Chapter 3: Settling in.

(Greetings to all who embrace the fantasy of imagination. First things first, I read the second chapter and I did not like it that much so I made a new draft so if you just read the second chapter and about to read the third one then you will be very confused on where the hell this story is going so I implore you to read the new draft. Anyway that's about it. Other than that, enjoy the chapter.)

Beyond sat with his legs crossed, meditating. He was currently sitting in the living room, after a few hours of sleep he was awake and training, what was he training? He was training his breathing patterns. When he mastered Essokinesis, he wanted to test if he could gain abilities from different worlds and tested it out on a clone of himself that he conjured. It was a success and after that he gave himself the fabled sharingan of the uchiha clan, he modified it so that he would be able to unlock it's levels through training instead of intense emotions, trauma or taking another uchiha's eyes and none of the weaknesses. He started with one tomoe in each eye cause he wanted the experience of using them instead of just willing the experience into his mind and body. He wanted to earn this power through effort and absolute proficiency. He did not want to be like those lazy, immature, man-child that go around being mentally insignificant heroes or egotistically fragile villains.

After getting the sharingan, he decided that he wanted to use certain techniques from a certain anime that had caught his attention in his last life. First he modified his body to have absolute potential so that it has unlimited potential and capacity for growth and learning, allowing him to learn and master absolutely anything he wants, regardless of his skills, personality, species, etc. He would have no ceiling to what he can learn and no limitations on what he can develop, allowing him to develop endlessly in any and all areas, and can attain any or powers he could think of naturally. The next thing he did was conjure 17 scrolls on breathing styles. These scrolls are swordsmanship forms practiced and taught by a certain 'corps.' The Breathing Styles make use of specific and concentrated breath patterns, which increase the user's lung capacity and amount of oxygen in the blood. This increase of oxygen allows the user to enhance their physical abilities and mental concentration, allowing them to fight on par with Demons, whose physical prowess surpasses that of the average human.

Focused Breathing is also capable of clotting wounds from severe injuries and slowing down the circulation of poison in the bloodstream. All known Breathing Styles currently taught within this corps are derived from the 'Sun Breathing' scroll, the first one ever created. After reading the scrolls, he learned something that made him very happy. The elements and constructs that showed up on the anime were 100% real and not just effects that only the audience can view or theoretical metaphors. They were truly bending the elements and constructs to their will. This excited him immensely because not only would he be able to bend the elements and constructs with any weapon but with some testing of his theories and training he would soon learn how to bend the elements and constructs with his body as well and all of this could be achieved just by breathing a certain way. The possibilities were limitless and Beyond couldn't wait to see how far he could take it and if he found someone worthy, he would make them one of his champions as he created his tournament.

He could hardly wait but first he had to lay down his foundation and finish mastering his mind, body, and spirit. The first breathing style that he was working on now was called "Total Concentration Breathing." This breathing style is a state where a breathing style user inhales the maximum amount of oxygen within a specific breath pattern to raise their physical and mental prowess to their utmost limits. It is often used by Demon Slayers for a brief moment to temporarily boost their combat capabilities to prepare a decisive attack. When he first started he was in Japan on Mt. Fuji and used his essokinesis to manipulate the landscape into a death run that he would run up and down the mountain twice a day for 3 months, with each flawless run he would upgrade the death run. It was extremely touch-and-go there but due to his mutant power he persevered and saved himself from death's grip once again increasing his endurance, sharpening his senses and increasing his agility.

After the 3 months of brutal training he conjured a scroll for kenjutsu and a katana and performed the same endurance process as before but instead wielding a katana as a way for him to start thinking of it as part of his own body. After descending the mountain, he would stand at the foot of the mountain and swing his sword several times until he felt like his arms would fall off. Next, Beyond would learn about the intricacies of the weapon and the forces behind it as he starts slashing bamboo poles to train aiming and precision and for breathing, he would learn the proper forms of breathing, receiving blows to the stomach from a clone of himself that he conjured with essokinesis that has complete mastery of the forms when he fails to get it right. This took 9 months which in total took a year but due to his body's potential being limitless, his endurance is triple that of an ostrich that is capable of running a marathon in an estimated 45 minutes, his speed is that of a cheetah and the strength to lift 5 tons. However, these stats were achieved without Total Concentration Breathing.

