Dylan sighed as he woke up. The morning air smelled sweet. Erika was already awake. "Morning, Erika..." he yawned, as Erika smiled. "How'd you sleep?" Erika smiled, obviously trying not to blush. "I slept great. And you?" Dylan shook his head, as he got his shoes on. "Not as well, but it's better than nowhere." Dylan got on his feet and started making his way to Tippsburgh City.

Erika smiled and led the way. But she didn't know about the rickety wooden bridge. As she stepped on one of the planks, the bridge groaned. "Oh...I forgot about my fear of heights..." she whimpered. The river below seemed to flow faster than ever. Dylan smiled and looked at Erika.

"Not to worry, I'm scared of heights too, but I always envision something great on the other side." Dylan winked at Erika, then looked at the bridge. He walked carefully on it, making sure it didn't collapse, as he held on to the rope supports.

Erika followed him, after a few minutes. "You were right, Dylan," Erika sighed in relief. "Something great IS on the other side." Dylan was curious. "What is it?" he asked. "Never mind..." Erika felt like she was going to swoon.

Dylan and Erika soon made it to Tippsburgh City. There were bridges, bright yellow, and a Pokemon Base Field for their home team, the Tippsburgh Piloswines.

And most noticeably was a Botanical Garden, but it was the home to the first Gym. Erika happily skipped into the Garden as Dylan followed. Inside the gym were lots of flowers, which Erika went to pick a few.

Dylan made his way to the Gym Leader who was leaning by a giant hemlock. He smiled at Dylan. "So, you must be willing to challenge my Gym. I am Forrest, part time forester, full time Gym Leader. I suppose it is a battle you'd like.

I suppose one couldn't hurt for today, I'm about to close up for the day." Dylan and Forrest readied their Poke Balls and out popped Dylan's Yanma and Forest's Pokemon, it was a flowering tulip which stood on its four leaves, called Bulbloomip.

Dex Data: Bulbloomip, the Tulip Pokemon. A Grass type. Bulbloomip are often known to be given to soulmates and are rarely used in battle.

Dylan was nervous. "Yanma, use...Tackle?" Yanma did, and somehow knocked out the Bulbloomip. "Well, you have beat me fair and square, as I have no more Pokemon left." Forrest smiled, as he accepted his defeat. "Therefore, the Pine Badge is yours." He gave Dylan a badge that resembled a tree. Dylan nodded, and put it in his Badge Case. He walked out of the Gym, as Erika followed, with a flower crown she had made.

Dylan had a suggestion. "We should head to the Pokemon Center. My Pokemon do need healed after all."

Inside the Pokemon Center, there was a little kiosk for valentines, despite Valentine's Day being over months ago. Erika bought one while Dylan was waiting for his Pokemon to heal.

After the duo went out into the city, Dylan thought of something out of the blue. "Erika, as much as I hate sports, wanna go out and watch the ball game? I hear the Piloswines are playing against the Anoriza Cardiators." Erika smiled. "I'd love that."

At around the end of the top of the ninth inning, the kiss cam was turned on, and luckily, it didn't find the two as a "couple." This gave Erika the opportunity to put the flower crown she made on Dylan.

He blushed, but didn't question. At around the bottom of the ninth, the two heard a loud crack at the bat, and the ball was shot out of the field. At that moment Erika kissed Dylan, on the lips, as the winning Grand Slam was successful. The Piloswines won 9-4.

After the game, the two went out of the stadium and found the baseball that was shot out of the field. "Huh...that's odd..." Dylan picked up the ball. "Also, Erika...why'd you kiss me back there?"

Erika shuffled her feet. "Well, for the short time we've known each other, I've started...developing...feelings for you. So, I wanted to ask: Will you be my boyfriend?" Erika hoped Dylan would agree.

"Oh, yes! I never thought you'd ask!" Erika smiled and gave Dylan a hug.

"Thank you, Dylan! I love you soooo much." Erika squealed with glee, as she led Dylan out of the city, and onto the next Route.
