I should probably reiterate that the Naruto Universe portrayed in this fic is LOOSELY BASED off of my story All Mighty Maelstrom. I say loosely since that story isn't entirely fleshed out either, and things like my fanmade Shimirugan or Shintenseibyakugan won't be in this story.
Also for another early warning, there will eventually be some pretty taboo things, including such topics as incest, rape, and psychological torture. I will give warnings again when a chapter will have those topics. Other than that, if you're willing to stick around this long, I'm usually up for discussing any questions and concerns through pm. My time is slowly becoming scarce again but I'll try to keep a decent schedule with this one.
Chapter 3: Uzumaki Arc, Part 3
Jaune awoke with a start. He felt as if he had just been plunged under water all of a sudden, yet he woke up dry. Looking around, he almost panicked.
"Where the heck am I?" He wondered, jumping out of a strange bed in a small room. There was clutter everywhere, with what looked to be ramen cups scattered about.
"This would happen to be my old room."
Turning around, Jaune found the man known as Naruto crouched in the window sill of the room. He gave a small wave and smirked.
"I'm back...but this isn't the clearing."
"Nope. You went to sleep in your room and woke up in mine. Well, again, my old one."
Jaune looked around once more and cringed. "Why is it so messy?"
Naruto frowned. "Oh like you're room isn't just as junky."
"It's not. Do you know what my mom would do to me if I don't clean it at least once a week?"
Naruto shook his head sadly. "Unfortunately, I don't. Didn't grow up with parents."
The Arc teen's eyes widened. "I-I'm so sorry! I didn't know!"
His fellow blonde waved him off. "Don't worry about it. I've had a lot of time to get over it. Plus, I've met my parents. Spent more than a lifetime with them already."
Jaune was confused by that but didn't question it. He didn't want to pry further. Naruto sighed and turned from him.
"Either way, come on. It's time to truly start your training." Naruto jumped out the window. Jaune moved to the window and looked out to find himself in an entirely different place. An entire town spread out before him.
"Whoa…" He breathed out. His gaze was drawn to the mountain that sat a bit in the distant, the faces of people he didn't know carved into it. Except the last face. It was Naruto's.
Seeing himself in what was essentially another world made everything hit Jaune like a ton of bricks. He was really about to learn how to fight from ghost from a different reality. He was some type of catalyst for his own world and had the potential the become the strongest ever. This far overshadowed his thoughts from the day before. How any of it was even possible eluded him, but he couldn't fathom why it mattered.
"You coming?" Naruto called from the road below.
Jaune smiled before leaping through the window and landing next to Naruto without a hitch. The older blonde rose an eyebrow.
"Looks like you're bodies already getting into the shape it should be. But that looked like you've done it before. You train in your world?"
The young Arc nodded. "Since I was 8 years old, lot of good it did me." He shot with a bit of venom. Naruto frowned and rubbed the back of his head.
"Look, I'm really sorry about screwing up the time we were supposed to meet you. But truthfully, it was probably for the best. I take it your world would look funny at an 8 year old that's capable of blowing up a mountain with his bare hands."
Jaune stumbled. "Blow up a what now?"
Naruto paused and looked at Jaune. With a smirk, he grabbed his arm before making them both disappear in a flash.
The next instant, Jaune found himself in a clearing at the base of a mountain. As soon as Naruto released him he felt his world spin before stumbling over to a bush and once more vomiting all he had eaten. Naruto laughed.
"First time gets everyone. You'll get used to it."
"What...urp...what the hell was that?" Jaune groaned, falling to his butt and holding his stomach.
"It's called the hiraishin. Or shunpo, in the case of not needing a seal for the movement."
It took a few more minutes, but Jaune's stomach eventually settled from the impromptu trip through space time. "Will...will I be able to learn that too?"
Naruto folded his arms and nodded. "You'll be learning everything this world has to teach you. But first, about that mountain."
Naruto took several steps back before turning to face the base of the mountain. Jaune looked up and saw that it was definitely a different mountain than the one with the faces carved into it. Plus, it looked more than three times the size. He couldn't even see the top of it.
