Chapter 3: Demonic Sword vs Plague
"I'm sorry Garga…" Yuga runs outside while holding his deck core case and was intercepted by someone in a black coat it was the 5th person that was in the mission of retrieving Yuga
"Found you…" The back coat person said
"That voice the same as my dream…" Yuga looked closely at the person
"It would be a waste to just hand you to the empress let me see your power…" That person pulled out something like a subspace cube
"Transport reality…" They suddenly disappear from there and they are transported somewhere in the buddy tower and it seems that a buddy stage is set
"Where is your buddy?" The person asked as he open his hood to reveal a boy with glowing yellow eyes and red spiky hair
"I didn't bring him…" Yuga said
"What a coincidence I was dragged to this mess without my buddy why don't we use the temporary buddy system if you would like…" The boy said calmly
"Temporary Buddy system on!"
Both of them shouted as they uses their deck at the moment to pick a buddy
"Why are all of you after me?" Yuga asked
"Beats me but I'm not after you just because of your role… Making a deal with the lost is normal…" The boy speaks calmly like this is not a rare occurance
"I am the Sword Sage, a thousand legends born of ten thousand battlefields! The strongest swordsman bears a million demonic swords! Luminize! Lord of Sabers!"
"Gather forth, death plague demons that infect the world's potential. Proliferate your incurable curses! Luminize! World of Closed Potential!"

"Go ahead…" The boy said

"I equip Sword of the King Scabbard, Surtr Cross and activate it's ability to bring out my Laevantinn to my hand and buddy call…" Yuga buddy calls Laevantinn from his hand after searching for it (YugaLife: 10 - 11)
"The original Laevantinn huh…" The boy looks calmly
"Stand by and attack.."
"Let's go laevantinn!" Yuga attack with Laevantin dealing 2 damage and ends his turn
"The damage feels nostalgic…" The boy said as he starts his turn
"Draw then charge and draw to start I equip Scholarly Tome of Death, Aneotomy by paying 1 life." (Apollo: Life: 8 to 7)
"Death Plague Caster Varricelur right call.."
"It seems I am needed again what is going on Apollo?" Varricelur look at his buddyfighter
"My ability venom bubble I put the top 3 card from the deck and which plague card would you like?" The monster called asked to him
"As usual Great Spell, Incubation Period."
"As I thought so…"
The two exchanged glare as Apollo just smiled
"Cast Great spell incubation period this let's me put two plague spell from my deck into the soul of my item." Apollo explained the spell he uses
"Death plague Rubellurs to the center.."
"Due to Rubellurs ability I add one card from the drop that has plague in it's name to my item's soul."
"Then I activate my item ability to add a plague spell to my item soul (Soul: 4) (Apollo: Life: 7 to 8)
"And then as a parting gift I cast Great spell, Latent infection both our life goes up by 5…"
(Apollo: Life: 8 to 13)
(Yuga: Life: 11 to16)
"That soul has a bad vibe to me I better clear up next turn…" Yuga thought
"Draw then charge and draw!"
"Demonic Sword of the king! Laevantinn! Overkill!"
"Sword skill: Liberation by paying 1 gauge my master can equip 3 items from the 5 with no cost."
"Sword of the king, Excalibur, Sword of the king Durandal and Exhacs Replica and then heroic tale I add 4 more gauge. I equip Caladabolg replica 2 and 2 Armas Replica…" Yuga equips the rest of his hands
"8 sword style huh amazing… but…" Apollo thought

"Cast contagion Gel I decrease Excalibur critical by 1 and your exhacs attack is nullified
"Second attack!" Yuga destroyed the center
"Excalibur!" (Apollo: 13 to 9)

Yuga attacks again decreasing more of Apollo's life surtr cross!"
"Now I'll link attack with both of my armas!"
(Apollo: 9 to 6)
"I'll go and attack with my caladabolg!"
