, Ziva was left alone with the unconscious Tony. She dragged herself out of bed. She painfully limped over to the chair next to Tony's bedside. Not to mention the added burden of her IV pole she had to drag behind her. She slowly and painfully attempted to make her way to Tony. Ker knees bucked under her but she manage to hold herself steady. She lowered herself in the much appreciated chair under her. She sighed as she collapsed into it. She looked at Tony sympathetically but after a few seconds of sympathy, she managed to crack a sweet smile which Tony would have smiled at if he could see it.

"Tony. Wake up." She said simply.

"You are the one that is always saying it is bad to be tardy. Now you cannot even wake up. Tony. I need you to wake up."

When she got the same result, she tried a different approach.

"Tony. I need you awake. I can not live without you. I will die if you do not wake up soon. Tony. Wake up. I can- I can not go on with my life knowing you are not." Ziva originally intended to use sympathy in her voice but without meaning. But it changed when she took his hands in her own and spoke. She completely broke down. Crying into Tony's gown. This was a moment of genuine sadness and grief and the only thing in the entire world that she wanted was for Tony to wake up. She cried. Telling stories and pleading him to wake up.

Tony could hear everything. Everything that McGee, Abby and Gibbs had said to him. But there was one voice in particular that made his heart melt. It was one he loved to hear and missed hearing every time he wasn't hearing it. The voice of Ziva David. Hearing her speak made his body want to wake itself up. His body was so tired. He had never felt this way before. He was so tired that even if Gibbs told him to get up, he wouldn't do it. But when he heard the voice of his... his- Beloved? It made him want to force himself to wake up. But hearing her voice made his mind dance with pleasure. He didn't have much energy to do much else but to give her a small smile and let her know he was ok. He did. He used all the energy he had and he forced his lips to curl upwards.

Ziva was staring into his serene face. He had never looked this peaceful. Ziva had never seen him look the way he did. She thought it was beautiful. Except for the fact that he was sleeping. Ziva preferred him awake. But seeing him at the state he was. Not distressed, peaceful, happy. It made her feel the same way. Her eyes were locked on him. The pain she was once feeling not ten minutes ago was all gone. All she felt was her heart warming in a way she could never explain. Then, she saw him smile. Her eyes twinkled with hope. She felt his fingers twitch and wiggle ever so slightly. But Ziva did not scream for a doctor. No. She just stared upon his face and kept on smiling. Secretly hoping that he would wake right at that very moment to see the everlasting smile on her face. She waited. She knew the moment she longed for was coming. She waited for very slow seconds. Then. His eyes opened. Ziva smiled like never before.

"Tony." She sighed.

He just stared at her also with a 1000 watt grin plastered to his face.

Ziva gave him a tender kiss on the cheek before finally calling for a doctor from her chair. Now that her mind was back into reality, the pain was coming back.

The doctors ran in. One after another. There were about four nurses.

"Hey! You're not supposed to be out of bed?" A mean old nurse growled.

Ziva just gave her a guilty look.

"Get back into bed!" She barked.

"Hey. Hey. It's ok." Brad patted the nurse on the shoulder.

"Don't stand Ziva. Just stay here. I have no idea how you even managed to make it all the way here but I don't want you to hurt yourself anymore." Brad instructed.

The doctors and nurses did the full check up on Tony and then gave him some sort of medication before offering Ziva some pain medication which she politely declined.

Once they all left she reached over to the phone on Tony's bedside and called Gibbs.

"Yeah. Gibbs."

"Hello Gibbs."

"Ziver? Somethn wrong?"

"No. Tony woke up. He is fine but I thought you might want to know."

"Well. Yeah Ziva. I'm on my way." He hung up.

Gibbs walked into the room and he brought Abby with him.

"Toooonnnneeeeeyyyy!" Abby squealed. She ran as fast as she could up to him and gave him a gentle hug.

"Hi DiNozzo. Nice of ya to finally join us."

"Hi Boss. Hi Abby." He smiled.

Then Gibbs and Abby turned their attention towards Ziva. Abby gave her a questionable look.

"Wait. Ziva? How did you..." She frowned.

"Ziva. What were you thinking? Now you won't be able to get back to bed." Now Ziva was the one giving Gibbs the questionable look.

"How did you know?"

"Brad Pitt told me." He smirked.

She sighed.

Days past and Ziva was finally allowed to go home. After much protest, she finally let Ducky take her home for a week.

However Tony still remained in the tiny, uncomfortable hospital bed.
