Things were always bleak in the Camden Asylum for the Criminally Insane. This was home to some of the worst nut cases in all of Camden Town. The cells were padded with little white pillows all over the room, complete with a tiny window to let the guards keep an eye on the patients. But mostly, the psychos were wrapped up in snug straitjackets with masks over their heads to keep them from trying to escape.
But one cell in particular was completely reinforced with steel walls and no lighting with only cockroaches to keep her company. This was one of Camden's most dangerous Criminals. Her appearance was grotesque. Her face looked like it was slowly peeling off, her limbs were old and withered, and her teeth yellow and green. But most of all she had a completely black heart to match her hideous features. This was Cruella De Vil, and she was as evil and nasty as her name implied. She was currently serving a life sentence for massive counts of animal murder, including against dogs.
As she sat in her cell, sparks of hatred grew in her mind. Every day, she would remember her failure in getting revenge against a certain family of dogs by going after their descendants. But her great-grandnephew, Hunter had betrayed her at the last minute of her plan, and had accidentally knocked her into a skinning machine, destroying her already-broken face. And the police had sent her to this asylum to be imprisoned for her crimes, along with multiple counts of killing rare animals and selling them to exotic bidders illegally on the black market, courtesy of Hunter ratting her out.
As Cruella sat counting the days, her cell door opened and a couple of guards picked her up and got her onto a wheelchair, chained her to it, and wheeled her to the visiting area. As she was wheeled to the visitor's room, her cell mates backed away in fear, as she was known to be a criminal legend for a reason. As the one of the guards opened the door, she was met by a certain ally of hers, Jacob Greenwater, sitting in a booth with a phone next to him. The guard wheeled Cruella to her booth, took the phone from its resting place and placed it against her ear. Jacob took his phone and pressed it against his ear.
Cruella: "Tell me you've finally figured a way to get me out of this rat trap. I can't spend another day in this dungeon!"
Jacob: "We're trying to, but since your great-grandnephew Hunter…"
Cruella: "NEVER mention that traitor's name to me again."
Jacob: "Sorry. He's cut us off of the company ever since he got his new assistant promoted to head of the company. We don't have any legal authority to get you released from here."
Creulla: "So, you've just come to tell me I'm going to spend the rest of my life in this hellhole?! What do I pay you for?!"
Jacob: "Boss, calm down! We may not be able to get you out of here by legal means, but we've been working on something to not only get you out, but to also help you fix…"
Cruella: "My face? Tell me more."
Jacob: "A few days ago, this meteor shower showed up into space and a few of them crashed to Earth. One of them landed in a warehouse and a couple of our espionage guys grabbed it. We don't know where it came from, but it's loaded with some very powerful stuff. We've tested the formula on a few injured animals, and the results were incredible! The injuries weren't just healed, the subjects also began developing mutant attributes."
Cruella: "Mutant attributes?"
Jacob: "Superpowers. But a human study showed that the mutagen only affects animals. However, we've managed to tweak it into a powerful substitute. And you're going to be the first subject to try it!"
Cruella: "Well, that sounds delightful! But there's one problem…"
Jacob: "What?"
Cruella: "YOU HAVE TO GET ME OUT OF THIS DUNGEON FIRST!"
Jacob pushed the phone away from his ear in fear.
Jacob: "Easy! We're working on it! By tonight you'll be out of here… if you agree to it of course."
Cruella: " I agree. But I want to know when and how I'll leave."
Jacob: "Be ready at 9:00. We've got someone to get you out while the others start a riot."
Crella: "Thank you. Report back to the second in command when you get out of here."
Jacob hangs up and walks away. Cruella is wheeled back to her cell by her guards. Jacob heads out of the asylum and gets into his car. He pulls out his phone and calls his other boss.
Jacob: "She's in."
?: "Excellent. You've done a perfect job there, Jacob. Report back here immediately. We begin preparations for tonight."
Jacob: "Understood." He hung up and got into his car. He took it out of his parking space, and drove off.
Meanwhile, on the other side of town, Hunter De Vil was coming out of his latest court-ordered therapy session. His therapist, Hailey Jefferson, was walking with him to his limo.
Dr Jefferson: "You're making very good progress with your experiences, Hunter. You'll still need to be here for a few more weeks, but other than that, you're really pushing through on your trauma with your great aunt. We just need to deal with your dog episodes and you'll be fine."
Hunter: "Thank you, doctor. I'll be waiting for our next visit."
He entered his limo and the driver took off.
Driver: "So how was your latest therapy session, master Hunter?"
Hunter: "It was well. I can't believe that Doctor Jefferson helped me get through all of the torment Cruella put me through. Or that it's been a year since she was arrested. It just feels like the end of a new beginning."
Driver: "Good for you, master. I hope the rest of your sessions go as well as this…"
Hunter's phone rang.