With it however, those feats were doubled and he was at the pinnacle of enhanced human and a half-step away from a supernatural human and he was 16 when he started the training regimen. As he meditated, he thought that it was time to master the next stage of Total Concentration Breathing. It was called "Total Concentration: Constant." This technique is a state in which Advanced Demon Slayers, such as the 'Hashira,' can constantly maintain Total Concentration Breathing even while asleep and at all times. There is an immense difference in strength, speed, and stamina between someone who can maintain Total Concentration Breathing at all times and someone who cannot. Learning to maintain a constant state of Total Concentration Breathing requires tremendous effort, though, the skill itself is noted to be quite elementary despite the required effort. The training process involves blowing into a special type of super durable gourd. The objective is to blow into the gourd with enough strength to make the gourd break apart.

As training progresses, the gourd is replaced by larger and larger variations of the same type of gourd. The largest known gourd is about the size of a chair. Some would say how did he get that strong so fast? It was due to the very first ability he conjured after conjuring the instruction manual for essokinesis. This ability is also the main reason that he pretty much mastered essokinesis in the first place, its called "Adaptive Development." This ability allowed him to permanently improve at an incredible rate through challenges when limits are reached. For some, this ability allows one to imprint on their experiences; while not growing in power level, energy, mental and physical strength, or conditioning, it allows them to adapt and instantly improve their performance through refined tactics and skillset. For others, the exact opposite is applied; their methods and techniques in battle remain the same while their sheer strength and speed will steadily increase in very short periods of time. Beyond, however, has the best of both and more since he combined it with his limitless potential.

Unfortunately he was going to have to put a hold on conjuring the gourd to train because someone was heading his way to interrupt him. Footsteps entered the living room which revealed that it was Jean Grey. She took notice that Beyond was sitting in the living room meditating which confused her because she was an early bird and this was the first time seeing someone her age up earlier than her and doing something that yoga instructors do. Jean walked over, and sat down next to him and gently shook his shoulder causing to open his eyes and turn to her. "Hey, are you alright?" She asked as she looked at Beyond with a curious expression.

"I'm stable, it's just been an experience." He replied.

"Professor Xavier is trying to sort out everything that happened," Jean told him. "It isn't really your fault. You were scared and without help, but that's what we're here to do, we're here to help." Beyond raised a brow but said nothing as she came up with that theory.

"So, do you want to talk about what happened?" Jean asked in a tentative voice.

"..." Beyond replied with silence and a swift exhale.

Jean frowned. He seemed to be very guarded. He seemed to be one of those people who was unwilling to confide in others, unless he absolutely had to. Curiosity filled her that she tried to squash. She could almost tell that he had been through some kind of ordeal recently. Professor Xavier had hinted about that much. "Okay." Jean said. "So when did you discover your powers?" Once again she was met with silence. "I know that you think you are surrounded by enemies but I promise you that there are good people here that will help you and teach you how to control your powers. that's what the Institute is for, to help young mutants figure out their gifts and how to learn them." Jean told him.

"You have no need to make something that's outside of chaos's comprehension. So, what are your abilities since you wish to know mine?" Beyond finally spoke up. Jean took a deep breath and sighed. She looked over at a nearby table, and lifted it up into the air. Beyond watched the progress with the table and nodded. "Telekinesis. I can lift up to ten times my body weight, but I don't think I've tried too much. The larger the object, the harder it is to control and guide properly. Jean said to Beyond who once again nodded. "And that's not all I can do," Jean told him, but she took a deep breath. This one might cause some problems. "I'm also a telepath."

