~~Hello readers, I'm back with a new chapter.

I do not own anything from Digimon.

Only my original characters belong to me.~~

It was the morning of my second day in the DigiWorld.

Tentomon and I were hanging out with our new friends around a camp fire in a forest.

I sat beside Tai and his Digimon partner Agumon.

Agumon sat between Tai and me.

I gently rubbed the top of Agumon's head. "You're one of the cutest Digimon I've met in this world."

The Digimon just blushed in response.

Sora, Mimi, Izzy, and their Digimon were with us as well.

I watched happily as Tentomon curiously flew around the area.

"Stay close Tentomon," I called.

"All right Sioku," he replied.

Sora grinned at me in amusement.

"I admire your motherly attitude toward Tentomon," she said.

"Thanks, Tentomon has changed my life for the better. I love him so much," I replied with a smile of my own.

I reached into my bag and pulled out a water bottle.

After taking a few sips, I set it down next to me.

Mimi gave me a questioning look. "Sioku, did you seriously get attacked by a Kuwagamon yesterday?"

"Yes, it scared the electricity out of poor Tentomon. Fortunately, I was there to help him stay focused. Tentomon and I escaped and flew into this forest after he shocked and paralyzed it," I explained.

"I'm glad you two got away from that thing," she replied.

"You two make a great team Sioku," Tai complemented.

"We sure do," I said in agreement.

I scanned the area in search for Tentomon.

He was exploring the top of a nearby tree.

Not wanting to bother him, I turned back to my other friends.

Tai turned to me with a curious look in his eyes. "Sioku, how did you and Tentomon meet each other?"

I gave Agumon a hug as a flashback of Julie entered my mind.

His peaceful aura felt very comforting to me.

"It's a long story," I answered.

"Would you like to tell us?" asked Izzy as he looked up from his laptop.

"Of course," I answered happily.

I took a deep breath and placed my hand on Agumon's back. "I first heard Tentomon's voice in my head while waiting for the school bus. It caught me off guard at first because I didn't understand how telepathy worked. My best friend Ariel didn't believe me when I told her. She thought it was a dream I had the previous night. He spoke to me a second time after I got yelled at by my academic assistant for no reason. We continued to communicate through telepathy from that moment on. His voice literally kept me from going insane. Tentomon and I finally met in person as soon as I entered the DigiWorld. We became friends right away," I explained.

"Tentomon must have chosen you to be his human partner," replied Izzy.

"Yes, our beautiful friendship is a dream come true. Tentomon and I were destined for each other," I said with a dreamy smile.

"You're a lucky girl Sioku," replied Sora.

I nodded my head in agreement.

Mimi didn't seem interested in our conversation.

She was busy tending to Palmon.

Tai's cheerful expression turned into a frown of concern as he stared at me. "Sioku, why do you have an academic assistant at school? Why would she yell at you?"

I frowned as Julie's harsh words echoed in my mind.

Hearing her low, unpleasant voice caused me to tense up.

Agumon noticed the sudden change in my mood and climbed into my lap.

I wrapped my arms around the adorable Digimon.

His peaceful aura calmed me down.

"I'm here for you Sioku," Agumon said as he leaned against my chest.

"Thank you Agumon," I softly replied.

"You're a good Digimon," said Tai as he patted Agumon's head.

Agumon gently wagged his tail in response.

"This Digimon reminds me of Milo," I thought while laughing.

I stared up at Tentomon as he flew off of the treetop.

He slowly floated downward and headed toward me.

"Hey Tentomon, did you find anything cool up there?" I asked with a bright smile.

"Not really," he simply answered.

"What were you up in that tree for?" asked Agumon.

"I just needed to clear my head," Tentomon answered.

Tentomon then landed on my shoulder and sighed.

"You're okay Tentomon," I said while placing my hand over him.

That seemed to put him at ease.

I finally decided to answer Tai's questions before they slip away from the conversation.

"I have a mental disability called autism. My attention span has been shortened, and I tend to get emotional more frequently than an average person. I am also very hyper and clumsy at times. Everybody at school except my best friend Ariel refused to talk to me. They all thought I was weird," I explained.