"Granted, you probably wouldn't have been able to do this at 8, but 10 or 11…" Without elaborating, Naruto moved forward almost faster than Jaune could see. For a moment, Jaune noticed a small glow on Naruto's fist before the boom of the sound barrier being broken echoed out. A pulse of wind blew outwards just from Naruto thrusting his fist forward as right before Jaune's very eyes, the mountain in front of him seemed to disappear. The low booming sound of the massive structure being atomized to dust followed shortly after and another gale of wind threatened to rip Jaune from the ground.
A massive dust cloud imploded where the mountain used to be and Naruto moved to grip Jaune before he was truly launched away. After several minutes of the earth rumbling and the dust lingering, Jaune was finally able to open his eyes...to a barren empty area that seemed to go on for miles.
His jaw hit the ground as he took a step forward and gazed out at the wasteland where a full mountain used to be. "This is...impossible…"
"Nope. That word doesn't exist for you anymore." Naruto said as he placed a hand on Jaune's shoulder. "That was without any techniques and just a little chakra enhancement. You'll be able to do so much more."
Jaune turned to Naruto with a determined spark in his eyes. "When do we start?"
Another hiraishin, with Jaune regurgitating his stomach once more, and the duo were back in the village. Jaune shot the older blonde a dirty look, knowing the man was doing it on purpose. After a few moments of getting recomposed, Jaune took a look around and finally noticed that the people walking around the bustling town were merely silhouettes. For a moment, it began to creep him out.
"Wh-what's with all the shadows?" He asked as he followed Naruto as they leisurely walked through the village.
"They aren't real. This entire world is a manifestation of my childhood. When I said we were the same people, it kinda correlates here too. Since you're thirteen years old, you're seeing the world as it was for me at 13. Granted, only people that I allow here are able to truly be here. So all the villagers are simply fill ins."
"Yep. Still don't understand at all." Jaune nodded his head, making Naruto faceplant.
"Don't worry about it. For now, I think Ino-chan and Hinata-chan would want to explain some things too. So we're going to go have lunch. I don't know if they have it in your world, but here, we have the food of the gods!"
Jaune's eyes lit up. "Chocolate chip pancakes?"
Naruto turned a heated glare on the young boy, almost making him flinch. "What? No! Ramen!"
"What's ramen?"
The world seemed to go quiet as Naruto froze mid step. Jaune paused, turning to see a shocked look frozen on Naruto's face.
"Uh...you okay?" He asked, waving a hand in the older blondes face.
A pressure began to build as Naruto began to shake, his hair shadowing his eyes. Jaune took a step back, remembering what he had done the previous night.
"You...you really haven't even heard of ramen?"
"I...I think I have. Something with noodles right? It's only served in Anima...in Mistral I think."
Naruto grabbed Jaune and slung him over his shoulder. "You poor unfortunate soul! I'm so sorry! I truly should've reached out to you sooner! You've been living a farce of a life!"
"What the heck are you talking about? Put me down!"
"Don't worry, Jaune! I'll save you right now!" Naruto called before once again disappearing in a flash.
Jaune found himself still within the village, but this time in front a small food stand. And once again, he fell to his knees and began to gag.
"Seriously, Naruto?" Ino called, already sitting in one of the seats. "You were so eager to get here you had to use hiraishin on the poor boy?"
"You don't understand, Ino-chan! He's never had ramen before!"
Ino rolled her eyes but Hinata jumped up. "WHAT? This is terrible! Next you're going to tell me he's never had a cinnamon roll before!"
"Nope…" Jaune groaned from the ground weakly.
Hinata held her heart as if she had just been struck. Before she could grab the boy, Ino put her in a full nelson.
"Let me go Ino! He needs me! He doesn't know the joys of true pleasure!"
"One thing at a time hime!" Ino called, struggling with the girl. "Ramen first, cinnamon rolls later!"
That seemed to calm Hinata down, though she still sent pitiful glances at Jaune as he recovered. Jaune glared at Naruto once more, but it was just a weak gaze as he held his stomach.
"Stop...doing that…"
Ignoring him, Naruto grabbed the young teen and plopped him in a stool. "Old man, Code Cream!"