"Cast 2nd contagion gel and laevantinn gets the minus crit…" Apollo smiled
"My laevantinn and caladabolg will attack!" Yuga almost depleted apollo's life into 2 but that isn't enough
"Interesting… You are skilled in using laevantinn despite rarely using it…" Apollo applauds Yuga
"Don't get it wrong…. It's more likely because I admire him…" Yuga said
Flashback
"Dad.. Dad… Woah he is cool!" Yuga shouted as he watch a buddyfight along with his dad on tv…
"You like swords and flashy stuff?" Gao asked
"Yeah…" Yuga nodded
"Then one day I'll let you meet him his name is Keisetsu." Gao smiled as Yuga eyes is glimmering at the time he didn't know buddyfight just the motion he isn't that quite fond of the rule until his first fight with garga
End of flashback
"Admiration is a nice thing you can even use legend world nicely that is what I call dedication but is it enough?" Apollo begins to wonder as he asked Yuga
"At the beginning of my turn I draw by using my item effect then charge and draw… Admiration can be a dangerous thing the reason why I use this archetype is nothing special… Plague was my first ever deck given by my mentor… I practice it so one day I can follow in his footstep but fate has other thing in store and my mentor stop buddyfighting to serve his master in the wisdom clan…" Apollo explain that he was once an apprentice to Grimoire but soon strip off from it after he learns that there is nothing much he can do there
"Let's continue before I chatter much I activate my item's ability as I add a card to my item soul and adds 1 to my life (Apollo: Life: 2 - 3) and then I call on Rubellurs to the left and add one more plague card." He smiled
"Why is he adding so much soul?" Yuga thought as he then realize the plague deck true terror
"Let me introduce you to my old buddy center buddy call Ashlen Death Sorcery, Yersineas."
A giant man in robe appeared his appearance can be called disgusting but it hides it's true power
"It has been a long time apollo and it seems someone is using laevantinn both of you are using the system huh?" Yersinias asked as he appeared to the center
"More or less…" Apollo said
"But enough of that now them to me your agony, your pain and that face of despair in front of me…" Yersinias talks calmly as he looked at Yuga
"Yersinias effect I can activate a card from his soul and I choose the great spell incubation period.." Apollo shown his item which has 8 souls
"His soul is 8 and yersinias is on the field don't tell me!" Yuga now knows what apollo is planning but it's too late for him to react
"Ashen Death Sorcery, Yersinias Overkill!"
"By paying 2 of my life I add 6 cards from my deck to the gauge…"
"So this is the boy that has been chosen by the empress time to show him despair a condition where he knows he can't fight back…" Yersineas said
"Cast! Ultimate Great Spell! World Pandemic!"
"Behold the world as you know is now closed off rob all light from this world."
Yersinias talks as Apollo activate the spell
"The spell that is feared by most buddyfighters if it goes off world pandemic by having 6 gauge… My fate was sealed the moment the item reach 4 souls huh.." Yuga puts on a weak smile
"Close The Flag!"
"In the end I can't finish you off on the last turn…" Yuga said as all of his items are destroyed in one go due to the flag
"Now enjoy your dose of despair…" Apollo said
"Rubellus, Yersinias and Varicellur go and link attack on the ace of games!"
"Deadly virus!"
"Toxic Bubble!"