"So, you can interpret the thoughts of people and understand them on a conceptual level." Beyond deduced.

Jean blinked before she responded. "That's really a wordy way of saying that I can read minds. The way you explained tells me that you had a very bad experience with someone who could read minds. People don't have to always read minds to know what a person is thinking. Professor Xavier is a telepath as well, and he's sworn never to use his powers unless given permission. I've tried to do that as well."

"What do you mean try?" Beyond asked her. Jean had a feeling that this was going to be an awkward conversation. "Well, Professor Xavier's telepathy works slightly differently than mine. He has to prod his way into the mind to read thoughts. His is more active. Mine is more passive, like a radar picking up thoughts, although it could become active with time I guess. I had to work hard to shut it off, because…" Jean paused at that moment, before she continued with a smile crossing her face. "Let's face it, there's nothing more awkward than reading people's thoughts, and realizing that when they are looking at you, they're really picturing you naked." Beyond chuckled in spite of the situation. "I swear, I'll try to keep out of your thoughts, because I know they should remain private and sacred," Jean told him, and Beyond decided to give her some of his respect.

"Very well, I suppose I could tell you a bit, just try not to interrupt. My powers manifested when I was four and a half years old." Beyond began but was interrupted.

"That young? But how did-" She stopped as Beyond gave her a blood-curdling glare. "Sorry, please continue." she apologized embarrassingly.

"If it happens again, I'm done talking to you. Anyway, my powers manifested when I was 4 and a half years old and I realized that I had the abilities of a mythological creature that gods of any and all pantheons feared. This mythological creature was sired by a dragon and spider deity." Beyond stopped to look at Jean who shivered in disgust at the image which caused him to chuckle. "A disturbing image but there are more disturbing myths than the one I'm telling. Anyway, this creature was the very first of its kind and had the telepathic immunity of it's spider mother and body adaptation of it's dragon father with some abilities of its own. The spider has the abilities psychic shield and psychic shadow, the first one makes it highly resistant to psychic attacks while the other one to mask it's psychic presence and obscure the perceptions of psychic trackers but when combined, it becomes immune to all things telepathic. The dragon's body can permanently adapt to things it experienced and was said to have no limit in its potential." Beyond finished telling this mythological story that he created.

"That's it? Is there more to the story? Why'd you stop?" Jean threw rapid-fire questions and wanted the story to continue as she was interested to know more.

"I said I'd tell you a bit, I already told you what abilities my mutant power gave me but if you wish to know more, you'll have to earn my full respect." He stated before going silent. Jean sighed but at least he was being civil and not considering her a potential threat due to her telepathy, speaking of that, she realized that since she's been around him, she hasn't heard a single surface thought from him, it was just absolute silence, it was refreshing and tranquil to be around someone who's surface thoughts popped into her head about them being jealous of her, wanting to bed her or worse when multiple voices began talking which gave her a migraine. Jean and Beyond sat for another couple of moments, until Scott Summers turned up, yawning. "Oh, hello, Jean and... Beyond." Scott said, fixing his gaze on the newest prospect of the Xavier Institute. "How are you enjoying your stay so far?"

"Hn." Was all that Beyond uttered. Both Jean and Scott looked at each with Jean sighing and shrugging. Scott just nodded. They spent the rest of the time before breakfast making light conversation, with Beyond carefully avoiding the subject of his full power. The next few days, Beyond stayed at the Institute and ran over everything he found out throughout his time. He knew that there would come a time where he would have to make a decision whether he should stay, or should go. Right now, he was trying to figure out his options, not that there were many. To be honest, if he had left, nothing would change, it's just that he was here on a whim and to see what marvels he would experience then move on to the next one. Everyone at the institute seemed to be patient with him, and it did have a certain welcoming feeling that made the humane part of Beyond chuckle. He did consider the possibilities of being here.

