"I want to say I'm sorry, but I'm not." Santana said softly, running her thumb over Brittany's bottom lip. "But, I've wanted to kiss you since the moment I met you."

Brittany ran her hands up and down Santana's back before pulling her closer and kissing her again softly. "Those lips...whew...don't apologize for those lips." She mumbled while kissing Santana, moaning lowly. "I would love to kiss you all night, but I don't want your dinner to get cold, and I can hear your stomach growling. She teased.

Santana blushed slightly while laughing, "I am starving." She nodded, grabbing Brittany's hand and leading her to the kitchen. "Are you eating with me?"

"Yes." Brittany nodded.

"Sweet, let me get us set up in the living room." Santana stated, moving quickly through the kitchen, grabbing dinner bowls, utensils, napkins, and bottles of water.

"Wine?" Brittany asked, holding up the bottle she brought with her.

"Sure, there's an electric wine opener next to the blender." Santana pointed with her elbow, "wine glasses are right above in the cabinets." She added before going to the living room and turning on the fireplace, before spreading a blanket on the floor, and tossing some pillows down, so it looked comfortable. She opened the large container of food and poured some into each of their bowls, she was turning on some music when Brittany walked in with two glasses. "Do you mind sitting on the floor?"

"Not at all." Brittany smiled, setting down the wine glasses and jogging over to kick off her shoes. She sat down across from Santana, and picked up her fork right away, since Santana already had a mouthful of food.

"Okay, this is amazing." Santana smiled happily, bouncing slightly as she ate another forkful.

"Thanks, glad you like it." Brittany replied, relaxing at how much Santana was eating. While Brittany knew she was good cook she was admittedly nervous about cooking for Santana. After meeting for lunch Brittany thought about Santana the remainder of the day, she couldn't focus on even the simplest task with her mind always wandering back to her. Cooking was a hobby of Brittany's, she loved trying new dishes and recipes, and would spend her evening with a glass of wine scrolling through Pinterest for hours saving recipes. Luckily Cayden was a good eater and was willing to at least try new foods at least once.

"The pasta taste homemade, what brand do you buy?" Santana asked, taking a long sip of her wine.

"It is homemade." Brittany smirked.

"Shit...are you serious?!" Santana shrieked.

"Yeah, I love making pasta and bread, it's relaxing to me." Brittany shrugged.

"Whoa..." Santana smiled. "Brittany, you have totally messed up...I can never eat store bought pasta again."

"I wouldn't mind cooking for you again." Brittany replied, winking at her, smiling when Santana began to blush.

After they finished eating Santana quickly cleaned up the living room while Brittany took a call from the hospital that she often worked at, she came back in and laid on the pallet that she created, thumbing through a magazine while she waited for Brittany to finish up her call.

Brittany quickly ran to the bathroom before coming back and noticing that Santana had dimmed the lights and lit some candles. "Mind if I join you?" She asked teasingly.

"Of course, baby." Santana nodded, patting the space in front of her.

Once Brittany laid down they stared into each other's eyes for what felt like hours to them. Santana moved her hand to the middle of them, and smiled when she felt Brittany's hand on top of hers just as a new song came on the speaker.

When I wake up in the morning

You put a smile on my face
And if the day's a disappointment
I think of you and I'm ok
See what I'm trying to tell ya
I want all those to see
That you're my world a precious treasure
That's what you are to me
Oh yeah, ooh...

"I love this song." Santana smiled, singing along with the chorus.

I neva, I neva felt this way before

I neva, I neva felt this way before
Since I've, since I've found you
Neva felt this way before
I neva, I neva felt this way
Neva felt this way before

"Whoa, you have a beautiful singing voice." Brittany smiled.

Santana shrugged. "It's okay...I just love singing." She laughed.

"You sound amazing to me." Brittany replied.

Santana blushed and sang the next verse

You're my now and forеver (Ever)
You get mе weak in the knees (Weak in the knees)
And it's never ending pleasure
All the man I need
Da-da-da-da-da-da, all the man I need, oh
Did I forget to mention (Mention, mention)
That you're a love symphony? (Love symphony)
Everyday I get to listen, you make life complete
Oh yeah, and I

"Your eyes are so mesmerizing, I can literally stare into them for hours."

Brittany leaned forward and kissed her softly on the forehead.

