It's been roughly bit over a week since I appeared in One Piece, I hardly got any breaks from training, but when I did it was either to regenerate HP/SP, sate my Greed sin or eat. The one time I did stop for a longer time, I bought some furniture for the house- a bed, wardrobe, a small table and a chair, all crafted by the local carpenter. The moment I came in the village to get the furniture, I felt as if I was being watched. With my nervousness I observed every human in the vincinity, most had -5 reputation, some lower. That was unnerving, maybe Earl's doing? - I thought, it's the most probable option.
So I trained more to supress that feeling, but I didn't get that much stronger- it's a little underwhelming actually, considering how many of these bone dickheads I've killed. But as I kept track of my level, stats and class I noticed that it didn't slow down, that there's no level scaling.
There is no level scaling.
Every level costs the same amount of EXP.
Voruo
Level - 25
Class - Pyromancer - LVL 11 [58%]
Race - High Elf
Rank - Mortal
Allignment - Chaotic Evil
HP - 330 [66 per minute]
MP - 15900 [1536 per minute]
SP - 670 [134 per minute]
STR - 7
END - 33
DEX - 68
INT - 265
WIS - 224
CHA - 47
LUK - 286
MP Regen = WIS X 16
MP = INT X 60 (30 X 2 - Greater Magic Pool)
SP = (END + DEX : 2) X 10
SP Regen = (END + DEX : 2) X 2
HP = END X 10
HP Regen = END X 2
I noticed I can't change my LUK stat which is annoying, but it explains why one of the rewards on [Where's Your Author Now] is +1 luck. Other than that, it should be enough that I could probablydefeat the Earl, if there was nothing else to know about him. It's possible he has eaten a devil fruit, and there's also his crew, they won't just stand by and let their leader die.
Besides I decided that before I attack anyone, I must be sure I can one shot them, with that I made some new spells. Sadly nothing as powerful as Hell's Spear, but close.
[Hell's Flame]
Costs 70MP per second, every additional Flames adds +50% to the cost.
You need to use minimum [Flames]X10 to cast this spell. Every [Flames] cast after that gives +10% Fire Damage.
By casting [Flames] repeatedly you create a concencrated white-hot flame beam version of the attack.
Deals 85 Fire Damage per second + 70 Burn Damage*
*Over the span of 3 seconds after cancelling the attack
Radiates an aura of heat, dealing 5 Burn damage per second to all living beings in the radius of 2 meters except the Gamer.
I tried recreating one of the rokushiki techniques, but ended up with a glorified plasma cutter. It is strong of course, but I'm sure the real deal would be way more powerful.
[Hell's Shigan]
Costs 70MP per second, every additional Flames adds +75% to the cost
By casting [Flames] repeatedly from your finger, you create a short, concencrated white-hot fire beam, which is great for cutting stuff, has the potential to deal a lot of damage if you aim for vital areas.
You need to use minimum [Flames]X7 to cast this spell. Every [Flames] cast after that gives +25% cutting power, +20% Fire Damage.
The damage stacks if you use more fingers, but the cost multiplies.
Deals 20 to 220 Fire Damage depending on the stab + 20 Burn Damage*
*Over the span of 2 seconds after cancelling the attack
Radiates an aura of heat, dealing 10 Burn damage per second to all living beings in the radius of 1 meter except the Gamer.
[Hell's Sphere]
Costs 400MP including the cost of [Flames]X20. Additional [Flames] adds +25% to the cost.
You need to use minimum [Flames]X20 to cast this spell. Every [Flames] cast after that gives +10% Fire Damage.
By repeatedly casting [Flames] in closed hands, you create a ball of white hot flames.
You can control its flight with your mind. 50MP per meter of flight, every turn drains 100MP.
Its max speed is [INT]km/h.
Blows up when connects to something that isn't the Gamer.