From the back of the store an older gentlemen and young woman emerged. The old man slammed his hands down on the counter. "Code Cream? Impossible! Everyone's had my ramen by now Naruto!"
Naruto shook his head and indicated to the still somewhat sick looking Jaune. "Our charge is back and I've just been informed of the grave news." The blonde addressed Jaune. "Don't worry kid. This is Teuchi Ichiraku, the greatest ramen maker in this reality and yours. He'll have you fixed right up."
"You act as if I'm dying…" Jaune called, but his stomach lurching a bit made him truly think he was.
"Living without ramen isn't truly living at all." Naruto explained, his eyes closed as if giving sagely wisdom. Ino face palmed while Hinata simply nodded her agreement with her husband.
The blonde mindwalker sighed. "As much as I hate to admit, this idiot did make me love ramen too. Not as much as these two addicts, but I've never had any as good as what the Ichiraku's could make."
"We'll get started on it right away! By the way, I'm Ayame Ichiraku, nice to meet you!" She said before moving to help her father fix up their meals.
Jaune gave a wave before letting his forehead hit the counter as his stomach began to settle once more. Ino patted the poor boys back.
"Don't worry, you'll get used to it."
"Doubt it." Jaune groaned.
Ino giggled. "Anyway, since it'll take a bit for the ramen, how much has Naruto explained to you so far?"
"Fuck all that I could understand."
"Figures." The blonde mindwalker shot a dirty look at Naruto whom just shrugged.
"If you can do better, by all means."
"Alright. So Jaune, do you even know what this place is called? Or even what we are?" Ino started. Jaune looked up for a moment before shaking his head.
"What you are? Ghost from a different reality right?"
Ino shook her head and chuckled. "Not what I meant. I mean, yeah, we are. But do you even know what type of abilities we're going to be teaching you? In your world, there are huntsman and huntress. But here, we're known as shinobi and kunoichi. Plus there are swordsman called samurai."
"Wait, you all are ninja? But you don't look like it!"
He stopped himself and had the grace to blush. He didn't know if what he was saying was disrespectful or not. The three didn't seem to mind though, all having bemused smiles on their faces. Naruto was the one to answer.
"The shinobi you are thinking of are predominant in other realities, being assassins and hidden clans, whereas our world is essentially governed by it. So while stealth and subterfuge still play a role in our world, shinobi are the main force of military might for most lands."
That was something Jaune could understand. It was like trying to hide an elephant in a pack of puppies.
"It's easier to say we're like magicians with a penchant for the shadows." Ino explained. "And as for this place, this is our hometown, Konohagakure; The Village Hidden in the Leaves."
Jaune looked around. "Not very well hidden…"
"THAT'S WHAT I SAID!" Naruto called.
"Anyway!" Ino cut them off angrily. "Beyond what we are is the energy we use. We have an energy called Chakra, while in your world there's a similar energy called Aura."
Jaune perked up at this. There was still a lot he needed to learn about aura since his parents hadn't unlocked his own.
"Wait…" Jaune paused. "My parents haven't unlocked my aura...how was I able to do all those things yesterday?"
"What things?" Naruto asked.
Jaune explained about his speed boost and his leap from the ground to his second story bedroom. He explained how it seemed like none of the bushes and brush could hurt him, as if he had a shell around himself.
"That's a hard one but...I think you may have unlocked a bit of your aura as chakra already." Hinata said. She moved to stand before Jaune before whispering 'Byakugan'. Jaune was a bit weirded out as veins appeared around and on the girls eyes. However, as she looked him up and down, he didn't move. "His chakra coils are absolutely massive, just like yours were Naruto-kun. But it's as if there's a seal on his entire chakra path way."
Ino frowned. "You said something about not having your aura unlocked? Is that a necessity in your world to use abilities?"
Jaune nodded. "Until we unlock our aura, we're essentially normal people."
"Man that sucks." Naruto called. A sharp glare from Ino and Hinata made him blush and scratch his head sheepishly. "I mean, in our world, all living beings are born with chakra. Even if some people can't utilize it very well, or much at all."
"Every thing with a soul has aura, it's just inaccessible until another person unlocks it."
Naruto rose an eyebrow. "That's strange. Then how did the first person to have aura unlock theirs?"
