Matt stared into his glass as if the wine it contained held the answers to everything. He sighed heavily, hating the thought that Angie was upset. He had no idea why but he knew both Danica and Kate were worried too. That was enough to make him think he wasn't being paranoid when he thought something was wrong. He knew Angie would smile, tell him he was being overprotective and she was fine but he knew this time she wasn't. Deciding that he had to see if he could help her in any way he got to his feet not noticing Danica watch him as he left.

Angie felt sick. She was not a fan of weddings, never had been. The romance of it all was lovely and she was really happy for her friends but there was no way she could see herself ever walking down the aisle. The 'till death do us part' thing that bothered her, it seemed so final. She closed her eyes, letting herself fall back on the bed.
"I am an idiot." She rested her hand over her eyes. "I am such an idiot."
"You are not."
Her eyes snapped open as she heard the familiar voice. "Matt!"
"Kate said you were upset."
"I'm fine."
He stepped into the room, sat on the edge of the bed. He watched her for a moment as she regained her composure.
"Sure." He nodded. "If you think hiding up here and telling yourself that you are an idiot means you are fine then I am not worried about you."
"You shouldn't worry about me."
"Angie Everett." He watched as she sat up. "I am always gonna be worried about you."
She smiled slightly. "Matt, I am ok. Honestly. I just. I've done something stupid."
"Work related."
"No." She paused. "No, not work related. I'll work it out, don't worry. It won't affect the business. I'll make sure of it." She sighed. He wrapped his arm around her as she sighed heavily. He kissed her forehead as she closed her eyes.
"You're not on your own." He paused. "You know that Angie, you are never on your own."
She raised her head to look at him as she fought the urge to cry.
"Talk to me."
"I." She paused. "I will. Not here, not in the middle of the wedding. We should go downstairs, re-join the party." She smiled slightly as he nodded. Matt knew her well enough to know he wasn't going to get her to open up that night. Angie got to her feet waiting for him to stand. He smiled, got up and stepped away from her. In that moment he had a feeling they were going to be ok, at least until they got home. He followed her out into the corridor, glad to be getting back to the party when he heard a thud behind him.
"ANGIE!" He was at her side as she hit the floor unconscious. She lay as still as a corpse as he yelled for help.