If caught a target in its 8 meter blast radius, deals 80 Fire Damage + 50 Burn Damage*
*Over the span of 4 seconds
Direct hit deals 220 Fire damage + 70 Burn Damage*
*Over the span of 2 seconds
Radiates an aura of heat, dealing 7 Burn damage per second to all living beings in the radius of 4 meters except the Gamer.
"Hell's" is apparently a group, if there are counterparts to all normal spells, then I have yet to discover the better versions of Wall of Flames and Ignite Target, maybe some others that I don't remember at the moment. When I get the upgraded Ignite Target what would happen if I cast that spell, would it become a tier higher than "Hell's"? Or just give a greater boost to the spell? How powerful attacks would a Hell's Ignite Target birth? And most important, can I do this infinitely? Can I upgrade what comes after "Hell's", and even after that? Have I found some kind of loophole in the system? Not like I'm complaining...
It's an auto-generated mechanic, they generally balance out. This seems like it would exponentially increase the MP cost, you can even see that here- Hell's Flames costs 70MP per second and every additional Flames adds +50% to the cost, meanwhile normal Flames costs a measly 10MP per second.
I don't think the cost is a problem. I have much more than 10.000MP now, bless the High Elf bonus.
[High Elf]
A race from the game Skyrim, they make good mages.
MP tripled.
MP Regen octupled.
+5 WIS per level
+10 INT per level
Yeah, I don't have to worry about my mana running out. Unless of course I spam the most draining spells, but that's not a problem as my MP regen is incredible as well.
I noticed that the dungeon loot always consists of one item, exept the EXP. However that doesn't mean I get low level things, my Luck stat still affects the loot.
[Ring of Vitality]
Increases your HP by
[all stats combined] : 1000 = 0,7
0,7%
2HP
Tip: The price increases the more health this item gives to the wearer.
For example- If you sold it to The Presence, you would get about $973 Vigintillion (that is an actual number)
Price: 30,002 Beri
It's the only item that can become overpowered with time. The other ones weren't that weak either, but not enough to be worth noting.
This item is not that useful to me now, as it only increases health by 2. However as I get stronger and my stats reach the thousands, millions, billions- it'll be my best bet on not getting killed by random weaklings, and I won't have to spend points on END anymore. I'll start wearing it when it increases more than 10HP, any less than that and it's too small of an increase.
I tried enhancing my chainmail with Ignite Target, but I should have known that wasn't the greatest idea. The temperature of the metal wasn't directly created by me, so it affected my body. It was a traumatic experience to wear a kind of red-hot metal shirt, it was even worse than having my hand amputated. I of course healed very quickly, but the cursed experience stayed. Thankfully Gamer's Mind made me forget how painful it exactly was, but that wasn't enough to stop me from flinching every time I put my chainmail on for the Dungeon.
I got perks for reaching 100 INT and 100 WIS.
[Smartest Person in the Room] [Active]
If your INT is 5x higher than the target's INT, you will be able to learn anything they are best at in an instant- and be as good as them at it.
You may only use this skill once per day.
The skill does not affect personality.
Costs 1000MP
[Seer's Wisdom] [Active]
Peer into the future, to an important event that may occur to you.
You may only use this skill once per month.
Costs 100% of MP, 99% of HP and SP
Slows down your HP/SP/MP Regeneration from [amount] per minute to [amount] per hour until you heal back to 100%.
The skill does not affect personality, however it may change the feelings you felt at the moment.
The last sentence of the description worried me a bit, is Game implying that there are things that could affect who I am, even with Sociopath and Gamer's Mind? The first one might be useful to have in the future, though it's a similar situation as with Ring of Vitality, it'll work only on normal people for now. The second one, I won't use until I'm sure I'll survive being so vulnerable. Not now, as I wouldn't be able to train for a day, even if I probably won't die.
Hopefully perks like this aren't every 1000 points, I don't want to wait so long to get another INT perk... Whatever. On the matter of Gamer's Body, it's better than I imagined; I don't have to eat, drink or sleep, I can still do these things, and the longer I don't do it, the better it feels when I finally do it, so I have the occasional feast. A lonely one, having bonds is not productive for my goals, at least not yet.