The young blonde froze again. "I...I don't know."
Ino smiled and gave Naruto an approving nod. "Seems to me like there's some history in your world not known to the public. But in this case, I would say that you having so much chakra, or aura in your case, has made you leak it a bit. After meeting up with us, it probably got a bit jump started. So even without your aura unlocked, you could probably train to match some of the best fighters in your world."
"That's part of it." Hinata picked up. "But the difference between aura and chakra is also effecting Jaune. Jaune does have a chakra pathway, which I don't think anyone else in his world would have. As such, I believe chakra and aura share the fact that they are spiritual energies. However, chakra also has physical energy, Jaune. Meaning that whatever aura anyone can sense from you in your world is only half of what you truly have."
Jaune's eyes widened and his jaw dropped. "That's amazing! That's amazing right?"
All three nodded. Hinata deactivated her byakugan and took her seat. "It means that not only will normal training that you would do as a huntsman make you stronger, Jaune, but simple physical and mental exercise will make you and your aura far stronger as well. Even just meditating could possibly increase your aura."
"You'll be able to get stronger than anyone else, in a fraction of the time." Naruto finished. Then his smile grew. "Which means I know just the technique to teach you first to make that fraction even smaller."
Hinata and Ino's eyes widened before they beamed at Naruto and Jaune. "He's right. There's a technique that Naruto has mastered that will make everything we all have here to teach you take even less time. Jaune...you will most definitely be the greatest huntsman in your world."
Jaune was getting more and more excited the more the trio spoke. He was practically bouncing in his seat as Teuchi and Ayame returned with their meals finally.
"So again...when do we start?" He called excitedly.
Naruto, Jaune, Ino, and Hinata stood back in the clearing from before. Ino and Hinata pulled out several scrolls and seemed to be searching through them all while Naruto stood across from Jaune in the center of the clearing. Jaune had an indignant blush on his face while Naruto had the biggest shit eating grin plastered to his own.
Jaune had entered a state of utter bliss upon taking his first bite of the ramen provided to him. The young teen had actually shed a tear as he tore into the bowl of ramen as if it were the first and last meal he would ever have. All patrons of the ramen shop watched in both fascination and horror in Ayame's case, as Jaune proceeded to devour 6 more bowls of ramen before coming back to his senses. Naruto had prodded the boy on how it had tasted and Jaune in all his mortification admitted that it was just as good or maybe better than chocolate chip pancakes.
Naruto hadn't stopped teasing him since, while Hinata had wanted to drag him to a bakery and force him to eat a cinnamon roll.
"So, you want to start or would you like to get some more ramen?" Naruto asked, holding in more laughter. Jaune just glared at the man, but hesitantly glanced back towards the village with thoughts of Ichiraku's tainting his mind.
"J-just shut up and start training me already!"
With a chuckle, Naruto nodded. "Alright then." Naruto created a single hand sign before another Naruto sprung to life in a small puff of smoke next to him. He grinned again as he saw Jaune's eyes widen and his jaw drop. He gave him a moment, seeing the boys gears spinning in his head, attempting to formulate a response. "So, yes, you will be learning this. This is a technique called Kage Bunshin, or Shadow Clone. It allows the user to make a solid copy of themselves devoid of self-preservation faculties."
The clone glared at the original. "We do too have self-preservation faculties! You're the one with a death wish!"
Naruto struck the clone without looking, making it vanish. "They do tend to have somewhat of a personality of their own sometimes. At least, it's more endearing to think of it that way instead of assuming you're going insane by arguing with yourself." Naruto was clearly a bit annoyed at the clone but shrugged it off.
"That's just a technique? Not a semblance or anything?"
"I'm going to assume a semblance is like a bloodline limit, so no. As Shinobi, you should know that we have access to different techniques called jutsu. That was one of them." Naruto then held his hand out, creating a small glowing orb of spiraling energy. "Like this. This is called the Rasengan. Something else I'll be teaching you, but much later. Chakra is used in all of these techniques, with this one being pure chakra."
Jaune was in awe. Making clones and balls of energy seemed like something right out of a comic book! Plus, he'd be able to do it all without even having access to whatever his own semblance would be!
