Both Ben and Vent enter the ship, accompanied by Commander Prairie and Scientist Fleuve. Fleuve presses a button on a machine and presents a display on it. "It appears that the big ball of energy was trans-dimensional vortex."

"A trans-ma what?" Vent said.

"A portal that leads to other worlds." Prairie said, simplifying the explanation.

"O-Other worlds? Wait so does that mean Ben really is...?"

"Heh, science class much?" The green jacketed boy said smirking. Vent returned that with a scowl.

"It seems that Serpent is the one responsible for making it appear." Fleuve explained. Vent scoffed.

"Hmph, should've guessed..." Vent muttered. "But why did he-"

"Pardon me, but anyone wanna fill me in on who this Serpent guy is?" Ben interjected.

"Ah yes, you don't know about him." Prairie said. "To simply put it, he is the owner of a company known as Slither Inc. However, he has become madly obsessed with power and is now aiming to take over the world using the power of the Biometal."

"Corrupt politician. Got it. I've dealt with one of those before."

"So why would he open that crazy thing in the first place?" Vent asked wanting to return to his previous question.

"I can only assume that he wanted to drag something powerful in order to assist him in his plan." Fleuve explained. "However, the machine he used to open it must've picked up the wrong target, and picked up our green young friend here."

"Perhaps it was attracted to that device on your wrist?" Prairie said pointing to the green armband on Ben's wrist. He unrolls his sleeve and shows it to them.

"This? It's called the Ultimatrix. It contains the DNA of over a million aliens. And accessing this DNA allows me to use their various powers."

"W-Whoa. Aliens?" Vent said slightly surprised. "That's... kinda cool." Vent felt kind of jealous. Why couldn't the Biometal allow him to do something like that?

"Not kind of cool. Dead cool." Ben said with a smug smile.

"Yes. Anyway..." Fleuve continued. "We may be able to re-open the portal and send you back home." Vent looked disappointed.

"That's a shame. I was really looking forward to working with you.

"Well? Come Mr. Ben, we can take you home now." Prairie said kindly. Ben looked at the floor before saying.

"What about you? Isn't there some kind of madman out there or something?" Ben asked in concern. Prairie just smiled and said.

"You don't need to worry about us. I'm sure there are people who are missing you right now. Come."

"But-"

"It's fine." Vent interrupted. "This our problem anyway, not yours." Ben looked at Vent with a guilty face. He stood there, thinking for a moment. Could he just leave them like this? No. He couldn't.

"...No. Forget the machine. I'm not going anywhere." He said firmly. The three Guardians looked surprised.

"W-What? Are you sure?" Vent asked. "Don't you have people to protect back where you're from?" Ben just shook his head.

"My world lives in peace. Our world doesn't get attacked anymore. So it's actually the first time in a while I ever had to actually fight before today. Besides, even if something were to happen, there's good people there that can stop it from happening. They're powerful, I trust them."

"Oh no, we couldn't... We couldn't take you away from the-"

"You can't change my mind. I'm staying. A true hero wouldn't leave this world the way it is right now."

"Ben..." Vent said in awe. He had a bad impression of the boy initially, but that quickly changed to admiration. He was inspired by how caring and kind he was, despite his somewhat dimwitted attitude. Vent holds out his hand. "Welcome to the team pal." Ben smiled and shook the hand.

"Glad to be here buddy." Prairie watched the two boys smiling.

"Well then, you're now an official member of guardians. We're happy to have you." Prairie said joyfully.

"Tha-" Before Ben could finish his sentence, a crash was heard from above. The roof was then ripped open to reveal Serpent, and some mechaniloids.

"Why hello there Commander! Fancy meeting with you here." The man said smugly.

"S-Serpent!"

"What the hell do you want?!" Vent spat at the man who killed his Boss.

"Oh, please MegaMan Model X. That anger just won't do in defeating me. Or are you just too much of a coward to face me like a man?"

"Why you...!" Vent seethed with anger.

"What do you want?!" Prairie demanded.

"Why, that's simple my sweet commander. All I need is the relic, and I shall take my leave."

"Relic? I have no idea what that is!" Prairie shouted. Serpent gained an annoyed look.

"Nonsense. I know you have it." Serpent then turned to see Ben. "Ah, that monster boy I dragged here. I've been monitoring you ever since you arrived. Perhaps you know where the Relic is?"

"There is no Relic here, jerk." The boy rebutted. "Unless you're referring to the Ultimatrix, in which case, you can't have it." Serpent let out a cackle.

"Oh my boy, how you amuse me so! I have no interest in that puny toy watch. It doesn't even come close to the power of what I'm looking for."

"We don't have it!" Vent spat.

"Hm..." Serpent looked at them, with his mechaniloids ready to attack. "You really don't, do you?" Serpent shook his head and laughed. "Well, that just simply won't serve my purposes then. And neither will you..." Serpent rips apart both mechaniloids and takes two parts from them and smashes them together. He then slams it onto the ship. "This self-destruct mechanism shall ensure that you stay silent while I carry out my goals... Mwahahahaha!" Serpent cackled. Before they could grab him, he jumped off into the blue sky, disappearing.

"A-AAAAAH! S-Self destruct?! There's no way we're gonna make it!" Fleuve screamed whilst panicking. Prairie patted him and said...

"Calm down Fleuve. Thinking that way won't help anyone." Prarire then opened an escape pod in the ship. "We should be able to escape with this..." Prairie turned back, looking back at Ben and Vent worriedly. "But it's only got enough for two... What about you guys?"

"Well-" Vent tried to say but Ben interrupted.

"Just go. We'll be fine."

"What?!" Vent said in shock.

"A-Are you sure?" Prairie asked again.

"Go. We'll be fine." Prairie looked at both of them again, but then eventually got in the pod with Fleuve. "Come back safe... Okay?" Ben simply smiled and flashed her a thumbs up, before the escape pod dislodged from the ship.

"Please tell me you have a plan." Vent asked, hoping they weren't entering a death trap.

"Something like that." Ben responded.

"Okay wha-" Vent was interrupted by Ben grabbing him and jumping out the ship. "AAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!" Vent screamed as they plummeted through the sky. Suddenly, a flash of green light sprung out and before Vent knew it, he was covered up inside something white, and something with an awful stench. He could feel himself plummeting still until finally crashing onto the ground. When Vent realized they were on ground. He then noticed the odious smell filling his nostrils. "Ewwww!" He said in disgust, freeing himself from Ben, who was now a panda-like creature, with broadened shoulders and covered in yellow armor plating his back. "Dude, do you know what it SMELLS like in there?!" Ben slapped the symbol on the center of his chest and reverted back to his conventional human form.

"I'm sure you can handle a little Arburian musk in order to save your hide, 'Dude'." Ben responded. Vent rubbed his head.

"Sorry. It's just well... This day just keeps getting so weird."

"I feel ya buddy."

"In any case, we should get back to the guardian base."

"Alright. Let's go." Ben and Vent began walking through the forest. Vent felt the silence was slightly awkward, so he asked Ben...

"So, I wanna ask. What happened to you?" Ben looked down at Vent and said...

"I was gonna ask you the same thing. Do you wanna go first should I?" Vent pointed his finger at Ben. "Me? Okay. Well, it started six years ago..."

Heyo people. Hope you enjoyed this Chapter. For clarification, the Ben Tennyson in this story is one from an alternate timeline. So a lot of things may be different. Such as, in his timeline, there are no more attacks and the world is in peace. Azmuth never bothered to create the new Omnitrix. Some of the episodes of Ultimate Alien haven't happened yet may be used for future chapters. It's all still to come so stay updated.
