"Alright, we'll get the last two Dragon Balls," Goku said.
"Where are you going, Kakarot?" Vegeta asked.
"Hmm… I wanna see this Mothra. Could be cool."
"Fine, then I'll deal with Rodan."
"Aw come on, Vegeta! Don't be like that!"
"It would be faster if we split up. Besides, I need a break from your constant idiocy."
"Wow, so grumpy…" Goku said softly to himself.
"So this fire bird is in a volcano?" Vegeta asked Mark.
"Yes. After the battle in Boston, he flew to Kilauea in Hawaii to regain his strength. Monarch has been monitoring him ever since." Mark then turned to Goku.
"As for Mothra, she perished during the same battle, but we've recently discovered an egg on her home on Infant Island. We believe she can somehow reincarnate herself, like a phoenix rising from ashes. Hence why we've nicknamed Infant island 'Rebirth.'"
"Wow, that's amazing! So she must be strong!" Goku said excitedly.
"But remember, these 'Dragon Balls' are highly radioactive, which means the Titans will use them as a food source. They might not take kindly to you two taking them. So, be careful. Once you have the balls, meet us in Tokyo."
"Hmph. It's not me that you have to warn. It's that clown Kakarot."
"I can handle myself just fine, Vegeta," Goku said.
Both Saiyans exited the tent and soared into the air, taking off in different directions. Meanwhile, Monarch began preparations to head for Tokyo, alerting the Japanese government of the potential disaster heading its way.
Since Rebirth Island was closer to Hong Kong, Goku arrived first. The island was covered in lush forests, with a huge waterfall at its center.
"Too bad we don't have Bulma's dragon radar. We know where the last Dragon Balls are, but not exactly where," Goku said to himself as he dived towards the waterfall.
Reflecting off the sunlight, Goku spotted the five-star ball in a cave behind the waterfall. As he reached for it, he felt rumbling. Looking down the cave, he was suddenly blinded, as Mothra radiated her beautiful lights.
"Whoa, this is just as strong as Krillin's Solar Flare!" Goku said, covering his eyes.
Bracing himself for an attack, Goku took a fighting stance against the huge insect, but instead, she looked upon him with curiosity. It's almost as if she knew Goku wasn't a threat.
Meanwhile, halfway across the Pacific, the situation couldn't be any more different from Vegeta. He and Rodan engaged in a dogfight above the volcano.
"Damn flying pest!" Vegeta grunted as he fired ki blasts at Rodan's face. The Titan was unfazed, however, and continued to fly towards him.
Vegeta was just able to dodge when Goku arrived using Instant Transmission, holding his Dragon Ball.
"What's wrong, Vegeta? Need some backup?" Goku asked.
"Tch! Shut up! I don't need your help!" Vegeta yelled.
Both barely had time to turn to see Rodan charge towards them, attempting to snatch them with his beak.
"You're pissing me off now!" Vegeta shouted to the Titan. "Galick Gun!"
The purple blast erupted from Vegeta's hands but it had no affect on the Titan. Made sense since he remained in his base form to focus his energy for speed. Also, Monarch personnel on-site said to not hurt Rodan.
Meanwhile, Goku snuck away and retrieved the last ball near the caldera. It was hot, so Goku formed a ki shield around his body to protect himself from the heat.
"Vegeta! I got what we need! Let's get out of here!" he yelled. Using Instant Transmission to return to Vegeta, he placed his hand on his shoulder. Then, the two Saiyans vanished before Rodan. Confused and enraged, the Titan released a loud roar that could be heard for miles.
Locking onto the energy of the other Dragon Balls, Goku and Vegeta appeared within Monarch's Japanese facility. It was a large structure within Mount Fuji.
Everyone gathered at the center. Also present were the five other Dragon Balls. Anyone who close to them wore radiation suits.
"What happened with your Titan?" Vegeta asked Goku.
"She simply let me have the Dragon Ball."
"What? Why did you get the easy one?"
"Hey, it was YOUR choice to split up and head for the volcano, right?" Goku reminded. Vegeta simply grumbled.
"Alright, now what?" Madison asked.
"Watch this," Goku answered, turning towards the group. Placing the last two Dragon Balls with the others, Goku spoke the chant.
"Eternal Shenron, by your name I summon you forth!"
All seven Dragon Balls glowed golden before a large green dragon with red eyes and antlers emerged from them.
"I am Shenron. I shall grant you three wishes you desire. Now speak." Shenron's deep commanding voice trembled throughout the facility.
"Hi there, Shenron! First, can you bring back all of the cities and towns destroyed by the monsters?"
"That is a rather large wish. It will take some time to fulfill."
"Fine by me," Goku said. "Second, can you bring everyone who was killed by the monsters back?"
"That is another large wish. As with the first, it will take some time to complete. Are you sure?"
"Positive!" Goku said giving a thumbs-up.
After a few minutes, Shenron spoke again.
"Your first two wishes have been granted."
Rushing over to see, the group and Monarch staff ran over to a large computer screen.
"Guys, the dragon is telling the truth," Nathan said. "Thermal imaging is showing huge spikes in San Francisco, Hong Kong, Boston, Las Vegas, Honolulu, Janjira, Pensacola, Isla de Mara, Sedona, Munich, Jebel Barkal. Everywhere the Titans have been."
"Also, check this out," Mark said, tapping on a keyboard. "Satellits are showing that these same cities have been restored. They're back to normal."
Everyone cheered and hollered, ecstatic with their success.
"Now, state your last wish," Shenron ordered.
"Oh yeah, almost forgot," Goku said. "We need some backup against Frieza and his monsters."
A bright light emerged between the dragon and Saiyans. After it died away, five figures stood. Gohan, Goten, kid Trunks, future Trunks and Bulma appeared.
"Dad!" Gohan and Goten shouted at the same time, running to their father.
"Dad!" Trunks said, followed by future Trunks, who also smiled upon seeing Vegeta.
"Oh, honey, you're here!" Bulma said with excitement.
"Your wishes have been granted. Farewell." Shenron disappeared and the Dragon Balls rose into the sky, splitting into several directions. The dark clouds vanished, and sunlight returned to Tokyo.
