The Warden left and Luz got out of the cell.
"Kid, you have to get out of here." The Fanfic prisoner said, "Enjoy freedom for us."
Luz felt bad about not being able to help, but she doesn't plan on being the Avatar anymore, so she doesn't plan on Bending anymore. She made it past the Warden's Office and was walking towards the door that had the contraband behind it.
"Hey, I just saw the Warden, he was hurting some small creature." Eda said, appearing next to Luz, "Hey, kid, what's wrong?"
"I think it's wrong how people are just being locked up for being themselves. If I had the power to cha-"
Luz stopped herself when she realized, she does have the power to change this. Eda didn't seem to notice Luz cut herself off as she focused on King acting power hungry. She followed him into the door and Luz followed suit. When she started to pay attention, she noticed that King was headbutting the force field.
"You don't need to do that; we have a Human. Remember?" Eda said.
"Oh, yeah." King said, a little dazed from banging his skull multiple times.
Luz placed her hand against the barrier, she found very little resistance. She walked through and saw a massive pile of junk. She looked at the top of the pile and saw something familiar.
"Is that?"
She climbed to the top of the pile and it took everything she had to not burn this piece of cardboard in her hands. She walked out of the pile and tossed King his crown. He placed it on and grabbed a stuff bunny that would be his "Minion".
"That doesn't give him anything, does it?" Luz asked, clearly annoyed.
"No." Eda said, "Look at us, Luz. Between King and I, we have next to nothing. The only thing we have is each other, so if that dumb crown is important to him, it's important to me. Besides, us weirdo's have to stick together."
Luz thought about it for a minute, she was kind of a weirdo in her world, being the only person that can bend every element, you don't get to be involved in any activities with an unfair advantage, and she doesn't make friends with many non bender's as they're jealous about her being that powerful. Luz was taken out of her thoughts when Eda's head landed in her hands. Luz, naturally, screamed.
"Ow! Oh, I hate when that happens."
Luz, naturally, screamed again.
"Eda, are you okay?"
"Yeah, this happens when you get older." Eda said.
Luz didn't know how to respond. She had several weird things in her world, but limbs falling off, not part of it. She looked up and saw the Warden, crushing King's crown.
"I knew if I stole your pets' little toy, you'd have no choice but to come here for me to capture you." Wrath said, "You have nowhere to run now."
He grabbed Eda's head from Luz.
"Hey, let go of her!" Luz said.
"Quiet!" He said, grabbing Luz with his other hand, "You weak human, you don't belong here."
He threw Luz against the wall and she landed with a thud. She looked around and saw a brick that fell out of the wall when she hit it. She looked at Eda being grabbed by her hair and got a plan in her head. She discreetly used her Earthbending and launched the brick into his head. He dropped Eda's head and she looked at Luz.
"Nice throw!" Eda said.
'Oh, if you only knew.' Luz thought.
She ran over and picked up Eda's head, King, and Eda's staff. Eda's body got on with the rest of them and Luz tried to take off... she didn't know how.
"How do you work this thing?" Luz said.
Eda rolled her eyes.
"Gun it magic stick!"
The staff flew off and Luz flipped the switches of the cells, allowing the prisoners to escape. They made it out of the prison, but the Warden managed to hit the staff and they were knocked to the ground. Eda reattached her head and pulled the key out of her hair.
"Luz, take this and get back to the Human World."
Eda placed Luz on the staff and slapped the back of it, causing it to carry Luz into the sky. She hung on very tightly, she didn't want to be reincarnated yet. She noticed the prisoners hiding and went over to them.
"Why aren't you guys escaping?"
"The Warden will catch us, he always does." The Fanfic Prisoner said, "Besides, we won't be able to make it to the exit before he beats that witch."
Luz got an idea.
"What if I managed to keep him distracted?" Luz said.
This got the prisoner's attention.
"You would do that? That's suicide for a Human." The Eyeball Prisoner said.
"Why would you help us?" The Fanfic Prisoner asked.
"Because, it's my job to keep balance." Luz said, "And no one deserves to be punished for being themselves."
Luz flew back towards the Warden, who had Eda and King cornered.
"Hey, Warden!" Luz said.
Everyone looked at her.
"You came back?" Wrath asked, "That will be a mistake."
He breathed fire at her and King and Eda looked horrified. Luz tossed the staff away from the fire and put her hands up. Wrath stopped and looked at the wall of fire, glad that the Human was gone.
"Luz... no." Eda said.
"How does it feel, knowing that she died because of you?" Wrath said.
He morphed his hand into a hammer and raised it above Eda. Before he could crush her, he was hit in the head with a large rock. He looked over and saw Luz, with rocks floating a couple inches above her hand.
"Miss me?" She asked, sending the rest of the rocks at him.
He was hit and growled. He breathed more fire at her, which she used her Firebending to catch. When she caught it, the fire turned blue and she fired it back at him. He was knocked back and she fired off three more blast of blue fire, and one bolt of Lightning. All of them hit him in different places, mainly the torso. She ran at him and jumped up and made a spin kick, with fire following. Wrath was sent to the ground, landing on his back with a groan emitting from him. He started getting up and Luz stomped her foot on the ground. His lower body was encased in rock and he looked at Luz.
"Who are you?!" He demanded.
"I am Avatar Luz, Firebender Prodigy, keeper of Balance!" She looked away for a second, "Now eat this sucker!"
Luz used her Earthbending and hit him with a rock pillar, sending him flying back into the prison. Luz looked back at Eda.
"I guess I have some explaining to do?"
"Yes, you do, but let's get out of here before anyone else comes by trying to kill us."
They flew back to the Owl House and they walked inside.
"Okay, spill, what was all of that, with the rocks and the fire?" Eda asked, "I thought you were a human."
"I am a Human. In my world, people are able to bend Fire, Earth, Water, or Air. Then there is me, the most powerful person in my world. I am the Avatar, the only person that can control all four. Every time I die, I get reincarnated and have to relearn the elements and... you aren't paying attention, are you?"
"I stopped paying attention when you said die." Eda said, handing Luz her book, "Here you go. I promised I'd return it. Now, to get you back home."
Eda opened the portal and Luz looked at it.
"No."
"What?" Eda asked, "If you're this powerful person, shouldn't you go back and, I don't know, be powerful."
"No one needs the Avatar anymore. The world has found itself in a state of perpetual piece and co-operation. I'm obsolete there, but from the looks of it, I may be needed here."
"What are you saying?" Eda asked.
"I want to stay here. Maybe I can bring balance to this place." Luz said, "And maybe I could even learn magic while I'm at it."
"Kid, Humans can't do magic." Eda said.
"This world doesn't seem to understand what Humans are capable of." Luz retorted, "Besides, I'll never know if I don't try."
King tugged at Eda's dress.
"Let her stay, she can make us snacks."
"Alright, you can stay, but you're going to help me with my work." Eda said.
Luz hugged her, much to Eda's confusion.
"What is this? What are you doing?"
