Diana and Sucy groaned from the pain that they got from the portal blast. Sucy slowly got up and rubbed her head to try and ease down the pain. She looked around at her surrounding, she spots Diana slowly getting up as well, Sucy assumes this is Luna Nova's library, she spots burned book pages and covers scattered all around them, now that she got a more closer look, she sees that the whole library is burned to ash, leaving a hole in the roof.
"Ms. Manbavran! What the heck was-" Diana started to yell at Sucy, but she stopped when she took a look around, she almost dropped her wand. "What happened to Luna Nova? What did you do?! What did Akko do?!"
"We didn't do anything, you did. Also, that wasn't Akko, it was Akko from another universe," Sucy explains. She pulls out her wand and begins a tracking spell.
"What are you looking for with that tracking spell?" Diana asks.
"Our way out of here," Sucy finds the black book that Atsuko used, but it was slightly burnt, but the pages were still intact. She flipped through a couple of them. "I need to find the page."
An explosion occurred that made Sucy and Diana jump.
"We should go," Diana says.
They ran out of the library, they looked over to see Luna Nova destroyed, almost burned to the ground, they saw a couple of people placing bombs inside of Luna Nova and setting them off.
"What happened?" Diana asks herself.
They continued to run until they reached a nearby town, but everyone in the town started to glare at them. Muttering multiple slurs against witches, Sucy didn't know what happened to make them so angry, but she knew one thing, they hated witches.
"We need to go inside, we need new clothes, we need to take off our uniforms and lay low," Sucy says. They spotted a hotel and went inside, the lady at the front desk glared at them.
"We serve no witches," She says.
"We're not witches," Sucy stated. "We just dress like this so we don't get killed like them, wands and all."
"Ok…" The Lady says she seemed to agree with Sucy's words. "We have extra clothes in the back, I'll give them to you when you enter your room, unless you want separate rooms."
"One room is fine," Diana says as she takes the key from the Lady.
Sucy and Diana enter a room and the lady comes in a few minutes later with some normal clothes. Diana and Sucy took off their uniforms and put on the other clothes.
"There has got to be someplace more private," Diana says, she picks up the black book Sucy found. "We can perform this spell without any problems. If you say we are in a different universe, we can't stay here for long."
"Maybe if we can find the reason why this universe hates witches, well hates witches even more than usual in our universe," Sucy says. "Maybe there is a library around that hasn't got any burnt books."
"Whatever happens to us, I hope that your friends are ok," Diana says.
Sucy chuckles, "Even Akko?"
Diana glared at her, "She may be bad at magic, but at least she isn't where we are."
Lotte couldn't believe it, she was in the same room as the infamous Shiny Chariot, and in this universe where Atsuko is her daughter. Lotte couldn't wrap her head around it, but she could understand the multiverse. Lotte was shown into Constance's workshop, which was the same as in her universe, Atsuko points to a computer with various universes listed.
"We managed to find a couple of universes, but we don't know much about them, when your Universe's Diana shot a magic beam at the portal, causing a split in the transport, putting them somewhere in the multiverse. Thanks to a spell we found, we can track them in Universe M," Atsuko explains. She gives the book to her mother Chariot and guides Lotte to a desk. "We can send you back to your universe if you want, my counterpart might be very worried."
"I want to make sure that Sucy and Diana are safe, I want to help, maybe you can send someone over?" Lotte says.
"We have only communicated between two universes, yours and another's, it's like yours but-" Atsuko tried to explain.
"Just do it! Send Akko here, maybe get some help from our universe as well. How long will it take for us to get into that universe?" Lotte asks.
"An hour, we're packing up what we need, I'll give you a bag, follow me," Atsuko says.
Lotte follows Atsuko to her dorm room, which looked the same as in her universe, but Akko's side was more nerdy, it had books and papers scattered all over. Lotte sees a picture of a toddler Akko being held by a younger Chariot. She picks it up.
"What happened in this universe?" Lotte asks. "I never even seen Chariot in person before, but in this universe she's your mom."
Atsuko packs a bag and gives it to Lotte, "well, Chariot in this universe became more of a witch agent instead of an entertainer, because of that, she never used the Shiny Rod and became more discredited in the witch community. She was supposed to put away a dark wizard, but she redeemed him. That dark wizard was my father, they didn't like their relationship, so they separated. I only see my father in secret."
"I noticed your...umm…" Lotte muttered.
"My high IQ? I don't know what happened, but I think it's because of my parents genetics. I joined Luna Nova much younger than I would and I have practiced magic ever since."
"I mean how am I like in this universe?"
"My Lotte is on a vacation studying magic spirits. So you won't get to meet her, but she is the same as you, so is my Sucy, who is with her on her vacation. Everyone else is the same in your universe, except for Diana."
"How is your Diana different?"
"My Diana is jealous of me, extremely jealous. She wanted me gone from Luna Nova, so a month ago we decided on a magical duel. We were evenly matched, but she got soad she almost killed me with a spell, she was expelled because of that. We don't even see her anymore."
"My Diana is uneasy, yes. She makes mistakes, yes. But she wouldn't even try to kill my Akko, she's not like that," Lotte says sadly.
"And I'm glad for that. The problem with other universes is that you find something that is more beneficial, but you lose something that you know from your universe."
"I guess that's true," Lotte really likes how smart Akko is, Atsuko gave her a bag and they left the dorm room.
"We should go, my mother is already starting the portal."
Sucy and Diana left the hotel to find an usable library. But they found something more interesting.
"Over here!" Sucy says they both run into an alleyway, but they unknowingly run into someone.
"Hey! Wait, what the heck?" A voice says.
Sucy and Diana looked at the person suprised, it was Such! Another Sucy in this universe.
"Crap," Both Sucys say together.
