The first things Walter noticed was that it was dark and very cold, and as he began to come to he realised he was struggling to focus his vision. He closed his eyes and laid back down. When he tried to elevate his knees he realised he'd be strapped to some kind of table. It took a moment or so before his recent memories came rushing back- Paige! Ralph!
He heard someone screaming.
He didn't realise it was himself.

Merrick felt like the cat that had caught an entire family of canaries. Getting Walter out of the way would guarantee Scorpion would crumble. He knew one way or another Baker would come through for him. It was no secret that Walter was insanely jealous of his babysitter's ex, and he discovered quickly Drew would do anything to feel important- the illusion of power corrupting him completely and getting Collins involved tied everything up in a neat bow. Who best to take the fall if anything went wrong? The insane stalker creepily obsessed with his former boss.
Destroying Scorpion would free up certain pet projects of Merricks- certain not-at-all legal projects of his. Cabe had been partially right- he was always intimidated by them. They had an incredible knack for sniffing out the truth even without using their hacking skills. Now Merrick was free to do as he pleased. He found it somewhat ironic that though he was now a mere liason he'd never had so much power- or money.

Walter really didn't like being touched. He'd be ashamed if he'd realised he whimpered in fear before freezing as his assailant stroked his tongue down his face, scratching him with his beard as he did so. He didn't think there was a sexual motive to it- just a power move towards the victim he knew couldn't bare the slightest of contact from most people. When Walter was able to pull himself himself out of his frozen state he began screaming- demanding to know where Paige and Ralph were only to have his eyes roll to the back of his head as the sweet scent of chloroform overtook him. Collins tsked at the now unconscious Walter as he removed the rag he'd knocked him out with away from his face "What would be the fun in telling you that?" He questioned the unresponsive genius. "Its not like you're ever leaving me anyway" he laughed manically as he roughly pulled Walter's hair to bring his face to face him.