"You kind of ruined my first date." Santana teased.

"I'm sorry." Brittany replied, sticking out her bottom lip playfully. "I just...I needed to see you, I'm drawn to you...I've never felt this way about someone before...it's kind of scary."

Santana stared at her, nodding in agreement. "Yeah...I feel the same way. I mean, I don't even know your last name." She smiled.

Brittany laughed, "Pierce, my favorite color is purple, favorite number is 4, my birthday is November 12, I'll be 33 years old, I had a dog named Dorito growing up, and I'm addicted to snickerdoodle cookies."

Santana smiled. "Well, my last name is Lopez, which I think I mentioned last time. My favorite color is yellow, my favorite number is 3, my birthday is March 12th, I'll be 33 as well. We had fish growing up, each kid got to name their own fish, I had Bubbles, and I'm addicted to Oatmeal Creme Pies."

Brittany raised an eyebrow as she propped herself up on her elbow, Santana following suit. "Cayden is named after my first wife, her name was Kaden, with a K, and I promised to name my first kid after her, she was thrilled and didn't believe me." She laughed. "My favorite movie is Steel Magnolias, my favorite tv show is Friends."

Santana took a sip of her wine, "I would love to hear more about Kaden, when you're ready to talk about her." She stated softly.

"Sure, but not tonight." Brittany assured her. "Tonight is about us."

"Tyson is named after Mike Tyson, because his kicks felt like little punches." Santana laughed. "Gia gave me the idea. My favorite movie is The Notebook, my favorite tv show is Living Single."

Midnight

They continued spitting out random facts about each other for another couple of hours, when they both fell asleep. Santana was now cuddled into Brittany's chest, Brittany holding her tightly as Santana's phone rang, waking up Brittany. She stirred and pulled Santana closer before forcing her eyes open and looking at the clock on the wall.

"Fuck." She groaned, while stretching. "Santana, I gotta get home, and your cell phone is ringing."

Santana coughed in her sleep and woke up. "What time is it." She mumbled, blindly grabbing her phone and looking at the time. "I wish you could stay the night, but I know you need to get going." She added, sitting up and running her fingers through her hair.

Brittany stared at how cute Santana looked and smiled right as thunder cracked through the air and the sky opened up. She pulled out her phone and called her grandmother.

Hey Nana, the rain is really coming down, I'm going to stay at a friend's house tonight, I'll be home before Cayden wakes up for school.

Santana raised an eyebrow as she stood up and set the wine glasses on the cocktail table. "It was a figure of speech, you didn't have to do that." She smiled.

Brittany laughed. "Hey, if you want me to drive home in the storm, then I can."

Santana laughed, "nope too late." She beamed, leaning up and kissing Brittany on the cheek, a silent thank you for helping her put the pillows and blanket back in their rightful place. "I don't want to be too forward or out of place, I can make up the guest room for you, or you can crash with me, no funny business expected."

"I don't mind crashing with you." Brittany told her as they made their way upstairs.

Santana gave a quick tour of the second floor of the house, before finally leading Brittany to her bedroom, which was decorated in white, pink, yellow, and touches of black, which took Brittany off guard.

"This isn't how I pictured your bedroom at all." Brittany smiled, looking around at the white distressed wood furniture on her king sized bed, she had a white comfortable on top with faded pink and yellow flowers, outlined loosely in black. She had a matching chest to the side with a picture of her and Tyson next to silhouette black vase with silk yellow roses on top. Her dresser was the same white wood, and full of different perfumes, with a big screen tv on the wall. In the corner sat a soft pink recliner with a gold side table with a small Keurig. there was a walkin closet to the side, and an ensuite that was decorated in soft mint green and grey.

"What did you expect?" Santana asked, opening her dresser drawer and handing Brittany a tshirt and a pair of pajama shorts. "Short sleeve okay?"

Brittany nodded. "Perfect." She grabbed the clothes and smiled. "The rest of the house is so muted and modern, I would have never expected white bedroom furniture."

Santana smiled. "This is my little sanctuary." She shrugged. "Umm, you can shower in the guest bathroom down the hall for some privacy. I'm going to hop in here. There are fresh towels and new bars of soap in the closet in there."

"Thanks." Brittany yawned.

20 minutes later the pair was in bed, facing each other, once again lost in each other's eyes. Santana leaned forward and pressed her lips softly against Brittany's before hugging her tightly. "Good night."

