And the third instalment in my little imagined up tale, who would have thought it could go this quickly?
In any case, I hope you are all enjoying so far, I know I am.
We now enter this newest chapter with our questions.
Who is this new group of villains making deals with Shigaraki?
What exactly is going on with Malek?
Why is it that Mineta is such a little perv?
Some questions will be answered, others will not, so keep reading and getting those answers.
What would make a vineyard collapse overnight? NO GRAPES!
On with the story...
(PS: I'll be introing the OC of someone else I know cause they want in, so I'll say their writing style and mine may differ)
Chapter 3: The Creatures Den
Yet another day befell the students of 1A, and another day of school it was. The first lesson was a lecture from Present Mic, which felt like it dragged on for hours upon hours.
People like Deku and Momo were jotting down notes so fast it seemed ridiculous, whilst others like Todoroki and Kirishima were attentively watching and asking questions, making more notes. However, unlike most of the other students, Malek was sat, with his headphones in, seemingly ignoring the whole thing.
"Mister Pyro! Raise Your Head!" Mic melodically shouted out to the group.
Malek looked up the moment he called out, gazing down "Yes, Mr Present Mic?" he enquired.
"You think you don't need to pay attention? Then you can answer the question I stopped on"
Malek looked over at the board and sighed "1934" he groaned.
"Please repeat that" Mic returned.
"The first villain syndicate was formed in 1934, under Crackdown" he said, louder.
"Oh really? Well what was the name of that group, who put an end to that group, and when exactly?" Mic added, testing his knowledge.
Malek groaned again, cracking his neck "The name of the group was the Red Right Hand, named after Crackdowns scar on his arm, and was stopped in 1936 by the Agency of the Just Hero, Dreddnaught" he sighed "Satisfied?"
Mic was clearly surprised, as were several others around the room, Midoriya included "Uhhh...yeah...go ahead and sit down" he stated, Malek doing so and putting his headphones back in.
The class eventually ended, and so did the rest of the day, so the group yet again met up in their dorm.
(Heights Alliance: 1A Lounge)
The girls seemed to have plans, and were giggling excitedly.
"What's going on with you guys? Kirishima asked, the group turning to face him.
Momo raised her hand, revealing a shiny credit card "My father just permitted me an increase in my monthly funding" she stated "And we're gonna use it on shopping!" Mina added, buzzing with excitement, along with Hagakure.
"It can't be that much. Like 50 dollars?" Todoroki asked, walking into the conversation.
"More like 5 Thousand!" Uraraka countered, joining in with the excitable ones.
"Can I come with, I need some new gear" Kirishima asked. "Me too" added Kaminari. "And me" Todoroki finished.
"Fine, but your paying for your own stuff" Momo stated, the others giggling.
Malek walked down the stairs, wearing his wear and tear clothes, the girls staring over and coming up with ideas.
"You thinking what I'm thinking?" Mina asked, getting nods from the others.
As he sat down, Momo and Mina went around the front, while Uraraka and Tsuyu went around the back.
He sighed "What exactly do you want?" he looked up at them, glaring.
"Would you be interested in coming with us and by some new clothes?" Momo asked, flicking up the card.
"What are my benefits?" he enquired, surprisingly, not moving in any aggressive manner.
"You get to buy some clothes for yourself" Mina added, stroking her chin "well?"
He groaned "Fine, but only cause I need a change of clothes" he submitted, the girls celebrating.
And the time came for the group to leave, and eventually reached the mall.
(Shopping Mall)
The girls were abuzz with excitement, the boys were looking into the windows of menswear and exercise gear shops.
Malek on the other hand, seemed to be a whole other person. He was nervous, pulling his hood down and staying close to the others.
"What's up with you?" Todoroki questioned "You seem off."
"I don't like crowds" Malek returned, near whispering.
"Seriously? Wow" Mina looked over, definitely surprised, along with the others, seeing the scary, battle-scarred guy, suddenly timid.
"Y-yeah, can we just go into a shop, please?"
"Ok...ooh, lets try that one!" Toru shouted tugging on Tsuyu's arm, moving to a menswear shop that the boys were heading into. "Hey, guys, wait up!" Uraraka called over.
