Thor sighed and looked around him. It began to be some kind of routine; sigh, look around the room, and then glared on space in front of him.

In front of him lay a person. It had a neck brace and its chest was covered by bandages, which were keeping the broken ribs still. Thor guessed that the ribs are a work Proxima Midnight and her spear. When he sees her for the next time, he'll kill her.

But at the moment, the only person he wanted to kill, was himself. Because he didn't protect his little brother and was a bad big brohter to him. But he couldn't. If he wanted to make it up to Loki, he had to be here.

During last weeks on Statesman, they finally began to act like brothers again. Everything was slowly becoming closer to normal. They even hugged!

Even Loki and Bruce started to act more like friends than enemies. When they started to talk, they forget about everything. Talking about some science stuff, Thor nor Valkyrie were able to understand them

He glanced at his brother and hoped he will wake up soon.

And then nothing.

He felt warm.

Familiar darkness with shining stars.

He opened his eyes.

Loki slowly came to consciousness.

He felt... comfortable and warm, which was weird, considering, that the last thing he remembered was Thanos choking him. He'd expect waking alone on a cold ground, if he'd "lucky" to even wake.

He was lying on something soft and warm. Maybe a blanket? Because what else would explain it?

He felt comfortable and wished to stay like this forever. But no, of course it won't happen. Someone clearly noticed that he was awake and decide to touch his face. Disgusting.

Loki whimpered and tried to pull away, away from this unknown person who cupped his cheek, only to hear a familiar voice.

"Loki?"

The prince stiffened. He tried to open his eyes, but his eyelids refused to lift.

"It's okay, brother. Everything is fine."

Loki relaxed. It was Thor. Yes, it could be an illusion, but it would break with the touch and he had no strenght to think about this now.

And if Thor says that everything is okay, then everything is okay. He wouldn't lie.

Loki finally managed to open his eyes a little and he blinked, suprised, because all he saw were colorful smudges of various shapes, looking a bit like his brother.

So he closed them again and for the second time, it was better. He was able to see some of Thor's features.

"Thorrr..." he croaked. His throat hurt like a hell.

"Yes, brother, it is I. Don't try to speak."

Loki opened his mouth and then closed it again, remembering what Thor said.

"Don't worry, you will speak again soon. Just give your throat some time to heal." Thor stood up.

"I'm going to fetch you some water. You should rest then, because we have to leave this place soon."

Loki wanted to ask Thor and force him to tell what is happening and where they are, but Thor put a glass of water on his lips and he didn't want to spill it all over himself. So he decided to ask later and drank.

-A FEW HOURS LATER-

"We have to go to Earth!"

"But why there? Weren't you just a minute ago babling something about a stone in Knowhere?"

"Yes, but during the time we spend here, he deffinitely came there and stole it. No hard feelings," Gamora turned to Loki, who rolled his eyes.

He could speak, but it was hoarse and he hated it. Those morons were arguing here for half an hour over literally nothing, just wasting time. As soon as he woke, Thor nearly drowned him in water and forced him to sleep. When he woke again, he happily found out that his magic was all right.

His magic was a mess after the year he spend with Thanos. Ebony Maw like to "play" with it and altough it healed, there were scarrs which never disappeared. It became hard to use it and it didn't work well.

He didn't know how it happened, but he was determined to find out. Well, as soon as this horrible mess in the universe ends. However, he was glad that his magic was back and healing him.

Standing wasn't so exhausting how it was in the beginning. But still, he couldn't imagine fighting with Thanos in this condition. Thor wanted to exlude him from fighting, but Loki knew he won't run before Titan's revenge. He glanced on Gamora. He remembered her well.

Loki was lying on the ground . His body hurt and his vision was blurry . He was like since Gamora left him after " interrogation ." It was a several hours , but the fact didn't make lying in his own blood more comfortable.

He inhaled a trembling breath and tried not to cry . Tears filled his eyes and he shut them tightly . He never thought that he would resist for so long. He hoped t hat Thanos would kill him as soon as he'd find out that he has no use for him . That he would be free. But no. With every day , more pain came and every time it was worse , because his pain treshol d was still higher . He was able bear more pain and Thanos hated it.

What if he gave up? Jus t a few days ( or weeks ?) ago, he would refuse it immediately . He didn't want to betray Thor, Frigga , Eir , He imdall and all the people who were there during his childhood . No matter if they were good or bad . Not even Odin . He still wanted to prove himself in fro nt of his father -not father . He didn't want to give up so easily .

But now he saw , that when Thanos truly wants something , nothing can stop him . And what about Asgard ? Does someone remember him ? D oes anyone want to save him ? He doubted that . No one ever came . Asgard forget about him and his family doesn't love him anymore . And they most likely never did .

Few hours later , when he kneeled in front of Thanos , his mind was full of similar thoughts . He didn't have the strenght to resist anymore .

His last hope was death . He hoped that he will lost and he'd be killed . If by Thor's hand or some mortal's didn't mat ter to him .

For a moment he thought he'd be able to control his actions and reverse Thanos ' plans , even if like this . But when the scepter touched his chest , he realized , that it won't be that easy.

"Loki?"

Loki flinched when a familiar voice ripped him out of his memory. He looked around him, confused. Everone was watching him carefully. Suddenly, a small voice spoke just under his chest.

"I am Groot?"

In front of him, there stood a small... Flora Colossus? Loki raised one eyebrow. He haven't seen this kind of creature for a long time. Then he remembered that it asked him a question.

"Do not fear, it was just a memory. I'm okay," he answered.

"Wait, you can speak groot?" spoke the racoon.

Thor shrugged. "We both can. It was an elective subject. Anyway, Loki, what happened?"

"I was just thinking."

To everyone's suprise Gamora spoke up. "Look, I know that apology will fix nothing. But I want you to know, that what I've done to you, wasn't my intention. Thanos forced us both to do horrible things. I don't want you to forgive me, but I want you to know, that... I'm sorry."

Then she crossed the room and hugged him. Loki stunned and looked at her in confusion. The others were suprised as well. No one expected this to happen.

When the words finally reached Loki's brain, he realized what they actually meant and that they were true. He hestitantly returned the hug. When they pulled away, Loki cleared his throat.

"I know what's it like. I don't want to give all the fault to you, but... I need time. Every time I see your face, I feel like I'm back there." He shook his head. "I won't try to kill you to get a revenge. But I'm afraid I won't be able to talk to you like normal person for a while, like nothing happened. I just need time... I'm sorry, too."

Gamora nodded. "I understand. Actions mean more than words. If you'll ever need help, you know where to go." She smiled.

"Okay, can someone please explain what the fuck just happened?!"

Silence.

Loki and Gamora both looked uncomfortable. Then Loki spoke up.

"Let's just say, that we know each other for a few years, though we haven't seen since before New York."

"Was she one of your army leaders?" asked Thor curiously.

"Norns, no. She was making me a very kind company after I fell of the Bifrost."

Thor wanted to argue, but Loki's glare silenced him. "I don't want to talk about it now, Thor. One day, I will tell you, but please, don't make me do it now."

The God of Thunder sighed. "Okay," he agreed.

Then Drax interrupted a slightly awkward silence, which came after Thor's agreement.

"I think we should go to Terra like said the god-man here."

No one seemed to disagree with him. After all, where else they could go?

Quill sighed. "Okay, we're heading to Earth then."
