Itachi's POV
"Nine, ten! Ready or not here I come!" I called. We weren't just playing a simple game of hide and seek, we were trying to hide our chakra. Not being detected gives you an advantage in battle. You could have the chance to stage an ambush. However, I doubt that chunin, or even a lot of genin, would get fooled by our attempt. Anyway, I thought, I still have to find Ikumi. When did she get so good at hiding her chakra? I wondered. "Hmmm. Where are you Ikumi?" I heard a soft giggle coming from the trees. Found her! When I went up the tree… she wasn't there. Great. She probably heard me and ran. I saw a flash as someone jumped from one tree to another. I've got her now. "Found you!"
"Aw come on, you found me already?" she pouted, not realizing that I had to look for her for a good 5 minutes, which didn't seem like a lot, but could decide if you lived or died in a real battle. She sighed, "Stupid chakra."
"Well, what do you want to do now?" I wondered.
"I'm thinking we should play a game where I win," she said smiling.
I snorted and then said, "We could practice with our shuriken."
"Kay, whoever hits the target the most wins!" I sighed. She was so competitive sometimes, I thought.
I won the first round with 2 more shurikens hitting the middle than her. I also won the next round and the round after that. In the fourth round, she had a determined look in her eyes and she ended up winning that round. After a few more rounds, she ended up winning the game with 7 wins to 6. "You won!"
"Well don't act so surprised," she said, though she looked pleased. "I was going to stop playing if I lost to you the fourth time in a row," she admitted sitting down next to me. I laughed.