I was thankful that Tentomon showed up when he did.

That story would've been painful to tell without him or Agumon by my side.

"I don't think you're weird at all," replied Sora.

"You're a joy to have around," added Tai.

I grinned in response to their kind words.

They were music to my ears.

"What did your academic assistant do about everyone's ignorance toward you?" asked Izzy.

My smile faded again as I remembered the recent mental scar that Julie had left on me.

The thought of that incident crashed into my head like a ton of bricks.

I felt my chest start to tighten up.

"Her name is Julie, and she didn't help me at all. She constantly bullied me in front of many people instead. Her evil daughter made up nasty rumors about me and spread them around the school. Julie believed every one of those rumors and yelled at me for everything. She accused me of being immature whenever I tried to talk to somebody. Julie also made me stop watching VeggieTales for good by embarrassing me for enjoying the music," I explained.

"How did Julie embarrass you Sioku?" asked Tai.

I tightened my grip on Agumon and took a deep breath.

Agumon laid his head down on my shoulder.

"She made fun of me in front of over 1,000 people at my eighth grade graduation. I can't even think about VeggieTales without that horrendous memory bothering me," I answered angrily.

"Sioku that's horrible! I can't believe that happened to you," exclaimed Sora.

Tai and Izzy remained speechless with shocked expressions on their faces.

They didn't know what to say.

My last explanation caused me to burst into tears.

Sweat began to drip down my forehead.

I immediately felt bad for crying in front of my new friends.

Songs from VeggieTales played in my head, causing me to shut down.

I lowered my head as I continued holding onto Agumon.

My body started to tremble slightly.

Agumon rubbed his head against my neck in a comforting way.

I gave him a small smile as thanks.

Tentomon didn't know exactly how to help me.

He just sat still on my shoulder looking worried.

I desperately wanted to reassure him that I was going to be okay.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to speak at the moment.

Tai gently pulled me into a comforting embrace. "I'm sorry Sioku, my friends and I won't let that happen to you anymore. You're in good hands now."

I gently laid my head on his shoulder as he continued holding onto me.

Being in Tai's warm embrace gave me a sence of security.

Sora, Izzy, and their Digimon watched in silence.

"Agumon chose the perfect partner," I thought.

I started to relax as I stared down at Agumon.

Seeing his cute face again made me smile.

Tai released me once I had calmed down enough to think straight.

A feeling of relief washed over me as I took a deep breath.

"Thank you very much Tai, you really helped me out. I would have been an emotional wreck without you," I said gratefully.

You're welcome Sioku," he replied.

I felt like a ton of emotional weight had just been lifted off of my shoulders.

Opening up to them about my current school situation felt right to me.

"Are you all right Sioku?" asked Tentomon.

I smiled at the sound of my Digimon's voice.

"Yes DigiDearest," I whispered.

"I'm glad you're feeling better Sioku," said Agumon.

I gently released Agumon, and he slowly climbed off of my lap.

The Digimon then walked over to Tai and sat down beside him.

Tentomon floated down to my side, and I lovingly embraced him.

He laid his head on my chest.

I instantly felt all of my worries disappear again.

Holding Tentomon brought me back to a world of serene relaxation.

I couldn't have imagined a better place to be than in the DigiWorld with him.

"You're looking more like yourself Sioku," said Izzy.

"She shure is," replied his Tentomon.

"Your smile is really pretty," continued Tai.

"Please don't ever lose it," added Sora.

"Your kindness means a lot to me. Thank you all for the support," I replied calmly.

My friends grinned at me in response.

I heard a few voices along with Mimi's coming from behind me.

Turning around, I spotted Mimi hanging out with three boys.

Two of the boys were teenagers, and one was a little kid.

Being the curious person that I am, I decided to go over there and introduce myself.

"I'll be right back," I said while standing up.

"We'll wait for you," replied Tai.

With Tentomon still in my arms, I carefully walked over to the small group.

"Sioku is here," said Mimi as I approached them.

"Hello Mimi," I replied.

The little boy ran up to me with a big smile on his face.