A grey-haired man dressed in black stood with a surly expression on his face. He wore an eye patch, and he stared down a group of government agents. The agents backed up from him, and they appeared to be a bit nervous. Despite being hardened agents of a secret government organization, they knew when they were about to be chewed out. The man was someone who commanded a great deal of respect from everyone around him. He was as tough as nails. The floating government base was high above everyone, hidden to everyone whether they would be friendly or otherwise. There were very few in the various governments in the world who knew of its existence. It was a super-secret government base, and organization. This flying fortress was called Helicarrier. It was the headquarters of Strategic Homeland Intervention Espionage Logistics Directorate, or SHIELD as it was most commonly known as. The man in the eye-patch stared them down. He was Nick Fury, and he was not someone to be messed with.

"Let me get his straight," Fury said, and his tone left no room for argument. "Some of my best government agents were tripped up by a teenage boy. And then you lost him, and have no further information about him or how he arrived here!" The Director of SHIELD snarled those last words. The agents understood that this was the time to keep their mouths shut. Fury breathed in and out. He took out a cigar, and took a puff on it. He stared down at his agents through a narrowed eye. "Powers or not, that kind of performance is inexcusable," Fury told them in a gruff tone of voice. "I expected something like this from some wet behind the ears rookie, but not from hardened government agents. And Magneto's interference is even more troubling. He has interest in the boy."

"Our intelligence indicates that he left with Xavier's two associates," one of the agents reported.

"Yes, Xavier and his institute, I do have that under close surveillance," Fury said, and there was a moment of silence. The grizzled government agent took another puff on his cigar. "I've been at this game since before most of you were just a twitch in your Daddy's trousers. I've seen everything that you can believe, and many things that you would not believe. Yet, this new arrival, the readings that we scanned from this crater in Death Valley… well you read the reports." The government agents responded with swift nods. There was a moment of silence and Fury continued to speak with them.

"We know little about this new arrival, where he came from, and how," Fury said. "All we know is that he is capable of great power. That could make him a potentially dangerous situation. We must keep a close eye on him, and be prepared to strike in case he becomes too much of a problem." SHIELD was in the business of protecting every single person in the world from a variety of threats. Fury himself knew first hand that it was far from an easy battle. Each and every day there were situations where everything that he knew would be questioned. This was one of those situations. He tried to punch up the satellite photos, and slow them down. There was a brief flash of light. One minute their mysterious visitor was there, and the next minute he was not there. And Fury was at a loss for words as to understand how.

"Information is our game, and when we don't have information, you know that could be a problem," Fury said, and he turned around. "Once we gather the intelligence we need, this may require further invention from SHIELD. For now, we sit back, and we gather everything we can find." Fury turned to his agents. "Is that clear?" he barked. The agents of SHIELD nodded, and they took a few steps back. "Good to see that we're on a common ground. And remember, your training will double after what happened. We're not going to repeat another mistake like you've done with your last mission. I don't need the cream of the crop to be embarrassed. If word gets out, SHIELD will be a laughing stock." There were no protests about the fact that Magneto's involvement may have tipped the odds. SHIELD would be waiting and watching. Fury looked at his men, a swift grin spreading on his face as he stared them down. He was pretty sure that they had gotten the message.

Now it was time to wait for the next move. He continued to study the latest reports. Fury realized that if Magneto knew about this new player, other less than friendly parties would be more than interested in finding out more. Doctor Doom and HYDRA would be two of the potential players to worry about, and Fury had his eye firmly on them. They were among the most dangerous threats that SHIELD had on their radar.