Hunter: "Oh. Excuse me, driver, I need to take this." Hunter answered the phone. "Hello?"
Doug: "Hello, Hunter."
Hunter: "Doug? To what do I owe this pleasure?"
Doug: "We need your help with something. You're the only human we know who can speak Canine, and we have a problem here."
Hunter: "Problem with what?"
An explosion was heard from Doug's side.
Doug: "No! Bad Dimitri's! Stop blowing things up!"
Hunter: "Blowing things up? What's going on over there?!"
Doug: "Well, the simple thing is, we all have a condition…."
"A rumble of thunder is heard."
Doug: Dorothy, calm down! Please don't cry!
Hunter: "What the heck was that?!"
Doug: "We'll tell you everything that happened. Can you help us?"
Hunter: "Alright, I'll be right there!" He hangs up. "Driver, take me to 101 Dalmatian Street! And step on it!"
Driver: "Right away, sir!" He slammed his foot to the pedal, and drove through traffic as fast as he could. As he drove through traffic, he passed through pedestrians, other motorists, and a couple who were about to kiss until they finally reached 101 Dalmatian Street, where a massive storm cloud had formed.
Hunter: "What the…"
Hunter got out and banged onto the door. He waited for a couple seconds, until Dylan opened the door.
Dylan: "Hunter? What in dog's name are you doing here?"
Hunter: "Your dad called me! Why the heck is there a massive storm cloud here?!"
Dylan: "It's nothing! Go home! We can deal with this!"
Delilah (offscreen) : "Dylan, let him in! He's a guest!"
Dylan: "Mum, he…"
Delilah (offscreen): "I know! But he still saved our lives! Let him in!"
Dylan grudgingly let Hunter inside the house.
Hunter: "What in God's name is going on here?!"
Dolly showed up in a portal, walked in front of a shocked Hunter.
Dolly: "Well, we found a meteor from outer space that's filled with a weird goo that gives people superpowers. Unfortunately, everyone in the house has been covered in this stuff, including Dorothy, who got a sudden age up from her exposure and the power to control the weather. And right now, she's VERY cranky."
Hunter (Sarcastically): "Oh, that's wonderful! Any more great news I should know?"
Dolly: "Well, you should watch out for that."
A lamp sails at Hunter, who dodges out of the way. A teenage pup stood in the doorway, bringing a fierce wind into the house as she walked in.
Hunter: "That's Dorothy? Well, this is gonna be fun…"
Meanwhile, in an old warehouse...
A scientist was analyzing a pink substance inside a red and pink meteorite. He was sucking it from the meteor and into a large container, which was mixed with other chemicals into a perfume bottle. A shadowy figure stepped into the room.
?: "How is the perfume concoction going, Doctor Crystal?"
Dr. Chrystal: "Perfectly!" Laughs evilly. "It's almost ready for Cruella! I found a unique quirk in the effects of the meteor slime. It can reverse the effects of aging as well as heal wounds! I have extracted that element and added an additional ingredient to it, to increase the effect rate."
?: Purr-fect. Make sure it's ready for when the extraction team gets ready to start the riot and to get our guest in 3 hours.
The shadowy figure leaves the lab and lets the doctor continue.
At nighttime, Dorothy had finally calmed down and was taking a nap along with a few other pups, while Delilah was explaining everything to Hunter.
Delilah: "And that's why we need your help. If any of the pups lose control of their powers like Dorothy, our family could be broken apart!"
Hunter: "Well, what do you want me to do?"
Delilah: "We need a place for us to make sure that we can properly use our powers. Can you find a place that can be suitable?"
Hunter: "Well, I'll see what I can do, but what you're asking is a tall order, Delilah. De Vil Industries is being reworked into an environmentalist company, and we're still under investigation. I can try, but I can't promise anything."
Delilah: "All we ask is that you try, Hunter. If you can't find a place to help us, no one else can."
Hunter: "Well, I'll do my best, Delilah. After everything that happened between us, it's the least I can do. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to meet up with my assistant."
Hunter gets off the couch and walks to the door. Doug opens it for him, and he leaves to his limo.
Doug: "That went well. Let's hope he pulls through for us."
Dylan: "He probably won't. I bet he's going to rat us out to the government the first chance he gets."
Doug: "Dylan, I know you don't trust Hunter after the last few times we've met, but he still put his life on the line for us. We should do the same for him."
Dylan: "Dad, he's a De Vil! You and Mum know better than anyone that a De Vil shouldn't be trusted!"
Delilah: "Dylan, Cruella was the monster who put us through the trauma on the ship, not Hunter. We should be grateful he saved our lives that night and that he's offered to help. Dwelling on his past mistakes is only gonna make this even harder to deal with."
Dylan: "(sighs) Alright, I'll try to be more friendly with him next time. But right now, he's a stick of dynamite in my book."