He had short, blond hair and blue eyes.

"Wait up T.K.," a high pitched voice called out.

I saw a small, guinea pig-like creature flying after the boy.

The creature had light blue eyes, bat-like wings, and a short, stubby tail.

Tentomon climbed onto my shoulder and stared down at him.

"Don't worry Tentomon, this boy is harmless. I promise," I reassured.

"Hi Sioku, my name is T.K. I have an older brother named Matt," the boy said happily.

I giggled at the excitement in his voice. "You sure have a lot of energy T.K."

T.K. had on green and white strapped tennis shoes, yellow socks, khaki shorts, a light green shirt with long sleeves, a green vest, and an odd green hat with a blue gemstone.

I pointed to the Digimon hovering at T.K.'s side. "Who is this little guy?"

"That's Patamon," T.K. answered.

He curiously pointed at Tentomon who was staring off into space. "Hey Sioku, is your Digimon okay?"

"Yes, Tentomon is just getting used to being around more people. He is also looking out for me," I answered.

T.K. slowly walked until he was standing right in front of me. "Sioku, can I hold him?"

Tentomon shyly lowered his head and jumped into my arms.

I placed my hand over him to ease his anxiety.

"It's okay Digi-Dearest," I said softly.

I then looked back at T.K. "I don't know if Tentomon will let you do that. He freaked out when Izzy tried to grab him a few minutes ago."

The little boy looked up at me confused. "Why does your Tentomon act different from other Digimon?"

"That is something I cannot tell you," I answered firmly.

"Why not?" he asked with a pleading look.

"Stop that T.K.! You can't beg somebody to give you information," called one of the teenage boys.

T.K. frowned as he looked up to see who the voice belonged to.

"Oh no, Matt is going to be mad at me now. Sorry Sioku," he said sadly.

I gently patted the boy's head. "Don't worry about it T.K., I'll talk to him."

T.K. sighed as he walked away.

I paced back and forth to keep Tentomon relaxed.

Tentomon fell asleep in my embrace.

The same teenage boy I heard a minute ago spotted me and began walking in my direction.

I held Tentomon close to my chest as I watched him stop in front of me.

This boy had spiky blond hair and blue eyes.

"Hello Sioku, my name is Matt. I apologize if my little brother disappointed you," he said sincerely.

"Don't worry Matt, everything is okay over here. T.K. already apologized to me," I replied.

"That's good," Matt said in relief.

Matt had on dark brown shoes, light green socks, navy blue jeans, a sleeveless green shirt, and brown gloves.

"There you are Matt," said a male voice from behind him.

"Hey Gabumon," he replied.

I curiously looked behind Matt to see a yellow skinned lizzard wearing a bluish white fur pelt.

There was something about Gabumon that made me perk up.

This Digimon also had a peaceful aura around him.

"Hello Gabumon, my name is Sioku. It's a pleasure to meet you," I said with a bright smile.

"Same to you Sioku," he replied.

I spotted the other teenage boy walking toward us.

This boy was tall, and he had spiky blue hair and black eyes.

"Hello, my name is Sioku," I said.

"I'm Joe," he simply replied.

Joe had on red and white boots, cobalt blue socks, dark grey trousers, a white-purple short sleeved shirt, and a cream vest with blue trimmings over it.

He also wore a green watch on his left wrist and a yellow wristband on his right.

I saw a white, furry sea lion standing behind him.

This creature had large claws, a short tail, an orange-red mane, and long ears.

I blushed and placed my hands over my cheeks. "Oh my gosh, he's so cute!"

"My name is Sioku, who are you?" I asked while pointing to the creature.

"I'm gomamon," the Digimon answered cheerfully.

I turned to Joe with a joyful expression on my face. "Wow, you're so lucky to have a cute Digimon like that."

"Thank you," he replied.

Gomamon stared at Tentomon's sleeping form with a worried look on his face. "Sioku, has your Digimon been fighting lately?"

"No, he's just tired," I simply answered.

"Shall we go join the others?" I asked.

"Sure," answered Matt.