While the X-Men welcomed their newest member, the helmeted form of the Master of Magnetism stood, and pondered everything. He did wonder what might have happened if the X-Men had been a few seconds slower in arriving. It would not matter if they were too much slower. It would just be a period of five minutes at least. He could see that the new young mutant who arrived was considering the merits of joining him. He would have questions, but Magneto could tell that he was considering what he had to say. It was just a minor setback that he had chosen to go with Xavier. It was always a shame when those with optimism had been blinded by Xavier's ideals. Yet it was not something that was unexpected. Xavier had believed in his dream. He turned around, and saw the arrival. A woman stood before him. She was dressed in white. Her skin was blue, and she had red hair. Her name was Raven Darkholme, but she was better known as the shapeshifting mutant, Mystique. "So, the new mutant slipped through your fingers." Mystique said. She tried to keep her tone calm.

"A minor setback," Magneto said. His voice was calm and crisp. Someone of his power learned all they needed to know about control, and more importantly patience. "A war is brewing, and we will need able bodies. The people we recruit might not be the most skilled. However they will be useful. There is a new age dawning, and humanity will try and bring us down to their level." Mystique nodded. The fact she was a shapeshifter meant that there were many that mistrusted her on sheer principle. Magneto had silently reminded her of the debt that she owed him from all of those years ago. She was thus drafted into his service.

"But what about this boy?" Mystique said. "What is so special about him?" Magneto pulled out a set of pictures. He handed them to Mystique. "I was able to liberate these images of our young friend," Magneto said. "His powers are unlike anything that I have ever seen previously, and I think you would agree once you have looked at them."

Mystique was handed the figures. She looked at them. The young man was an interesting marvel. Yet, she failed to see exactly how this young man fit into her employer's plans. She studied every single little bit of the photos intently. He could barely be caught in a photo but when they did, all they caught were his demonic but mystifying red eyes that hypnotizes you to his whims. As a matter of fact, it looked like he was doing it right now because she swore that his eyes were spinning before magneto spoke up, knocking her out of the trance.

"The government already has made many of these photos." Magneto said. He turned around, and stepped back. "As has Xavier, and no doubt they have their own theories. Yet, he may be the one to bring upon a new age for mutants, and allow our brothers and sisters to finally gain the standing that they deserve."

Mystique's look seemed doubtful. "He does have power. But I fail to see how he is anything completely special." Magneto folded his arms. There was a long moment of silence between her and Magneto. The shapeshifter experienced the eerie silence, and it was a moment before Magneto decided to indulge her in a response.

"The potential he has may be unlimited. I do hope that it is not squandered underneath Xavier's thumb. I do see that a free spirit such as this young man might find himself at odds with Xavier and his disciples in due time. We will wait and watch. We'll continue to monitor this situation, and I trust you will report back to me on your mission." Mystique nodded. Posing as the principal at Bayville High School would allow her to get a bird's eye view of potential new recruits. "I expect regular updates on any progress you have made," Magneto said, and he turned around. There was no more correspondence between him and Mystique. They had their conversation, and the pair of them worked together out of necessity. The war would occur soon, and all mutants would have to make a choice where their loyalty lied.

The next few days, Beyond stayed at the Institute and ran over everything he found out throughout his time. Beyond was leaning against the wall with a foot on the wall and his arms crossed. He was using essokinesis to use clairvoyance as he searched certain locations for information. He learned that many corporations got wind of his power but a few don't know what he looks like. Those that do can be counted on one hand. One of them was SHIELD which he expected because their level of technology was more advanced than what the public has as a whole. Another one that he took very cautious and stealthful measures of gathering information is Doctor Doom. This was a man that has mastered magic and technology beyond the limit and was said to be equal or superior to the world's smartest man and leader of the fabled Fantastic Four, Reed Richards, also known as 'Mr. Fantastic' and the mystical Dr. Stephen Strange, also known as the future 'Sorcerer Supreme.'