"But back to the Kage Bunshin. On top of making solid clones of yourself that are capable of fighting along side you, the clones themselves have all of your knowledge up to the point of when you make them. Meaning you could think of a strategy on the fly and then make the clones. The clones won't need to be ordered to do anything since they'll already have the knowledge of what you wanted them to do."
Naruto once more made a clone. This time it immediately turned and dashed towards Ino and Hinata before scooping them both into its arms and alternating between kissing them deeply. The girls let out small shrieks of surprise before melting into the clones embrace and even sharing kisses between each other as well. Then they both punched the clone before shooting glares at Naruto.
"You're lucky that was sweet, but interrupt us again and we'll revoke your ramen privileges for a week." Ino called.
"Don't even joke about that." Naruto said seriously. Ino just smirked daringly at him and Naruto shivered, silently noting his defeat. "Freaking snarky wives. Can't have no fun."
"Uh…" Jaune was once again blushing, looking away from the trio and shifting a bit. Naruto blinked, honestly having forgot the boy was there for a moment. He ignored the way Jaune turned his body away, as if hiding his lower half.
"Right. Kage Bunshin. So they are also capable of performing jutsu as well, such as even more kage bunshin or the rasengan. However, it requires you to put far more chakra into each individual clone to do so. Now the main thing about the shadow clones are that whatever they learn gets sent back to the original, aka you, as memories. But since I'm so fucking awesome, I've created a variation of shadow clones that also sends back physical energy to the user, meaning physical exercise and their benefits can be transferred back to the original as well."
That part excited Jaune all over again. "That means you can stronger and faster twice as fast as anyone else!"
Naruto shook his head, confusing the younger teen. "Far more than that for people like me and you Jaune." Naruto performed another singular handsign. "Tajuu Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!" He called before a massive smoke cloud filled the clearing. Jaune closed his eyes as a burst of wind blew into him.
After a few seconds, he opened his eyes to find a veritable sea of Naruto all around him. There had to be at least a thousand of him!
The boy was once again left speechless as he immediately began to think of the implications of such a technique. If they could transfer both physical and mental knowledge and gains, he could read a life times worth of books in a single sitting! He could get the benefits of practicing a single sword swing in an instant! Hell, he could do both at the same time!
"Teach me." He simply said, his eyes filled with determination.
"Hold your horses there. First, we need to make sure you can even mold chakra properly. And for that, we're going to teach you two of the three basic jutsu all shinobi need to know. Henge and Kawarimi."
"Which are…" Jaune asked, beginning to wonder what the weird words they said sometimes were. Why they called each other -chan, -kun, or -sama.
"Henge is a transformation jutsu." Naruto did a different hand sign and turned into an exact copy of Jaune. Jaune stumbled back, not having expected such.
"EVIL DOPPLEGANGER! DIE YOU FIEND!" Jaune picked up a rock and threw it at his clone, but it was caught with an annoyed glare.
Naruto released the henge and tossed the rock up and down. "It's technically just supposed to be an illusion, but once again, it's an actual transformation for me and you. That's to say, we truly become the person we turn into. With Ino's help, I was even able to develop a technique that allows me to retrieve the memories of the person I turn into. It's definitely great for espionage, or even getting the memories of a deceased person."
Jaune sobered up at that and truly thought of the benefits of such a technique.
"But you have to be careful. Since we truly become the person, the longer we stay as them, the harder it is to remember who you truly are. Having people that are able to dispel the technique for you will be key to utilizing it to its fullest." Naruto glanced to Ino and Hinata once more, a ghost of a sad smile on his lips. Jaune nodded, a little less enthused to use the technique.
Then he blushed as he gazed at Hinata and Ino as well.
"Uh...does that mean when you turn into...a girl...you really…"
Naruto smirked and nodded. "Fully functional."
A small trickle of blood flowed from the younger teens nose before he quickly shook his head and attempted to banish any unclean thoughts from himself. Unfortunately, Naruto had other ideas.
"That does also mean you could make a shadow clone and have it transform into a girl and-"
Before he could continue, a wooden mass erupted from the ground beneath him, in the shape of a hand. It grabbed him and seemed to squeeze tightly. Jaune looked to see Ino standing with a hand raised towards Naruto and a green glow about her body.
