After a while of thinking, your eyes close and you fall into a deep sleep. You sleep for the rest of the day.
You say "zzz"
You wake up in the middle of the night.
"Chie?" you ask, as you sit up.
No response.
You notice Chie has gone home.
You look at the clock. It's two in the morning. You don't know why Chie is gone.
You stand up and pace the room.
"Nothing to worry about..."
You go back to sleep.
You lie in bed for a while before falling asleep again.
A day passes, and you wake up in the morning. You walk downstairs and see my uncle and my cousin.
"Ah! You're awake!" my uncle says.
"Are you OK?" my cousin asks.
"Yeah, I'm fine," you respond.
You say "I should get ready for school"
"OK," your uncle says. "I'll let you get ready."
"Ok," you say.
You walk into your bathroom. You look at yourself in the mirror.
You brush your teeth.
You spit into the sink and gargle with some mouthwash. You wash your face, and brush your teeth again.
"Ahh..." you moan.
You look at yourself in the mirror. You still look tired.
You walk over to your closet and get dressed. You put on a grey V-Neck t-shirt, some grey ripped jeans, and some black vans shoes.
You go to school.
You walk into your school, which is empty. Most students are still on Spring Break.
"I wonder if Chie likes me?" you think to yourself.
You walk into English.
"Heyhey!" your best friend, Yosuke, waves to you.
You walk up to him.
"Hey, did you get the part-time job?"
You say "Yea"
"Yea, did you get it?" Yosuke asks.
"No, but I got a summer job as a lifeguard," you say.
"A lifeguard?" Yosuke says.
You say "Yep"
"Ya, I'll be able to save lives!" you smirk.
"Lame," Yosuke says.
You look up from your conversation to see your crush, Rise, waving at you.
"Ah! There you are," she says. "I'm trying to find the quiet room..."
You follow her as she leads you into the classroom.
"This is the quiet room," she says.
You say "Ok"
"Ok"
Rise sits down at your table. You recognize the other person as the girl who sat next to you in History, Naoto.
"Hey," Naoto says.
"Hey."
You say "Hi"
"Hi"
"Have you seen my boyfriend?" Naoto asks.
"No."
"He hasn't come by since first period," she says.
"What's his name?" you ask.
Naoto says it's Kanji.
"He's a jock, but he's really sweet," she says. "You'll like him."
She goes back to looking for him. You sigh and go to sit at your desk.
School ends, and you walk home with Yosuke. You talk about school as you walk. When you get home, you throw your bag in your room and think about your upcoming 18th birthday.
You say "I can't wait to be 18"
You think to yourself, as you get your bag out of your room.
You think about your future. You think about the students that you'll save.
You decide to ask Chie out.
You wait for Chie to exit her house. When she does, you walk up to her.
"Hey, Chie," you say.
"Hello there," Chie says. "What's up?"
You say "Do you wanna go out?"
"Sure," Chie says. "When?"
"I dunno... whenever you're free..."
"Oh, well let's do it tonight," Chie says.
"Great!" you say.
"I'll pick you up around 8," Chie says.
"Okay," you say.
"Alright, I gotta go..." Chie says.
You say "ok"
"Alright," you say.
You walk back home, feeling much better about life.
You say "I should get ready"
You walk into your room and get out of your school clothes. You get dressed in a red shirt, black pants, and white shoes. You finish by spraying yourself with your favorite after-shave. When you're done, you look in the mirror. You think you look really suave.
You look at the time.
You look at your watch.
It's now 8:10. Chie should be here soon.
I hear a knock at the door, that must be Chie.
You walk up to the door and open it.
"Hey, it's me," Chie says.
"Hi," you say.
"Hi," Chie says.
Chie asks me if I'm ready to go. I nod my head.
"I'll drive," Chie says.
We get into Chie's car and drive off to where ever it is we're going.
We reach a stoplight.
"So... do you have any plans for your birthday?" Chie asks.
"Not really," you say. "I might just stay in."
"That's a shame," Chie says.
Chie suggests that I should invite Yosuke, Yukiko, Rise, Naoto and Kanji to my party.
"Yeah, maybe," you say. "I'll ask them."
"Great," Chie says.
The light changes to green.
"We should get out of here."
"Yeah," Chie says, putting the car in gear and driving off.
We arrive at the 24-hour Donut Ranch. Chie walks inside and comes back with a large box of donuts.
You say "Nice"
"Thanks," you say. "I don't think I could've survived the night without them."
We continue talking as we eat the donuts. Eventually, it starts getting dark.
You say "What do you wanna do now?"
"I don't know," Chie says. "We can go to the movies or something."
You say "That sounds fun"
"I know! Let's go to the movies!" Chie says.
"Yeah, that sounds fun," you say.
We head to the nearest theater. We get our tickets and get into the theater.
We watched a movie afterward. It was about a bunch of people who were trapped in a mine and had to figure out how to escape.
After the movie, we get back in the car and drive off. We arrive at your house.
You say "That was fun"
"Yeah, that was fun," you say.
"Yeah, you're..."
"Hey, you want to go to the mall?" you ask.
"Yeah, sure," she says.
We go to the mall. We spent all afternoon there. Eventually, we leave and get back in Chie's car.
"I had so much fun," she says. "Thank you so much."