I quietly followed Matt as he led us back to where the rest of our friends were waiting.

"Hey people and Digimon," I said happily as I took a seat next to Tai.

Tentomon woke up and looked at everyone.

"Welcome back Sioku," Tai replied.

"Sioku," cheered Agumon as he hopped into my lap.

"Hi Agumon," I replied happily.

Tentomon quickly jumped onto my shoulder to get out of Agumon's way.

He nervously leaned against my neck.

"Agumon, you need to be more careful around him! Tentomon is easily scared," I scolded.

Tai gave his Digimon a stern look.

Agumon lowered his head in shame.

"I'm so sorry," he said remorsefully.

"I forgive you Agumon," I replied while rubbing his head.

Agumon laid down and closed his eyes.

I turned my attention away from Agumon and gently placed my hand on Tentomon's body to calm him down.

"Relax DigiDearest, I'm right here. You're okay," I softly reassured.

Everybody just watched in silence since they didn't understand Tentomon's situation.

A familiar sounding roar was heard in the distance.

I immediately knew which Digimon the roar belonged to.

"Come on everybody, get ready to fight! Kuwagamon is coming," I warned.

Tentomon looked at me in response.

Agumon woke up and ran back to Tai's side.

"Again? We've already fought that thing before and beat it," shouted Tai.

I couldn't help but chuckle at the annoyance in his voice.

"Why is Kuwagamon coming back?" asked Mimi.

"He's after Tentomon and me," I answered.

"We won't let him get you Sioku," Tai said seriously.

"I'll back you guys up," continued Izzy.

"So will I," added Sora.

Everyone else cheered in agreement.

"I really appreciate your help," I replied gratefully.

Everyone quickly prepared their Digimon for battle.

I watched in awe as most of them Digi-evolved one by one.

"Agumon! Digi-evolve to... Greymon!"

I grinned at the high pitch in Agumon's voice.

"Gabumon! Digi-evolve to... Garurumon!"

"Palmon! Digi-evolve to... Togamon!"

"Biyomon! Digivolve to... Birdromon!"

Izzy's Tentomon was the last Digimon to Digi-evolve.

"Tentomon! Digi-evolve to... Cabutarimon!"

"Gomamon! Digi-evolve to... Ikkakumon!"

All of those Digimon looked like bigger versions of themselves.

I looked over at Patamon confused. "Hey, why didn't that one Digi-evolve?"

"I don't know," answered T.K.

It wasn't long before Kuwagamon showed up ready to attack us.

The vicious Digimon roared as it flew toward Patamon.

"Somebody help me," cried T.K. as he grabbed Patamon.

The other Digimon tried to distract Kuwagamon with their combined attacks.

My favorite attack to watch was Cabutarimon's Electro Shocker.

All of their attacks weakened and injured Kuwagamon badly.

Fortunately, Kuwagamon wasn't able to go after T.K. and Patamon anymore.

The other Digimon then changed back into their rookie forms to regain their strength.

Unfortunately, Kuwagamon still had enough energy to fight back.

"I'm coming to help you T.K.! Run away now," I hollered while rushing toward him.

"Thank you Sioku," he said before running off with his Digimon.

"Thank you for saving my brother Sioku," Matt said gratefully.

"You're very welcome," I replied.

Kuwagamon roared loudly as it aimed an attack straight at me.

I screamed in pain as I got stung in the chest.

"That's going to leave a welt," I said nervously while rubbing my wounded chest.

"Sioku! No," hollered Tai.

"I'll be fine," I replied breathlessly.

Tai bolted to my side with Agumon running behind him.

I was relieved to see them again.

"Are you okay Sioku?" Tai asked with concern.

"My chest hurts, but I should be fine," I answered reassuringly.

Tentomon bravely hopped off of my shoulder and flew circles around Kuwagamon to confuse it.

"Please be careful DigiDearest," I said fearfully.

"Have no fear Sioku. I'll take this one out," he replied confidently.

I gave him an approving smile in response.

"You can do it Tentomon," Tai cheered.

"Super Shocker," Tentomon called out.

Volts of electricity were shot toward Kuwagamon at full speed.

