"What? No. It can't be one of us, right?" Jimin sputters out, worried.
"I don't know. We have to find out, somehow." Jungkook says, determined.
"How?" Taehyung asks, curious. Everyone else glances at Yoongi, who gives them a puzzled look.
"What? Me? Alright then." Yoongi says. It was obvious. They couldn't count how many times they've seen \heard Yoongi talk about investigation and cases. It was his chance to shine.
"So...what do we do?" Hoseok asks.
"Well... Hoseok and I will watch over Seokjin's body." Yoongi says, looking at Hoseok.
He looks at Jimin and Taehyung. "You guys call Jackson. We have to dispose of the body and register Seokjin as dead. Also, there's some things we need to cancel."
He then looks at Jungkook. "You..." Yoongi pauses, thinking.
"You can comfort Namjoon. He must be so heartbroken by this, you know. Their bond was really strong." Hoseok says, finishing Yoongi's sentence. They nod, then leaving the room.
"Okay. Now that they're gone..." Yoongi says, shutting the door.
"We're going to inspect every part of this room. We need to know everything." Yoongi whispers.
"Oh. You lied to them." Hoseok says, looking away.
"I had to. They don't know anything about investigation." Yoongi says. "Hopefully, we'll be able to solve this. We can't mess up a single thing."
"Okay. Any information on this?"
"So far I've determined that he died from something to the heart. Like, a stab wound or maybe something else? There's blood on the bed, and I'm not sure if he died there or if he had an injury there." Yoongi says, not even sparing a glance.
Hoseok looks over at the bed and sees some smeared blood.
He looks back at Yoongi, who wasn't done yet. "Also, could you help me look around? That's all." Yoongi said with a smile, handing him gloves.
Hoseok looks around, trying to investigate.
Investigation Mode: Begin
Hoseok looks around the room. "What should I start with?"
He sees the drawer.
[Yoongi's already looked through it...] Look in the drawer? Yes or No?
No
Hoseok decides against it. He looks beside it.
He sees the bed.
Look under the bed? Yes or No?
Yes
Hoseok looks under the bed, and sees something hidden in the back, with something dripping from it.
Take It? Yes or No?
Yes
Hoseok takes it out and inspects it. "A bloody knife. Obviously it's the murder weapon, right?"
Bloody Knife added to Evidence.
"I should tell Yoongi." Hoseok thinks. He walks over to Yoongi.
"Hmm?" [Yoongi wants to know what you want.]
Evidence:
- Bloody Knife -
Present Bloody Knife? Yes or No?
Yes
"I found this bloody knife under the bed."
"Is this the murder weapon?" Yoongi asks.
"Yeah, I guess. They were probably in a haste to get rid of evidence." Hoseok says.
"Wow. Alright, do you think this is what he was stabbed with?" Yoongi asks.
"You check." Hoseok says, looking away.
Yoongi walks over and gently puts it in the wound, but accidently moves it a bit, leaving a small cut. ["Shit. Hopefully Hoseok didn't see that..."]
Yoongi looks beside him to see Hoseok covering his eyes. ["Hah. Guess he really hates seeing blood."]
Yoongi takes the knife out. "Yep. He got stabbed with this, it's the murder weapon. ...But if you get stabbed, wouldn't a lot of blood come out?" Yoongi says.
"Yeah. I think we can determine he died from blood loss." Hoseok says.
-Cause of Death- added to Information.
"Oh, okay. Anyways, I will check for any fingerprints. Speaking on the topic of fingerprints, there were no fingerprints on the body. Strange, right?"
-Fingerprint Info- added to Information.
"Wow. Strange. Do you think they used gloves?" Hoseok asks.
"Possible. Can't find any gloves, though." Yoongi says, shooing Hoseok off.
Hoseok gets the memo, and walks away. What's next?
