It was as Hinata suspected as she walked through the gates of Konoha, the village of Leaf. She met Shiranui, Genma and he was chewing on his favorite senbon.

"Hyuuga-san, you are late, we thought you would arrive ten hours ago," Genma said lazily as he made a confirmation that this indeed was Hyuuga, Hinata entering their gates.

"I am sorry Shiranui-san, I was delayed because of an odd event. But I think I need to speak with Hokage-sama about it," Hinata said softly and bowed to the gate-keeper. He nodded her off and she walked more quickly towards the Hokage-tower.

Hinata entered the tower and walked up to the Hokage's office. She waited for a sign that it was alright for her to come inside. And it came quickly. She entered the office and saw the Rokudaime, Hatake, Kakashi, sit behind a large desk with tons of papers on it. She bowed politely and walked up to the desk.

"Hyuuga-san, I am so happy to see that you are alright, you had us rather worried when you didn't arrive on schedule," the masked Hokage said happily.

"I am sorry, Hokage-sama, I was delayed because something very strange happened." Hinata answered truthfully and began to tell the story about the huge dog then turned human. Her leader listened and looked rather worried and yet curious.

'Really, could it be?' Kakashi thought as he got up from his desk and headed towards a smaller room which was filled with archives. He began to rummage around as Hinata watched him in amazement.

"AHA!" the shout made Hinata jump a bit as Kakashi came back into the office and held a folder in his hand. "I knew it… I knew I had read about it somewhere!"

Hinata looked a bit stupefied but she didn't say anything.

"From what you have told me, Hyuuga-san, the creature you encountered was actually a demon. A real demon, not like the Nine-tails that can be sealed into children. But a real demon."

Hinata just gaped at the answer. Sure she knew that there was strange being in existence, but real demons?

"You didn't happen to catch his name did you?" asked Kakashi as he rubbed his masked cheek. This was indeed interesting. A real shape-shifting demon that walked this earth. Sure he had met a lot of people that could pass as demons, like Zabuza of the Mist, but really a real demon? Nope, he had never met one of those before.

"U-uhm, I… I think it was Sesshomaru," said Hinata with her soft voice.

"Sesshomaru? Are you sure?" asked Kakashi as he flipped through the papers in the folder.

"Y-yes, I am pretty sure that was h-his name," Hinata answered.

A few minutes of silence and then Kakashi looked up and pinned his one eye on the nervous looking young woman.

"He didn't happen to say where he was going?" Kakashi asked and closed his eye as the Hyuuga shook her head in no. He sighed and then: "Well, let us hope he wanders off our lands, all of our ninja-nations lands. He is a very deadly demon, Hyuuga-san… and it was nothing less of a miracle that he let you heal him, to let you come so close to him."

Hinata blinked in confusion. She didn't understand what her leader was telling her.

Kakashi sighed and rubbed his forehead a bit.

"Just let me say this – be glad that you are still alive, Hyuuga-san!" and then made a notion with his hand and Hinata exited his office.

"Damn demons – they just couldn't keep to the northen Lands could they…" Kakashi mumbled to himself as he looked through the papers in his hands. If the Hyuuga-princess was right, there was a huge dog demon on the loose in the lands of the five nations. This was not good. Not good at all. He would not have time to read his precious orange book any time soon.

Kakashi called for Shizune who came into his office before he could finish his order for her to come inside, she was that good you know. She had served under Tsunade and now she helped Kakashi with running of the things.

"Shizune-san, please, I need your help. I need you to send out a message to all ninja-nations. Copy this and add to the message."

She nodded and just the copy-jutsu and headed towards the messenger-tower to send the message out to the villages that her leader wanted her to.

In the meantime not very far away from the Leaf Village a certain one-armed person was cursing both heaven and earth…. Why? Because he was lost, utterly and completely lost he was. He had fallen in that cursed well that that silly human girl had used as some sort of a portal, and he had ended up in another strange era. Just before he had fell in he had fought that half-breed – Naraku and now he, the great Sesshomaru was stranded in a strange land.

A girl-woman had helped him, he had been pretty beaten up and yet she had helped him. Somehow she had reminded him of Rin. A woman child free from sin and of completely innocence.