Kuwagamon stood his ground and unleashed a series of attacks on Tentomon.

My heart sank to the floor as I watched the scene in horror.

I hated seeing my Digimon get beat down like that.

Although Tentomon's body was weakening, his fighting spirit remained with him.

"Tentomon, do you want to try Digi-evolving? It might help you out," I suggested.

Tentomon froze in terror at my suggestion.

Kuwagamon roared again, causing Tentomon to flinch nervously.

"DigiDearest, what's wrong?" I asked with deep concern.

There was no response from him.

He just hovered in one spot while breathing heavily.

"Sioku, what's wrong with Tentomon? Why won't he move?" Tai asked frantically.

"He's afraid to Digi-evolve," I answered.

Kuwagamon aimed another attack at Tentomon.

Unfortunately, my Digimon couldn't get out of the way in time.

"Tentomon! No," I cried.

Tai picked up a broken tree branch and hit Kuwagamon with it.

Kuwagamon was sent flying backward and fell to the ground.

"You really handed it to him! Nice shot Tai," I praised.

Tai just smiled and then wanted to continue our conversation.

"Why? Did something happen to him?" he asked.

""Yes, but it's personal," I answered.

The rest of my friends gathered around to help us out.

Their Digimon Digi-evolved a second time and prepared themselves to attack Kuwagamon.

They didn't worry much about Kuwagamon's speed since its body had already been severely weakened.

"Sioku, grab Tentomon and get out of here! We'll distract this flying fiend," hollered Izzy.

"I'm right behind you Izzy," said Cabutarimon.

"Thank you," I replied with a sigh of relief.

"Hey Kuwagamon! Over here," shouted Tai as they Took off into the forest.

I admired Tai's courage and bravery.

"that kid has no fear," I said with a bright smile.

Kuwagamon roared and flew after Tai and Greymon.

Everybody else followed suit and launched more attacks at Kuwagamon.

Without hesitating, I rushed over to Tentomon's side.

"Come here DigiDearest," I said soothingly.

Tentomon just looked away from me in response.

A wave of guilt washed over me as I remembered what he said yesterday.

"This is my fault," I sadly thought.

Without thinking, I pulled him into a tight embrace.

I then sat down next to the fire pit.

The fire was now almost out.

Fortunately, I was sitting in a patch of soft grass.

Tentomon started to shake violently in my arms.

I looked down and saw that his eyes were closed.

My heart raced as I held him close to me.

"Tentomon? What's happening to you? Please respond," I said sadly.

The frightened Digimon wearily looked up at me.

~Flashback~

Mira and Tentomon were being attacked by Kuwagamon.

The monstrous Digimon was headed straight toward them ready to attack.

Tentomon looked hesitantly at Kuwagamon and then back at Mira.

"Mira, let's run away from that thing! We can't fight it by ourselves," he hollered.

Mira threw him a death glare and pulled out a whip.

"I don't have time for cowards Tentomon! Digi-evolve and protect me," she ordered.

~End of Flashback~

"Mira, please don't hurt me again! I don't have the strength to Digi-evolve," he said timidly.

My heart stung as I sensed the pain he was feeling.

"Oh no, my poor Tentomon is having a flashback. I need to find a way to bring him back right away," I thought.

I gently placed my hand over his shaking body to try and sooth him.

He didn't sho any reaction.

"Tentomon, this is Sioku. Stay with me," I said softly.

I continued talking and trying to bring him back.

A few minutes later, Izzy came rushing toward me with his Tentomon flying after him.

"Hey you two," I said quietly.

Izzy carefully sat down next to me. "Hi Sioku, I came to check on you since Cabutarimon Digi-evolved back to Tentomon. How is your Tentomon feeling?"

I suddenly started to feel a calming sense of relief in his presence.

"Tentomon's mind is stuck inside a terrible flashback from his past. I'm not sure of what to do for him," I answered sadly.

Izzy stared at my Tentomon while thinking to himself.

At the same time, I was still trying to calm Tentomon down.

The Digimon still wasn't responding to my voice.

However, I wasn't about to give up on my little friend.