I think I should get a break from training, not a short one to catch my breath or eat, but one to actually go do something.
So with leisure time in mind I went to the shore. As I was walking down the stairs, I turned my head to look at the horizon. The waves were calmer than usual, some sun beamed through the clouds in the distance, creating pillars of yellow-orange light. It was early in the morning, so there was a thin layer of mist above the water creating a mystic aura. I stopped walking, and sat on the last stair.
I sighed, a smile on my lips. Mother Nature is sexy.
I guess I have something for places that hadn't been destroyed by humans. Should my ultimate goal be to eradicate all of humanity, so nature may thrive? No, then I wouldn't have the means to get the second thing I love, gold.
...I think I can bear sacrificing a few worlds for mining the shiny metal to sate my sin. What is a few million kilometers of dead trees to a centillion light years of the opposite?
Hmm, there are a lot of planets devoid of life, but not minerals out there in the cosmos. Now that I think about it, I won't have to sactifice even one small patch of grass. I heard there was a diamond planet back in the universe I came from, and there are a lot of fictional verses similar to my own, that are relatively weak. For example, Harry Potter; I'd assume the most powerful characters were a bit over town level, so if my assumptions are true, I could easily conquer the planet within months of training, and use the enslaved humans to build an interplanetary empire, to start mining the solar system for my hoard.
I am thinking of the far future. For now I'm in a remote village, on a random island in East Blue. And I am on the bottom of the food chain, it seems; even some non-canon retired pirate crew could defeat me, as the situation with Earl and his nakama is. My training should grant me enough power to kill him and the people around him in a few days. After that, I'll give this village two options, either build me a ship, or I'll set their place on fire. They would probably sabotage the ship, make it very weak, but it should last till I get to the next island at worst, where my first priority would be obtaining a new vessel.
Still, I should make a spell for sustained flight, just in case the ship sinks at sea. Flames wouldn't work, even if it looks like they would. My only lead is using the explosions from fireballs to propel myself, but that shit hurts. Maybe I should try to learn Geppou? Yes, that could work, I already have a bit of DEX, and if I stop spending points on INT and WIS, which grow level by level, then I could pour all of the points to the stat.
You triggered a Quest.
[Learn Geppou]
Rewards:
+40 to a random stat
+10.000 Beri
70% chance for an EXP Crystal
Triggered a quest? The only time I remember 'triggering a quest' was when I got the protagonist killing one, but there was no message saying that I 'triggered' it.
I add new features as time goes on, and the system you use is pretty new, only one Gamer before you used it. They died one day, nine hours, forty three minutes and twelve seconds after becoming the Host.
What do you mean? Are you implying that you are a separate entity to the Game? What are you?
So that's why some things changed in my Status! And why did you tell me you were the Game during your introduction?
Yes. I am a being that was created to fulfill a single goal- guide Games. I didn't want to explain it that time.
Wellthat's new, so the Game is just a brainless system?
More of an AI, it can improve on its own, but to an extent- and that's where I come in, I improve the Games, and when a Game becomes perfect for the Host, I leave them.
So there are other Gamers? How many are there?
You're the 714.356.235th Gamer. And don't worry about competition, about 93% of them are dead, 6% have become omnipotent gods and the last 1% are like you, the adventurers, the beginners, the Gamers who still compete in the race to power. I know that 1% is still a few million, but they're spread out across multiverses, the distances are so vast that even with infinite speed you would never reach them.
That's a lot to take in.
And the statistics aren't that reassuring...
But wait, if there are millions of Gamers with fresh Game systems, how do you oversee all of them?
Do you really expect me not to be omnipresent?
I guess that's fai...
If you are omnipresent, then why did you disappear back when you got into a fight with Vigish, or whatever his name was?
Name's Vingnish, and he's so powerful that I need my entire infinite presence to give him a challenge.