"Don't you dare give him that type of idea!" She yelled before making the wooden hand sling Naruto back into the forest, throwing up a massive dust cloud and toppling hundreds of trees in the process.
Jaune was impressed and terrified to see that the older blonde had seemed to crash through at least 10 kilometers of forestland.
"Ano, Jaune-kun, the other technique you'll be learning is kawarimi, or substitution. It allows the user to swap places with a nearby person or object in the blink of an eye." Hinata called as she approached Jaune. She picked up the rock he had originally thrown at Naruto and handed it back to him. "Please throw this at me. You can do it whenever, even without warning."
Once she handed him the stone, Hinata turned away and began to walk towards the opposite end of the clearing. Feeling a little mischievous, Jaune reared back and threw the stone while her back was still turned. For a moment, he was afraid he was going to hit the girl in the back of the head. However, in the same instance, he was instead looking at the forest much closer than before. Then he felt a sharp pain in the back of his head.
"Oww! What the hell?" He turned to see Hinata now behind him, a mirthful grin on her face. He looked down to see the rock he had thrown at his feet. "Wait...how?"
"I substituted with you. I was going to use a log, but thought I'd teach you a little lesson too." She giggled.
Jaune blushed and gave a quiet apology. Hinata waved it off before once again substituting, but this time with a log that sat with the scrolls that she and Ino had been looking through.
"This technique require somewhat precise chakra control, since you have to spread out your perception and chakra to the object you wish to switch with. As for switching with people, if they resist with their own chakra, it can cause a failure or make it useless all together. Only switch with people who are willing or unaware."
Jaune nodded, once again noting the usefulness of such a technique. For a fact, he knew switching with an object in motion must be far more difficult than an object that's stationary.
"I deserved that." Naruto's voice called out as he appeared back in the clearing in a flash. Ino rolled her eyes.
"You deserve worse. Besides, me and Hinata-chan will be the ones to explain all of that to Jaune."
"I know about the birds and the bees already…" Jaune mumbled, annoyed that they seemed to think he was completely ignorant. He had already started puberty, granted, he was still waiting and hoping for a growth spurt.
"Oh believe me, Jaune. There's a lot more to the birds and bees than your parents told you about. Especially since you're a catalyst." Ino nodded towards Hinata. "I hope you don't mind multiple partners. But that's something for another time."
Jaune couldn't help the blush on his face. He may have known about the birds and the bees but his bravado of knowing anything past the basics was just a farce. He wasn't at all comfortable talking about the subject just yet, let alone something about multiple partners. How the heck did that even work?
Naruto's serious aura filled the clearing once more, making Hinata and Ino stiffen. "Alright. Since we've already used up quite a bit of time for today, let's get right into teaching you those two techniques. Usually learning how to mold chakra as well as the hand sings required to aid in the feat would take years. But seeing as you don't have that kind of time, me and Ino will be cheating a bit."
Naruto sat on the ground cross legged and motioned for Jaune to sit in front of him. Jaune joined the man as Ino approached and sat facing them both as they faced each other. Naruto closed his eyes and took a meditative position.
"Alright Jaune." Ino started. "Follow Naruto's lead and try to relax and meditate if you can. I'm going to transfer Naruto's memories and experience of those jutsu to you."
"No." Naruto called, eyes still closed. Ino flinched but looked at the man in confusion.
"Naruto-kun, we agreed that-"
The blonde opened an eye. "I know. But I think it'd be better for him to have it all."
Jaune gazed between the two with no idea what they were talking about. "Have all of what?"
Naruto looked Jaune in the eye for moment. He sighed and closed his eyes again.
"You're going to have all of my memories up until my thirteenth birthday. Not only will this give you all the experience you'll need to know how to mold chakra and perform jutsu, it'll also give you a different perspective on the life of a shinobi. Granted, until my 13th birthday, I was exceptionally stupid."
Jaune didn't want to take the mans memories. Though he knew gaining the knowledge of how to utilize jutsu and chakra would be beneficial, he didn't know if prying into someone elses private thoughts was worth it. But, he wasn't prying. He was being offered the information.