"I have an idea Sioku," said Izzy as he looked up at me.

I looked at him with a hopeful expression. What is it?"

"Walking around with your Tentomon might relax him," Izzy suggested.

I paused at that in realization.

"You're right Izzy, pacing around really did help him calm down. Thank you," I replied with a grateful smile.

"I'm glad I could help you out Sioku," he said with an accomplished look on his face.

I paused and looked around the area in confusion. "Hold on izzy, where are the others?"

"Don't worry Sioku, Kuwagamon has finally been defeated. They're coming back to us right now," he answered reassuringly.

"Oh that's good," I said with a relieved sigh.

I then slowly stood up and started walking around while still keeping a tight grip on Tentomon.

Izzy turned away from his laptop to watch.

A song was stuck in my head, and I couldn't help but start singing it.

"Her singing voice is beautiful," said Izzy's Tentomon.

"I completely agree with you," Izzy replied.

My voice caused Tentomon to relax and open his eyes.

Izzy smiled at us from a distance.

The sudden change in Tentomon's condition caused me to pause immediately.

I gasped happily as I stared down at him. "Tentomon, do you still remember me?"

Tentomon just nodded his head in response.

A feeling of pure joy washed over me.

My heart raced as I gently hugged my Digimon.

"Welcome back Tentomon," I whispered lovingly.

"Sioku, I think you've brought him back. Nice work," Izzy said proudly.

"You truly are a remarkable person," continued his Tentomon.

It felt great to hear their words of praise.

"Thank you very much," I replied.

I quietly returned to my spot beside Izzy.

He was working on a program for his computer.

Tentomon snuggled into my chest and yawned.

"You must be exhausted Tentomon," I said while adjusting my sitting position.

Tentomon closed his eyes and fell asleep on me.

I couldn't stop staring at him.

He just looked so adorable.

Izzy's Tentomon floated between Izzy and me and stopped at my side.

"Hey Tentomon," I said quietly.

"Hello Sioku, your Digimon is looking quite peaceful. You're doing a marvelous jobtaking care of it," he complemented.

Tentomon's kind words gave me a sense of pride that I never had before.

"Thank you," I replied with a bright smile.

"I sense a special connection between you two. Sioku, you have an amazing gift. I really admire you," he added.

I gratefully patted the other Tentomon's head in response.

The Digimon and I relaxed while Izzy continued to work.

Having two Tentomon with me was a wonderful dream that I didn't want to wake up from.

All of my worries about Julie were completely blocked out.

I could no longer hear that unpleasant voice of hers.

My mind was finally clear for the first time in forever.

I decided to rest for a while since my Tentomon was still asleep.

Izzy's Tentomon remained by my side to watch over us.

The calming sounds of nature pulled me deep into my thoughts.

However, this quiet moment didn't last very long.

The voices of our friends brought me back to reality.

Izzy's Tentomon watched as everyone gathered around the empty fire pit.

I smiled in relief knowing they were all okay.

Tai and Agumon approached me from the left.

Seeing their faces again made me smile.

"Hey Sioku, how are you?" asked Tai.

"I'm fine," I answered with a yawn.

"I'm so glad you two are all right," said Agumon.

"Same to you guys," I replied.

I rubbed Agumon's head as he nuzzled me.

Tai looked down at my Tentomon and then up at me.

"You look tired Sioku," he pointed out.

"Oh I'm exhausted," I whispered.

"Agumon and I can leave if you want us to," Tai offered.

"I won't mind at all if you stay over here," I replied.

The four of us remained silent as we listened to the others talk amongst themselves.

I carefully laid down on my back in the soft grass.

Tentomon began to twitch in his sleep, so I whispered reassurances while holding him.

Luckily, I was able to calm him down before anything could happen.

Tai grinned at me in amazement.

"Wow, Sioku, I'm really impressed. You're a real pro at helping Digimon," he said proudly.

"That's because I relate to my Tentomon in many ways," I replied.

"Agumon likes you too," he added.

I yawned and closed my eyes.

My body gave in to exhaustion, and I drifted off to sleep.