He really can't think right now. Why not? For one, the murder stuff is messing with his mind. Two, he feels a bit stressed out of all this, and time is key. He couldn't waste time. And three, he can't seem to think of anywhere else to look for stuff. He thinks of a place where he can look. "*sigh*"
As much as he hated it, he would have to look at his body sooner or later. He walks over, taking a deep breath, and opens his eyes.
He crouches down, carefully inspecting Seokjin's body. He notices a wound on Seokjin's head. "It's enough to make blood, but not enough to die from it." Hoseok thinks to himself. He takes some pictures, careful with every angle.
-Pictures of Body- added to Evidence
He looks over at the bed smeared with blood on it's edge. "Maybe he hit the bed?" Hoseok thinks. "But how?"
He looks over to Yoongi, who's busy looking through random stuff. "What are you doing?"
"I'm searching through stuff. Anything could be important." Yoongi says, shrugging.
"Well... I found a wound on Seokjin's head." Hoseok says. Yoongi turns around.
"Really? Let me see!" Hoseok brings Yoongi to the body, and points out the wound.
"He must've hit his head, I'm sure. Head trauma." Yoongi thinks to himself, looking at the bed and then at Seokjin's head.
"So, I guess he hit his head on the bed, and at the angle it is, I think he hit it with a lot of force. Obviously he wouldn't die from it, but it is possible he got a concussion and loss consciousness after the hit. A sign of struggle, might I add." Hoseok says.
"Yeah, definitely head trauma." Yoongi whispers, getting up and going to the place he was at before.
-Head Trauma- added to Information.
Hoseok inspects the floor, noticing that there isn't any hair strands anywhere. "They must've really planned this, huh?" Hoseok thinks to himself. "I wonder how they got rid of so many."
Hoseok sighs, getting up and going to help Yoongi.
"What could possibly be interesting of these books?" Hoseok asks.
"Everything in this room can lead us to something." Yoongi says.
"You're sounding awfully a lot like Namjoon, you know?" Hoseok says, still sorting through the books.
"Shut up." Yoongi hisses, taking out a book and opening it.
They continued opening all the books, finding nothing.
"See?! I told you." Hoseok whines. Yoongi rolls his eyes, looking over and seeing a book beside Seokjin, and a paper.
"Oh, look. Seokjin must've been reading before he died. I'll put the bookmark back in its place." Yoongi thought to himself, grabbing the paper and putting it in the book. He closed the book and picked it up, putting it on the table.
"So.. What do we do now? I don't think there's anything else in the room that we haven't gone through." Hoseok said, fidgeting with his fingers, nervous.
"I guess we can check for fingerprints on this. I mean, obviously we are not professionals, but I think we can at least try." Yoongi said, showing the knife.
"Okay, then. Let's go and check." Hoseok said. They walked out of the room, going to the kitchen.
"How exactly will this work?" Hoseok asked.
" I read an article on how to dust fingerprints."
" Don't we need talcumgraphite based powders? What things are in the kitchen that we can use?" Hoseok asked, raising an eyebrow.
"We don't have those things on hand, but we can use..." Yoongi paused, looking away.
"What?" Hoseok was confused as to why Yoongi had paused.
"..Corn starch." Yoongi finished his sentence.
"Corn starch? Really?" Hoseok didn't buy it.
"Yeah. Let's just try, at least." Yoongi said. "Where is it?"
"Here." They used it, and found..
"Nothing?!" Hoseok said, surprised.
"Yeah.. I guess there isn't any fingerprints." Yoongi said.
-Fingerprints On Knife- added to Information.
"Alright then.. Just put the corn starch away then, where Seokjin usually puts.."
They both pause at the mention of Seokjin. The mood suddenly dimmed at the thought of him. "Oh.." Yoongi realised.
They had forgotten about him while doing the investigation. They looked at each other, remembering about Seokjin. Maybe they were taking this too far. Maybe they should've left it to the cops. They couldn't possibly do this, right?
"We're caring more about the investigation than Seokjin..." Yoongi thought to himself. He faced Seokjin, and asked:
"..Want to check on him?" Yoongi asked. "Sure."
