Horrifying Discoveries

Chromia stood silently, her gaze focused solely on her twin. They'd survived the war for Cybertron and the exodus together. Now, after so many years separated from each other, Chromia had felt Arcee perish. Het twin's spark extinguished at the hands of Galvatronus, a Decepticon that should be one with the Allspark.

Yet, she had noticed Jack, he'd refuse to leave Arcee's side. Something she found both intriguing, yet confusing. Was he the reason Arcee had perished? Chromia needed answers, yet sadly, she didn't even know where to begin.

"PRIME!"

Chromia turned, her gaze focused upon Fowler, the Government agent marched fast, too fast for it to be casual. Chromia moved, joining the other Autobots. She had to guess that whenever Fowler was around, it meant business with the Cons.

"Twelve raids happened at various locations across the states, medical facilities, nuclear power plants, steel works and military labs were attacked by the Cons."

Chromia blinked, why would the Decepticons raid human facilities? Cybertronian alloy was superior in every way. The question burned deeply, though she assumed it was because they lacked the materials needed to construct what they needed.

"What do you think Buckethead building?"

Chromia turned, her gaze locked on Wheeljack, the Wrecker may be a chaos factor among their ranks, but he often brought up a good point. What was Megatron looking to construct.

Optimus narrowed his optics, his gaze drifting between his team. "I do not Megatron is constructing anything." The Prime observed, stepping forward. "Agent Fowler, did anyone catch sight of the ones leading the raids?"

Fowler nodded. "Yeah, we caught these three standing at the back at three separate raids, each happening at the exact same time."

Chromia widened her optics, three Insecticon warriors, two of which couldn't be mistaken for anyone else. "Sharpshot, Kickback and Hardshell." She noted.

"I snuffed Hardshell's spark."

Chromia turned, her baffled gaze locked on Miko, she didn't believe that an organic, one as fragile as the human race, had managed to snuff Hardshell. "The Dinobots couldn't extinguish his Spark, so how could you?"

"She used the Jackhammer."

Chromia turned, her gaze falling on Wheeljack. "And just what were you doing letting an organic behind the controls of a Cybertronian ship?" She demanded, eyeing Wheeljack closely.

The Wrecker shrugged his shoulders, ignoring her question as he turned his gaze towards the monitors. "I'll assume this Insecticon is Hardshell's replacement."

Chromia sighed, her attention once more drawn to the monitors. "It'll be Bombshock, Hardshell's twin." She paused, her processors ticking. "With Hardshell deceased, and those three leading the raids, the only other Insecticon leader unaccounted for is Scorponok. He'll be the one behind the raids."

Ultra Magnus narrowed his optics. "Something I noticed during the battle of Tesarus was the large quantity of Insecticons. Galvatronus surrounds himself with powerful warriors." The Wrecker leader turned, his gaze falling upon Optimus. "With close observation, I have noticed a lack of Vehicons."

Magnus' observation didn't go unheard as Optimus nodded in agreement. "With what we currently know, we can safely conclude that Galvatronus is gathering resources for an unknown purpose." Shifting his gaze, he frowned. "I am now concerned as to what reasons Galvatronus is gathering such components."

Fowler frowned, heading towards his office. "I'll dispatch a list of all know items stolen so far." He cried, vanishing through a door.

Those present waited several silent minutes before a ping drew their attention to one of the monitors. Ratchet allowed his gaze to drift over the list. "Genetics tester, tesseract, power relays, nuclear control rods." The medical officer paused, his optics going wide. "By the Allspark, if I'm right, I dare say that Galvatronus is seeking to build a cloning device."

Silence reigned over the base, Miko frowned, eyeing the group closely. "So, he's going to clone those drones right? Build up Megatron's army further?"

Ultra Magnus shook his head, as much as he disliked Miko, he had to admit that she brought much spirit to the Wreckers. "I do not believe he would clone the Vehicons, I believe he'll be cloning the Insecticon warriors, to rebuild what was lost during the battle of Tesarus."

Fowler, having returned from his office, blinked as he grasped the railing. "And what about the steel? And the electronics?" He inquired.

Ultra Magnus frowned, optics going wide as a horrifying realisation set in. "To be used in the construction of his citadel."

Galvatronus marched down the caverns, the Insecticon warriors worked hard, covering the walls with steel alloy. Others moved, lighting the dark corridors. As he emerged into another cavern, he was greeted by several cloning tubes being put into place.

"Lord Galvatronus, construction of the citadel has come along as planned." Scorponok reported, moving to march alongside his master.

Galvatronus grinned, coming to a stop. "Excellent. However, it has come to my attention that I now lack an assassin, with Airachnids betrayal, I must install a replacement." Holding out his clawed servos, Galvatronus revealed a small component for Scorponok to see.

"A memory stick." Scorponok noted, his gaze lifting. "If you don't mind me asking, but who's memories?"

Galvatronus smirked, a grin forming upon his lips. "From an Autobot, one I believe will serve the hive well. However, before we may proceed, there is one component missing. One that Airachnid possesses."

Scorponok allowed his lips to part, twisting into a dark grin. "The central hive modulator, they are to be one of us commanding generals, to one day have a hive of their own."

Galvatronus simply nodded, hiding the component. "While I obtain the part, they will require a body. Find an Insecticon warrior willing to give their life for the good of the hive." Galvatronus began to march onwards, his own processors working overtime as he began calculating the most efficient way to achieve his goals.

Ultra Magnus shifted uncomfortably, he'd been left behind by Optimus, most likely to keep an eye on the base. As a result, he'd been left behind with two of their human allies. Jack and Sierra. He wasn't sure where the others had gotten to, not that it bothered him much, Miko was a minor annoyance and the silence was welcoming for a change.

Jack was in his usual place, mourning Arcee's death by her lifeless frame, Sierra on the other hand, stood silently, eyeing the place in wonder. Ultra Magnus frowned, turning instead to focus on the monitors close by.

Pulling up a list of files, he began to scroll through them, heading towards the bottom of the list. Just as he was beginning to enjoy the silence, a voice reached his audio receptors.

"What're you reading?"

Turning his gaze, Ultra Magnus caught sight of Sierra, the young woman stood, eying his list closely. The Wrecker leader frowned. "Updating a list of those I have failed to save from Galvatronus." He replied, turning back to the list, preparing to add a file for Arcee.

"You have a history with this Galvatronus, don't you?"

Ultra Magnus sighed. "Yes, he and I fought many times during the war for Cybertron." He paused, watching as Jack moved from his perch by Arcee. "The first time we fought was during the fall of Kalis."

"What was Kalis?" Jack questioned, coming to stand beside Sierra.

The Wrecker commander frowned. "It was one of the Autobots strongholds during the war, one that the Decepticons had been attempting to take for several years. Decepticon commanders such as Starscream, Soundwave, Shockwave and even Megatron failed to take the city." He paused, his gaze shifted between the two humans.

"I remember being called to the front wall by Springer the day the city fell. For as far as my optics could see, there were Decepticons, numbering well into the thousands…" He trailed off, flashing back to the day.

Someone get Miko quickly, Ultra Magnus is sharing a war story, a war story that holds much importance for the rivalry between Galvatronus and Ultra Magnus.

Name dropped the Dinobots, signifying that they have clashed against the Insecticons many times before, infact, we'll be seeing them in another war story, the battle of Tesarus.

I'll let you all guess which Autobot Galvatronus plans to turn into his assassin.