"Good timing, we just found the cool stuff. Hey, Malek, wanna join us?" Kirishima queried while the other two browsed around. "Yeah, I think I will" he replied, seeming more calm.
The boys took a moment to pick out some clothes, while the girls sat in front of the changing area, acting as judges, while Hagakure announced, like they were on a catwalk.
"First up, we have Ejiro Kirishima, rocking the sportswear!" she called as he walked out in a vest and headband, activating his quirk and flexing. The girls whispered and turned "Thats a yes!"
"And next we have Denki Kaminari! Careful, ladies, this boys riding lightning!" was shouted as the electric boy walked out, everything from the jacket to the shoes having a blue or yellow bolt. Yet another discussion, followed by a thumbs down "It's too last year, Kaminari" Tsuyu added, earning a disappointed face. "I'm buying it anyway!" he huffed. "Next!" they said in unison.
"Up next, we have Shoto Todoroki! Avert your eyes, this ice cold getup has left him smoking!" Todoroki walked out, wearing a formal suit in a casual style, top button undone and jacket off. The girls blushed a little and turned around for about a second. "Definite yes" Momo stated as Todoroki walked away, eyes following. "O-ok, onto the last one" she managed to get out.
"Ok, last exhibit for the night. He's new on stage, so be kind, It's Malek Pyro!" The new boy stepped out, clothes completely changed, seeming not only new, but also improved. He was wearing a new set of jeans, with an AC/DC shirt on, almost fully covered by a leather jacket, his left hand tucked into his pocket and his right holding his other clothes "Well?" he asked.
The girls were quite surprised "That actually looks pretty good" Uraraka stated "Love the shirt" Jirou added.
"Good" he replied, walking to the other guys. They, too, seemed impressed. "Nice jacket, dude!" Kirishima complimented. "It suits you well" Todoroki added. "Oh, c'mon! He's taking my style!" Kaminari countered, the other two looking at both of them. "Nah"
After destroying Kaminari's self esteem, the group went to pay for their clothes, Malek first.
"Will that be all, sir?" The cashier asked. "Yes, thank you" he nodded, seeming happy again.
"Ok, that'll come to..." they started, but were stopped when Malek raised a hand.
"No, no, no, she's paying" he pointed at Momo, who pulled a shocked face. "But we didn't agree to this!"
"You told them they had to pay for there stuff. You never told me that" he smirked. "OOOOOOOOOOOHHHH!" Kaminari and Kirishima called out, while Todoroki nodded his head, smirking.
"GRRRRR, Fine!" she put her card in the reader and entered her pin, scowling.
"Thank you, now I'll be off" he began walking away, seeming like a new, confident man...until he saw the crowds.
The group chuckled again and moved around him, waiting for the boys to finish buying their stuff.
"Why don't you like crowds?" Toru queried. "I'm not answering that" Malek returned.
The boys came back and the group began to move to another shop, until Malek stopped in his tracks, gazing up. "Who is she?" he asked, looking up at a higher level.
"Who?" Kaminari asked. "Her" he pointed up to a darker skinned girl who was chatting with Kendo of class 1B.
"I actually don't know" Momo added "Maybe another new student."
(Malek's POV)
Before the group could even react, I was half way up the escalator, eyes fixed on her "What am I doing?" till she glanced over, leading me to turn my head "Stay calm, you'll be fine."
I was gonna do it, walking in her direction, about to move in, chest full of nerves.
(Christina's POV)
Present Mic's voice: "Christina Adams. Quirk: Dissaparate. She can turn anything she touches invisible if she wants it to, but has trouble with multiple or large objects."
The view showed her stats: Age: 16, Quirk type: Emitter, Birthplace: Caribbean. Exchange for: Manga
Kendo, one of the first people I've met here, was deep in thought of the tournament, which I had spaced out from a bit as I felt eyes staring at me, weird, since we were in the mall.
But it wasn't the average glance, something about it was off. I looked around to find him staring at me from the escalator. He was big, looked bad, and seemed around my age.
His gaze dropped as my eyes met his, but he got off, moving in my direction. "Was he heading straight towards me?" I thought to myself, looking over to my companion. "Who is he?" I asked her.
