CHAPTER TWO, PT. 1

No time left

POV: Gray and Juvia

-Are you crazy?! We'll become food for those things once we walk there- Natsu shouted.

-There is no other way to get out of here-

-I'm sorry but I'm with Natsu. Its stupid to put everyone of us in danger like that-

Juvia walked up and proposed an idea -Those things may see us if we go all together. Why don't we go slowly one by one?-

-That's not a bad idea, Juvia. It will be easier to hide in between the cars- Lyon approved while touching her shoulder and smiling to her. Gray noticed hjs action and raised an eyebrow but chose to ignore it.

-But who's gonna go first? I mean, I don't think anybody wants to be at risk first- Lucy mentioned.

-Lets do rock, paper, scissors- Natsu proposed.

-Really..?-

-...- everyone looked at each other.

-Ah... I guess I'll go first...- It was Gray the one who lost, followed by Juvia, Natsu, Lyon and Lucy. Gray made his way to the first cars and hid behind them. He peeked through the side and spoted two dead ones eating a body on the floor. He walked fast and silently to the next one and made a hand gesture to Juvia to follow his steps. Juvia copied his movements and hid with him. Luckily those things did not noticed them which allowed them to move forward to the next car. Natsu followed their steps cautiously, then Lyon and finally Lucy.

They managed to get to the middle of the road, now they were half way through. Gray and Juvia were hiding behind a huge truck. Suddenly they heard a woman started screaming from one of the cars, which caused all of the monsters to run towards it. -Oh crap..!- Lyon exclaimed. The car was in the middle separating Gray and Juvia from the rest. They had to hide. Now. There was no much left to get out for Gray and Juvia. The black haired boy grabed Juvia and rolled under the truck hiding her under him. Lyon opened an empty car and locked himself in while Natsu and Lucy rolled under the cars.

Juvia stared at Gray. He was bitting his lower lip trying to keep himself calm. His hands were shaking and drops of sweat were falling down his forehead. If they made any sound it could be the end. It was hard to breath. It was hard to see. The only thing they could do was wait. The herd of walkers were making their way towards the poor woman screaming, which unluckily was the car Lucy was hidding under. -..!- She covered her mouth with her hands trying to prevent any sound from coming out. All she could see was those bloody creatures's feet.

-Lucy..!- Natsu murmured in panic. Lyon saw how the pink haired boy was looking at the girl in panic and just hoped he didn't do something stupid.

The dead ones started pushing the car trying to get inside. If they kept doing this Lucy would die. He could not bare the thought of it. He could not bare losing anyone else. Natsu punched the floor in anger, making his fist to bleed. He had to do something. -Come on, come on, come on!- He encouraged himself. He rolled on the pavement coming out from where he was hidding and ran towards the car they were driving before. Some of the walkers saw him and started running after him. He turned the car on and rolled the window down -Come on you little shit heads!- He step on the accelerator and made his way to a bunch of cars. He opened the door and jumped out of the car before it was too late. The car crushed into the other cars and caused a huge explosion wich attracted the zombies.

Natsu ran towards Lucy and helped her come out. Lyon came outside from the car he was in and all he could see was a huge fire barrier separating them from Gray and Juvia. -Holy... what are we gonna do now..?-

-The explosion caused a huge sound. It will attract more of those things in no time- Natsu said while helping Lucy stand up.

Gray and Juvia came from down the truck. -We should get out of here. Now-

-Gray!- Lyon shouted. -Let's meet at the bridge near the train station!-

-When?!-

-Tomorrow night! If we can't meet tomorrow let's try the next day!-

-Alright!-

And with that said, Gray grabbed Juvia's hand and started running. A lot of walkers saw them and started following after them. -They're right behind us..!-

-Hurry!-

Gray pushed away the walkers that appeared in front of them while Juvia helped him. -There are too many!- Gray spoted an empty gas station and started making his way towards there -Gray..!- He grabbed her hand and started running once again, but she moved so abruptly that her anckle twisted. -Agh..!-

-Crap..!- He should leave her and run. He should save himself. They had just officially met today so there was no reason to put himself in danger for her.

But he couldn't.

Something was telling him to help her and taking with him. He stared at her suffering body on the floor for a second and decided he could not just leave her there to die. -Agh...- she complained. Her eyes were tearing up. She knew she was screwed if he decided to go.

This was, maybe, her time.

-...Come on..!- Gray kneeled next to her and picked her up in his arms. Luckily he was a baseball player so it wasn't that hard. He ran towards the gas station and quickly closed the door behind him just on time so the walkers didn't come in. Now they just had to find something to block it. -Can you see something to block the door?!- He put her down on the floor. Juvia started looking around desperately until she found a big iron shelves.

-We can use the shelves!-

-Alright! Get the door!- Juvia whent and changed positions with him. The dead ones were strongly pushing. She tried to put all of her weight on her healthy foot but it was nearly impossible since they were stronger. Gray went towards the shelves and started pushing them towards the door with all his strength -Agh!- Once he was in front of the door Juvia rapidly moved and helped him push it until the door was completely blocked.

Now, the only sound were their pantings bodies.