"Yersineas has a second attack…"
The attack went through and Apollo ends his turn (Yuga: Life: 16 to 10)
"There is nothing I can do…" Yuga draws a card and pass his turn as Apollo starts his turn again decreasing Yuga's life by the onslaught of attacks (Yuga Life: 10 4)
"So this is what it feels to be strip away of all you had…" Yuga said as he sense the feeling of despaired and hated the fact that this happens
"Let's talk a bit more… cast Latent infection it refresh our lifes by 5…"
(Yuga: Life: 4 to 9)
(Apollo: Life: 2 to 7)
"Who is this empress?" Yuga asked in desperation he can feel his body is taking a toll from the fight before
"You know who she is Ace of Games… You know her very well…" Apollo spelled out the empress real name as it didn't cause a sound from the look of it Yuga looks mortified and his body suddenly felt weaken a lot more from the emotional pressure
"Time to end this…" The last attack is struck as Yersineas attacks on the next round over reducing Yuga's life to 0
As the fight is over apollo heard footsteps and conjure a portal as Yuga barely standing wants to halts him
"Wa-!" Yuga tried to stop him but he disappeared into the portal as he loses his consciousness
Meanwhile at the Buddyfight HQ
"They are fighting off in a similar monster as Ranma…" Subaru said to Tasuku
"So this still has something to do with lost world what do you think Jack?" Tasuku asked
"I am trying to get the info needed but if they are targeting Yuga then this isn't a simple matter." Jack said
"Does things like this happen?" Cross asked
"It isn't quite rare than you think but now targeting a buddyfighter this similar incident also happen during the Yamigedo Outbreak." Tasuku sighed recalling the past
"what is exactly the yamigedo outbreak?" Masato asked
"Sir reporting in…" Sophia appeared from outside going in she is wearing a buddy police outfit acting as Tasuku's secretary
"What report do you have?" Tasuku asked
"We found Mikado Yuga inside the buddy tower he seems badly bruised other than that the mysterious silhouette disappear in an instance nowhere to be found." Sophia said
"Thank you for the report Sophia…" Tasuku smiled
" no problem… just don't forget your promise…" Sophia whispered to him
"I will…" Tasuku nodded
"we also found Kakogawa Ranma before we found Mikado Yuga as well it was his buddy that brought him to us." Sophia said
"Very well are there any other reports?" Tasuku asked
"No…" Sophia said
"Good job… You may leave…" Tasuku said
"Who is she?" Masato asked
"She is Sophia Sakharov former ally of Gaen Kyoya and my wife…" Tasuku said
"Why didn't we see him all of the time?" Agito asked
"She is looking out for other branches but recently freed from her duty back to my secretary…" Tasuku smiled
"Mom is always well mannered." Subaru said
"That is your mom?!" Masato and Agito seemed to be in shock
"To be exact my step mom." Subaru sighed
"I was the one that take care of him from child." Tasuku said
"But they are so busy with work I rarely saw them so no one really know…" Subaru sighed
"Do you mean your family?" Masato asked
"I don't really want to talk about it Masato…" Subaru glared at Masato
"Let's check on Yuga shall we?" Tasuku asked to both Masato and Subaru as both of them nodded
Meanwhile somewhere in an unknown part of the dragon world
"We were waiting for you apollo where have you been?" The one with the hybrid star dragon world asked
"Sorry I was having a lot of fun." Apollo laughed
"What do you think of him?" The one called the mistress asked
"He is as Vanity Lost Sword describe on his entry but he isn't ripe just yet…" Apollo answered based on his analysis on his end
"May I ask do you know him aside from Vanity Lost Sword journal? When I recall your name to him he is in a state of shock…" He said
"No…" The empress answered
"Sorry I'm late…" The sixth person appeared out of nowhere missing the mission
"Glad for you to join us…. Not…" The one with a distorted version lookalike of battz said
"I was busy cleaning up your work you and star head over there really make a mess in the buddy tower I also erase footage of apollo entering the buddy tower you really made a mess…" The sixth person said
"I'm sorry to cause you trouble…" The empress said
"Apollo you really scarred that ace of games and using Yersineas of all things.." The sixth person said as he watched the footage of Apollo's match
"I was only having fun I only put him to his place and that is reality…" Apollo looked calmly as there were a heated motion between them
"That is enough both of you!" The empress shouted
"Ehm now to other agenda's…" She sighed as the meeting continues
Meanwhile at the buddy hospital right in the infirmary Light is monitoring Yuga before he went out to get some air and by a glimpse look Yuga's deck core case becomes darker in the table beside his bed