She turned around, looking for a minute "I'm not sure, but I think he's the new student in class 1A" she replied. He was new as well? Maybe he wanted to talk to me since we were both new.
(Normal Dialogue)
Malek stopped at the two "Uhh...hi" he scratched his neck nervously.
She looked over the visible scars on his lower arms, her impression of him changed "Hi there, nice to meet you."
He was taken by surprise at her sudden reaction, cautiously raising his arm "I-I'm Malek."
"I'm Christina" her lips raised in a gentle smile. And now he could actually feel a flush of heat.
He was actually very calm, calm enough to lower his guard "Are you in UA as well?"
"Of recent, I'm new to the school, still learning how stuff works" she replied, voice positively kind.
He actually liked her, this was weird "Me too, are you an exchange?" he enquired.
She nodded "mhm, I'm from the Caribbean" she replied. Wow...just wow. Kendo walked off to leave them.
"That's really cool. You must have an impressive quirk to get in from that far" he complimented.
She blushed a bit "I dunno about impressive but it sure is something" she replied.
"Well what is it?" he implored her "Its not like I'll use it against you" he chuckled.
"My power is Dissaparate. I can turn myself invisible and/or anything I touch" she answered.
"That is actually a really useful quirk for stealth heroes" he complimented "so yours is great."
Her smile widened as she blushed "What's your quirk?" Oh, no, this was tough.
He seemed conflicted "Well, that's hard to say, exactly" he stated, quite odd.
"Hm? The school is very hard to get into, especially for us, cause their are more options to choose from, which could only mean your quirk is unique or somewhat special" her eyes widen as she ran back over his body and thought "or something strange" he seemed nervous now, apprehensive.
"Well, I can tell you some things" he sighed, thinking.
She hesitantly reached out and touched his arm "It's ok you don't have to." To this, he seemed even more nervous.
"Y-you see, I can't tell you because..." he was cut off as a large blast came from below, knocking smoke and debris into the area "Everyone Get Down!" he shouted.
Christina was stunned by the burst and didn't move. However, Malek had already grabbed her and pulled her behind, his back taking any impacts "Are you ok, Christina?"
She looked at him shock overwhelming her "I'm-I'm fine."
He nodded and turned around, looking for the source of the blast, and a loud metal crunch rung out as he crushed the bar in his hand.
She whimpered as she heard the sound "M-Malek?"
His face was out of view, but he was shaking and muttering something.
She tried again to reach him, but had no clue what was happening "Malek?"
His muttering got a little louder, making his ominous words clear "They found me" his eyes were fixed on the bottom level.
She was confused as to what he meant "W-Who found you?"
His body continued to shake as he repeated, over and over, his tone a mix of anger and fear.
She held his arm, squeezing a bit in an attempt to pull him out the trance "Malek, you're scaring me"
He pulled his arm out of her grasp with surprising force "I need to go" he muttered.
She whimpered softly as he did, whatever the commotion was about had to do with him "Oh, o-ok"
With that, the floor cracked a little at his feet, as he jumped over the pole and descended, opening his viewpoint.
She was surprised to say the least as she walked forward, peering into the hole.
What she, and the rest of the crowd would see, was a large symbol, marking the ground, made of ice, stone, vines, water and solid darkness, just like the symbols in the news reports.
Her eyes widen as she leaned, seeing the symbols and realizing that she saw them all over the news before "what in the world...?"
(Heights Alliance: 1A Lounge)
Deku and the others who had stayed in were oblivious as to what had just happened. That is, until Malek stormed in, heading straight to his room, getting the others attention.
"Hey, Malek, nice new gettup" Sato complimented, which was ignored.
As he went up the stairs, the others shot puzzled looks at one another "What got him so annoyed?" Shoji openly asked.
He came back down shortly after, one of his backpacks lugged on his shoulder "Anyone asks, I'm visiting a relative, ok?" he told the others as he moved over to the door, then stopped. He slowly turned, looking at them with a threatening glare "If any of you follow me, I swear, you wont see tomorrow!" that threat was genuine and they could tell, frozen in place.
He turned back and walked out, Deku rushing to the door the moment he left, only to reveal he had completely vanished without a trace "Wha...where did he go?" he questioned.