Turns out that a minor amount of MCU had a little leeway in this comic universe because although the current Sorcerer Supreme is a woman, she looked nothing like her movie counterpart and was not bald. As a matter of fact, no one looked like their movie counterparts, they either looked like their comics or animated selves or if someone had up drew them on Deviantart and upgraded the fan service by 700%. He will admit that there were some very attractive women in this verse and he had the liberty to meet one as she introduced herself as the "Ancient One." But that was to be explained at another time as he got off the wall and headed towards where the professor's study is. As he knocked on the door, a muffled voice spoke up. "Come in, Beyond." Raising a brow in interest about how the man was able to know he was here when his mind was hidden and shielded up but did go inside. Xavier, along with Ororo, Jean, and Scott were standing there. They all acknowledged him with polite nods and smiles. This caused him to speak up with a raised brow.

"Two questions. 1. Did I interrupt something important? And 2. How did you know it was me?" Beyond questions.

"No, you didn't, I was just about to ask Scott to come get you and as Jean most likely mentioned, you're an anomaly in that you are immune to telepathy, even Cerebro was able to find you for a brief moment but you kept disappearing and we were finally able to find you when you were being chased by the government and in a panic and even then, it couldn't tell anything about you except your name which I must say is a name that I never in my life would have guessed." Xavier explained. "I can usually sense the minds around me and since there was a knock with no mind, it had to be you." Beyond nodded and accepted the answer and the incorrect hypothesis that he was 'panicked' which gave Cerebro the opportunity to track him but what really happened is that he allowed it to track him and only enabled it to track him and collect his name and nothing else.

"Yes, I do enjoy others' reactions when they know my name. What is it you wish to see me about?" Beyond asked.

"Well, I believe we have a number of tests to determine what your levels are, both from an academic standpoint, and from a standpoint of where your gifts are." Xavier said. "We can begin them as soon as you are ready."

"I see, It will be an experience going to school without the threat of horrific death right behind me."

"What do you mean?" Jean and Scott asked at the same time, causing Beyond to look at Xavier and Ororo then back at them before sighing.

"Well, I'll explain an abridged version of my life back then to right now. I was born mute, had schizoid personality disorder and cerebral palsy, abandoned by my parents in a the world's worst orphanage, became homeless at age 4, contracted polio from contaminated water, had leukemia, was shot 8 times, lit on fire, hit by a car, and paralyzed at the waist down. The last thing my parents said to me was "Good riddance you abnormal defective." This all happened before what you call my "X-gene" manifested which I'm sure Jean told you was the same year I became homeless." Beyond explained a technically true story that involved events of his former and current life. Jean rushed forward and hugged him while Scott placed his hand on his shoulder and Xavier closed his and turned his head, biting his lips and balling his fist in suppressed rage. Ororo however, wasn't suppressing anything. Meanwhile outside, the cloudless sky suddenly turned very cloudy and thunderous booms echoed.

"Ororo, Calm yourself! You're losing control!" Xavier exclaimed as Ororo who was living up to her namesake as her blue eyes turned completely white and static enveloped her. She gasped before calming down as her eyes turned back to normal and the clouds and thunder dissipated. "Excuse me Charles, but I must go." She replied and with no one stopping her, she left the room. Meanwhile, Beyond looked at all this with only a raised brow.

"Well... That was interesting." He said only to cause Xavier to sigh.

"Forgive her, she also had a somewhat similar rough childhood and due to her power, her emotions have a very close connection with the weather." He explained.

Beyond nodded and turned to Jean who was still hugging motioned for her to let him go and she did. "It really doesn't matter to me anymore since awakening my X-gene, my mind and body had adapted and surpassed my defective traits and became better and stronger. I am the "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger" troupe come to life."

"So your X-gene is like a reactive adaptation type power?" Scott asked as Beyond merely grunted that it sounded like he agreed.

"Fascinating. With that ability we can test the limits of your power and abilities. We can begin them as soon as you are ready." Xavier said.

"If it's alright with you, Professor, I'm ready right now." Beyond said. Xavier nodded, and he turned around. Professor Xavier hoped that Harry would be up for the challenge.

