Rin's POV

Both Master Jaken and I watched as Lord Sesshomaru and Talia were about to fight. Inori meowed in my arms.

"Master Jaken what sword is Talia carrying?" I asked.

"I don't know" the imp demon replied. "But it's obviously using Lady Talia as its vessel"

I could tell Lord Sesshomaru did not want to fight his beloved wife. Nor did she want to fight her husband. This fight wasn't going to be easy that's for sure.

Talia's POV

The wind blew making my braid and Sesshomaru's hair flow with it. My mate then charged and I had no choice but to do the same. Ladon and Tokijin's blades met against the other.

"You vermin how dare you possess my wife!" Sesshomaru yelled.

Hoping to break control Sesshomaru pushed me backgrounds and swiped Tokijin at the hand that held Ladon. However it was to no avail because I managed to dodge his blow and I again charged at Sesshomaru. Ladon's black pearl glowed while the dragon demon within chuckled as Tokijin was now against his blade once more.

"So you are the oldest child of Inutaisho" the dragon demon sneered. "How fitting I have your bride under my control"

Sesshomaru snarled before I snapped.

"Shut the f**k up you damn sword! No one's listening to you!"

The fight was getting more intense and Sesshomaru was doing his best to get Ladon off of me. But the damn dragon demon wasn't going to let me go without a fight. I did my best to avoid getting seriously hurt by Sesshomaru. I maybe a skilled fighter but Sesshomaru was stronger since he was a full demon.

Things weren't getting anywhere and now Sesshomaru had me close to a cliff. Once again Ladon's fang was against Tokijin.

"What's the matter Talia? Don't you have the strength to defeat your beloved? I'll lend you my power"

Sesshomaru's POV

Talia's golden eyes turned red and her cheek stripes came out. Using the strength Ladon was giving her my wife began to push me forward.

"This is quite entertaining seeing this half breed mate of yours obey my commands"

"Silence!" I snapped before pushing Talia forward with as much of my strength as I could. I then drew out Valerian and with one swing I used it's Lightning Wave. The attack created a path of destruction and I hoped it would be enough to distract Ladon in order for Talia to break free.

However I was mistaken because my wife stood ahead completely unharmed.

"Damn it" I growled.

Talia's POV

Ladon rambled on about wanting to shed more blood. I then unwillingly turned to Rin and Jaken.

"Run both of you!" I screamed before Ladon took control completely.

Sesshomaru's POV

I swore again when Talia chased after Rin and Jaken. I ran in their direction and prepared to attack.

Talia's POV

Rin fell and I made a swipe at her. Thankfully my adopted daughter was unharmed and Jaken got in front of her protectively. Inori then transformed into her larger form and was now in front of Jaken. The demon cat growled ready to fight to protect them both if necessary.

"Tal! Snap out of it!" I heard Inuyasha shout.

That alone made me stop but Ladon wasn't giving in. The next thing I knew something hard hit the sword and I was out like a light.

Inuyasha's POV

I dropped Tetsusaiga before grabbing Talia. I had used my sword to hit Ladon out of her grasp.

Sesshomaru's POV

I watched as that damned sword go flying into the air. Then my attention went to Rin and Jaken. The two of them were alright thankfully.

"Damn sword did a toll on her" Inuyasha growled.

My half-brother came over to me with Talia in his arms. She was finally free from Ladon's influence and no doubt exhausted.

"You have my thanks this time" I told Inuyasha before taking Talia from him. I turned to leave when Inuyasha called out.

"I'll be the one to destroy Ladon, I don't need any inference from you"

"We shall see" was my response before walking away with my unconscious wife in my arms. Before leaving I picked up Valerian and returned it to its spot on Talia's waist.

Later.

Talia's POV

I opened my eyes and saw it was night. I felt something soft and I looked down to see I had been sleeping on Sesshomaru's boa. My mate wasn't present at the moment but no doubt he would return once he felt I was awake through the mate bond. Valerian and So'unga lay on the ground next to me.

"Luna"

I turned to see Sesshomaru behind me. He had to quit sneaking up behind people. My husband took a seat next to me and caressed my cheek with a clawed hand.

"How are you feeling?" he asked genuinely.

"Glad to be free of that damn sword" I confessed. I noticed Rin and Jaken weren't with us. For right now though it would be best if she and Jaken were kept away until Ladon was destroyed. Sesshomaru undid his armor and put his swords down next to mine. He then carefully pulled me into his lap.

"I worried for you" he said.

"You always worry about me when I'm in trouble Fluffy" I teased.

"That nickname again?" my mate inquired arching an eyebrow.

"Hey the Inuyasha fans like to call you that babe" I countered.

Sesshomaru sighed before shaking his head. I buried my head against his chest and intertwined a hand into his. Sess kissed my forehead and told me to rest since we had a difficult battle ahead of us.
