JJ and Emily went back to JJ's after going to O'Keiths with the team. JJ had a few too many to drink, and Emily wanted to make sure the blonde got home safe and didn't fall victim to a serial killer or rapist in her vulnerable state, and she wanted to make sure the blonde was okay once she was home. She also knew the kids were at Wills, and JJ hated being home alone, so she would likely appreciate Emily staying with her for the night.

"Is something going on between them?" Alvez asked. He was the most sober of the team who was still socialising and noticed more than friendship between JJ and Emily.

"I don't know..." Rossi replied. He'd seen the signs of romantic and sexual attraction between the pair too, but he didn't think they were dating. "Penelope spill."

"I don't know, sir. They haven't told me anything. They know I can't keep secrets like that." She didn't think JJ and Emily were dating either, and not being a profiler hadn't picked up on the signs of mutual attraction between the two.

In the taxi on the way home, Emily made sure the taxi driver was going in the right direction and not about to abduct both of them. They'd left their guns in the office, knowing they shouldn't be armed whilst drinking.

"Emily, your Hot," JJ said. The alcohol had lowered her inhibitions and made her slip about her attraction towards Emily.

Emily was shocked to hear that slip from JJ's mouth. At least she now knew the attraction was mutual, even if now wasn't the right time to enter into a relationship with JJ. She'd just been through a divorce, and they didn't even live on the same side of the world. "Your Hot too, Jayje," Emily responded, hoping JJ wouldn't remember in the morning.

When they got to JJ's, JJ tried to unlock the door but dropped her keys. Emily picked them up and unlocked the door. JJ was more drunk than she thought, and now she was glad she had decided to go home with the blonde. Emily made sure JJ got into to bed. She wished she could get into bed with her, but she didn't want to take advantage of the drunk agent. She got JJ a glass of water and Asprin. She'd need them in the morning and smiled when she'd noticed JJ had already fallen asleep. She put the trashcan beside JJ's end of the bed in case she got sick before going to sleep in the spare room.

In the morning, Emily decided to make JJ some eggs and bacon. She knew JJ would need something greasy to help the hangover she likely had from the night before.

JJ woke up to the smell of bacon. Her head pounding. She opened her eyes and found the trash can beside her and the glass of water with the Asprin. She took the meds and drank the water, and wracked her brain as to who had come home with her the night before and was now making bacon in her kitchen.

"Fuck Emily." JJ thought to herself. What had happened last night? She couldn't remember. She got her body out of bed and went into the kitchen, pouring the coffee Emily had put on.

"How's the head?" Emily asked, serving up breakfast.

"Hurts like a bitch." JJ responded, sitting down opposite Emily and eating breakfast with her. "Thanks for the food. You're a saviour."

Emily laughed. She knew JJ's pain all too well. "Mmhm, they do call me that." She replied, eating her breakfast, looking at how beautiful JJ was.

"Hey Em..." JJ started.

"Yeah, Jayje?"

"Nothing happened last night, did it? Between us?"

"No, JJ. You had a few too many drinks, so I took you home before you had the chance to gave a few too many more and embarrassed yourself. I got you into bed, got the trashcan, the water and some aspirin and then went to sleep in the spare room."

JJ breathed a sigh of relief. "Thanks for looking after me. Your the best."

"You'd do the same for me," Emily responded. JJ had done the same for her before when she was the one who'd had too much to drink.