He was snapped from his thoughts when he felt a hand on his own. Ino gave him a small reassuring smile. Hinata approached his opposite side and took his other hand. Her own gaze was not reassuring. There were tears already starting to form in the girls eyes.
"Jaune-kun...you'll see and experience somethings that will be hard to understand and deal with. Just do your best to stay strong."
Jaune swallowed at the foreboding words and looked to the older man before him. 'What has he been through before turning 13?' He wondered.
Ino moved back into position before motioning for Jaune to relax. Once he was in a meditative mind state as well, Ino placed a hand on both Naruto and Jaune's foreheads. She closed her eyes and began to perform two separate hand signs on them both. Once done, a small pulse blew up a bit of dust around them all.
Naruto flinched while Jaune's eyes snapped open, his mouth widening in a silent scream. His eyes seemed to dart too and fro as if looking at invisible things in the air. In only a moment, he fell to his back, unconscious. Naruto slowly opened his eyes and sighed.
"He's had a pretty normal childhood besides the disappointment of thinking he was weak." Naruto explained. Ino nodded, already knowing since she had access to his mind as well. Hinata continued to hold Jaune's hand, listening sadly. "My memories may be too much for him. Especially that night…"
Hinata held her breath as Jaune's grip tightened on her hand. He bolted upwards, tears streaming down his cheeks. He looked around, his breath heavy as if he had just been submerged in water. His eyes landed on Naruto and Hinata before the tears burst even more than before. The blonde teen threw himself into Hinata's chest, the girl immediately hugging him tightly and whispering soothing words to him.
Ino rubbed her arm sadly. There was a memory that kick started the entire ascent into godhood for Naruto and Hinata. Something that she hadn't been apart of. Though she had seen the memory and had already gone through her own grief, it was nothing like experiencing it first hand. Since Jaune was a catalyst as Naruto, he could experience every single emotion Naruto had.
"They...they killed you! They killed you both!" Jaune cried into Hinata's embrace.
"It's alright, Jaune-kun." Hinata whispered. "It's alright. It's because of that night that me and Naruto-kun are capable of being here now."
The wave of sorrow that was unleashed from Jaune seemed to make the air sag. The group simply sat and let the boy let out all of his grief for as long as he needed. It was the most pain he would experience for a long time. A pain that he needed to know now. If he were to experience that same pain later, even with all the training, there's no guarantee he would be able to handle it.
The memory of Naruto and Hinata losing their lives at the hand of villagers as academy students. Not even fully fledged genin at the time. All for something that Naruto himself did not have control over.
It would take at least another 20 minutes before Jaune was completely calmed down. Hinata had taken to holding the boy protectively, almost lashing out at Naruto as he told them they needed to continue his training. The mother lioness they always knew lied within Hinata had surfaced.
"I'm sorry." Jaune said to them both.
"It's like Hinata-chan said already." Naruto stood and offered a hand to Jaune. "It's already alright. It happened so many lifetimes ago and is the reason we're capable of being here now. Just remember the pain Jaune, and strive to make sure that nothing like that happens to anyone you care about in your reality."
He nodded and took the offered hand.
"Do you still want to train tonight?" Ino asked.
Jaune nodded. "The faster I get stronger, the better I'll be prepared to protect the people I care about."
The trio smiled at his words. Hinata pulled him into another hug, pulling his head into her ample bosom. "I'm sure you'll do just fine, Jaune-kun."
The boy blushed, but pushed the perverted thoughts away as the words she spoke proved to settle his resolution. Becoming the greatest huntsman wasn't his only goal. It couldn't be. He truly needed to become the strongest, for the sake of his sisters and parents. For the people who suffered daily at the hands of grimm. For the sake of their world.
"So which do you want to learn first?" Naruto inquired.
"The substitution one."
With a nod, Naruto, Ino, and Hinata began the boys training.
It would be rigorous.
It would be grueling.
It would-
"I can't do it!" Jaune called, laid out on his back with sweat pouring from every orifice of his body.
Naruto sighed and scratched his head. For all of the promise the boy showed, for some reason, he just couldn't properly switch. At most, he had gone about two feet, but the rock he had wanted to switch with simply vibrated. It had been half an hour and they just couldn't figure out what he was doing wrong.