Shortly after, Kirishima and the others rushed in, looking around "Where's Malek? We can't find him anywhere!" the redhead stressed as the others looked around.
"He just left, saying he's going to see a relative" Bakugou answered, seeming uninterested.
"What's going on?" Deku queried, the group looking at him like he was some alien species.
"There was an attack at the mall by those radicals from the news!" Uraraka shouted, getting the attention of the others.
"Did you see any of them?" Sero asked, Kaminari shaking his head.
"Got something" Tsuyu said as she lifted her tongue, which stuck to a key.
"That must be the key to his room" Todoroki stated, grabbing it and heading up the stairs. The others followed after.
(Malek's room)
They reached the door and Todoroki unlocked it, revealing a surprisingly normal room. The only changes were a laptop that was on the table, charging, and a set of candles on the windowsill.
Some of them apprehensively walked in and looked around, analysing.
"The candles look very much like a shrine, so I'd guess he took the picture that was there" Momo stated.
Jirou lifted the laptop screen and plugged her earphone jack into it "His security is nearly none existent, so I can get in, no problem" she said while typing away at the keyboard.
After a good ten seconds of typing, the screen brought a file up. "What's that?" Deku asked.
"Seems to be a memoire of sorts, like a story, but its about him" she replied, opening it.
"If you're reading this, you just broke into my laptop. Well done, and I'll try to make your demise quick" It said, the others looking at each other with concerned glances.
"Keep going" Todoroki implored as they turned back to it.
"You probably ask "Why am I so unfriendly?" Well, there's an easy answer for that. Because it's safer that way. I have been unfriendly because ever since I was twelve, I was afraid. Why? Because on the day I turned twelve, I lost what was most dear to me. The one thing that kept me assured. On my twelfth birthday my parents were murdered, because of me. I remember it so well, so well that my dreams are plagued by it. And I never want anyone to die for me again. The ones who broke into the house wanted me, but my parents wouldn't say. So I stood and watched from outside, as their leader drove their sword through my mom and decapitated my dad. I hate myself for sitting there, and I refuse to let people die for me again. So now that they have been following me, I intend to put an end to this. If they find me, and they will, I will kill..."
The writing stopped, and there was no sign that he continued somewhere else.
Many students were shocked, Momo was holding her mouth, Todoroki was stunned, and Deku looked horrified.
"I...I can't believe it" was all the green haired boy could say as they closed the computer, looking at each other. Even Bakugou was shocked at this new development.
Suddenly, the room turned dark as a figure appeared at the door, wearing a dark, long jacket with the buckles on the front undone, razor sharp metal claws protruding on their fingers. A hood covered their face, with two, burning red eyes piercing the shadow "You shouldn't have come here" they hissed.
(Location, Unknown)
Once again a dark room, with a large, round table, illuminated by an overhead lamp, and a large screen, displaying the carnage at the mall. Five silhouettes lined the table.
"Very good work, sister. Your training paid off" spoke the Russian voice, a pair of arms with long, white gloves going over to the table.
A pair of black shoes raised and rested on the table "What can I say, I've got good teachers" the British voice complimented.
"I still would have liked to cause some death" the Portuguese voice added, the sound of fingers tapping.
"And I could have caused much more damage" a deep, African voice stated, a ridiculously wide, dark skinned hand resting on the table.
One of the gloved hands raised, silencing them "You can be restless for a little longer, you will have your missions soon enough" the Russian stated "Brother, any sign?"
A pair of pale, quite thin hands came forward, pressing a remote's button "Quite so, my lady" the Spanish voice stated, bringing them to video of Malek chatting with Christina.
One of the gloves gripped the table as iced started to spike out "Who is she, brother?"
"Some random student, my lady" the screen showed him protecting her.
Now the black shoes came down as a fingerless glove appeared, seeming to pull the shadow around it agressively. "Shall I remove her, my lady?" the British voice asked, but the Russian chuckled as she saw Malek leave Christina.
"No, sister, but make sure she's watched...carefully" the Russian decreed.
"My family, I can feel that our goal is within reach, so we do not need to hide for much longer. Soon, our victory will be at hand" she cackled, slowly joined by the others as the light shut off.
