CHAPTER THREE

Donna is waiting at the Walsh's and has been for over an hour and wonders where Cindy and Brenda are. She is getting really worried.

An hour ago Cindy pulls up at the pharmacy and runs in and gets Brenda's prescriptions and while Cindy is in the pharmacy Brenda sees a face in the crowd and it shocks her. How could he find her? How could he be out of prison? How could he be here but this is the second time that she has seen him and the first time she thought she had to have imagined it, but she knew that she really was seeing him. She started to panic wondering what to do. The FBI agent that worked the case should she call him? He could find out if it was possible that it was him. She hoped so anyway. She carried his card with her still. She carefully got her purse and dug out his card and called the number for Aaron Hotchner and she explained to him what she was seeing and he yelled at David Rossi and he called the prison to check and found out that Simon Peterson had escaped and they had not been informed and that agents would be there to get Brenda, her mom, her dad and her twin brother to get them into protection until they could catch him and put him back in prison where he belonged. Aaron and his team would be in the air ASAP and headed to Beverly Hills to help bring the unsub back to his prison cell where he belongs.

Cindy comes out and gets in the car and Brenda points him out to her and she pales and she worries about her pregnant daughter. She is told not to go home, to stay traveling in town in crowded areas and they would extract them, they would let them know as soon as they could get a team together and a passcode that Brenda would recognize and she knew what Aaron was thinking of and was going to look forward to seeing the team, but wished it wasn't under these circumstances. She wondered how Spencer was doing. Reid and her had hit it off a little too well the Bureau had thought considering she was only 14 when she met him and 16 when she was forced to leave him behind, but then she met Dylan and fell in love with him. It was going to be strange to see Spencer again with Dylan in the picture and her pregnant with his babies. How will she feel? She was scared that Simon Peterson was back and would be a threat to her, her babies, her parents and brother.

Meanwhile, Cindy is still driving and all of a sudden a car pulls out in front of her and stops forcing her to stop and she tries to back away thinking it is a trap by Simon to get Brenda, but it is a not Simon and cars fall behind her too, trapping her and Brenda reaches for the gun that Cindy keeps in the glove box of the car and she is trained in how to shoot a gun and she is ready to defend herself, her babies and her mom. Aaron taught her how to shoot and she was very good, it saved her life once. She guesses she should have killed Simon when she had the chance before. She would not make the same mistake twice. She aimed the gun and was about to shoot when the code name was given. Spencer Reid sends Phoenix. Brenda looked at her Mom and smiled no one knew what that really meant. No one but Spencer and Aaron. No one else on the team knew what that meant or about it. Spencer and Hotch were the only ones there when she had risen from the ashes like a phoenix rises. She wasn't a murder then. If given the chance to kill Simon again she would do it, she knew she would protect her babies and family. She knew Hotch was going to have to be told she was pregnant and so was Spencer. Spencer was older than she was he was 21 when she met him 4 years ago and now he was 25 and she was 18 and pregnant. She knew he would not care for Dylan and the way he treated her! Oh man, Dylan and her friends, Donna was at her house and was at risk!

She cautiously got out just in case, not wanting to be surprised. "I have a gun and know how to use it and I will not relinquish it. Just in case! Who is in charge?"

A woman steps forward that she recognizes as Emily Prentiss. "I was close by and Hotch called me and told me what happened and felt that I should be here to bring you in myself, that you would know who I am. He didn't tell me how but he said you would know even though I wasn't with the team when Simon Peterson was raping and killing families."

"I do recognize you. I've seen your picture and the picture of the team, that Hotch has now and everyone new and old that is on your team. You don't mind, but can we get my Mom and get out of here? I really don't want to wait around to see if Simon Peterson wants to see if he can rape or kill me, especially now that I am pregnant with twins. We need to move and get me and Mom, my Dad and Brandon and also a friend is waiting for me at my house and she has tried to call me and I have not answered her phone calls, and the father of the babies and my friends what is being done about extracting them and their families?"

Emily motions for Cindy to join them, she got out of the car when Brenda nodded her head. She knew that Brenda knew more about defense and guns than she did because Hotchner the head of the BAU at the FBI taught her. So, she knew she would not be helping Brenda, but hindering her if she had to defend herself, but with her being pregnant? Could she safely defend herself without jeopardizing her babies? She had a feeling that they might all find out if Brenda could, if Simon Peterson had his way, Brenda certainly would. Cindy knew Spencer Reid would be coming, he cared too much for Brenda to stay behind and she knew he would do anything to protect her daughter and her babies. She wondered what Dylan would do and think when Spencer showed up and showed a very big interest in Brenda and what she would be going through. Yes, she loved Dylan like a son, but was mad at him for how he had treated her daughter and thought he deserved to see someone else interested in Brenda and Spencer from the first was interested despite Brenda's age was interested, in spite of it was more like it. Things should be getting very interesting. She knew they needed to leave there so walked over to Brenda and they left the car behind after Brenda went back grabbed her purse and her extra clips for the gun. She wasn't about to be left unarmed.

She climbed in one of the SUV's and her Mom got in the back passenger side of the vehicle. They knew that they had kept moving and wasn't sure if they had lost him or not but wasn't taking any chances.

Brenda asks Emily, "Emily, my brother and dad and my friends Steve Saunders, Andrea Zuckerman, David Silver, Dylan McKay, I suppose Kelly Taylor, and my friend Donna Martin is at my house. Her Dad John Martin is my Doctor and he is who told me today that I am three months pregnant. I know you usually don't pull friends, but with what this guy does to people my friends and their families will be at risk. I don't want them hurt because of him and who he is and what he does to people and families. I know it is not my fault but I need them pulled, too."

Brenda begs Emily who decides to leave it up to Hotch to tell her no, she wasn't going to, but he would. So she call Hotch and she explains and is shocked when he agrees and she can hear in the background Reid demanding to talk to Brenda and wonders at that.

Brenda's face changes when she hears Spence's voice and she remembers a time over two years ago when he would gently take her face in his hands to kiss her. The passion that would ignite in just a kiss. Nothing more because of her age and his job. He still doesn't know the real reason she hadn't stayed and wouldn't know that she had loved him enough to let him go. She loved Dylan now, but she would always love Spence too. What to do?
