Levi watched as Eren yelled in frustration across the meadow. Eren stalked back over to Levi, holding his bloodied hand close. 'Captain I'm sorry, I can't do it' He avoided eye contact. Frustration bubbled through Levi. 'What do you mean you can't?! What the fuck are we supposed to do Eren?' Eren continued to look at the grass, is face scrunched with guilt. If Levi had two working legs he probably would have got up and slapped some sense into the boy. Instead he was reduced to slamming his already hurt hand into the ground.
"He searched Eren for an answer. 'Tell me Eren, what do you think we can do? Just stay in this village and wait for some titans to come and eat us?!' His voice rising. 'I'm sorry okay!' Eren finally lifted his head to meet Levi's gaze. 'Ugh, I just don't want to hurt you again!' Frustration rang through his words. Levi could only look into the green eyes, a little stunned. 'Forget my leg, I'd rather you break it again then be stuck out here.' He spoke slowly yet sharply. Eren squeezed his eyes, trying to find his titan form. Alas, it was pointless, he couldn't get the image of hurting the captain again out of his head, it didn't matter how willing Levi was.
Levi sighed, clearly seeing this wasn't going to work. What could they do indeed, they were sitting ducks. They were surrounded with ruins of buildings on one side and sparse trees on all others. They could fight off a titan if it came, well, he knew he could if his leg wasn't broken. Eren on the other hand, in his titan form would be fine, but human? To unreliable. Had he even managed to kill a titan before? He couldn't help but release another sigh. This is just great.
"Levi's condition caught up to him as he began to slump against the wooden house, falling a little. 'Captain!' Eren breathed, quickly going to Levi's in hoped to not let him fall. 'I'm fine brat' Levi exhaled weakly. 'No you can't stay out here, you should get some rest.' Eren went to wrap his arm again around Levi. Levi begrudgingly let himself be practically dragged to the rickety grey bed once again, mumbling words like 'we can't stay here' and 'I'm fine Eren'. His body betrayed him as he was lowered onto the bed, blankets pulled around him, and refused to move. Every movement brought aches and sharp pains, laying still on the somewhat soft bed definitely seemed like a better option.
"Eren carefully unfasten belts and weapons, them being clunky and definitely not comfortable to sleep in. His fingers brushed along the fabric of the Captain's trousers and shirt. It was almost, intimate how close he was. I guess the action of undressing someone, being belts or articles of clothing, you can't help but feel it's an intimate action. A little to intimate. Eren, startled by his thoughts. quickly yet gently pulled the rest of the belts of the Captains body. Unable to help his face growing in heat. Thankfully, he was pretty sure Levi was fast asleep because Eren knew that is Levi were conscious he would never hear the end of it. /
"Eren wasn't sure how'd his bag managed to survive him turning into a titan but his gear was no where to be found. He was just thankful they had one set that seemed still in tact. 'I'll keep watch outside Captain, so you don't need to worry.' With one last glance, Eren made his way to the entrance of the house, making post beside the door.
"Eren began to slip on the belts around his legs. If a titan did show up, might as well be ready. The belts were very snug against his body, clearly intended for someone much smaller. Nothing a little adjusting couldn't fix. It wasn't what he was used to, but he could make it work. Hopefully. Eren let himself sit on the damp grass, leaning on the old house. The wind blew innocently through the grass and towering trees. Besides a couple of birds, these were the only sounds to be heard. Eren scanned the surrounding area for any sort of threat. He stayed there for dragging hours, but nothing came. Only the sun dipping under the tree line.