"Good night." Brittany whispered.

Friday 3pm

"How was school?" Brittany asked Cayden, buckling him up in the back seat and kissing him on the cheek.

"We played outside." Cayden beamed excitedly.

"Whoa." Brittany smiled before closing the door of her Jeep, and quickly hopping in the front seat. "What did you play?"

"Kickball, and Tyson was on my team, we won." Cayden stated proudly.

"You two are so awesome, it was pretty cool out today, did you wear your jacket and hat?" Brittany asked, glancing at him in the rearview mirror.

"Yeah, Miss Percy made us zip up." Cayden nodded.

Brittany nodded as she turned on the radio and headed home. Since Brittany normally worked until 5 her grandmother would pick up Cayden after school, since he was still in kindergarten she felt he was too young to be in an after school program just yet, so she was more than thankful her grandmother was still able to drive and loved helping her out with Cayden.

"So what are we doing today, buddy?" Brittany asked. "Pizza and a movie?"

Cayden perked up immediately. "Whoa."

"Whoa." Brittany nodded, matching his enthusiasm. "First we need to hit the mall, okay?"

Cayden nodded. "To get a new ninja turtle?"

Brittany smiled, "hmmmmmm, maybe depends on how good of a boy you were this week."

Cayden stared at his green and white Nikes on his feet before glancing up and catching Brittany's eyes in the rearview mirror. "I was good all week, and so was Tyson."

"Oh, both of you, well maybe we'll get two Ninja Turtles and you can give him one. as a thank you for letting you come over and play this week." Brittany told him.

"Cool."

11pm

Santana yawned as Tyson snuggled closer to her and exhaled softly in his sleep. The two spent the evening together after school, first Santana took him to a football game at one of the local high schools, which he was super excited about. After the game they went to a hibachi grill and had dinner, with it being Tyson's first time he sat with wide eyes at the show the chef put on, glancing up at Santana with a big smile every couple of moments. They finally capped the night off by cuddling on the couch with a big bowl of popcorn and watching a movie.

Tyson fell asleep fifteen minutes into the movie, which Santana expected given the full evening they had. She continued to watch the movie Sing herself, since she enjoyed the movie. She moved Tyson to rest on her chest, hugging him tightly while peppering kisses to the top of his head. She started to think back to when he was a baby, and how he was scream until he was blue in the face until Santana was lay him on her chest, using her heartbeat to relax him.

"Mami?" Tyson whispered.

"Yes, baby?" She hummed in reply, rubbing his back. "Let's get you in bed, baby boy." She replied softly, not wanting to wake him up completely. Standing up slowly, she kissed the top of his head while carrying him upstairs, and laying him in his bed, since he was already in pajamas, After tucking him in, she kissed him softly on the forehead and left the room, heading downstairs to clean up the living room. She picked up her phone and debated calling Brittany, but didn't know if it were too late, and she didn't want to overstep at all. She stared at the phone and instead sent a text.

Hey Brittany, counting sheep yet?

Lol, not yet, just doing some paperwork.

Super dedicated, I don't want to interrupt, so I'll let you go

You are a very welcome interruption ;) How was your evening?

Really good, spend some much needed time with my baby boy, we had a total Mommy/Son date tonight

Great minds think alike, I did the same with Cayden

Fun, I try to do as much stuff as I can with T now, since I know the next time I blink he'll be 16 and embarrassed to be seen with me. LMAO

Touche

I'm excited for our date tomorrow.

I am too, any hints?

Dress casual

You said that already

No heels, super comfortable shoes

Hmmmmm, okay, got it

I'll let you get back to work, even though it's Friday night. Lol

Work is now on the floor next to by bed, feel like watching a movie together?

Santana raised an eyebrow, since she she wouldn't be able to leave the house with Tyson fast asleep, and she didn't want Brittany to make a habit of leaving Cayden at night to come see her. How?

You have Netflix, right? We can do a viewing party and watch a movie.

Of course, and that sounds super fun. We can Facetime while doing it, so it's like we are really together.

I love that idea

Just so you know this is the second date you've highjacked from me. I'm keeping score.Santana teased as Brittany called her on FaceTime, she tossed her phone down and ran her fingers through her hair before picking up her laptop and answering, a dopy smile on her face.