Well thanks for telling me all that, it certainly opened my eyes. I stand up straight, stretching my arms as I sigh. After a somewhat pleasurable morning I returned to the training, I wanted to have a longer break, but this should do. It's not like I need to rest, I guess I just wanted to see the sunrise in the end.

Yet another horde of skeletons was exterminated in a grand explosion of flames. I noticed that I didn't get any new dungeons as I leveled up, and the EXP I got per enemy has been decreasing every kill, but the number of enemies was increasing just as fast, that way EXP gain stays the same. The dungeon was balancing out so it stays a challenge to my ever growing strength. Enemies' stats did increase too, but that didn't stop me from mowing them down by the hundreds, as it was too insignificant of a change. Dungeons are a reliable source of EXP, yet they're not enough if I want to become a god- the gap between being able to crush boulders and destroy galaxies is unimaginably large. With linear growth that would take far too much time, I'm probably going to have to stop using them at some point. But then what? I would fight stronger and stronger opponents, and at that point [Where's Your Author Now] would be the thing that escalates me the most. If I fold a sheet of paper 50 times, it would reach from earth to sun. killing one or two protagonists wouldn't be that much of a boost in the grand scheme of things, but killing forty, sixty, a hundred would be. However to get to that point I need to become incredibly powerful, which is gonna take a lot of time and effort.
When I reached the castle with the hippo inside, I blew the door up easily with a Hell's Sphere. Inside, I created as many spheres as my mana allowed me, waited till it recharged and empowered all of them.
This is the strategy I now use, the boss doesn't move until my attack is about half a meter from it, one attack it is able to evate, but if I bombard it from all sides it always falls in one hit.
And that's exactly what I did, so the boss battle was over before it even began.
The item I got this time was a knight figurine that boosts SP regeneration by 30% to all sentient beings in a 5 meter radius. It's a bit heavy, so I won't be taking it to dungeons, it'll stay in my house, not in inventory as it still could help me shorten my rest time between ID's.
"ID escape" I said. Now to wait until I'm back to full strength, and in a few minutes I'll be killing skeletons again.

Earl could be seen sitting on his throne as always, his expression slightly more intimidating than most of the time. He seemed angered, the culprit and focus of it was the newcomer.
Adryt had a feeling that boy was one of them, one of the people that would try to change the world, only to fail miserably. One of the naive optimists that knew nothing of real suffering. He despised their kind.
He was the Earl of Abisol village, nothing else. A life of monotony was one he hated, however he would not indulge himself in the Adventure. He would not let his past, foolish self control his decisions.
And that was his redemption.
A/N:
So this chapter's a short one. Tell me in the reviews if you want me to make shorter(faster uploading) or longer(slower uploading) chapters.
Sociopath perk makes him able to kill in cold blood, Gamer's Mind contains extreme emotions- they do not make him emotionless.
I want to make him strong fairly quickly, so that everything he imagines in the earlier chapters and this chapter will happen later in the fic.
About the 'no level scaling' thing, if you want me to change it then I would make it he'd discover in the next chapter that his level EXP cost multiplies by 5 every 25 levels. Tell me what you think in the reviews.
Constructive criticism is very much appreciated :)
So from now on I'll be responding to the reviews!

He's not gonna make his own crew, but that's a big maybe, I could change my plans. It's more probable he'll get some subordinates and slaves that he'll take to other worlds.
He's not gonna get a lot stronger physically, it's unviable for his class- he wants to be a mage that outspeeds enemies and destroys them before they notice.
It is very much possible he'll get haki, more likely observation as it works better with his speed mage build.

He's in east blue, he just stumbled onto a strong crew that wants some peace away from the deadlier seas. Plus Alvida is there, she's an east blue pirate.
And don't worry, he will become OP later on.

Ok, I'll try
thanks for the critique :)

He's probably not gonna be a pirate, but I could change my mind. The thing I'm sure of is he'll become infamous.