Yoongi [gently] puts the knife down on the table, and walks away with Hoseok, to Seokjin's room.
[Before]
Jimin and Taehyung leave the room, going to their room and calling Jackson.
*ring*
"Hello?"
"Jackson, hey!"
"..What do you need?"
"What do you mean?"
"You guys always call me when you need something. What is it?"
"Well.. Seokjin died-"
"Seokjin died?! How?"
"He got murdered. We need you to like, register in his death and do all the government stuff. We kinda want to have a funeral for Seokjin without the police knowing."
"Woah, hold on. That's a lot on my hands, you know? Do you know how many strings I have to pull for this? You can't call the police?"
"Yoongi and Hoseok want to investigate first. Please?"
"I'll try. You do know you guys will owe me a lot for this, right?"
"I know, I know."
"Okay, can I come over first so we can discuss it easier?"
"Sure. Bye."
"Bye."
*beep*
"Okay, Jackson's coming over. How are we going to explain this to him?" Jimin asked.
"I don't know. Let's just go with the flow and play along." Taehyung shrugged it off.
"How are we even going to try that? We don't know anything about funeral stuff, we're clueless!"
"Let's just search it up and hope that it will give us information."
"Fine." They looked it up on the internet, reading as much as they can.
"Okay.. now what? Do we just tell him this stuff?" Jimin asked.
"We can also just ask Yoongi and Hoseok what to do." Taehyung said.
"No, they're busy. We don't need to disturb them." Jimin said.
"Well-" They heard the phone ring again. They picked up the phone.
"Yes? Hello?"
"I'm here."
"Oh, okay."
They ended the call, going downstairs and opening the door. "You're here!"
"Yeah, yeah. Let's go to your room to explain it." Jackson said.
They walked upstairs back to their room.
"This is a dangerous thing we're doing, not contacting actual people for this stuff. We have to be careful." Jackson whispered.
" I understand, but we all know that they won't do much. That's why we're doing this. We have to." Jimin said.
" So.. what do we do, first?" Taehyung asked.
"I can try and convince my brother to do the death stuff. He's a government official, so he can definitely try that stuff. I'm sure you guys can do the cancelling stuff on your own and the funeral. What do I have to do?" Jackson shrugged.
"Oh." That's all Jimin had to say.
"Yeah. See? I just need to give you advice and then it'll click in your head."
"Is that an insult?" Taehyung asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Yep. Can I see Namjoon? I want to check how he's doing." Jackson changed the topic.
"Okay." Jimin lead them to Namjoon's room, peeking inside.
The sight he saw was heartbreaking...
Jungkook walked out first, heading to Namjoon's room. He didn't hear anything. He walked in, Namjoon flinching.
"Hey. You alright?" Jungkook asked, sitting beside Namjoon.
"I don't know.." Namjoon said, in a sorrow voice. He looked away.
"It's okay.." Jungkook tried to hug him, but Namjoon lurched away.
"Okay?! You think it's going to be okay?! I can't believe you. Get out." Namjoon lashed.
"Wait, Namjoon-hyung..." Jungkook said, feeling defeated. ["I.. I was just trying to comfort you.." Jungkook thought to himself.]
"I said get out." Namjoon hissed in a low voice. Jungkook got up, feeling miserable, and left.
The three [Jimin, Jackson, and Taehyung] jumped back as Jungkook opened the door. He stared at them. "What?"
"Oh, we were just seeing what happened.." Jimin explained.
"Go ahead. He's in a bad mood, though." Jungkook muttered as he walked away.
Jungkook walked to his room, sighing. "This isn't good." He said.
He felt stressed. This... This was a murder. One of them did it. He couldn't trust any of them.
He decided to just clean his room to get his mind off it. He noticed in the trash can that there was a lint roller.
"Huh, strange. I didn't put it there, right?" Jungkook questioned, but brushed it off. He continued to clean his room.