Dylan picks up a chew toy and blasts it with his paw, turning it into a stick of Dynamite.
Dylan: "And he could blow us off at any time."
His stomach rumbles.
Dylan: Ohhh… I need a lamppost!
He runs outside.
Meanwhile, at the Camden Asylum…
It was lights out for the prisoners. As everyone shut of the lights to the rooms, Cruella was waiting for her clock to strike 9:00. It was currently 8:59.
Cruella: "Just a few more seconds, and I'll be free of this rat trap!"
Guard: "Free of this place? Look lady, you're never getting out of here! This place is sealed up tight! A loony toon like you will never get outta this nut house!"
Cruella: "Poor fool. Always underestimating a genius…"
The clock struck 9:00, and an alarm began to sound.
Guard: "What the…? What's going on?"
Cruella: "Like I said…
Every cell door's electronic locks opened at once, and the doors opened, causing the confused patients to wake up and notice.
Suddenly, eerie vocalized music emmeted from the loudspeakers, causing the prisoners to become angry and soon a riot had broken out, with patients ripping out of their jackets and attacking guard, freeing others, carving weapons, and attempting to break out of the place.
The Head Doctor had noticed the guards were being taken down, so he activated the Asylum's lockdown mode. Metal Shutters shut down every door leading to an exit.
But outside, a yellow sports car had pulled up to the front entrance. Suddenly it glowed and morphed into a huge tank with a plasma cannon. It aimed its cannon at the door's shutters fired a massive plasma blast at them, blowing it up and caused prisoners to start escaping from the premises.
The tank then morphed into a large hovercraft, taking off to the other side of the Asylum. Inside, Cruella was sitting patiently in her cell waiting for her pickup to arrive, while the guard pointed his taser at her.
Guard: "Y-you won't get out of here, Cruella! I make sure that…
Cruella: "Oh, don't tell me that. Tell it to HIM."
The guard turned around and saw a giant muscular warthog monster staring him right in the face. The guard dropped his gun and began wetting his pants in fear. The monster swung his right arm to his left and back handed the scared guard into a wall, knocking him out.
Cruella: "Well, took you long enough. Get me out of this jacket."
The monster picked her up, grabbed her jacket, ripped it off, and set Cruella down gently.
Cruella: "Well, thank you. Now get me out of here! I'm hungry for some revenge and power!"
The warthog beast took Cruella in a bridal style hold, put her on his back, and began to walk out of the cell. On his way to the roof, he was ambushed by guards and fired at, but the bullets bounced off of him. He then wound up and clapped his hands together, creating a shockwave that sent them flying into the walls behind them. The warthog continued his way to the staircase and headed up to the roof. Once he got up there, the hovercraft was waiting for them. The warthog jumped up using his powerful legs, and got into the hovercraft. Inside there were anthropomorphic animals. A purple songbird, a rat with computer circuitry on his body a Jaguar dressed as a luchador, a Polar Bear with both of his front paws looking like a pair of snowblowers, and the pilot was a Labrador with a helmet on. Next to him was a hairless cat.
Mr Cuddles: "Hello, boss."
Cruella: "Cuddles. Nice to know you'd be here for my escape. I always knew I could count on you."
Mr Cuddles: "Always a pleasure, boss. Ice Breaker, we need a snow storm."
The polar bear raised his snowblower arms out of the hovercraft, and blasted the prison with cyan and white tornadoes, causing it to begin to ice and snow to start forming in the air. As snow began to continue forming, the harsh winds began to whip it wildly, causing the entire asylum to be trapped in a massive snowstorm.
Ice Breaker: "That should keep them busy."
Mr. Cuddles: "Nitro, get us out of here."
The Labrador nodded and piloted the plane away from the institute.
Cuddles: "So, how does it feel to be free, boss?"
Cruella: "It'll feel a lot better once I get my youth back, and especially when I make sure that the traitor and his pack of Dogs gets what's coming to them. Speaking of him, how's my company doing?"
Cuddles: "Uh, well… It's successful, but it's an environmentalist company now."
Cruella: "WHAT?! Ahhhhh! OK, Objective number one… get my youth back! Objective number two… rip that boy in HALF!"
Cuddles (Scared): "Of course boss! Right away, boss!"
The hovercraft flies off and the police arrive at the iced over institution.
Author's Notes: If anyone is wondering why Dylan left for a lamppost, I'll explain. Dylan's powers cause him to absorb molecules into his body when he changes or creates an object, and can build up if he continues, which causes his excretory system to trigger to remove it to keep from affecting his health, like Atom Eve. Another thing, the reason the mutagen only affects animals is because human cells are too unstable for the mutagen to stabilize itself in, thus the need for tweaking to make sure it stays active. One more thing, the Dalmatians can become anthropomorphic as a transformation into their true mutant forms, which are triggered at will if they have enough knowledge on how it works, like the monsters Cruella has working for her.