Hinata herself stared at the boy in confusion. She knew Ino's memory transfer was flawless. Plus, with Jaune being a catalyst, it should've given him the exact feeling he needed to mold and utilize chakra. Yet every time the boy did his hand signs, almost no chakra would mold at all. It was almost as if he was sealed…
The starry eyed princesses eyes widened. "He must need to have his aura unlocked!" Hinata called.
Her two lovers looked to her with confusion. Jaune groaned from the ground.
"His aura? Does that mean he won't be able to properly use jutsu unless his aura is unlocked?"
Hinata nodded and activated her byakugan. "Jaune-kun, just one more time please. Attempt to substitute with that stone."
Jaune nodded weakly before sitting up and slowly standing. Taking a moment to prepare himself, he flared through the few hand signs before attempting to focus his chakra on the rock. Hinata watched as his chakra half of his aura molded properly, however, the spiritual half of the energy only strained out. It was like a dam being held back and it messed up the flow of the energy that wasn't locked within him. Once again, Jaune vanished and appeared a single foot from where he was while the rock scooted a half inch. Jaune stopped the jutsu and fell to his hands and knees.
"The spiritual connection between chakra and aura is stunting his control. He isn't able to release it in a stable enough manner. Until he unlocks his aura, that's as far as we can go." She said sadly.
"So I'm still going to be weak?" Jaune asked dejectedly, his fist clenched as he still panted on the ground.
None of the older trio said anything. Unfortunately, even with all their knowledge and power, unlocking aura was not one of them. Even Ino couldn't receive the memories from Jaune since he himself didn't know how to do it.
"If it's at all possible, you should get your father to unlock your aura for you Jaune." Naruto sighed. "I don't know what it'll take to convince him, but if you can get it done before returning tomorrow night, we'll be able to finish the basic jutsu training."
Jaune didn't want to hear that. There was no way his parents would unlock his aura after the previous day. There was almost nothing he could do to convince them he needed it…
"Wait!" Jaune's head snapped up. "I may have an idea!" Jaune called and jumped up. "How much time do we have left here tonight?"
Naruto placed a hand under his chin. "I'd say about an hour. What's up?"
"Is there any training you guys can give me that doesn't require the use of jutsu. Like weapons or taijutsu?"
The trio nodded. "Yeah, but it'll be more effective if we can get you the shadow clone jutsu." Ino answered. "What's this idea of yours?"
"I'm going to use my parents forge. If I can make something and show a bit of skill with what I make, I'm sure my dad will let me unlock my aura to use the forge and test weapons. Even if I don't have any intention of fighting grimm. Usually we end up letting him, my mom, or my older sisters test them, but they'll probably let me spar with them at least. And for that, I'll start needing my aura!"
"Nice!" Naruto agreed. "Alright then! Let's get started on some hand to hand combat! Plus, I know just the two to get you up to speed in record time!"
Ino and Hinata's excitement went form full to almost non-existant. They looked at their lover before paling. "Naruto-kun, we agreed we'd wait before introducing those two to him." Ino pleaded almost in fear.
"Ah, he'll be fine!" Naruto called.
Jaune rose a brow in interest. "Who are you talking about?"
Naruto's smile became devious. "It's time I introduced you to my friends, Rock Lee and Maito Guy!"
The name's meant nothing to Jaune as the two weren't in Naruto's memories up to the point in which he got them. However, a terrifying chill went down his spine as the silence of clearing was interrupted by an echoing faint of a yell. Jaune's stomach seemed to coil in itself as he heard the word…
"YOOOOOUUUUUTH!"
I enjoyed writing this chapter much more than the last one. I have a little bit planned out for the next few chapters, but I'm trying to wing a lot of it as much as possible.
So I probably won't go into too much detail with any of the training that Jaune does, and I will be doing several time skips during his training. I do want some of the things he can do to be a mystery, or at least not completely shown. Everything that Naruto, Hinata, and Ino have done will be able to be done by Jaune later though.
Well, hope you enjoyed this! I'll try to get the next chapter up within a week or two!
Until Next Time Loves!