The next few days, school had started after a week long break, Beyond had been to school but he was always in the special ed classes due to his deformity even though he was way above average intelligence and not mentally handicapped and dropped out of middle school. Now he was going to be stepping into the realm of American High School for the first time. He heard stories. Not many stories, but a few stories that made him think rather carefully about what he had to deal with but the challenge excited him. Unfortunately, it was not as challenging as he had expected. He stood outside the doors of Bayville High School. He took a deep breath, and drank in his surroundings. As he caught glimpses of the interactions, with all of the gossiping, relationship drama, and cliques, he wondered if this would be too much different from his former life. Teenagers were in fact, teenagers no matter the world or dimension that they were in. They had the same personality traits whether they had powers or not. He would just have to and see what happened.

He made sure that he had his papers in order. Once he verified they were, he could proceed. Without another word, he took his first steps into the treacherous jungle that was high school and made his way to the principal's office. Waiting for him in the office was a rather severe looking woman. She had dark hair and glasses. She seemed not to be one to be trifled with. The woman, Principal Darkholme, looked at Beyond over her glasses. She was surveying him carefully, trying to figure out where he stood. It was an awkward couple of moments before she decided to break the silence.

"Mr. Birthday." Darkholme said to Beyond in a crisp voice. "Another one of Xavier's has been sent here, I take it."

"Hmm." Beyond grunted without saying a word as he merely handed her his records. Darkholme snapped the records from Beyond's hands. She remained silent for a few minutes. The seconds of the clock ticked by, and Beyond sat himself down on the chair to look at Darkholme. She seemed to be assessing something, and taking her time to do it. After a moment, the Principal of Bayville High School opened her mouth. "Well, Mr. Birthday, your records seem to be in order. There was a sizable gap in your education due to an extended stay in the hospital. I trust your health is in an optimal state now."

"Hmm." He answered. The story seemed to be airtight. Xavier thought that there were going to be people who were going to potentially poke holes into the story, although less if they had gone with some prolonged illness. Harry decided to trust the man's judgment. Darkholme seemed to be particularly intent in picking together each and any hole with his story. It was almost like she did not buy the cover story for one second. "For your sake, I hope you remain in perfect health, and cause no trouble," Darkholme said. She placed the files on the desk. She put her hands on the desk, and her eyes narrowed towards Beyond. She peered at him from behind her spectacles. "I will be watching your every single move Mr. Birthday. Slip up one time, and Xavier can pull as many strings as he wants, but that won't change the fact that you'll be out of here. I have a zero tolerance policy. Is that clear?"

Then Beyond did something that caught her off guard. He started smiling, hard. Darkholme could've sworn that the bones in his jaw cracking from years of never smiling but what disturbed her more than the demonic smile that was riddle with razor sharp dragon-like teeth was actually the atmosphere somehow becoming very cold and heavy as Beyond replied in the calmest, most polite voice he could manage.

"Crystal."

"Then everything that you need to do in this office is done," Darkholme said in a calm and calculated tone of voice but Beyond could see that she was sweating and was trying very hard to not shake from his held back murderous intent. "I trust you'll be able to find your way to your first class. Remember, tardiness is not tolerated, as I'm sure you found out when you read your copy of the school handbook."

"Correct." He replied with a smile still plastered on his face. "Am I excused?"

Without another word, and a nod of consent, Beyond was excused from the office and the atmosphere became normal once again causing Darkholme to gasp and breath heavily as she sat down and thought about what happened. "What the hell was that?! What the hell is he?!" She has never in her life experienced that before. It was like being trapped in a cage with a wild animal and if she made a sudden move she would die. Now she understood why Magneto was interested in him. If he can rattle someone like her who lived a pretty rough life and saw the worst of humanity by just a mere smile, she couldn't even begin to imagine what he was capable of with an action and for some reason it terrified her.

"Even for a mutant, he's abnormal." She muttered as got back to work and tried to regain control of herself.

(Chapter End)

There we go, another chapter done and many more to go. And this time I'll try not put the wrong chapter in this time. So until then, farewell.
