"We're in a water-based world now." Aruma said as the group looked around.
"So, if what Jose went through is of any indication, this next victim's despair is based around water." Kita said.
"Very observant of you, young Maeda. Yes, indeed. Each world based on a person's heart is centered around a certain theme. Only by observing the events leading to their despair in full can you take the first step in freeing them." Balan said.
"Yeah, Kita has always been good at these kinds of observations. I mean, he's the biggest brain in the class, including myself." David said.
"Oh, Dave. You're just too humble. I could never pull off all that stuff you do." Kita said.
"I think it really is saying something, because we've seen a lot of people come and go in the Hero Alliance, and David here is one of the smartest people among them." Sachiko said.
"And it shows. He always seems to know what he's doing. Though, it does make him a bit crazy at times." Aruma said. "It's honestly kind of a miracle he's still alive right now."
"Well, it's not so much a miracle, as much as it is that I've had others bail me out most of the time." David said. "No, seriously. If not for all of them, I wouldn't even be where I am right now."
"Heh. Now who's the one being modest?" Kazuma asked.
"Still, young Maeda, intelligence is a very valuable asset in the times we are in now. Treasure your knowledge, and share your wisdom with those around you. It may even help them in the coming times." Balan said.
"Hmm… You make a very good point, Balan." Kita said.
As they reach the end of the zone, they see a vision of a girl swimming underwater with a dolphin, having fun with it. However, the dolphin got a little too rough, and tackled her air tank off of her, causing her to almost drown and see the dolphin in fear. Bedridden and traumatized, she falls in tears from her hospital room. The group emerge in a sort of underwater arena where they see the diver turn into a fish like figure with a pompadour.
"Damn it… Here we go again." Kazuma said.
"Yeah. We know the routine by now." David said.
The group got to it and with a bit of a struggle, managed to defeat her.
"Thank you. My name is Fiona Demetria. I'm a deep diver. Or at least… I was." the girl said.
"Was?" Rankira asked.
"Yeah… The dolphin knocked my air tank off and I've been afraid of diving ever since." Fiona said. "That dolphin… He probably hates me, that's why he left me like this…"
"That's wrong!" Aruma said. "Dolphins would never do that intentionally. They're very friendly. Well… Maybe overly friendly, but the fact of the matter is, they've been known to be very affectionate."
"Then how do you explain…" Fiona started.
"A total freak accident." Naomi said. "I'm very sure that dolphin didn't mean to hurt you. He's probably in as much pain as you are."
"She's right. Either way, I'm very sure he regrets putting you in that situation, and is desperately pleading for you to forgive him!" Aruma said.
"I… I was so scared when he did that. And I did nothing but treat him badly… Thank you, you guys. Once I recover, I owe him a big-time apology." Fiona said.
Some time after Fiona recovered, she was on a boat, looking around until she saw the dolphin again with a saddened look on his face. He starts chittering, as if apologizing.
"No, no… I should be the one apologizing." Fiona said. "I know you didn't mean it, and I still treated you like you hated me." she said before smiling. "So… Would you want to swim with me again?"
The dolphin was happy to hear that she had forgiven him and the two of them were soon underwater again, only this time, Fiona learned to swim without an air tank.
"That was just so beautiful. You did a pretty good job there, Aruma. Have you considered being in animal care someday?" David asked.
"Maybe I have. Must be the Beastmaster Asterisk, but I feel the need to preserve wildlife, I mean… They deserve some love too, right?" Aruma asked.
"I can see your point. I mean, that's what I figured while I was working in my family's vet business." Naomi said.
"Who knows? Maybe we'll help you tame that Cheetah lady that's always following you around." Aruma said.
"Let's not get too hasty." David said as the group shared a laugh at this conversation.