The three looked at each other with a surprised glance, having seen everything. They walked in.
"Namjoon? You good?" Jackson asked, sitting beside Namjoon and hugging him. Namjoon didn't respond [quite like how Seokjin didn't after he died].
"Maybe he doesn't want to talk about it." Taehyung said.
"I guess. But Namjoon, you do know that anytime you need us we're here, right?" Jimin asked.
Namjoon gave a slight nod, unsure.
The three realised Namjoon wasn't in the mood to talk, and so they decided to just leave. "Wow, guess he's really heartbroken."
"Duh."
"Okay."
"Yeah. Anyway, can I see Seokjin?" Jackson asked.
"Sure, I guess. Follow me." Taehyung said, and the three went to Seokjin's room. They opened the door.
"Did you just leave his body like that? Isn't he rotting?" Jackson muttered, with a disgusted look at the smell.
"I think it's just the vomit." Yoongi said as he walked in with Hoseok.
"Oh, you're here." Hoseok said, waving.
"Yeah, maybe we should have a funeral." Taehyung said.
"Okay.."
"..And I only wished that you lived once more." Namjoon finished his speech.
The mood wasn't great today. They were at Seokjin's funeral.
Namjoon walked off the front, hiding behind Yoongi and hugging him, crying.
Taehyung, Jungkook, and Jimin was sobbing, and Yoongi\Hoseok stayed silent.
They missed Seokjin dearly, and anything that reminded them of Seokjin made them sadder.
His family was there too, crying because they lost the one they loved dearly.
The members gave their condolences, and then left.
When they went home, everyone immediately went to their room. Namjoon sulked, holding the gift Seokjin had gave him one time..
"You can have this. No problem. I spoil only the best!" Namjoon could remember his voice clearly. He hugged the gift tighter.
Jungkook and Jimin sat together, crying and hugging each other. They already missed Seokjin a lot.
Taehyung just sat quietly, thinking about what he saw in Seokjin's bedroom earlier. Maybe he should tell them..
"I have to.. but not now." Taehyung thought. Was he technically a witness in this?
Yoongi and Hoseok just tried to look for more clues. Sure, it was a bit selfish, but they had to find out. They were determined.
Everyone was grieving. They missed their Seokjin dearly.
Most of all, they had anger held in them that someone, someone who's lived with Seokjin and the rest of them for years, had killed him.
That's what would soon break the relationships between certain members.
Profiles:
Kim Seokjin: A very self centered person who might come off as selfish, but in reality he is the eldest of the group and the "big brother". He is very sympathetic to his members, and would die if anything happened to them. He has a lover, Namjoon.
Min Yoongi:
A cold-hearted person on the outside, but on the inside he is really caring to the other members. Totally fits the "tough and mean but cool" stereotype. He's somewhat of a detective and really good at murder cases somehow, and he uses this to his advantage when his members are lying to him.
Jung Hoseok: A happy, hopeful person who makes others happy. At times he can be serious, but at a lot of times he can be a good sport. He reflects his ''ray of sunshine of happiness" on others. Is known for his talent in dancing.
Kim Namjoon: A witted, classy person with a dimple smile. A kind, sweet selfless person who will help you with anything. He's always there for others, but not for himself. He has a lover, Seokjin.
Park Jimin: A sweet person with a sweet personality. He's very affectionate, but he constantly rebels despite their protests. He is best friends with Taehyung.
Kim Taehyung: An outgoing person. Has a "weird" personality, and gets into arguments [Small or Big] alot. He is best friends with Jimin.
Jeon Jungkook: A friendly person who'd love to be your friend. Is known well for his singing talent and how "perfect" he is. The maknae of the group. He used to be selfish, but he's fixen that and he rarely, if ever acts selfish.
Evidence:
. Bloody Knife: The murder weapon. Used to kill Seokjin. Has no fingerprints.
. Pictures: Seokjin's body.
Information\Notes:
