Hey guys! Its here chapter three! Only a day late :) Hope you guys enjoy this chapter! Im going to be posting a new chapter every few days, and they will be shorter. Chapter four is in progress...
Paperwork. That's all Zuko ever did anymore. Honestly being Firelord wasn't all it cut out to be. So here he was, signing papers and wearing the heaviest clothing to ever exist. He wished he could go back to the days of his exile, well sorta. The whole warthing was not great, but getting to hang out with the Avatar was always fun.
"Firelord Zuko!" Zuko turned to see one of his advisors running towards rolled his eyes and sighed.
"Huan, what is it now? Does King Bumi need more ostrich horses?" He said with a respectfully annoyed tone.
"Azula has escaped."
OoOoOoOoOoOo
From her studies there should be a button somewhere. Azula looked around frantically for the stone button to open the passage. She had read about the secret tunnels in scrolls, but had never been in one. From her calculations, this tunnel should lead straight to the throne room. Azula felt something on her hand. A lever. She pulled down on it and a small stone tunnel opened. She walked through it and the wall closed off behind her. No turning back now. Azula made her way through the small tunnel until she came upon a door. Voices came from behind the trapdoor. Azula heard footsteps above her. She waited until they were only faint and opened the trapdoor. She was right, the throne room was just ahead. She slid out of the underground tunnel and hid behind a pillar. The guards are gone. They know I escaped. Azula hurried over to the throne room and found her brother alone, looking straight at her. Azula said the first thing that came to mind.
"Hey Zuzu."
Obviously Zuko wasn't impressed, because he shot a fireball at her head. Azula narrowly avoided being scorched and screamed angrily.
"ARG! I'VE COME TO TALK ZUKO" She yelled very loudly. Zuko slowly left his fighting stance.
"Why should I trust you? You tried to KILL ME," Zuko exaggerated that last part. I guess he has a point. I was aiming for the water peasant though. Azula thought.
"I want to make up for my mistakes." She said with a calmer voice. Zuko said nothing and stared at her blankly. Azula felt a wave of sadness rush over her. Her lips were trembling and her eyes stared blankly at the floor.
"I thought what I was doing was right. But- I was actually on the wrong side of everything." Azula thought of all the immeasurable things she had done. "You can continue to let me rot in prison, but I want you to know I want to start over. I want to finally be happy."