He refused to admit that he missed the woman-child, Hinata, yes that had been her name. The woman-child with those strange white eyes; so full of empathy and emotions, where was she now? He had been foolish, Sesshomaru realized as he sat down at a large tree. He should have kept that woman as a guide, to help him understand this new world that…. That retched well-portal had sent him too.

It was the Mizukage who sent back the first notification about the silverhaired dog-demon to Kakashi and it held no comfort what so ever. Several of her top elite ninjas had tried to capture this three-legged humungous dog and they had all ended up with severe wounds. Not dead, thank the gods, but very much wounded.

She told Kakashi in the encoded letter that the creature had moved back to the land of the Leaf and was probably residing somewhere in Leafs giant woods.

So the demon was back in Kakashi's back of the woods so to speak. He sighed and asked for team 8 to come to his office. It meant Kiba, Shino and Hinata. They were the best tracking team. But he also asked for Ino and Sasuke to come along.

Kiba's nose along with his dog Akamaru were almost better than Kakashi's summon ninja dog in tracking. And together with Shino's bugs and Hinata's 360 vision they were certainly the best in the village as it came down to tracking.

Uchiha, Sasuke, the loner, the unfortunate hero of the war that had been. He was going to be given a special order, if it was needed. If not – he was just the back up team.

Yamanako, Ino, she was going to be Kakashi's wild card. She was feisty, she could if need have a hold over Sasuke in case he went bananas, but also, she could get a hold of the demon-dog they were searching for. Plus, she really did pick up the rear end and held a group together with her feisty nature.

The five met just outside Konoha's gates. Shino had been given leader-ship of the five-man team. Nothing he really cared for to have but he nodded towards all of them in greetings.

"Kiba, you have the shirt from Hinata, the blood there will help us track whom ever that blood belongs to, he said to Kiba which in turn nodded and held up the shirt and then held it out to his large dog Akamaru. A large Voff came from Akamaru. Kiba nodded.

Both Kiba and his dog got the scent.

"Good," said Shino and then turned to Hinata. "Hinata-chan, you make sure to keep track with the Byakugan. You know the creatures chakra-signature… right?"

Hinata nodded.

"Yamanaka-san, you and Uchiha-san, you are the back-up team as Hokage-sama suggested, is that clear?" Shino asked the two remaining team-mates.

The blonde girl and the black haired man nodded without questions.

"Good, now let us head out," Shino ordered.

It was no wonder that it was Kiba that first found the track of the creature they were searching for. But then a strange thing happened. His trusted dog Akamaru curled back, and yelped like a little puppy. And then Kiba saw a man, dressed in a traditional garments and had silvery long hair. He was resting against a tree and Kiba rushed forward only to stop dead in his tracks as a sword suddenly was pointed towards him.

"Foolish human," snarled the man seated against the tree as he opened his eyes and they glowed with a sulfur yellow color.

And suddenly the man against the tree had risen to his feet – the sword still pointing at Kiba. But before he could react – he himself had a sword pointed towards his throat.

"I am sorry, but I suggest you will lay down you weapons," a dark voice hissed behind Sesshomaru.

It was then Sesshomaru saw the woman-child with the white eyes again.

"You?!" he almost whispered.

Hinata walked towards him and bowed politely. Her porcelain white cheeks were dusted with a small blush.

"I am sorry Sesshomaru-sama, but I beg you, please come with us, we… we have much to discuss I believe," Hinata said with her soft voice and held out a hand towards the silvery haired man. "You trusted me earlier to heal you wounds, please trust me now to come with us… please?" she asked again as Sesshomaru hesitated.

Sesshomaru lowered his sword and sheathed it soon. The sword against his neck disappeared almost immediately and he looked around and was rather annoyed that he had been had by a small group of human youngsters. Even though not many of them were older than that blasted demon slayer that travelled with his half-brother – these youngster had some really good skills.

"Sesshomaru-sama?", that soft voice of that white eyed woman-child. It would be the end of him one day, he was sure.

Kiba was confused as he watched his own dog began to lick the man's hand and yip and growl lightly as if he was a small puppy again.

"Akamaru!" growled Kiba and the dog fell back as they walked towards the village with this strange man in between them.
